Item #: SCP-6034

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6034 is allowed to roam the facility freely, should he be on his best behavior. Subject is not allowed to leave his containment chamber between the hours of 12 A.M to 9 A.M, due to the need for sleep. The cell is to be kept clean, and food replaced 3 times a day. All personnel are allowed in if they wish. However the subject may lash out at intruders if in a bad mood.

Description: SCP-6034 appears to be a 6 foot tall male humanoid, weighing in at about 160 pounds, give or take, as weight fluctuates after feeding. The subject has sea green eyes, and raven black hair. His skin is tanned, despite not being exposed to much sunlight. He seems to have a human anatomy and above average reflexes. Remarkably, he smells of the ocean, even despite not having a shower in over a week.

SCP-6034's temperament is best described as laid back, but can be quick to anger, and will lash out if threatened. He often makes conversation during evaluations, liking to talk. He will often crack jokes, liking to make organisms laugh.

When angered, SCP-6034 will lash out and potentially harm anyone nearby. He will wield an ancient xiphos in his hand and will strike with gracefulness that suggests he has had practice with a sword before. The sword also has a pen form that he carries around with him in his pocket. Dr. [REDACTED] tried to take his pen away, only for him to smirk, and to be twirling it around not an hour later.

The subject's main power is the ability to control water and possibly other liquids. He has complete control over the substance. He is known to make pools for amphibious SCP's when they visit him. He can breathe underwater. There is no known limit, so it is most likely indefinite. All injuries heal when the subject is in contact with water. It is rumored that he has powers over earthquakes, though evidence of this is scarce.

The subject is on suicide watch. While no actions have been made to carry this out, several passing remarks have been made.

The subject will talk to anyone, but has a special bond with SCP-999. He can often be seen talking to the orange blob, and often walking the premises together. If they are seen together, SCP-6034 is safe to approach, due to the calming influence of the "Tickle Monster"

SCP-6034's diet includes any human food, with a slight distaste towards broccoli. His favorite food appears to be chocolate chip cookies dyed blue. He refuses to eat seafood.

Subject likes to go by the name, Percy Jackson.

Artemis stared at the subject's case file. This was the first time a SCP had a preferred name. At least, the first time that she knew of. She had only just joined full-time. Before then, she just had little visits.

SCP was an organization that was first started by her father, Zeus. It was founded when Zeus was in Mesopotamia and stumbled upon a massive angelic figure which stood in front of a massive portal. He then heard a voice in his head say, "Prepare". It was a family business that began to grow after a couple of years, with branches in Spain, Russia, and The Czech Republic to name a few.

She entered the cell. The room was dark, but she could see the subject's outline. The subject was staring at the wall, twirling a pen in his hand. The sound of the opening door caused SCP-6034 to turn to the new doctor. His green eyes seemed to pierce the absence of light, even looking like they glowed.

Artemis flicked the lights on. They both took a moment to let their eyes adjust to the new light. Artemis looked around the room for the first time. The walls were bare, just like any other cell, but it seemed to be more well-furnished. A bed was set up in the corner, made very nicely. A small bookshelf sat at the foot of the bed. All the books were covered in a thick layer of dust, covering the spines of the book, suggesting that he hadn't read in a while. A plate of blue cookies sat on a desk on the opposite wall.

She turned to the subject. He had stood up and was putting the pen in his pocket. He extended a hand for a handshake, which she hesitantly took. She noticed a tattoo of a trident on the underside of his left arm. She wondered if it was new since it wasn't on the file.

"So, they finally sent a technician to check up on me?"

"Actually, I'm an O5 councilman, but let's not hassle over the details. We heard you got into a fight with another subject." Artemis replied, speaking in a formal tone.

"The guy inside that cube thingy, yeah." The subject said.

"SCP-6034, I'm going to need the full story."

"Please, call me Percy." Percy said, a hopeful expression on his face.

"Subject."

Percy sighed. "Fine." He paused to sit on the bed. He adjusted the pillow to be behind his back. Artemis watched with an indignant look in her eye. "So, I was minding my own business..."

Percy was walking down a hallway while an orange blob known as the Tickle Monster sat on his shoulder. He was talking to the gelatinous blob, while the blob would gurgle back like a newborn baby.

"I'm telling you, blue cookies beat M&M's any day." Percy said.

"Gurgle, shriek!" SCP-999 responded.

"You just haven't tried Hestia's baking."

The sound of ripping metal from a hallway up ahead stopped the conversation. Sounds of feet hitting the ground grew closer. From the hallway came a man looking in his late 20's. He had black hair, and gray eyes. He was shirtless, revealing all of his tattoos. There were many, depicting demonic faces.

Percy had heard about this subject in passing. SCP-076. Nicknamed Able. Able summoned a sword faster than Percy's eyes could see, and charged at Percy. Percy reached into his pocket and brought out Riptide, his own sword.

Tickle Monster covered Percy's chest, making light gurgling noises. It expanded to cover his entire torso. Percy blocked a slash from the demonic tattooed man. Able took a couple of steps back.

During this, Percy saw that his sword and hand had some blood on them. He idly wondered which guard was unlucky enough to be on duty. He stared at the gray eyes, getting ready to block another attack.

Able was fast, faster than Percy. Hell, Percy should have died multiple times. The only thing really keeping him alive was 999. The constant contact was giving him enough euphoria to block out the stinging sensation of his bleeding body. His ankle was bleeding heavily from when Able had struck it, trapping Percy.

Percy continued to block about half of Able's attacks, when he saw an opening in Able's guard. He hoped to high heaven, and swung.

SHHLUUCK. THUMP.

Able's head rolled on the ground, before it and his body crumbled into dust rapidly. It was then that Percy registered the alams that were ringing throughout the halls.

"... I passed out, only to wake up in my bed, bandaged." He rolled up his jean leg, to show that his ankle was indeed bandaged.

Artemis wrote something down on the case file, something to be added later. "Well, that was all I was here for. Have a good day, subject."

Artemis walked out of the room.

LINE BREAK

Percy was sitting in a chair in a common room. The Tickle Monster was with him. They were having a staring contest. Of course, they both had big smiles on their faces.

It had been about a month since Artemis' visit, and Percy had all but forgotten it. As in, it was still on the forefront of his mind. He didn't know why the Administrator would send a member of the 05 down to see him.

Sure, he got into a fight with Able, but that wasn't that big of a deal. He just killed a guy that, for the record, had been killed before. Maybe it was a safety thing.

Unknown to him, plans were being made by the 05-council. They had a meeting scheduled that Artemis was late for. She walked into the meeting room.

She looked around to see everyone there, except for 2. Her twin brother Apollo, and her half brother, Dionysus. You see, Zeus was known as a serial cheat. Despite being married to Hera, another member of the 05, he had children with Artemis' mother, Leto, as well as some random woman to get Dionysus. Athena was a product of Zeus and his 1st wife, Metis.

Ares was a child of Zeus and Hera, while Hephaestus was a product of Hera by herself. Hermes was another bastard child, with his mother Maia. The other members were her father, who was the Administrator, his wife, Hera, his sister, Demeter, his other sister, Hestia, and his brother, Poseidon.

Poseidon surprisingly looked a lot like SCP-6034, though he claims that the subject is in no way related to him.

Artemis sat in her seat and waited for her father to officially start the meeting. It started when her idiotic brothers finally arrived. Though, both were drunk off their asses.

"Alright, we had Artemis check on SCP-6034 after another subject broke free. Somehow 6034 was involved. Artemis, what happened?" Zeus explained while asking his daughter.

Artemis rose from her seat. "6034 wasn't involved in the escape of the other subject, but instead killed it. He revealed that the subject that escaped was 076." She explained before sitting down.

"Well, that is interesting. The last time 076 got free, we had to detonate the on-site nuclear warhead to destroy Containment Area-25. This might be useful." Zeus paused for a moment. "That is not all. I have reason to believe that the moment we have been preparing for is coming. Sooner than we all hoped."

Poseidon gasped. "You don't mean-"

Zeus nodded. "Yes brother, the Scarlet King is rising."

"So what do we do about it?" Dionysus asked.

"For now, nothing. But, Artemis, I want you to keep an eye on 6034, he might be useful in the coming dark times."

Artemis stood up quickly. "Father, you can't possibly-"

"I can and am! No questions, or protesting about it!"

Artemis sat back down. That was the end of the meeting.

LINE BREAK

Artemis started watching Percy the next week. She didn't understand why, all this guy did was eat, sleep, and hang out with other subjects. Mainly SCP-999.

Another that he frequently visited was SCP-054. Now, this surprised Artemis, as 054 had a very strong distaste for men. After several probing experiments, something went wrong and she no longer trusted the male personnel.

In fact, 054 was one of the reasons that Artemis didn't particularly like men. So to see him walk in and leave unscathed, it was a weird sight.

He would also nap a lot. Like, half of his day was spent asleep. If he wasn't sleeping, or playing with 999, he was probably asking a guard or lab scientist for more blue cookies.

He didn't have a set schedule, and only did things as they came to mind.

Apparently, he noticed her observing though, because when they were in a room alone, he spoke up.

"Why are you stalking me?"

"I'm not stalking you." Artemis replied.

"And I'm not addicted to blue cookies." Percy scoffed.

"Self awareness. That's shocking."

"Well someone's rude today." Percy muttered.

Artemis didn't say anything.

"So, are you going to answer my question?"

"Because I am forced to. I don't want to follow you around all the time." Artemis said.

"Then don't be so obvious." Percy said, before getting up and leaving the room.

LINE BREAK

Percy sat at the cafeteria table, eating a blue cookie. 999 sat across from him, eating a pack of M&M's. They were enjoying themselves when a third member joined their table.

They turned to look at the newcomer, only to see Artemis. She had a plate of chicken, with a bottle of root beer on her tray.

"Why are you here?" Percy asked.

"I have to eat too." Artemis replied.

"Yeah, but why at our table?"

She was going to say something, but she was interrupted by a loud noise. They turned to see the Tickle Monster with a bottle of root beer being sucked dry. Percy instantly reached towards him and grabbed the bottle of soda out of its mouth. It was too late though, as every drop of soda was gone.

Percy sighed. "Great. Now he's going to be impossible to catch, and then he's going to be sick."

"What?" Artemis asked, confused.

"He can't have caffeinated drinks. He starts bouncing off the walls, then he feels sick and won't feel well afterwards. Shouldn't you know this?"

"This was never on his file!"

Orange blob's eyes widened, and his smile grew. He jumped up, like 30 feet in the air, before widening out, and slowly floating back down. He started to float off to the side.

Percy got up from his seat, his cookies forgotten. Artemis followed. They chased him for about half an hour, before he, quite literally, had a sugar crash. 999 was in the air, when it suddenly just fell to the ground.

Percy brought it back to its cell, while Artemis waited outside. He came out of the room, closing the door quietly.

"Is he good?" Artemis asked.

Percy nodded. "Yeah, he'll be fine."

"So..."

"So..."

The silence was awkward.

"So how do you know what happens when you give him caffeinated drinks?" Artemis asked.

"I gave him an Orange Crush once." Percy said, cringing.

They sat there talking for a couple of minutes, before saying good night.

"See you tomorrow, Percy?" Artemis asked.

"I don't really have a choice, do I?" Percy said, joking.

"Nope." Artemis said, a smile spreading on her face.

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow." Percy said.

LINE BREAK

"Come."

The word ran through Percy's head as he woke up. He was not in his pen back at the SCP site, but instead he woke up in a patch of grass. He looked around to see wilderness all around him.

He stood up shakily. He picked a direction that felt right, and followed it. He walked for a couple of minutes, before coming before 2 very large pearly gates. Guarding them was a 1,000 foot angel with 6 wings. He wielded a sword made of flames.

"Ah, young one. You made it. Please sit."

Percy stared at the colossal entity. Then he registered the being's words and sat in the grass.

"Who are you?" Percy asked.

The being was silent for a moment. "I am the Gate Guardian, so just refer to me as such."

"Okay, Gate Guardian, why am I here?"

"Do you know about the Scarlet King?"

"The-who?"

"A child was born at the same time as the planting of the Tree of Life. He was the youngest of his siblings, but the only one aware of his existence. This knowledge brought him great pain. He decided to fix that by ending existence itself. He consumed his siblings, growing stronger with each one's essence. He declared war on the Tree of Life. He has not acted yet, but he soon will."

"Why are you telling me this?" Percy asked.

"Because, he will rise, and a hero will defeat him."

"You're saying that I'm-"

The Gate Guardian laughed. "No, he would squash you like a bug. You won't defeat him, but you will play a role in his demise."

And with that, Percy woke up.

LINE BREAK

Artemis walked into the 05 meeting room. Her father had called an emergency meeting, though she wasn't sure what it was about. She had been doing what her father had asked, granted, she was closer to him than she needed to be. And the way that he made her feel sometimes-

Oh, her father had just called the meeting to a start.

"So, Artemis, how has observation on 6034 been going?" Zeus asked.

Artemis cleared her throat, getting ready to speak. "It's been going well."

"Yes, so I've heard. Been getting comfortable with 6034, have you?"

Artemis narrowed her eyes. "What are you saying, father?"

"Nothing. Just that you are getting attracted to a monster." Zeus said nonchalantly.

"Percy. Is not a monster." Artemis defended.

"Ah, but he beheaded a man, did he not?"

"That 'man' was a demonic murderer with an insatiable bloodlust, which if I remember correctly, murdered agent Smith!"

Zeus ignored his daughter though. "It appears that you have forgotten what we do here at SCP, and our duties as an 05. As such, I am removing you from your duties."

Artemis' eyes widened.

"Dad, I think this is going too far-" Apollo said.

"Apollo, stay out of this. And no, your sister needs to learn that we do not negotiate with monsters."

Artemis stared at her father, before standing up, and spitting in his direction. I wish you hell." She said, before leaving the room, head held high.

"I think that was an overreaction." Poseidon said.

"It wasn't. She needs to learn." Zeus said. "Meeting dismissed."

LINE BREAK

Percy sat in the water cell of SCP-054. His knees were pulled up to his chest. 054 floated around him, making sure he didn't move really suddenly. He was still coming to grips with what he just realized.

"How?" He mumbled. "Out of all people, why her?"

054 watched with a sad expression on her face. She swam up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. He looked at her with a confused expression on her face.

"Look, you've proven yourself to be better than Smith." She spat out the name of her past fling. "But you have to be sure that she's everything she says she is. Don't want a repeat of my history."

Percy nodded. "Fuckin Smith." He muttered. "Glad 076 took care of him. But he also got me into this mess."

"Yes, he does seem to have some interesting..." She paused. "Well, I can't think of a word, but you know what I mean."

"Gulp, gulp." This noise came from the corner, where 999 was absorbing liquids. While his surface was slightly hydrophobic, he could drink stuff, as shown earlier with him drinking soda.

"No, don't drink that!" 054 reprimanded him.

999 stopped, and started pouting. He started whimpering, not unlike a dog. Percy and 054 stared in shock at him.

"I didn't know he could do that." Percy said.

"Me either." 054 said.

"Thank you." Percy said, turning back to the water spirit. "For everything."

"No problem." 054 said.

LINE BREAK

The end of the world started when the SCP site exploded. Percy was in his pen, taking a nap, when he was thrown from the bed. He flew into the wall, effectively walking him up. He fell onto the floor headfirst.

He groaned as he got up. He opened his eyes to see that he had just got a renovation to his room. A new open floor plan, with no walls, and fire everywhere. Other SCP's were running around aimlessly. It was chaos.

Amidst the carnage, Percy was able to see his buddy, 999, rolling around. For the 1st time, the Tickle Monster looked afraid. His eyes scanned the ruins, until they landed on Percy.

Making high pitched sounds, the Tickle Monster sped over to the young man. It jumped onto Percy, encasing his entire torso. Euphoria spread through Percy, calming him down significantly.

Percy noticed that a huge shadow seemed to be blocking out the sun. He looked to the sky to see what he could only describe as a nightmare that only H.P. Lovecraft could dream, and fear.

It was a shadow. One made of the darkest black. It was humanoid, at least in shape, With numerous red eyes placed on its chest. An elongated grin stretched its 'face'. Percy had to admit, the thing had pretty white teeth. Of course, they were all sharpened into points, like how a child would draw a shark's mouth. Tendrils came off of his body, stretching out, and looking intimidating, but ultimately not doing anything.

The Scarlet King.

It was bound in chains, before the chains snapped. It spread its arms up, before plunging a hand into Mars. He took a chunk out and... fucking. Ate it. Then the planet just exploded.

The entity turned its sight to Earth. It reached out its hand to do the same. In a millisecond, the hand was already on the Earth. And Percy was right next to it.

"999's the key to it all. Remember that." The Gate Guardian's advice rang through his head.

He looked at his longest friend. The orange blob made a little gurgle. Percy picked it up and threw it at the shadowy hand. The orange was just a speck on the black arm, but it slowly grew.

The hand let go of the earth and went up to its eye chest to examine the new color. 999 kept growing, covering more and more of the Scarlet King.

Now, euphoria was something new to this destroyer, and apparently didn't like it. It howled in pain, before deciding to off itself. Now personally, that wouldn't be Percy's first option, but he could understand it.

The Tickle Monster spread out very wide and flat, and slowly floated down to Earth.

LINE BREAK

Percy and the Tickle Monster were called for a meeting of the 05-council. This normally wasn't a good thing. Actually, this had never happened before, so Percy had no idea what to expect.

Percy's anxiety ran for miles, only coming under control when Orangey hugged Percy. He made himself home in Percy's hoodie pocket. It was one of those pockets on the front that are connected because there's no zipper. You know what I'm talking about.

The entire process was kind of weird. They woke him up at the crack of dawn, and loaded him into an armored truck. Maybe they thought he was going to break out? Percy couldn't bring himself to care. He would rather do this than help rebuild the SCP site.

Since the meeting room was in a secure location, he had no idea where they were. The cargo hold of the truck had no windows, so he was in the dark about their location.

The truck stopped. The back doors opened, allowing Percy and the Tickle Monster exit. After being in the semi-dark truck, the sunlight blinded their eyes.

Luckily it wasn't a problem for long, as they went indoors. Apparently this site was built into a mountain. Percy wasn't sure why, maybe for a nuclear holocaust or something?

A pair of guards flanked them as they led the duo down multiple corridors, before coming to a door at the end of a hallway. "Through there." One of the guards said.

Percy nodded. He opened the door and walked inside.

The room was more like a throne room than anything. With seats in the shape of a U. There were 13, but only 12 were occupied. Seat number 8 was empty.

The person at the head was none other than the Administrator, Zeus himself. He had sky blue eyes and graying hair. His beard was gray as well. He wore a pinstripe suit, as he stared at Percy, no emotions in his eyes.

Percy stood there awkwardly. Even the Tickle Monster was getting a little nervous.

Finally, Zeus called the meeting to a start.

"SCP-6034 and SCP-999, we have called you two in today for a reason. Due to your involvement in the fight with the Scarlet King, and after careful consideration, we have decided to release you both into modern society." Zeus said, though he seemed to be forced to say it.

Percy was in shock. He couldn't remember what happened during the rest of the meeting. It was like he blacked out. Next thing he knew, he was outside of the SCP site.

The sun on his skin felt freeing. He was free to do whatever, law abiding of course. Waiting at the front by the wire fence was Artemis.

LINE BREAK

Percy entered the house, and was hit full force with chaos. The kitchen was on fire, food was strewn on the ground, Artemis was trying to put out the fire with a towel. And the Tickle Monster, he was sitting on the island, swaying back and forth, like this was his vibe.

As far as Percy could tell, the fire was not related to any of the other stuff, so he summoned some water from the sink, and put it out.

"What happened?" Percy asked.

"I spilled some water, so I got a towel to pick it up, but the towel touched the candle, then got lit on fire. I tried to get to the water, but I ended up knocking over the dinner ingredients. And then, well, you walked in." Artemis explained.

Percy sighed. "Fast food it is then, I guess."

Artemis nodded.

Sure, it was a little chaotic, but he would rather be Percy Jackson than SCP-6034.

A/N. Well, another one shot that's on the longer side. This was my 1st dip into SCP, so it's definitely not something that showcases all that SCP offers. I literally started this like the day after I got into it. So, because of that, I actually got a beta reader for this one. I prefer to work alone on things, mostly because it feels kinda personal in a way. Like these stories are kind of a glimpse of me. You know, with my 'style' where everything is kind of light hearted and stuff. But I felt that having a beta for this would be a good idea.

And holy shit, I was so right. There was so much that he caught and fixed. So everyone, please say 'Thank you Azraelus1!'.

Again, I don't know if a beta is going to become a regular thing for me, but it's good to know that it's there if I want to work with someone.

Thoughts?
