What If Sabrina stood up for herself?
Chloe and Sabrina were paired up with Marinette on a project, but of course Chloe was not the cooperative type, leaving Sabrina and Marinette to do the project. All of a sudden, an Akuma showed up at school making Marinette leave to transform into Ladybug. The confrontation was so mysterious that it led into a questionnaire with the target? Who's the target? Chloe, of course. Chloe was irritating Ladybug so much that she leapt away home leaving Cat Noir alone. As soon as she got home, she detransforms and throws her bag on her bed.
Tikki: (Muffled) Ow! (Tikki pops out from Marinette's purse) Hey!
Marinette: Sorry, Tikki... Chloé! She just...fires up this little red bug!
Tikki: Well, simmer down! A hot head isn't going to get you anywhere!
Marinette: It's hard to keep my cool. Especially in school. Oh my gosh! Sabrina! The project! (She checks her cellphone, and sees a lot of missed calls from Sabrina)
Tikki: Uh-oh... Looks like you got yourself a new BFF!
Mari hears her mom call her down.
Mari: Coming Maman!
Marinette comes down and sees Sabrina down in the living room.
Sabine: Sabrina tells me that you two and Chloe are paired up for a project.
Mari: Yes of course, I was totally going to call you back. Why don't we go upstairs and work on the project.
Sabrina: Yay!
Sabrina runs upstairs with excitement.
Sabine: If anything uncomfortable happens, just let us know.
Marinette: Got it mom.
Mari kisses her mom on the cheek and runs into her room. She finds Sabrina standing there laughing.
Marinette: What's so funny?
Sabrina: Oh, I'm sorry Marinette, but Chloe and I made a bet about your feelings towards Adrien. The decor of your room screams crush.
Mari blushes for a second before processing what she said. She walks over to her computer.
Mari: Wait. You two made a bet about me?
Sabrina: Yeah! Chloe bet in a million years that you didn't like Adrien in that way, but me being more attentive, bet that you have the biggest crush on…
Sabrina looks out the window and gapes.
Mari: Sabrina? You okay?
All of a sudden the window is erased and in comes a super villain. Sabrina screams and hides in a corner while Mari stands there.
Marinette: It's you! From the library! What are you doing here?
Evillustrator: I just wanted to see you.
Marinette: Okay... But why did you attack Chloé?
Evillustrator: 'Cause Chloé is cruel and selfish!
Marinette: Can't argue with that... Are you going to hurt me?
Evillustrator: You? You're Marinette! You're beautiful and sweet and... you're perfect and I could never hurt you!
Marinette: Wow...that's, uh... very, umm...flattering! Uh, thank you?
Evillustrator: So, I just came by to ask you, it, uh, well, it's my birthday today, and, uh, would you wanna come to my party?
Marinette: Oh, umm... Actually, it's not really the best night. See, I got a presentation to work on, and…
Evillustrator: Oh please, Marinette! It'll just be you and me. (draws an invitation and gives it to her)
Marinette: Oh my gosh! That's...me!
Evillustrator: You like it?
Marinette: I...love it! So much that I will absolutely be at your party. On one condition.
Evillustrator: Anything for you, Marinette.
Marinette: You can't hurt Chloé anymore. I simply cannot bear violence.
Evillustrator: For you and only you. Meet you on the left bank, next to Notre-Dame, at sunset! (draws a rocketpack, and flies away)
Sabrina peers out the corner and sees Marinette alone.
Sabrina: Oh my gosh, a supervillain asked you out. Are you okay? Why did you accept?
Honestly, Mari forgot she was there in the moment and was going to call Cat Noir and tell her the plan. Good thing she didn't, Sabrina would've told Chloe and Chloe would've told everyone in Paris.
Mari: I may not be Ladybug but I want to help Ladybug and Cat Noir sometimes. And the fact that a supervillain has the hots for me puts me in a great position to help them.
Sabrina: You are so brave Marinette! Chloe wouldn't have done what you're doing.
Mari finishes her help plea to Ladybug and Cat Noir on the Ladyblog and turns back to Sabrina.
Mari: Speaking of Chloe, I want to talk to you about that. Chloe doesn't treat you like an equal as she should. And the fact that she has to bribe you to stay as her quote on quote friend shows how toxic the friendship is.
Meanwhile at the Grand Paris.
Chloe's phone rings as she waits on Cat Noir working on Chloe's presentation. Adrien sighs, there are better things he has to do like working on his presentation with Nino and Alya. Chloe snorts.
Cat Noir: What's so funny?
Chloe: Maritrash asked for help on the ladyblog.
Cat Noir takes Chloe's phone and reads the message.
Chloe: Hey! Give me back my phone! You're a hero!
Cat Noir: You're out of danger, uh, so I'll see ya! Later! (jumps away)
Chloé: Later?! What about my presentation?! Ughhhh!
Cat Noir jumps on a rooftop and starts to call Ladybug.
Meanwhile in Mari's room, Marinette and Sabrina are working on the project when a weird buzzing is heard from Mari's bag.
Mari: It's probably Alya calling me. I'll just tell her I'm working on our homework.
She opens her bag to see Tikki vibrating. Shoot, Cat Noir saw the message and is trying to call her. She liked the cat, but right now is not the right time.
Mari: Excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back.
Mari rushes off to her bathroom.
Mari: Tikki, we got to transform for a small bit. Tikki, spots on.
Ladybug: Hey Cat.
Cat Noir: About time you picked up milady. Did you see the newest post on the Ladyblog?
Ladybug: Yes I did, unfortunately I can't make it, I have a secret mission. I hope that's okay with you.
Cat Noir: You can count on me Bugaboo.
Ladybug hangs up and detransforms.
Marinette: Let's get back before Sabrina worries about me.
Marinette runs up to her room and closes the trapdoor.
Sabrina: We're almost done with part one.
Marinette goes to sit down with Sabrina until she sees a black leather clothed hero looking at Mari's window with agape mouth.
Cat Noir: Is it alright to come in?
Mari: Uh, y-yeah.
Marinette is weirded out, this is the first time she is seeing her partner when she isn't transformed. She better make a good second first impression.
Cat Noir lands in Marinette's room, looking around. He sees many pictures of him. Everyone is dazed. Mari, because the situation is strange, Cat Noir because of the photos and Sabrina because of Cat Noir's presence. Sabrina was the first one to break the silence.
Sabrina: O...m…g. Cat Noir is here Marinette, in your room!
Mari: Yeah, super awesome.
Cat Noir: Anyway, I got your message. Unfortunately, Ladybug can't make it. She has a top secret mission.
Sabrina: Uh, Cat Noir if it's Alright, may I have a selfie with you?
Cat Noir: Why not?
Cat Noir and Sabrina pose for a selfie. It ends up looking great.
Cat Noir: Anyway, I am here to talk about plans for the supervillain.
Sabrina: Uh, should I leave? I feel like I am intruding.
Cat Noir nods
Cat Noir: The more civilians involved, the more dangerous it'll be.
Sabrina: Hey Mari, with your permission, can I tell people at school how brave you are at doing this?
Mari: Uuhhhh. Why not?
Sabrina: Alright! See you tomorrow bestie!
The plan was almost successful. They were trapped, but thanks to Mari's quick thinking they escaped and Ladybug showed up at the end to deal with the akuma. The day after at school, everyone was congratulating Marinette for her bravery. That was except for two people: Chloe and Sabrina who were fighting.
Chloe: How dare you sing praises of Dupain-Cheng after one afternoon with her!.
Sabrina: She willingly put herself on the line to help Cat Noir with the villain. You would never do that! You only care about yourself and pleasing Adrien. Oh yeah! I also won the bet! Mari loves Adrien.
Chloe whitened at that.
Chloe: Show me some evidence.
Sabrina pulled up the selfie she took of her and Cat Noir. The selfie has photos of Adrien around Mari's room.
Chloe: That mangy alley cat ditched me for Dupain-Cheng?! Next time I see that cat, I will ruin his life.
Sabrina slapped Chloe.
Chloe: How dare you!
Sabrina: You deserve much more than that, but I won't be the one to give it to you.
Sabrina storms off and meets up with Marinette who is talking with Adrien.
Adrien: I heard about your adventures with Cat Noir yesterday. Were you scared?
Sabrina moved out of their sight. This was a private conversation, but she was curious nonetheless.
Marinette: Me, scared? Pfft, it was a dream. I mean, you're a dream. I mean, in your dreams! Huh? Oh, this is a nightmare…
Adrien: Okay... So, what do you think about Cat Noir? Was he awesome?
Marinette: I mean, sure! Yeah, but not as awesome as you, of course. Because, who could be? You're the most awesome of awesome.
Adrien: So, that's a yes? (the bell rings, and he pats Marinette on the shoulder. Marinette watches Adrien walk out she puts her hands onto her chest, she feels her heart skip a beat as Tikki came out)
Tikki: You do realize you just blabbered on to Adrien about how you think he's awesome, don't you?
Sabrina was confused. Only Marinette and Adrien were there. Who is this new voice?
Marinette: He touched my shoulder... I'll never wash my jacket again!
Tikki: Girl, you have got to get better control of your emotions.
Sabrina peered from the lockers seeing a floating red creature.
Sabrina: uh, what's that?
Tikki had to move, but she was frozen in fear. They were caught.
Meanwhile with Adrien
Adrien goes to the bathroom to… actually go to the bathroom. Plagg, not knowing bathroom etiquette flew out of Adrien's bag.
Plagg: So, was I right, or was I right?
Adrien: Plagg! Don't you realize I'm peeing?
Plagg: You and I both know I am not fancy.
Adrien rolls his eyes and sighs. After peeing he zips up his fly.
Adrien: Yes, you were right. Marinette likes me, as in, like likes me. Well, I better come up with a way to turn her down.
Plagg: Why turn her down? Ladybug doesn't return your feelings, you heard so when she figured you out from your copycat.
Adrien: The heart wants what the heart wants Plagg, you can't change that.
Back to Marinette and Sabrina
Marinette: Uh, this… is a…. hologram.
Sabrina: That's so cool! Can you make it do a dance?
Mari mimics pressing a button, but Tikki doesn't follow along.
Tikki: I think we're caught Mari, we gotta tell the truth.
Marinette: Ugh… fine.
The bell rings
Marinette: I'll tell you after school.
The class atmosphere was weird, Adrien and Mari seemed on edge while Sabrina and Chloe were mad at eachother.
Sabrina: Ms. Bustier! Can I be seated somewhere else? Chloe is sucking up all the air because she's so selfish.
Bustier: Okay, Nathaniel. Is it okay that Sabrina sits with you?
Nathaniel: That's okay with me.
Sabrina gets up and gladly sits next to Nathaniel. The class except Mari and Adrien are shocked at Sabrina's sudden hatred towards Chloe.
Nathaniel: *whispers* If it's okay to ask, why do you have a sudden hatred towards Chloe?
Sabrina: *whispers* Marinette inspired me to stand up for myself, Chloe was mad, then I got mad.
Nathaniel just happily nodded. Marinette was so amazing, Chloe now had no one to be used as an underling. Chloe was knocked down a peg. Hopefully she sees the error of her ways, but that wouldn't happen in a million years.
After school
Marinette brought Sabrina home with her. It was fine since they still had a project to work on. The first thing she did though was reveal her identity.
Marinette: Sabrina, what I was hiding was that…
Tikki flew out of her purse.
Marinette: This is Tikki, my Kwami. She… gives me superpowers.
Sabrina was amazed
Sabrina: Superpowers?! Like Ladybug?
Marinette: Exactly. I… I am Ladybug.
Sabrina: NO way! Can I see you transform?
Marinette: Sure. Tikki, spots on!
Unfortunately, Cat Noir went to her home to see how she portrays her crush towards him. He had heard the transformation words, and looked through her window. His lady was Marinette! He was so happy! But one thing was on his mind, Sabrina is there, why is she transforming in front of her?
Cat Noir came through the trapdoor to Mari's bed and simply said.
Cat Noir: Marinette? You're Ladybug?!
Sabrina was so starstruck, she fainted.
Ladybug: Uh, hi Cat Noir.
She said sheepishly
