"Todo! Come over here and clean up this mess," Bane said, looking down at the most recent kill he'd made. He sighed and fingered the toothpick sticking out of his mouth.
"Todo!" He said again, growling. "Hurry up or the stench will get into the ship!"
The droid flew past on his boosters, carrying the necessary supplies. "Mister Bane, I am not a janitorial droid, I am a-"
"Yes yes, you're a Techno Service droid, I get it! Just clean up this mess or I'll dismantle you for parts!"
Todo stared at the bounty hunter and sighed electronically. "Oh, why do I even bother with you? You're too stubborn, Mister Bane."
He started wiping up the blood as Bane grabbed the clone's corpses and dragged them to the hatch.
"Unbelievable," Todo muttered to himself, cleaning up the first blood puddle and moving to the next.
The human girl's words still stuck with him, rattling around in his metal brain:
"I am his trusted confidant," he'd said, referring to Bane. "We are a team."
"Really?" She'd countered, sounding skeptical, "He's not very nice to you."
Todo sighed, his wiping arm stiffening in frustration. She was right, he could do more than clean up after Bane's messes.
He dropped the cloth, the fabric now soaked with the blood of the enemy, and activated his boosters, going in search of his owner.
He found Bane just finishing up disposing of the last clone, throwing the corpse down to the ground a good fifty feet below. The ship hovered over the landing pad, ready to take off whenever Bane gave the order.
Todo braced himself. Now or never. "Mister Bane, I must speak with you about your-"
"Did you finish cleaning up the mess?" Bane interrupted, turning to gaze at him with a cold and uncaring expression. "I would like to get going soon, I have a busy schedule today."
"Yes, I have done as you requested, but I must speak to you about-" Todo tried again, but was again unsuccessful.
"Great," Bane said, turning and walking back towards the cockpit. "I will put in the coordinates for our next destination, and you can check for any damages to the interior compartments."
Todo sighed again, feeling disappointed with himself. "Yes, Mister Bane," he said, floating away on his boosters towards the back of the ship.
Next time he would get Bane to listen to him, he thought to himself.
