Also before I forget once again. The picture is the drawling I did for her Tri-Torus symbol. It was cut a bit on the sides which bites. www . deviantart tinkerhitter / art / Empress-861506274 (without space) This is the full picture. Finally after years I was able to get it up.
Being as the war raged with little time between interruption of battles, the time of goodbyes and farewells were rushed by pilots as they made sure those they were to carry got into the ship before they took off in those lulled period. The group that had come with First Aid to see him off was little. Only those that he was true friends with over his long life came. Remedy, Nebula, and Siren were among those that were longtime friends with Wheeljack only being there at his request. The medic worried a little for the vixen who would be alone in the shared apartment. The tri-colored mech had been the vixen's friend for nearly as long as he had been hers and so it was only right that he would ask the mech to look after her.
"Take care of yourself mech." Nebula stated laying a servo midway on the upper part of his arm. She gave him a soft smile. "You won't have Siren with you to look after your aft."
Remedy vented a snort with arms crossed. "Delphi will be good for him. It's safe even for him, that he won't need Siren around and we all know she'd get too bored." Knowing he was saying it in a playful way Siren moved to bump her shoulder into the mech lightly, with a huffy grumble, but still was able to move Remedy some from the force. She gave the mech an optic roll that he only gave a shrug as an answer.
First Aid smiled sadly from under the face plate. "I can handle myself just fine thank you. Siren is not my bodyguard."
"Sure, sure, whatever you tell yourself into recharge." Remedy grinned earning a chuckle from Nebula as the femme looked from First Aid to Remedy and Siren, before looking back at the mech she stood next to. "We'll miss you." She stated gently and truthfully.
"I'll miss you all as well." He replied taking hold of the femme's servo then using his other servo to pat gently at the topside. He glanced to Siren with humor coloring his tone. "Be good okay? Make sure you don't go eating every oil cake that comes into your sight. You're heavy enough already."
Siren snorted in astonishment at his declaration before narrowing her optics in a promise that she would get him back in return. A light smack was heard. "First Aid! You never say things like that to a femme. That was really rudeā¦" At this Nebula shifted to look at Siren a grin fully on her lips. "But you have to admit, he is right. Have you gained weight since last we were together?"
Siren growl lightly in answer as optics brightened some at the tease. Finials perks suddenly as all of the bots glanced back to the opening of the ship having heard last calls to board. "Well, this is me." First Aid then turned to give Remedy a nod as both mechs took ahold of each forearms in farewell. He moved to quickly pull the smaller femme into his arms to hug then let go within the kilk.
Nebula gave a sputter as blue tented the plating around her face as First Aid moved to give a hug to Siren. "Be good, got it? Don't go seeking trouble or find yourself back in the med bay." Siren grunted at that bit. "I don't think Ratchet could handle you being in their so soon after recovery." He pulled back enough to look the vixen in her optic. "Take care. Ill be back before you know it."
Siren felt sadness fill her spark as memories from what seemed ages past fluttered around her processor. It had been vorns since she last had thoughts of her previous life that it seemed so distant. Knowledge of before had become broken in the vorns she lived that it was fragmented and little bits of it have been lost. What bits she could remember was that First Aid would not return for a long period of time. A small moan exited her as she pushed her snout into the mechs neck cables and nuzzled some. Only a few kliks passed before she moved back her dull colored optics tuned to the mech as he moved backwards a few steps.
First Aid gave a wave his visor moving from Siren's sad filled optics to the mech that stood a few paces back from the group giving them privacy. When his visor lifted to the tri-colored mech he gave a small nod. "May I speak with you, Wheeljack, before I have to leave?" The three bots in between turned to look behind as the mech in question moved forward. Taking the suitable hint the small groups gave one last farewell as they moved aside.
"Yes First Aid?" the mech asked the fins showing a little confusion by the why they flashed in a soft blue of his usual color.
"I know I already asked this, but please keep an optic on Siren. Unlike most, she only has a few bots that truly know her for her. I'm going to worry for her while I'm gone." He stated as his optics glanced to the vixen from under the visor. "She doesn't show it as it is hard for her to be able too with her physical limitations, but she gets hurt easily in her spark for others. As a medic she has periods where it become overwhelming for her as she loses bots over and over to this forsaken war. I am usually there when it becomes too much for her and she has done the same for me in my times of need. So, I asked that you keep a good optic on her, okay? She'll need somebot."
Wheeljack nodded in understanding and agreement to the weight being passed to him. "I promise on Primus that I will be there and keep watch over her. She a dear friend to me as well. "She's a good medic First Aid. Fixed me more than I can count by now. It's only fair I repay her back for all of the help she's given me in the vorns also."
First Aid moved a servo to pat the tri-colored mech on the shoulder in farewell and agreement. "I still don't like you some." He stated a little teasingly without bite both thinking back during the first few vorns after Wheeljack met Siren. "But I appreciate you doing this for me."
"It is of no matter. I would have done so even if you didn't ask me." First Aid nodded as he turned to the ship to board. The three moved back over to Wheeljack as they stayed to watch the ship take off from a safe distance. Siren never took her optics off even when she heard Remedy and Nebula give their own goodbyes to leave needing to get back to what shift they had. Wheeljack stood by her side as the vixen kept looking up to the dark sky of space that stretched above even when the ship turned to a spec of a dot to finally becoming lost in the numerus clusters of dots.
It was nearly another joor before she moved a cable by lowering her helm. The glow of her optics dim but she didn't move any further. Taking this as his que Wheeljack gently laid a servo just a little before the neck plating the led into the shoulder plating. Finials swiveled and plating jerked at the sudden touch as she slowly turned to look at him.
A few soft flashes of blue were seen as he spoke tenderly. "Would you like me to walk with you home?"
Siren gave a nodded turning with the mech as they left the area. She felt like a small part of her was muted. Even when they were separated with shifts on the frontline and worry filled her during those cycles she knew after a short time he would be back. This time he wouldn't be back for a very long time. She would miss her best friend dearly.
The walk remained quiet, neither wanting to break the silence. It was only broken once the two stopped just before the doors into the building stood in front of them. Wheeljack turned to the vixen. "Will you be okay?" he asked taking another look at her in the optics as she turned her helm towards him. The dim light brighten a few shades as they conveyed acknowledgement to his concern showing she would be okay. Just like with First Aid, Wheeljack was able to pick up the small things in her features to glean a bit of understanding to her non-vocal ways over the vorns.
As Siren moved to enter he stopped her with a soft call. "Just know that you can come over to my unit any time you need another bot to be around with." Siren tilted her helm the glow of her optics and the twitch of the plating around her helm showed her accepted the invite. "My door will always be open to you. You have a good recharge okay?"
She gave a nod before turning to enter the building to make her way up the floors to the apartment. Taking a few steps into the center she stopped short. Pads owned by First Aid still stayed up on the shelf when she first started glossing over them. The doorway into his berthroom was open and dark along with her own berthroom. The desk they shared at times was clean of the times they left bits of research or other objects of fancy that would always expand on what they already knew as medics.
Moving to her berthroom Siren slowly made her way to lay down. It was quiet to her now. No shifting of metal the announced another bot fidgeting in recharge next to hers. No mech barging in or moving about to be ready for a shift during times when they both held opposite ones. No soft sound of a spark barely heard at all times by her finials that could pick it up no matter who the bot was.
It pounded on her. This void that seemed to grow bigger the longer she remained. She glanced around finding as she shifted around the berth that she just couldn't find recharge. It gnawed at her till she jumped off the berth to pace around. She did this until she came to a decision. She quickly moved her long limbed pedes as they ate up the ground dodging bots that moved into her path easily from vorns honed to dodge laser shots.
She didn't stop moving until she reached her destination. Standing at the door that lead to the mech that had given her a way out of being alone and she was going to take that offer up. The door slide open showing Wheeljack standing with his fins giving soft flashes in greeting as he moved aside to allow her in.
Like most other times she visited the mech in his home space it was only a bit messy. Most of the mess was subjected to the desk that basically three pushed together full of pads, blueprints, and other bits of things he left there. When not in his other space for testing his prone-to-blow-up items she could find the mech here after having gained access to the address. And no, it was not from his medical records that filled several cabinets worth of data, but from the mech himself as he forgot to even let his vixen friend know that information until she asked where he lived.
"You came just in time. I was almost in recharge before the chime went off." He stated letting her know he waited up for the vixen to make up her processor. "Take your usual spot." He jabbed a digit to the spare room that remained spotless miraculously than the rest of the unit. Though, she knew he kept his berthroom cleaned up also. "Have a good recharge." He bid as he went to do so himself.
She followed suit but again found no way into recharge. Several times she shifted in hope that it would help but found it didn't. It didn't feel like a void as her home had been, but it still held onto her. A quiet groan filtered into her finials had them perked. "Why don't you come in and lay next to me. I can hear you rustling all over." The sleepy voice came from Wheeljack along with the shuffle of the mech as he made room.
Siren stayed quiet thinking it over until he once again voiced it sleepily and soothing. "It will help Siren." With a silent huff she got up to walk to the room the mech was in. Even with the size of the berth and the bit of room Wheeljack made in moving onto his side it would be a little limited in room. Not giving anymore thought she worked her way onto her side tucking in her pedes a little with her helm stretched out nearly parallel with the mech's own helm.
It helped some that his back was face her but plating from both bots were pressed together. Warmth from the mech slowly seeped into her as her own plating gradually relaxed at the simple touch. Being this close the mech she could hear his spark hum a slow melody that calmed her into a recharge.
With quiet movement Wheeljack carefully half turned to glance back at the vixen to find she was resting. Seeing she was he turned back happy to have helped his friend just a little for the cycle. Even though his audial weren't as strong as hers to hear the hum of a spark her own warmth worked its way over him to lull him to rest.

Eunice Pacheco - I know it has been a while but this story is a favorite of mine that I don't think I would be able to part with. I end up coming back once the muse returns for it or life slows enough that I can focus back on this story. I am really glad that this helps with any inspiration. I honestly never thought it would as it was more of a kind of 'What if' thing.
