Hello dear readers! As I've stated in the previous chapter, this is the final chapter. However I should warn you this one will be sad, tragic, and dare I say it, triggering. However I do encourage you to read the end part of the chapter as I have a surprise for you all.
Also on a bit of a side note, I started a new story called "The Heart". I made it as an interactive game for everyone in the Jelsa Community. It's made as a Pass the Story game as a way to make it fun. But as time goes by I realize it wasn't going to work out, so I've decided to discontinue it and just focus on my solo writing instead. Still it was a good try at something new.
So without further ado let's end these Bizarre tales. Enjoy! :)
Chapter 31: Bitter Ends
Everyone was struck in shock after what the Time Stone had shown them. They had just witnessed Jonen's past in such a small time span and yet they now know everything about him. Jonen continued to stare back at everyone in his usual cold yet wounded expression. Reliving his past by show and tell wasn't what he wanted to experience again, but he had to in order to get his story across.
"And now you know." Jonen said.
"I…" Elsa said, struggling to find the right words to say.
"Do you understand now? Your marriage was a mistake. It never should have happened. It only led to disaster." Jonen said in a hurt and bitter tone.
"But why? Why would you think our love is a mistake?" Elsa said, finally finding the words.
"Were you not paying attention? You saw for yourself! You love eventually fades away and dies!" Jonen said.
"But it doesn't! You showed us staying together and looking for you! Our love clearly survived!" Jack spoke too.
"But how long? All you two did in my time was cling on a dying candle that you repeatedly relit over and over again long past it's expiration!" Jonen said. "I viewed this scenario again and again on multiple timelines! Each one ending is more tragic than the last!"
"You don't know that!" North bellowed in a desperate plea. "Love is transcendent!"
"He's right, Jonen! If these two are destined to be together then that's what they fated to be!" Ombric said.
"Fated to be!? Are you kidding me!?" Jonen growled. "So you're telling me that they are destined to be together for eternity!? Does that include fighting 24/7, insulting, hurting, and attacking each other!? This isn't a sitcom!"
"I know your pain! But it isn't that simple!"
"Of course not! Because no one tries!" Jonen barked. "Everyone always makes this complicated instead of complications coming naturally!"
He paused as everyone still looked on with both shack and saddened expressions.
"But do you know the REAL cause of all of this pain? All the tragedies, the sadness, the anger, and the hate?" Jonen said. "It's me."
Everyone gaped in disbelieving shock and this proclamation.
"It's. Me." Jonen repeated. "I was the bane in everyone's lives. I just didn't see it until it was too late."
"N-No! It's not true." Elsa said.
"It is." Jonen said. "But I have a chance to fix it. Changing the past, repairs the future."
"No it doesn't! Only repairing the future forward can happen!" Ombric said.
"And how do YOU know!?" Jonen barked. "You never even tried it!"
Ombric was once again left in silence. He couldn't find the right words to respond.
"I've had enough of it all. I can't bear to see my parents suffer any longer. The only way for them to gain happiness is to remain separate. Never to interact with each other." Jonen said.
He slowly walked towards his future parents as they encased in his ice. They stared at him with worried looks of fear on their faces, he stared back at them with the same cold and hurt expression on his. Then another unexpected thing happened. He enveloped them in his arms in a warm loving embrace.
"I'm sorry. But I have to do this. It's the only way to ensure your happiness." Jonen said.
Both Jack and Elsa simultaneously felt the love and affection their future son displayed towards them as well as the same affection to him. A type of early parental affection. But they also had the fear of what will happen next running through their minds. Soon their fears will reveal themselves in full as he let go and stared at them in their eyes. Then he extended both of his index fingers and pressed them onto their foreheads. He was using a Gentle Fist technique.
"I'm pressing a vital point in your brains. You will forget each other." Jonen said.
Both were shocked and horrified.
"N-No! Jonen please! Don't do this!" Elsa begged.
"We can fix this!" Jack said.
"No." Jonen said simply.
But before they could protest further the two winter spirits slowly fell unconscious. The rest of the Guardians were also shocked and horrified by this transpiring turn of events.
"W-What did you do to them!?" Bunny spluttered.
"I fixed them. And soon you will be too." Jonen said in his serious tone.
Jonen then used his Gentle Fist on his legs to make him much faster. In a blink of an eye he pressed his index fingers on all the Guardians foreheads, aiming to lock out their memories. One by one they all fainted. Jonen then went over to the machine and set the Chrono Coordinates once more to the Guardians' time. Using powers he melted the ice and set free everyone. Pulling a lever he increased the gravity on the future portal and had all the Guardians swept up into the vortex back to their future time. Once they went through, Jonen switched off the portal and quickly opened another one in the present, this time it was opening one to the Enchanted Forest. He once again increased the gravity and had Elsa, Nokk, Bruni, and Gale all swept up into the vortex. Once through, Jonen turned off the machine.
After that, in that very instant Jonen felt strange. It was a type of pain that felt nauseating but deathly too. Jonen never felt this type of pain before. But he knew what it was. He was fading from existence. The last bit of his strength left him as he slowly collapsed onto the floor. Leaning against the panel and saw the whole body light up into a white color. He knew he was being erased from existence. He knew this was the end.
"So this is what it feels like." Jonen murmured. "It feels… nice…"
"No! NO! NOT LIKE THIS!" The demonic voice roared in rage. "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DIE AT MY HANDS! I'M THE ONE WHO'S SUPPOSED TO KILL YOU!"
"Hmph! Tough luck. I told you that I would be the one to finish it." Jonen chuckled in a dying gasp.
"NO! I REFUSE FOR THIS TO END LIKE THIS! I WILL NOT DIE ALONG WITH YOU! I WILL NOT LET MY REVENGE GO UNRESOLVED! I REFUSE!"
But Jonen just smiled in satisfaction.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-!"
But the demonic voice in Jonen's head was cut off. Jonen smiled once last time and closed his eyes, embracing his demise, as his whole body faded onto nothing. Jonen was gone. Jonen no longer exists.
Elsa moaned in dreariness as her eyes flickered open. She yawned widely and stretched long as found herself lying under a tree in the grass field. She turned and saw Nokk, Bruni, and Gale also waking up as she was.
"Oh my." Elsa said. "We must have fallen asleep. Not surprising as it is a beautiful day."
Elsa smiled as her friends got up to socialize, play, and run wild, and explore. Elsa too also stood up and walked around for a bit. But what she didn't know or noticed in the sky was a ripple. It was there, but only for a split second. It was the only time that ripple was there. It of course was a sign that the universe was repaired. The Time Storm was gone.
However that meant everyone who knew and interacted with Jonen, Jack, and the other Guardians in this time had forgotten them. This was a phenomenon called Quantum Causality. Affecting the past also affected the future. Jonen had succeeded in changing history. His future mother, now non-future mother, doesn't remember the events that happened.
No one does.
Back in the Present in San Fransokyo, Hiro was passing back and forth in an anxious fit. When the Guardians came to Hiro's location half an hour later, they were surprised that he and the others could see them. Hiro explained what had happened to Jack, much to Bunny's amusement. Which earned him the ire of Tooth. North made the bold decision to jump in the time machine and save Jack. Hiro, though hesitant and reluctant, decided to turn on the time machine and allow the Guardians through. It has been 5 minutes and Hiro was worried.
"Hiro, will you stop passing! You're getting US worked up!" Gogo said.
"I can't! I can't stop thinking that I might have sent my best friend and the Guardians to their doom!" Hiro exclaimed.
"We know, Hiro. And we're worried too." Wasabi said.
"But you need to calm down." Honey Lemon.
"It's only been 5 minutes." Gogo said.
"But 5 minutes here could be 5 years over there! Time travel is hyperbolic!" Hiro exclaimed.
"BUT aren't they, like immortal?" Fred said. "Maybe they're back in the present. They just took the long way back."
"Not helping doofus!" Gogo growled.
"The theory of this probability still exists." Baymax said.
"Don't encourage him, Baymax!"
But before anyone else could say anything else. They felt a tiny breeze in the air and then they saw a small spark of electrical green energy. Then suddenly a portal forms. This takes everyone off guard. Suddenly all five of the Guardians fall through the portal onto the floor. After that the portal closed and was gone.
"What the-!? Jack! Guys!" Hiro spluttered.
"What was that!?" Wasabi exclaimed.
"That was a temporal anomaly. A tear in the time and space continuum." Baymax said.
"Where did it come from!?" Fred said.
"Who cares! We need to tend to these guys first!" Gogo said.
They fortunately didn't have to do much as the Guardians began stirring from their unconsciousness.
"What the bloody hell happened?" Bunny groaned.
"Is everyone alright?" North asked.
"I think that's a question we should be asking you." Gogo said.
"My wings feel heavy. But other than that I'm okay." Tooth said.
Sandy's dream sand gestured his answer as the same too.
"What happened?" Jack said.
"You're back!" Hiro said with relief.
"Back?" Jack said in confusion. But then he remembered. "Oh! Right! We were trapped in the past!"
Jack was indeed relieved. But then he went back to confusion.
"But… wait. How did we get back?" He asked.
"Wait. You mean you don't know?" Hiro asked.
Jack thought good and hard for a moment.
"Nope. Nothing. Just one big blur." Jack said. "How did we get back?"
"Through a temporal anomaly." Baymax said.
"English?" Bunny said.
"A time portal." Gogo said.
"Time portal?" Tooth said.
"Oh! I know! Ombric must have sensed our distress and sent it to us!" North deduced. "I must thank him once I see him!"
"I guess it really doesn't matter. You guys are back!" Hiro said happily.
Everyone was celebrating this joyous event of the return of the Guardians. Although, while the Guardians and the Big Hero 6 celebrated, Jack couldn't help but feel like he was forgetting something. But he thought nothing of it and just simply shrugged it off.
But he had know idea how relevant it was.
From the two different times, Elsa from the past and Jack from the future, everything was back to normal. Or at least in a sense. Elsa continued to enjoy her life in the enchanted forest as the fifth Spirit of Winter, and Jack enjoyed his job as the Guardian of Fun. Each one brings joy to all the people of the world. Although there was that little voice in the wind, silent yet clear. The voice of that non-existent man whose voice is now the last thing that remains and now fades into nothingness.
"Mom. Dad. I can never apologize enough for the things that I have done. I can only hope that with my final act is my redemption to you. You two are better off apart rather than being together. Your happiness is all I ever wanted. I know you will be happier now than you were. I love you guys. Goodbye."
In Burgess, Jack played with Jamie and his friends in various games of hide and seek, tag, and of course snowball fights, even though it was Spring. Their laughter was like a musical crescendo. However unbeknownst to them a shadow with glowing golden eyes was lurking nearby in the underbrush of the forest. It was a Nightmare made of Dark Dream Sand. It was spying on the playful lot. Soon the Dark Nightmare Stallion quickly galloped away and into the darkness of the forest. There is saw a broken wooden bed where a hole in the ground is seen through the frame. The Nightmare leaped into the hole and disappeared into the darkness.
The creature then glided through the air in a massive underground lair. Only one entity lives in this lair and could command Nightmare Sand. There, standing before a dark globe full of lights was a tall, lithe and dark man, with silver-golden yellow eyes resembling an eclipse, dull pale-gray skin and glossy black hair that is styled to come out as slick, sharp spikes from the back of his head. Wearing a long, black robe with a v-neck line and shadows running down his arms, obscuring his body like a shadow. And black trousers and black footwear underneath the robe.
This is Pitch Black. The Nightmare King and the Bogeyman.
The Nightmare Stallion landed right behind him and approached it's master cautiously.
"Speak." He commanded in a calm yet demanding manner.
The Nightmare motions it's mouth in a speaking gesture in Pitch's ear. He then smiles with glee at whatever his servant just spoke.
"Good. It is almost time." Pitch said. "Soon I will have my revenge."
He then chuckled and cackled in a sinister glee. Whatever it was he was planning certainly wasn't good. But then again, what exactly is good when the Bogeyman is involved?
THE END OF PART 1
TO BE CONTINUED IN PART 2
That's right people. I plan on making a whole series on this. The story is over but saga continues.
I want to thank you all for reading this story and for giving me your reviews and feed back. And also I want to apologize if some parts seemed rushed or if certain chapters took too long to make. Never the less. Thank you very much for reading this bizzare story idea of mine.
Until next time. See ya! :)
