Chapter 13: What Are Friends For?

It was Friday, November 9th at 2:30 pm, at Valerie's house as Valerie was sitting in her bedroom. Today was the day her grounding for harassing Kim and Ron has ended and she would now be able to help carry out the part of Bonnie's take-over-the-world plan that involves distracting Team Possible. But first, she needed to make sure no one was home.
"Val?" Came a female voice from outside.
"Yes, Mom?" Valerie answered.
"I'm going grocery shopping," Valerie's mother announced. "Also, your father and brother have to work late at the office."
"Ok," Valerie said with a nod.
Just as the footsteps got quieter and quieter, followed by the sound of the front door opening and closing, Valerie got onto her computer.
Soon after getting onto her computer, Valerie heard the phone to the left of her computer ring.
"Hello?" She answered it.
"Valerie?" Came a helium voice on the other end. "I'm sorry I'm a little late calling."
Valerie giggled, "Who is this?"
"I don't wanna reveal my real name and voice on an open line," The voice replied. "Have you contacted your friends to keep Team Possible distracted yet?"
Valerie soon realized, "B…"
"Don't mention my name!" Bonnie ordered. She then asked, again. "Have you contacted your friends yet?"
"I was just about too," Valerie replied, now being careful not to mention Bonnie's name. "I needed to make sure both my parents and brother weren't home. How's the army coming along?"
Bonnie signed, "Team Possible was about to come upon my army and I was forced to destroy it in order to keep my tracks covered. But a new army will be rolling out soon enough, if Team Possible can be distracted of course."
"Don't worry," Valerie assured. "I'll contact my friends at HRU and have them keep K and her posse at bay to ensure there are no intrusions on your plans."
"Do it!" Bonnie ordered.
"I will," Valerie said with a nod. "Bye."
She then hung up the phone, and went on to contact all her friends at Hudson River who didn't like Kim and Ron.
Valerie's mother walked away from Valerie's room, walked out the front door to the house, and closed it behind her.
Suddenly...
"Forgot my sunglasses," She thought.
She then re-entered the house just as the phone rang once.
"Hello?" Came Valerie's voice from her bedroom. "Who is this?"
"I wonder," Valerie's mother thought before quietly making her way to a phone, picking it up, covering the microphone, and listening to the conversation.
"B..." Valerie said before being interrupted.
"Don't mention my name!" A helium voice then came. "Have you contacted your friends yet?"
"I was just about too," Valerie said. "I needed to make sure both my parents and brother weren't home. How's the army coming along?"
The mysterious caller signed, "Team Possible was about to come upon my army and I was forced to destroy it in order to keep my tracks covered. But a new army will be rolling out soon enough, if Team Possible can be distracted of course."
"Don't worry," Valerie assured. "I'll contact my friends at HRU and have them keep K and her posse at bay to ensure there are no intrusions on your plans."
"Do it!" The caller ordered.
"I will," Valerie said with a nod. "Bye."
Valerie's mother quietly hung up the phone and thought, "I can't believe it!"
She then walked over to the front door, made her way out of the house, pulled out her cellphone, and dialed some numbers before holding the phone up to her ear.
"Hello this is, Wade Load, what's the sitch?" Wade on the other end answered.
"Wade, this is Valerie Piper's mother, Violet, you're not gonna believe this!" Violet announced.
It was 2:30 pm as Kim and Ron were sitting on a bench on campus and kissing each other.
"This. Is. Bad. I. Cal," Ron uttered in between kisses.
"I. Enjoy. This," Kim uttered in between kisses.
Suddenly, a thought struck Ron before he pulled away.
"Ronnie, what's wrong?" Kim asked with a puppy-dog pout.
"I forgot to tell you something," Ron replied.
"But I want your Ronshine Ronnie!" Kim said in a husky voice. "And I want it now!"
"Remember those times we were caught kissing on video?" Ron asked. "We don't want that to happen, again."
"That won't happen, again," Kim assured. "Alex's father was arrested for stalking us. His friends were later caught as well. Now, be a good husband and give me some more Ronshine."
Ron cupped Kim's face with his hands, "Of course, KP."
Kim and Ron then smashed their mouths together in a long passionate kiss.
They soon broke the kiss before they both gasped for air.
"Can't our kisses last an eternity?" Kim asked with a puppy-dog pout.
"This tanks," Ron pouted.
"Hey guys," Came Hope's voice.
"What up?" Came Marty's voice.
"Ah!" Kim and Ron gasped before they noticed Hope and Marty.
"We're sorry, we didn't mean to scare you," Hope apologized.
"That's alright," Kim assured. She then noticed Marty. "Hey, Marty."
"Hey," Marty waved.
"Hey, dude," Ron waved back. He then asked. "How are things going between you and Hope?"
Both Hope and Marty smiled.
"They've been great!" Marty replied, happily.
"Marty is the best boyfriend I've ever had!" Hope added, happily. "Ever since our first date, we've been going out whenever we got the chance to."
"And we've been entertaining each other with our musical talents as well," Marty added.
"I think it's really sweet that you two are a happy couple," Kim commented.
"And that you two entertain each other," Ron added.
"Marty's really great with the tuba and guitar," Hope commented.
"Which are my favorite musical instruments," Marty added. He then commented. "And Hope is really great at tap dancing. In fact, last night, she taught me how to tap dance and I have to admit, it's really fun. I've never had a particular favorite dance, until last night."
Beep Beep Beep Beep
"What's the sitch, Wade?" Kim answered her Kimmunicator.
"Kim, I just got word from Global Justice," Wade announced. He soon noticed Marty and asked him. "Who are you?"
"Wade, this is my new boyfriend, Marty McDonald," Hope introduced.
"Hey, Wade," Marty spoke up with a wave. "It's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too," Wade commented. He then spoke to Kim. "Anyway, Kim, remember those attacks on the factories?"
"Yeah," Kim said with a nod.
"Well, when GJ combed the wreckage of the lair of the mysterious villain that was destroyed, they found remnants off what appeared to have been the conveyer belt, central control unit, and engine from the factories that were attacked," Wade said.
Kim, Ron, Hope, and Marty became confused.
"But, how can all that stuff be at the lair when it was destroyed in their respective factories?" Ron asked.
"I was just about to explain that," Wade replied. He then continued. "GJ also found what looked like one of the weapons that was used during the factory attacks, analyzed it and discovered that it was actually a teleportation gun."
"So, are you telling us the 'factory attacks' were really robberies?" Hope spoke up.
"That's right," Wade answered.
Just then, Wade's cellphone rang.
"Hello this is, Wade Load, what's the sitch?" Wade answered. He then developed a shocked facial expression. "Okay, I'll inform, Team Possible, GJ, and the police. Bye."
"What's wrong?" Kim asked with concern.
Wade put the phone down and said, "Kim, I just got a call from Valerie Piper's mother, Violet."
"What did she call you about?"
"She was eavesdropping on a phone conversation between her daughter and some mysterious caller."
"Mysterious caller?" Kim asked, confused.
"Violet mentioned that the mysterious caller and Valerie were conspiring to take over the world," Wade replied. "The plan was to have Valerie contact her friends at Hudson River and have them keep Team Possible distracted while the mysterious caller would rebuild her army she had to destroy to cover her tracks from you guys."
"So, Valerie is in on this too?" Kim asked in disbelief.
"I'm afraid so," Wade replied. "And there's more."
"More?"
"GJ found the remains of the air defense system that shot you guys down and the technology match those of Project: Shield."
"So it was this mysterious villain that's been behind what's been happening," Kim said.
"And right when we were on to this villain, she destroyed the lair to cover her tracks," Ron added.
"I'll do more digging to find out more," Wade announced. "Wade out."
After the screen went black, Marty looked at his wristwatch and said, "Hey, Hope, we gotta get to our math class in a few minutes."
Hope soon realized, "Oh my gosh! Almost forgot!"
"We'll see you guys later," Kim said with a wave.
"You too," Hope waved before she and Marty ran off.
Later, at 2:40 pm, back at Valerie's house, Valerie finished contacting her friends at Hudson River University who hate Team Possible and telling them to use whatever means to keep them at bay.
"There," She said as she shut off her computer.
Suddenly, the door to Valerie's bedroom opened, revealing her mother with a serious face.
"Mom!" Valerie gasped.
"Valerie Piper, is it true you've been conspiring with a super-villain?" Violet asked.
Valerie's face went pale and asked, "What are you talking about?"
"On my way out, I forgot my sunglasses and I heard you talking on the phone with someone," Violet began. "I've decided to eavesdrop on the conversation, sensing trouble. After you hung up, I informed Wade Load and he informed Team Possible, GJ and the police of what's been happening."
Valerie's mother stepped aside before a policeman walked in and said, "Miss Valerie Piper, you are under arrest for conspiring with a super-villain. You will be coming with us for further questioning and..."
Suddenly, the window of Valerie's bedroom shattered.
The group noticed a cylinder before it released a purple smoke.
Everyone coughed before they started yawning and lose consciousness.
Just then, Bonnie flew in through the window and landed on the bedroom floor.
"I hope she didn't reveal my name to them," Bonnie thought as she noticed a policeman.
She then picked up Valerie and flew out the window.
At that same time, Kim and Ron were walking on campus.
"So, KP, we have a couple hours before we head off to the stadium for the big game," Ron said. "What do you wanna do?"
Kim gave a sultry grin, "I could think of something."
The two teens stopped walking and shared a kiss.
After breaking the kiss…
"Hey, mom. Hey, dad," Came Anna's voice.
Kim and Ron pulled away and noticed Anna and Ellie, both wearing their Henry Hudson Preparatory school uniforms, walk up.
"Hey, Anna. Hey, Ellie," Kim said with a wave.
"Hey, guys," Ron added with a wave. "Whatcha doing here on campus?"
"School got out and I asked Grandma and Grandpa to drop me and Ellie off here so we could say 'hi' to you guys," Anna replied. "Grandma and Grandpa also wanted me to tell you that they have found an apartment to stay in so they wouldn't intrude on your privacy."
"AC, your grandparents are not intruding on anything," Ron assured.
"They are always welcome to stay with us," Kim added.
"True, but they still didn't wanna bother you," Anna said. "They will be staying in the apartment you guys used to live in before moving in to the townhouse. They also took Hana with them as well."
Beep Beep Beep Beep
"Go, Wade," Kim answered her Kimmunicator.
"Kim, something's happened," Wade announced.
"What's the sitch this time?" Kim asked.
"It's about Valerie," Wade announced. "A policeman was about to arrest her when she was suddenly kidnapped."
"Kidnapped?" Kim gasped.
"Okay, what did I miss?" Anna asked.
Kim looked up at Anna, "I'll explain everything to you later." She then looked back down at Wade. "Do you know who would kidnapped Valerie?"
"I'm not sure, Kim," Wade said. "Witnesses said that it happened so fast that no one could get a shot of the kidnapper. Also, and nearby security cameras suddenly cut out while the kidnapping was taking place. I'll do some more digging to find out more. Wade out."
After the screen went black, Anna asked, "So, what did we miss?"
Kim looked at Anna, "Okay, here's the sitch…"
Meanwhile, Bonnie returned to Hench Co. with a still unconscious Valerie in her arms before setting her down in a chair in Hench's unoccupied office.
"Val?" Bonnie asked.
Valerie soon regained consciousness, "Where am I?"
"You're at Hench Co.," Bonnie announced.
Valerie looked up at Bonnie, "Bonnie, is that you?"
Bonnie nodded, "Yes, it's me; your childhood friend and former next-door neighbor."
Valerie got a looked at Bonnie's appearance, "You look… different. Your eyes are red and your covered in some kind of metal armor."
"That's true," Bonnie said with a nod. "Thanks to a special armor and a large amount of electricity I was exposed too, I've become more powerful than anyone could possibly imagine."
"How did you know I was about to be arrested?" Valerie asked.
"I didn't," Bonnie replied. "There's some people I have chosen to help me rule the world. You didn't reveal that I'm still alive to the police, have you?"
Valerie shook her head, "I haven't. But because they know that I contacted my friends at HRU, K and her posse will no doubt catch those I contacted. In other words, the diversion has failed before it has even begun."
Bonnie sighed, "Great! Just great!"
Jack Hench then walked in, "Hey, Queen Bonnie?"
Bonnie and Valerie turned to Hench, "Yes, Hench?"
"I just wanted to inform you that production of your new army has begun," Hench announced. "And suspecting that the diversion you needed Valerie's help with would fail, I had the factory relocated somewhere that no one would think to look."
"Where?" Bonnie asked.
"Beneath the surface on the dark side of the Moon," Hench announced.
Bonnie smirked, "Hmm, that sounds like a very secure location; better than Greenland."
"And it would seem very diabolical to make your plan look like an alien invasion," Valerie speculated.
Bonnie nodded, "I guess it would be." She then asked Valerie. "Will you help me rule the world?"
"Will you help me spring my fiancé from prison?" Valerie asked.
"Fiancé?" Bonnie asked, confused.
"Alex proposed to me over the phone from prison and I accepted," Valerie replied. "We intend to get married after he gets out."
"Of course, I'll help you spring your fiancé," Bonnie happily said. Her face then turned serious. "But first, we just need to get ready for the invasion. Also, I intend to break the Seniors out of prison just before I execute my plan so K and her posse won't be able to find out that I'm still alive until it's too late."
"When do you intend to execute your plan?" Valerie asked.
"As soon as my army is ready," Bonnie replied. "Now, let's get ready for our trip to the Moon."
"My invisible rocket should help us get there without being detected," Hench added.
Valerie sighed, "Okay, but I still get what I want when the invasion commences. Right?"
Bonnie smirked, "Of course. I'll be sure to break Alex out the same time as the Seniors. Hench's intelligence officers say that the Seniors, the Walkers, and the Arnolds are all being held at the same GJ prison facility in the Rocky Mountains."
"Thanks, Bonnie!" Valerie happily said. "I'm so glad you could help me and vice versa!"
"What are friends for?" Bonnie asked.
