Hello, and I guess I am doing another story…let's see how well received this one will be.

Unknown location, time, and date

Vandal Savage was a man that knew many things about the world itself, but not even he knew everything. Which is why after The Brain told him that he was unable to create the hybrid clones because of the fact that the radiation that was in the DNA samples would destroy the samples of the designated heroes and villains that would be used in their creation. Even Luthor's best geneticists weren't able to figure out how to combine the DNA into a hybrid without the DNA being mutated or worse destroyed.

So, Vandal called in a favor from an old friend of his, in order for Project Titanus to get off the ground. His allies questioned this for Vandal wasn't one to reveal much about himself or what he has been doing for the past 50,000 years. But one thing was certain, he was confidant in the abilities of this individual.

Speaking of which, Vandal could here loud and heavy footsteps coming from the other side of the door. His friend had arrived. The doors opened and revealed an escort that had been stationed to guide the individual to the right place, but what followed them caused the members of the Light to have surprised looks.

For what came out doorway, was a giant of a man, though man might not be the right way to describe him for he had crystal protrusions coming out of his shoulders as well as his big, long tail. Though they weren't able to figure out what his other traits were because he was wearing a mechanical suit, which was covered by what looked to be alchemist attire, he even had the hood over his head. He also possessed a large briefcase that was in one of his hands and when he got closer it was obvious that he towered over everyone in the room.

The individual looked down at Vandal Savage after getting close enough to him, and they both of them stared at one another for a few seconds before their new guest spoke.

"Show me.", spoke the individual whose voice was not normal because the fact that he wore a mask helmet over his head.

Vandal then led his old friend to the table that had the DNA samples of both the Titans and the heroes and villains that were kept in separate briefcases. Vandal then opened one of the briefcases and handed one of the samples to the individual. He inspected it and then was shown the whole schematics and plans for Project Titanus. The individual then gave it back to Vandal who then put it back into its briefcase.

"So, will you be able to make them?", asked Vandal, who was well aware of the answer but asked nonetheless.

"Yes. Yes, I will be able to do it.", said the individual, "You will have them in a month."

This brought a smile to Vandal's face, though one of the Light's members questioned this.

"How exactly, will zis individual be able to create the cloned hybrids. When not even ze greatest minds at our disposal can not figure it out.", stated The Brain, who while was on board, he felt a bit of jealousy from the fact that this person that they have never met before until now is able to make something that they believed was impossible after the failed attempts to get even started.

And he was not alone.

"While I don't share the same reason that our good friend here does for questioning your friend, Vandal. But I think it best that we actually know how he will be able to give life to Project Titanus, that and maybe also be given a name.", said Lex Luthor, who had an eyebrow sticking up because he doesn't actually believe that this individual could've easily figured out what to do in a matter of just 10 seconds.

Vandal knew that his friend didn't want to tell anyone his name, but before he could state anything his friend did it for him.

"You may call me and only refer to me as, The Alchemist. And as for how I am going to do what your 'greatest' minds have failed to accomplish is simple. The DNA you have for your human and alien donors, will need to evolve or better yet, be exposed to a source of power that doesn't destroy but creates.", said the Alchemist as he put his own briefcase on the table, "And after Vandal told me he had a problem, with his pet project. I had a feeling that I would need to bring this."

After opening the briefcase, Alchemist lifted a container that held a blue energy within it. When Vandal saw it, it brought him back to the days when he first ventured to a world like no other. To a kingdom like no other, a kingdom that protected the very source of which the first gods were born from. But he then remembered arrogance of mankind, the ones who sought to take the power for themselves, to make themselves the new gods of this world. They believed it wise to first conquer the Titans and then invade the Kingdom of the Ancients with their Titan army. They only signed their own death warrant, and it would be ages before mankind recovered from it, only to repeat the process a second time.

Vandal instinctively reached for the source of otherworldly power, but he was then brought out of it by the Alchemist when he got it out of his reach.

"How did you…", began Vandal before being interrupted.

"You are not the only one, who has their pet projects. This is left overs of one of my own. We only have enough for at least two generations of clones for each Titan sample. But should I get more then I will let you know.", stated the Alchemist, without any sign of emotion, "But I will need this Brain fellow to work alongside me, so that I don't need to be present for every clone to be made. And after looking at your plans, I have noticed a few flaws. So, I will see about making adjustments and improvements."

"Is there anything else you wish?", said Vandal, who raised an eyebrow.

"As long as you provide everything that I need, then things will go smoothly.", said The Alchemist as he handed the container to Vandal.

Though before Vandal could admire it anymore, the Alchemist made one final statement.

"I will have to warn you that it is easier to control an animal without thought, but it is difficult to control an animal with thought. And should my brother find out about this, I will not be there to defend you, old friend, nor do I wish for him to find out that I had a hand in this, understand.", said the Alchemist as he looked into Vandal's eyes.

"You were never here.", said Vandal with a smile.

The Alchemist was observing the camera feed of Project: Cadmus, and was greatly displeased by the fact that the second generation of clones for A1, A3, and B4 were being taken by the supposed protectors of the Earth. Vandal was also with him watching the display, and he appeared to be just as displeased, though Alchemist knew that Vandal was already thinking of a plan that could possibly put them back in their place. Though they had other problems that could possibly occur should the Justice League learn about the truth. Luckily Alchemist made countermeasures in case of any information leaks, Batman will only be able to learn about the clones' heritage by the human strains in their DNA, but they won't learn about the Titans or at least anything else that could be in the clones' genes.

Though they weren't exactly the only people in the room, the individuals that were with them refused to make any comments while in the presence of Vandal Savage and The Alchemist.

"It would appear that sending those three to Project: Cadmus, was not the best idea in the long run.", said the Alchemist with a cold tone.

"They were sent there in order to gain additional programming from the genomes, so as to allow them to be more easily controlled and undyingly loyal. Had we known the Justice League would send their sidekicks in to investigate Project: Cadmus, then we wouldn't have sent them there.", said Vandal Savage, who looked at his old friend, "Though I suppose, this will make our current situation more difficult."

"Having that fool, Sportsmaster, train the 'prototypes' was a mistake that led to the mass escape. But finding them, ourselves, won't be difficult, it is keeping this as discreet as possible along with reacquiring them is what the problem at hand is about. For unlike your 'finished products', they have all the abilities and strengths that their Titan heritage gave them.", said Alchemist, who turned around to look at those standing behind them, "And that includes your pets, Savage. They may have some of the traits of the Titans, but they don't possess the full extent of their abilities. They are too human to truly call themselves: Children of the Titans."

Alchemist just got some glares from a woman with red eyes, a boy with a scorpion tail, another boy with a lion's tail, another boy with clawed hands, and a girl with a green aquatic tail. The others flinched under the gaze of The Alchemist. Alchemist was not moved nor cared about what the Light's pets thought of him and returned to looking at the monitors, where it revealed that the League was leaving with the unconscious forms of the others, so he decided to have them show news papers and news recordings of things that while may seem to say otherwise were not news propaganda or some people making pranks by dressing up.

Vandal looked at them and could see what Alchemist meant by it not being hard to find the prototypes. One of the Newspapers read: Cythulu Killer: A Real Cultist or A Lovecraft Fan Turned Serial Killer?. While another one read: Mammoths Live and Aliens Exist?. Then the last two read: Gotham Devil Sightings Increase and Mystery Whirlpools and Typhoons: A Work of Atlantis or New Weather Phenomenon. There were plenty more like one that talked about recent small earthquakes and underground fighting rings using lions in Qurac and Egypt respectfully. Though he wondered what would be the best course of action, when it came to the prototypes.

"What do you suggest we do, Alchemist?", said Vandal, who was not as knowledgeable of the Titans as his old friend seeing as Alchemist's people had lived with and revered the Titans for generations.

"As long as two of your pets are left after you send some of them to continue your plans, then I can send them to acquire the prototypes. But it may be best to only send those that are not…related to them.", said Alchemist who whispered the last part Vandal.

Vandal turned his head slightly and eyed the Hybrids behind them.

"Agreed.", whispered Vandal.

"Besides, if I recall, there is always Plan B.", stated Alchemist, who brought up the file of the ORCA.

"I think it best that we place that as a back up plan to the back up plan, for I would rather avoid awakening the Titans and controlling them.", said Savage who eyed his old friend as if Alchemist was a bit to wishing to unleash the Titans.

"Alright then.", said Alchemist, who then brought up schematics for what appeared to be cyberized Titan Hybrids.

"If any of your finished product decide to turn against your Light, then what better way then to give them a true threat.", said Alchemist, who looked at the Hybrids coldly, "Anyone who betrays the Light, will then be subjected to the process of becoming a mechanical being."

Alchemist then eyed the Atlantean Titan hybrids.

"Oh, and as a better way to keep you in line, know this. The one who betrays the Light and leaves their team member behind, will subject said team member to the process of the transformation. Even if they remain loyal to the Light.", said the Alchemist has he walked over to the Hybrids who were quaking under the sound of his heavy footsteps, "Am I clear?"

The Alchemist was staring at all of them, and they nodded in response. Especially, the Kraken Hybrid. Alchemist then had them be dismissed in order to await their designated assignments.

"Did you really need to do that?", said Vandal, who while wasn't being sentimental to at least the majority of the Hybrids, knew that it could backfire on them.

"In my culture's past, and even in the now, we have a law that dictates that only the strongest may rule over others. My brother is currently the strongest, which is why I would rather not let him know of my involvement in this.", said the Alchemist.

"I know. But tell me, is this how you were going to act towards the prototypes?", said Vandal Savage, who looked at the Alchemist with a straight face.

"No, no I would not. The reason why I didn't put any programming in them, is because the best way to gain loyalty is through cultivation and compassion. You having the Shadows do all of the raising for them, lead to them despising and fearing the Light.", said The Alchemist, who walked back to confront his old friend.

"Which is why you called Sportsmaster a fool.", said Vandal Savage in understanding how it was that they weren't able to control the First Generation of Cloned Hybrids. Though there was one thing that Vandal wanted to know before The Alchemist returned to his headquarters.

"How goes are small passion project? How goes Project: Titanus Omega?", said Vandal who looked inquisitively with a smile.

"As I have stated before, I can't work on the project until I have found the right Titan that can, as you say, fit the bill, as the Omega Titan. One that is stronger and more powerful than even Gojira. So, until then, I will be working on my own projects. I am one of my people's lead developers in technology after all.", said The Alchemist as he began to walk out of the room, with Vandal Savage frowning at the fact that it may take years before The Alchemist finds this Omega Titan, "Have a nice day, old friend."

And like that, The Alchemist left as Vandal Savage turned around and made contact with the other members of the Light.

Unknown Location, July 11, 01:35 EST

The Alchemist was walking through the hallway of his home away from home, and began to remove his mechanical suit. He then put his normal attire on which was similar to what the Iwi wore, but instead of it being orange, it was blue in color and possessed a pattern that looked similar to the dorsal spines of Godzilla it also had half of his upper torso exposed with the other half being covered by a cloth that wrapped around his shoulder and his left arm being in a sleeve. He then went to look in the mirror and what looked back at him was the face that looked like a mix of human and Titanus Gojira, though it was mostly the latter. But unlike Gojira, he had two tusk like protrusions on his upper and lower jaws and on his forehead was a yellow horn-like protrusion that looked similar to a crown in a sense.

Alchemist though wasn't really paying attention to this after all he has seen his face now mutated face for a long time now, after his accident. What he was noticing that brought him concern was the fact that he had bags forming from the lack of sleep under his eyes. He knew that he needed to go to sleep and take a break, but he first needed to check on his own projects.

And after a while, he ended up in a place that was essentially his laboratory, Alchemist gave a yawn after turning the lights on, which revealed an assortment of mechanical parts, some chemicals, and two vats, with one of them being covered with a blanket and appearing to have something in it, while the other was empty. There were also some bones and other samples like plants and vials of blood.

It was something that could be described as a laboratory designed for both technological and biological studies, with some study in certain chemicals to add to it. Though The Alchemist wasn't there for anything related to those projects, in fact, he had decided to simply connect some wires, and then call it a night. So, he walked over to the center table in the room, where he currently had one of his projects being suspended in the air, muttering as he went.

"Vandal is not like many humans of the Overworld. But even he appears to still harbor their flaws. He believes that he can control Titans, when they are a force of nature. Something that cannot be controlled. Only through cooperation with the First gods, can he truly allow humanity to keep on its course of evolution. Though even then, humanity will return to its own nature, a nature that cannot understand the importance of…balance.", said Alchemist as he connected a power cord to a cleaned-up bone spine, "So, if Overworlders cannot be trusted to do what is right for both themselves and for the world they call home. Then I will just have to do it myself."

The Alchemist then connected wires to the skull that was connected to the spine, which was also then connected to a power cord. The skull in question appeared draconic, and if the Monarch scientists ever found it, then they would say that it looked familiar and might compare it to a current Titan that is on ice, except for the fact that it was only bigger than the average human skull. For it had three horns coming out of its head from the left and right sides, with the horns that grew to the top of the backside of the head being larger than the other two, but the lowest being the smallest in terms of size and length compared to the other two.

Once that was done, he decided to finish the process at a later date, so that he can rest. But before that, he noticed a portrait that he left in his lab. And knowing it might not be a good idea to keep it within the lab, went to get it. It was a portrait of his family. He looked at it for a while, remembering days where his brother wouldn't stop smiling. The portrait had Alchemist, his brother, his sister-in-law, and his niece when she was an infant.

He probably would've smiled or went back into those happy memories that he had with his family, but what he remembered the most was what happened not long after the portrait was made. He remembered that the Overworlders were manipulated by the Olympians had attacked one of the tribes because of the fact that the Olympians had encroached upon the territory of Typhon. Typhon was branded a monster and his followers were branded as demons, and what happened after all the fighting was over, sealed a bitter hatred towards the ones that the Overworlders call the Amazons. His brother would probably tolerate their presence because of the path he seeks to reestablish peaceful relations with the Overworld, but even he has his limits and would most likely would rather just avoid them as well as refuse to speak to them or any ambassadors that greet him. Alchemist on the other hand and a few members on the Council believe that it is about time that the people of the Hollow Earth, should take over the entirety of the planet and enact war upon the Overworlders. Others on the Council, on the other hand believe that the Overworlders need their help in order to prevent the many calamities that had happened on their world because of them thinking that they can use the Titans to their own benefit and are deserving of acquiring the aid that can be given to them. Alchemist though was among the few that believed in the prophecy only known as The Awakening, a time of which the First gods that remained on the Overworld would awaken and judge its inhabitants to see whether they are worthy of living in the world they call home. If the Titans judged them a threat to the balance of nature and by extension would only kill their world, then they would be wiped from existence. But if the Titans judged them worthy, then the Titans would live alongside them as they had done in the ancient past, and with that by extension would one day lead to the reunification of the people of the Hollow Earth and the Overworld.

Alchemist knew that the signs for the Awakening were already present, for the Titans had begun to stir from their ancient slumber, with only a few being active at the moment. But it was only a matter of time until the others would awaken, and judgement would be brought upon mankind. Though he was also aware that should the Titans wake up one at a time and over the length of years or even decades, then it would lead to mankind deeming the Titans a threat and would just doom themselves to extinction. Which is why he has voiced his opinion on using the ORCA to awaken the Titans over a span of several days or rather at the same time, but because of Vandal's known attitude which dictates that he would rather avoid alerting the world of the Titans as well as cause his own relationship with Alchemist's people to be strained or even caput for it would cause him to side more so with the people that have made the surface their home, rather than those from below. That and he doesn't want to accidently awaken him.

Alchemist understood this, but was confident that he would be dealt with by the one true king of the Titans, after all, Alphas can't control Alphas, which means that he will be fighting more than just one of the Alphas. Which is why, he made his decision, a decision that if found out by his family could cause their relationship to be strained or even torn apart, but he will risk it, for without the Titans, ALL of the Titans, the surface will continue to have its environments to be destroyed by expansion and the seeking of resources by humanity. And should they discover the tunnels, they will invade and make war over the untouched load of resources that would be discovered in the Hollow Earth along with one resource that could only be found in the Hollow Earth. It could potentially lead to genocide on a massive scale and the destruction of his homeland. And The Alchemist would not allow this to happen, so he will make a deal with the lesser of two evils.

Once the deal is struck, nothing on this or any other world, will prevent what is to come. For the domino effect, will lead to the World realizing that everything that they know so far about their own planet is just the tip of a very large iceberg. And the fate of the Titans and all that call Earth their home will walk the narrow line where on one side leads to the continued survival of the human race and the other will lead to total extinction for all things.

And The Alchemist was fully aware of it all. He placed the portrait in his bedroom, but before he went to bed, he thought it best to look at the schematics and see if he has everything. And after checking it twice, he noticed that he was missing a part.

"Ugh, I am missing an interplanetary transponder. And I don't have any of the materials needed to make one.", said Alchemist who knew that it was quite a hassle as it was now, "Looks like I am going to have to go to Star Labs and get the one they use for their Zeta Tube…but after I get some sleep."

And so, he spent the rest of the week catching some sleep.
