V.
Paimon has never seen the Traveler smile this much before. Days passed, and she felt suspicious, weeks passed, and she felt worried.
A few more passed, and now she's just scared.
"Hey, Lumine, you're creeping Paimon out! Can you not smile for a while?" she asked, and Lumine looked at her, confused.
She then giggled. "I'm sorry Paimon, but I don't think you'd understand if I told you~" she sweetly said, and this annoyed Paimon.
"What's that all about?!" she spoke, and Lumine continued giggling.
Paimon then crossed her arms. "Hmph! Fine then, if that's what you want!" she angrily spoke and floated away towards the direction…of an Amber walking towards them.
"Ah, Traveler! Good to see you! And you too Paimon!" she greeted but was then surprised to see Paimon annoyed. "Huh, did something happen?" she asked, and Lumine shook her head.
Paimon only got annoyed further as she floated on top of Amber. The Outrider was even more confused but decided to let it be. "Anyways, the Acting Grand Master wants to see you in her office now, if you're available." She spoke, and she and Paimon noticed a gleam in the Traveler's eyes.
"J-Jean calls for me?!" she asked, a bit too excited, and she cleared her throat, embarrassed at her momentary outburst.
"W-What else did she say?" she asked, and Amber thought about it. "Hmmmm, I think that's all."
The moment she said that the Traveler had already run towards the headquarters of the Knights of Favonius, leaving Paimon to Amber's care once again.
Amber then looked at Paimon and was nervous as she saw that the little floating girl was seemingly about to explode.
"H-How about you join me in my daily patrols outside Mondstadt, Paimon?" she then asked, hoping to blow off some of the floating one's steam.
The Traveler took a deep breath and softly knocked on the Acting Grand Master's office door.
She gently opened the door and saw the Acting Grand Master knee-deep into paperwork. Lumine noticed, however, no sign of exhaustion or fatigue from her.
She seems to be determined, even.
She raised her head, and her eyes widened once she saw the Traveler. "Oh, you're already here. Stay right where you are, I will prepare something." She then spoke, as she opened the drawer on her table.
Lumine nodded and just stood right in front of the door.
What Jean took out from the drawer was a beautiful blade with a simple yet intricate design. She smiles with pride as she wipes the blade with a clean cloth. Lumine recognized the weapon.
"Is that…?" she muttered, and she couldn't help but walk towards the table.
"The standard-issue weapon for a Knight that has sworn to protect Mondstadt: the Favonius Sword. It is a blade that was made to harness the gracefulness of the wind to aid its user not to strike, but to defend." She explained, smiling as she finished wiping it.
She stood up and stared at the Traveler.
Lumine smiled and stood properly.
Jean offered the Favonius Sword to her. "There is supposed to be a ceremony for the issuance of the Sword, but as I am busy all week, I have no time to prepare for it." She explained, a bit sad that such an occasion would be limited to just the two of them.
Lumine giggled and bowed down. "It is an honor nonetheless, O Great Dandelion Knight." She spoke, and Jean blushed.
She cleared her throat. "Then, as Acting Grand Master, and as a direct eyewitness of the Honorary Knight's deeds in the protection of Mondstadt, I hereby dub thee an official Knight of Favonius." She declared. She stepped away from her desk and, as the Traveler knelt, Jean used the blade to mark her ascension to knighthood. "May the winds guide you throughout your journey, Traveler." She added.
Lumine stood properly once more and smiled. Jean now offered her the Favonius Sword, and she accepted. She held the blade and did some slow practice swings. Smiling, she looked at Jean and bowed once more.
She then sheathed the blade on her back, disappearing, as the Acting Grand Master nodded, going back to her chair, for there was much work still.
But as she turned around, the Traveler took hold of her hand, gently pulling her as she jumped and kissed her.
Jean was surprised, but she reacted quickly: carrying her by the legs to maintain her balance and returning the kiss.
Lumine broke away, and Jean gently let go of her, making her stand properly. They both were smiling but it was obvious on the Traveler's face that she wanted more.
She pouted a bit, and Jean blushed. "Y-You wanted more?" she asked, and she nodded. She blushed even further.
"I-I still have a lot to do, isn't that kiss enough?" she asked, and Lumine shook her head.
She was now redder than a tomato but ultimately sighed. "A-Alright then, as you wish…" she softly spoke, leaning closer once more for yet another kiss.
Lumine giggled and then placed a finger on her lips. "One was enough~" she playfully whispered, and Jean was taken aback.
"L-Lumine!" she spoke, now a full-fledged blushing mess.
She giggled, although she herself was blushing madly as well. Jean looked away, turning around afterward. Her heart was pounding rapidly.
Lumine turned around as well, covering her face, embarrassed at her own actions. 'W-Why did I even do that?!' she screamed internally.
Another night spent comforted by her embrace, covered by both her warmth and the blanket's as the cold passes by.
"Lumine…what do you think of Mondstadt?" the woman cuddling me suddenly asked. Smiling, I leaned back further to her embrace, resting my head at the crook of her neck.
"It's beautiful, Jean. It's peaceful yet bustling all the same." I answered her, and she giggled, planting a kiss on my forehead.
"It warms my heart to know you enjoy Mondstadt." She softly spoke, and I took hold of her right hand. I brought it up to my face, kissing it softly.
"It's because of you that the place becomes better~" I sweetly whispered, and she giggled again.
"You have such a way with words, are you aware?" she asked, and I looked at her, smiling and shaking my head.
She smiled back and leaned closer for a kiss. I closed my eyes and let our lips touch.
I melted into the warmth of her affection.
