Chapter 2: Meeting Ace and The Journey begins.

Previously on Dragon ball Z…. UH I mean A Journey Anew

"LUFFY WHERE ARE YOU, YOU BLOODY BRAT!ARE YOU TRYING TO HIDE FROM ME?" He heard the voice of his grandfather calling him and he knew he would have to hide his strength from his grandfather.

"GRANDPA, DIDN'T MAKINO TELL YOU I WAS COMING OUT HERE TO TRAIN? SHE SAID SHE WOULD." Luffy shouted so his grandfather could find him, when Garp grabbed Luffy by the scruff of his neck and carried him to where he knew the base of Dadan was. Not even giving him a chance to say goodbye to the villagers.

"Leaving you in the village where you could meet that damned Red Hair was a mistake. A mistake I don't intend to make again. So your going to live in another place," Garp said while taking him away. This was how his journey started again and how he would once again meet his brothers. He would try and not change anything until he would start his adventure as a Pirate again.

Chapter start

Dadan's base

"Luffy,stay behind me and let me do the talking." Garp said showing one of the rarest moments of compassion Luffy ever experienced from his grandfather. "'Kay grandpa," Luffy said, feigning attention because he was concentrating on the presence that he was sure was his Ace-nii san.

Luffy started looking around too and saw Ace coming out of the forest with a boar ,that to many others would be very large, and walked over to him. " Hey, my name's Luffy what's yours?" Luffy asked Ace, already knowing what Ace was going to do.

As soon as Ace was about to spit, Luffy got ready to dodge and git away just in time not to get hit. "That's both rude and gross! You shouldn't do something like that or else people won't like you," Luffy said ,not really caring that Ace had spat at him.

"Who cares what you think ,brat? I wouldn't even want you to like me anyway ,so just leave me alone," Ace said to Luffy in an angry tone. "AH I SEE YOU'VE MET ACE LUFFY. HE'S GOING TO BE YOUR NEW BIG BROTHER , SO YOU TWO BETTER GET ALONG , GOT IT?" Garp said in an overly loud voice.

"So your name's Ace ? Nice to meetcha , let's be friends. SHISHISHISHI," Luffy said laughing at the end. Ace just grunted and ran off into the woods. "Okay you brat, I don't want you here , but we both will have to deal with it. But know this, if you don't get your own food ,;all you'll get is dry rice. Got that?" Dadan said to get Luffy to get him to pull his own weight.

"'Kay , be back later …I'm going hunting," Luffy said before running of into the woods to go get something for him to eat.

Time skip Luffy age 17 Fusha Village

Luffy was finally 17 and was ready to start his journey. He stands at the height of 5'10". He remembered how he used to be that short. He weighed 190 lbs. Luffy has a muscular build, tanned skin, shoulder length shaggy hair, a scar under his right eye and over his chest and a tattoo of his future Jolly Roger on his back.

He was wearing a black captains coat with red silk lining on the inside with no shirt underneath, black baggy sailors pants, black cuffed boots and the Straw Hat that he got from Shanks. He also has a katana called Yamato.

He was busy sailing away from the village bay after having said goodbye to the villagers and Makino. As he go out to sea, he saw a large shadow appear in the water. Out came the Lord of the Coast. "Hello there , I still need to make you pay for biting off Shank's arm," Luffy said as he drew his sword. When Yamato was fully unsheathed , he infused it with his armament Haki and his Mera-Mera no Mi powers to set it on fire and cut through the sea king ,cutting it in half vertically.

It was only 10 minutes before he was once again at the whirlpool that allowed him to find the cruise ship where he met Coby. He climbed into the barrel and let the water guide him.

10 minutes later Cruise Ship

Luffy awoke to the sound of voices talking about booze being in the barrel he was in. He used the powers of the Mera Mera no Mi to turn the barrel to ash, startling the people and making Coby scream in fright.

"That was a great nap. Do you know where I can find something to eat?" Luffy asked Coby ,completely ignoring the other men. "Hey , don't ignore us! We're part of the great Iron Club Alvida's crew," Random Idiot 1 said. "And what would her bounty be?" Luffy asked in a amused tone of voice.

"She has a bounty of 5,000,000 Beri she's one of the big names of the East Blue." Random Idiot 3 said thinking that would scare Luffy. "Yeah well I knew a Pirate who's bounty was 4,500,000,000 Beri. So that is a very small amount to me, SHISHISHISHI," Luffy said ,laughing at the small amount and making the three idiots and Coby start to sweat at the fact that this man knew someone with such a high bounty.

The three Idiots ran for their lives and left poor Coby there while he was frozen in fear. Not that he was in any real danger from Luffy. "You know, you never answered my question. My name's Luffy, by the way," Luffy said in clear amusement at their reactions. "Ye-yes-ss, right this way sir," Coby said in very clear fear of Luffy. The fear in Coby's voice made Luffy frown a bit.

"You know, you don't look like a person who wants to be a pirate, so why are you with them?" Luffy asked, trying to break the tension he had caused when he had shown how strong he was and accidentally made Coby afraid of him. "Well ,I never wanted to join them ,but I was forced to when I had mistaken their dingy for a Fishing boat. I have been too afraid to leave ever since," Coby said with a sad voice.

"Do you have a dream of what tou want to become? Mine is to become the King of the Pirates again," Luffy said ,not noticing that he had said again by mistake. "Wh-what do you mean again?" Coby asked ,now thinking that he was crazy for saying he was once the Pirate King.

"Did I say again? Well guess I will have to explain ,but first tell me what your dream is," Luffy said, knowing he would have to explain now, one way or another. "M-m-my dream is to become a M-m-marine A-a-admiral and to catch all the bad people like Lady Alvida. Can you tell me what you meant now?" Coby asked. As Luffy opened his mouth to explain ,a deep masculine female voice spoke up.

"Who are you going to catch you bloody brat?" The voice that Luffy knew was Alvida ,asked Coby in an angry tone. "Don't you know that it's rude to interrupt someone when they are about to speak?" Luffy asked in an annoyed voice before turning around and punching Alvida so hard that she whent flying far away from the ship.

"Now, as I was going to say before I was interrupted… This is the second time that I'm having this same journey, the first time round I had become the Pirate King, before I died of Old Age, and woke up in my younger body. If I remember Correctly there was a note along with the One Piece left there by Gol D. Roger, saying that if anyone were to become the Pirate King and Die with regrets in their Hearts, they would have a chance to make it right. At the time, my Crew and I had thought that itwas a bunch of baloney and just went on with our lives," Luffy explained to Coby.

"If I may ask what was your regret Luffy?" Coby asked in wonder. "I had a few regrets and they were that I couldn't get my crew to stay together after we had all completed our dreams, that I couldn't save my brother at his Execution and that I had made a lot of stupid and Impulsive decisions through out my life that had caused many bad things to happen," Luffy answered. "Anyway, do you know how to get to Shell Town from here ? I have some Business to attend to there." Luffy asked.

"Ye-yes I know the way ,but may I ask you something Luffy?" Coby asked. "You just did but go ahead," Luffy said in a joking way. "Do you think I can achieve my dream? Like you achieved yours?" Coby asked. "Yes ,I do you just have to put your all into it," Luffy said with a smile.

"Now, how about we go get us a boat and get to Shell Town," Luffy said ,before standing up to go and look for a boat. When they got to the top, he saw that there was no dingy left. But he sensed a presence down below, just a little bit away from the Pirate ship… it was his navigator Nami. He grabbed Coby and he jumped into her little boat.

"Hi my name's Luffy, and this is Coby .Do you think we can hitch a ride to Shells Town?" Luffy asked Nami after he introduced them to her. He saw that she looked surprised that they had been able to jump to her boat that was about 20 meters away from the ship he had jumped from. She was so shocked that she didn't even notice that the Marine ship had shot a cannonball at them. Luffy pulled her behinds him ,stuck his hand out and caught the cannonball in the palm of his hand, not even moving when it impacted .He then pulled his arm back and tossed the Cannonball straight at the hull of the Marine ship….Where it broke right through ,causing the ship start to sinking.

As to make sure that they didn't get a picture of any of them, he used his Mera Mera no mi to blast them away from their sights. When they where far enough away that he knew they couldn't get a picture he walked to the now terrified Nami and asked her if she was okay. "How is it even possible for a human to do anything that you just did?" Nami asked as she looked a little more calm after he showed concern for her.

"Well, I have been training to survive both Paradise and the New world. So of course I have to be strong to do that. And the reason I could make fire is because I ate the Mera Mera no Mi making me a Flame man. SHISHISHISHI," Luffy said ,laughing out loud. Nami and Coby looked confused about the places they heard him mention.

"What are Paradise and the New world that you mentioned?" Nami asked curiosly. "Oh well ,can you first tell me what you know about the Grandline," Luffy said in what both of them was sure was barely contained mirth. "It is the most dangerous sea out here and is also known as the Pirate graveyard. But what does this have to do with the places you mentioned?" Nami asked sounding annoyed.

"Well the thing is, you're only right about one thing… it is the most dangerous sea or well seas. You see the Grandline is split into two different seas by the red line ,one the first part is known to everyone that has never been past it as the Pirate Graveyard, but everyone who has been to and has survived the second half, knows it as Paradise ,and the Second half is known as the New World." Luffy said now looking like he was about to burst out laughing.

"Why would anyone call the first half of the Grandline Paradise?" Nami asked in a disbelieving voice with Coby thinking the same thing. This caused Luffy to burst into uncontrollable laughter. "SHISHISHISHISHISHI. Well the reason for that is that the first half is Paradise compared to the Second half." Luffy answered

"How do you know any of this any way?" Nami asked in a annoyed tone. "Because back when I was still 7 years old, I met a New World Pirate, who came to my home Island to restock but ended up using it as a temporary base while he and his crew where still going around the east blue as a break from the Grandline. He is also the reason that I want to be a Pirate and the reason why I plan to become the Pirate King." Luffy said looking nostalgic but he also knew what was going to happen next.

"I hate Pirates they're all bad people who don't care about anyone but themselves!" Nami shouted, temporarily forgetting what Luffy had done and soon looked afraid when she remembered. "You want to know what the Pirate that I mentioned was called and what he told me being a Pirate was about?" Luffy asked her with his infectious smile which oddly made her feel safe ,which really confused her. "What." she almost snapped.

"His name was Portgas D. Shanks and his name as a Pirate is 'Red Haired' Shanks and he is one of the four Emperor's of the sea and in my Opinion ,one of two Good Emperors ,and he told me the meaning of being a Pirate, as his previous Captain the First Pirate King Gol D. Roger is to be free and have many adventures with your nakama." Luffy said with a small smile his answer was a big shock to Nami.

"I'll only help you get to Shell Town then we part ways and don't talk to me on the way." Nami said in an angry and conflicted way. Luffy knew he basically broke her world view and that it would be best to wait until the next time he saw her at Orange Town to stop Buggy to talk to her again.

A/N: This took me a long time to write because as soon as I got to the point where he met Coby I had started to hit a blank and had discovered that it is very easy to begin a story but not continue it.

I would like to know what you readers think about an Idea I have for a seven Deadly Sins Fanfiction. In this story something went wrong when ban was being sent to purgatory through the gate that was being guarded by The Demon King who I will be Calling Tyronus on his way back to the Human world and he was instead sent back in time into his 20 year old self before he met Elaine bit he still has his Immortality and strength from the future.
