A/N: Here is the second chapter and I would still like to know if anyone would like to see a story made from the idea that I had given in the second chapter.

Chapter 3: The First Mate.

Last Time

"I hate Pirates their all bad people who don't care about anyone but themselves." Nami shouted temporarily forgetting what Luffy had done and soon looked afriad when she remembered. "You want to know what the Pirate that I mentioned was called and what he told me being a Pirate was about." Luffy asked her with his infectious smile wich odly made her feel save which really confused her. "What." she almost snapped.

"His name was Portgas D. Shanks and his name as a Pirate is 'Red Haired' Shanks and he is one of the four Emporor's of the sea and in my Opinion one of two Good Emperors and he told me that the meaning of being a Pirate as his previous Captian the First Pirate King Gol D. Roger is to be free and have many adventures with your nakama." Luffy said with a small smile his anszwer was a big shock to Nami.

"I'll only help you get to Shell Town then we part ways and don;t talk to me on the way." Nami said in an angry and convlicted way. Luffy knew he basically broke her world view and that it would be best to wait until the nexyt time he saw her at Orange Town to stop Buggy to talk to her again.

Chapter Start

Shells Town

Luffy and Coby where heading towards the Marine Base that is in Shells Town to get Coby into the Marines and to get Zoro. "So where do you think they are keeping Zoro Coby?" Luffy asked even though he already knows the answer to his question. Right after he asked he and Coby saw the people around them jumping against the walls in fear.

"You shouldn't mention his name. It's obvious that his name brings fear to everyone around us. Hey I've heard that this Marine Base is run by Captain 'Axe-Hand' Morgan," Coby started out in a wisper before saying the second part out loud. His loud declaration to his shock brought on an even greater rection of fear than Zoro's name did.

"Why are they afraid of Captain Morgan's name, I mean I can understand Zoro because he has a reputation as a demon but not a Marine Captain. I mean the Marines are the good guys," Coby saidn in shock not really understanding how his reasoning could be wrong. "Well Coby answer me this have you ever heard the saying 'Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely'?" Luffy asked Coby.

"Yes, but why are you asking me this?" Coby asked showing just how naive he really is, Luffy remembered when he was this naive. "Well the reason is that there are marines who get corrupted by their power just like many pirates are corrut because they wield more power than most others," Luffy said hoping that Coby would understand what he was saying.

"Anyway we're here and I can feel someone tied in the Execution Yard so lets check it out," Luffy sai before he grabbed Coby and jumped onto the wall. "Wait Luffy this is against the law what if we get arrested. "Well what about the little girl she's doing it too," Luffy stated like that answered everything. "Shhhhhh," The Little Girl said befor jumping to the other side and going to Zoro with the Rice Balls.

"What are you doing you bloody brat do you want to die?" Zorro asked the Girl. "I thought you might be hungry so I made you something. Their rice balls I hope that you like them," The Girl siad while smiling at him. "No now go away before I hit you." Zoro growled in an attempt to get the girl to go away something that Coby didn't know was for her own safety.

"That's horrible how could he treat a little girl like that? He really is a demon," Coby said in an angry voice to Luffy really believing Zoro's act. "No, he's acting that way because he knows that someone bad is coming. Look over there that boy is someone who looks like he only cares about himself," Luffy said before pointing to Helmeppo who was heading towards where Zoro and The Little Girl was.

"That's not very nice Zoro. You shouldn't be so mean to a little kid you know?" Helmeppo asked in a cocky tone of voice. "Tch.. Well if it isn't the Captain's bastard son, what do you want?" Zoro asked. "Oo are those rice balls I'll take that," Helmeppo said while ignoring Zoro all together and taking one of the Rice Balls from the little girl. "Yuck this tastes too sweet. You're sepossed to use salt you idiot, salt!" Helmeppo yelled at the poor girl before slapping the other rice ball out of her hands and stomping on it.

"I thought it would taste better sweet," the girl said crying when he stomped on her rice balls that she had worked hard on to make. "You throw the girl over the wall," Helmeppo said to the marine next to him. "But sir she's just a little girl," the Marine said as to try and get Helmeppo to change his mind. "Don't make me tell my Daddy on you," Helmeppo threatened the Marine. The Marine walked to the girl before he leanned to her ear, "Curl yourself into a ball that will lessen the damge you'll get from the fall," the Marine wispered to her.

She did as she was told and the Marine picked her up and tossed her over the wall. As soon as luffy saw her getting close to hitting the ground he dissipeared along with the little girl and they reappeared with the girl in Luffy's arms. "Hey Little one what's your name?" Luffy asked in the same tone of voice he used to use when ever he had to calm down one of his children when they where scarred.

"M-my-y name is Rika mister,"Rika answered stuttering at the first word from her crying. "That's a very pretty name Rika. Now My friend Coby here will take you back home while I take care of some Business, okay?' Luffy said to Rika while he smiled in a very kind way. "Okay will I see you again Mister?" She asked him in a very innocent way. "Yes I'll try to be quick okay?" he said making her nod with a smile. Luffy then handed her over to Coby and told him to take her to the Restaurant they had passed.

When they where out of sight he jumped over the wall and whent to where Zoro was. "Hey I would like you to join my crew. If you do I'll even give you this sword that is one of the 5 Godly Grade Weapons. After all I'm not truly a swordsman I only kept this sword to give it to someone it sees as worthy and it is telling me tnhat your are the one it has been looking for," Luffy said getting straight to the point.

"I can't and won't join you, I have a Dream to achieve and being a pirate doesn't align with my dream," Zoro said to Luffy in a tone of finality. "Fist I would like to know why you can't do it," Luffy said. "Because I made a promise to last a month here without any food or water and I won't break that promise," Zoro said with pride. "Secondly I would like to hear what this dream is that makes it so that you won't be a Pirate for," Luffy stated using a very miniscule amount of Conqueres Haki to make sure Zoro would answer his question.

The haki made Zoro sweat. 'What is this feelling it's like he is death itself,' zoro thought in slight fright. "I want to be the worlds greatest swordsman," Zoro said in a way that would hide his fright. "I don't see why that makes it so that you won't be a Pirate after all the current World's Greatest Swordsman is a Pirate himself and as a Pirate I can Garentee that you'll meet him at one point. Also as the future Pirate King i would need nothing but the best swordsman in my crew. Well I need to go I'll be back when you bet is finished to get your final answer," Luffy said before dissapearing using soru.

Rika's Mother's Restaurant

Luffy reappearen infront of Rika's Mother's restraurant and whent inside. There he saw Coby sitting at one of the tables and whent to sit whith him. As soon as he sat down little Rika ran up to them while pulling her mother with. "Mommy this is the Mister who saved me," Rika said to her mother making Luffy smile at her. "Hello Ma'am, my name is Luffy," Luffy said introducing himself. "It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Risa and I'm very greatful that you saved my daughter, but I warn you don't make trouble with the Marines or they'll execute you, Rikja dear please take their orders," Risa said before going back to the counter.

As soon as she got there Helmeppo walked in and started to make noise. "Woman give me food for free or I'll tell my daddy. You know what I'm going to have Zoro Executed tomorrow I've grown bored of him," Helmeppo said making Luffy walk up to him and punch him through the wall of the restaurant and several houses. "Damn didn't hold back enough," Luffy said before looking at Coby and Saying "Coby stay here I need to go save Zoro and get rid of some Corrupted Marines, if you come then there is a big chance you won't be able to join."

Shell's Town Marine Base

"Where are they keeping your swords?" Luffy asked Zoro even though he already knew the answer. "I already told you I'm not laving until I fufil my promise so leave already," Zoro said in an angry tone. "Well if I do leave you'll get executed tomorrow and if I help you you'll be branded a Pirate anyway for going against the Marines so either I help you and you join my crew or I don't and you die now make your choice," Luffy said no longer playing around. "The only choice I have is to join you then if I'm to live to complete my dream, The captain's son took them sp they should be in his room," Zoro said reseighning himself to his fate.

Luffy left to the marine base to get Zoro's Blades. He quickly got to Helmeppo's Room and took only two of Zoro's Swords Wado Ichimonji and one of the Nameless Blades. He then took off Yamato and held it wioth the other two swords and left to Zoro. He used his flames to turn the Ropes into ashes and let Zoro free. He then gave him his two swords and his new sword aswell. "Only two of these belong to me why are you giving me your sword?" Zoro asked in confusion. "Because you'll never defeat Mihawk with only one named sword so I'm giving you another one but it is up to you to get a third one aswell," Luffy said before he continued talking, "Noiw we have to go and defeat Captain Morgan and free the town," Luffy said before he lead Zoro through the base to the roof.

"Corrupt Marine Captain 'Axe-Hand' Morgan I'm here to defeat you and free this town from your tyranny," Luffy said making Morgan look at him angrely. "And who the hell do you think you are you fucking brat?" Morgan asked in fury. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy and I'm going to become the Pirate King," Luffy stated like it was obvious. Before he dissapeared and reappeared with his fist set aflame and burried it in Morgans Gut caving it in and knocking Morgan unconsious.

"I suggest that you lock him up before he wakes up. Me and my first mate are going ro Risa's restaurant to get something to eat before we leave," Luffy said taking Zoro with him in a soru to Rika's Restaurant.

Time Skip 30 minutes Rika's Restaurant

After they had finished eating they where given some supplies to take with them by Risa for free. Before they could leave Leutenant Ripper walked in with some more Marines and whent to Luffy. "I would like to aske you and your friends to leave now while we are thankfull for you taking down Captain Morgan we can't have pirates in this town we will however not repport you to HQ," Ripper told them. "Before we leave do you have a Baby Den-Den Mushi with you? I would like to make a call," Luffy asked.

"Yes but please be quick," Ripper said before handing Luffy a Baby Den-Den Mushi. Luffy quickly dailed his grandfather's personal number. "Hello this is Vice-Admiral Garp who is this?" the Gruff voice of Garp asked on the other side. "Hey Gramps it's luffy I want you to come pick up a boy who will be my replacement and a Corrupt Marine Captain here in Shells town the Boy's name is Coby, I know he'll be a great marine one day," Luffy said making the Den-Den Mushi frown at his words showing Garp's anger at him.

"Fine but know this when I'm done training him He'll be kicking your ass all the way through the Grand Line you Bloody brat," Garp said in anger, "I'm looking forward to it Gramps, He'll be ,my Garp to His and I'll be his Roger, I love you gramps and this is goodbye," Luffy said before hanging up. "Okay we'll leave now, come Zoro we've got a Clown to Beat," Luffy said to Zoro confusing him again.

When they got to the docks they took one of the small Marine Boats when they where a ways away from Shells Town Zoroo spoke, "So this is what amounts to a Pirate Crew huh?" he asked. "Ofcoarse not your just my first mate now I need to concintrate to get to our next destination as quick as possible so we can talk again when i take a break," Luffy said before he used observation haki to vind Nami and sail towards her.

A/N: Here is the second chapter and I hope this chapter answered your question quest reviewer. I would like to know who you want paired with who but know this Luffy and Robin are going to be together and that is final. Next chapter They save Nami who got caught by the people who where chasing her because Luffy doesn't jump after the bird this time round.
