Chapter 11: Good Surprise, Bad Surprise

After Marinette got everything, she needed to start working on the jacket, she and Adrien said goodbye to Miss Bustier, telling her they would see each other on Monday, and went to the cinema. But as they were making their way to the underground, they decided that after what happened, they would not be able to focus on the movie, and instead opted to do something different. Their heads were still swarming with all kinds of thoughts. They got used to all sorts of situations, since they were given their miraculous. But for the first time since that happened, they were shocked with what they had learned, especially Marinette. She knew that after everything she had witnessed, and all the things that Miss Bustier told her and Adrien, she should not feel so shocked. But it was in her nature to overthink things. It was the main reason, why it took her so long to tell Adrien she loved him. And now, it was making her overthink about finding out her teacher was secretly a famous cosplayer. It was going to take her a couple of hours, before she would stop thinking about it. But Adrien hoped to reduce that time, by making Marinette feel calmer, and he knew just what to do.

Even before they started to date, Adrien knew that Marinette had a sweet tooth. Being the daughter of two bakers, it was only normal, and Adrien knew it. He also knew that when she got nervous, Marinette had the tendency to eat sweets. This led him to look for a place where they could eat something sweet. Finding a café, they both sat on the terrace and a waiter quickly appeared, asking them what they wished to have. Ordering two croissants and two cappuccinos, Adrien continued to talk to Marinette, trying to get her distracted, while waiting for their order to arrive. This also allowed him to flirt with her a little bit, something he had not done that afternoon. He loved to flirt with Marinette, because it made her blush, and seeing her blushed was one of his favourite things. As for Marinette, was not a fan of blushing in front of Adrien, but she had slowly learned to feel more comfortable doing it, especially because it made Adrien smile, and she loved to see him smile. When their order arrived, the flirting ceased and they enjoyed their snack, especially Marinette, who had not realized how hungry she was.

"Feeling a little better, milady?" -Adrien asked her, as he watched Marinette nibble the croissant.

"A little, thanks to you." -Marinette smiled at Adrien. –"I'm so lucky in having a boyfriend, who just knows how to calm my nerves and my thoughts." -she declared, while continuing to smile.

"A true gentleman ought to know his lady, better than he knows himself." -Adrien said, with a gallant voice, which made Marinette giggle. –"But seriously, I'm glad I managed to make you feel a little better." -he declared, this time with his regular voice, before taking a sip from his cappuccino, noticing –"Are you sure you're okay, Marinette?"

"My mind's still spinning from everything we found out about Miss Bustier." -Marinette confessed. –"I'm trying not to think too hard about it, but you know how I am, silly kitty." -she said.

"It's okay, I get it. And you ain't the only one who's going through that. I'm also still processing it too." -Adrien admitted. –"When I woke up this morning, I never thought that I would find out that our teacher is actually a famous cosplayer." -he said.

"Me neither." -Marinette told him. –"Still, with everything we've seen and experienced, you would expect us to not have been this baffled with what we found out." -she said, before sipping her cappuccino.

"True. It shouldn't affect us this much, but I guess even with everything we've seen and experienced, we still do get surprised by certain things." -Adrien admitted.

"It's like you said the other day, we're only humans, after all. And being humans, we tend to be surprised, one way or another." -Marinette smiled, before taking another bite out of her croissant.

"I guess the shock is because we tend to think we teenagers are the only ones who can be more than meets the eye." -Adrien answered her. –"We're used to seeing teachers and other adults as just what they appear to be, that when we find out that they aren't just what they appear to be, we became surprised. And regarding Miss Bustier, it was a complete shock, because she doesn't look like the kind of person who would have that kind of hobby." -he said, when he began to chuckle, while looking at Marinette's face.

"What?" -Marinette asked him, as she finished her croissant.

"S-Sorry, but your cheeks look like those of a chipmunk, right about now." -Adrien joked, as he looked at Marinette. –"A very cute chipmunk." -he laughed.

"A-A chipmunk?" -Marinette asked, blushing. –"Me and my bad habit of stuffing my mouth with food, when I'm nervous." -she thought to herself, before swallowing, as Adrien continued to chuckle. –"Stop it, Adrien!"

"S-Sorry, Marinette." -Adrien continued to chuckle, trying to stop. –"In my defense, you look super cute." -he told her.

After that embarrassing moment for Marinette, they resumed their cheerful conversation, with Adrien apologizing, still chuckling. Once they finished eating, they paid the tab, and decided to continue to walk, without a set destination. They were both feeling their minds were a little bit calmer, than before. But even with their minds a bit calmer, they still had a huge secret that was just too big for the two of them to share alone. Luckily, it was a secret that they had been given authorization to share with a handful of people, whom they knew would never share it with anyone else.

"How about we find a more deserted place, and tell the others about what we found?" -Adrien suggested her, as he took out his cell phone. –"I mean, since Miss Bustier has given us permission to tell the rest of the class about her hobby, why don't we do it?" -he asked her.

"I guess we could." -Marinette smiled. –"I was hoping to tell them all later, but I guess we can do it right now." -she said, as they kept walking. –"Let's find a place to do that, and hope that everyone picks up, because I don't know about you, but there are certain people that will go bonkers, when they hear about this."

"You're talking about Chloe, aren't you?" -Adrien chuckled.

"Nope. I was talking about Alya. You know she loves to be the first one to know about all kinds of juicy gossip." -Marinette smirked at him.

"You're right. Although, I think Chloe loves to be the first one to know about gossip, way more than Alya." -Adrien joked.

Finding a nearby park, the two of them sat on one of the numerous empty park benches, and quickly made the call, to tell the others the news. They did not know how many would answer, given they knew that some of their friends, like them, had made plans for that afternoon. They expected to have four, or maybe five of their friends answering their call. But to their surprise, they all answered, and quickly greeted them and asked them why the sudden group-call. Both Marinette and Adrien smiled and told them that there was no reason for an alarm, and that they had called them to share something incredible.

"Something incredible?" -Nino asked.

"What's so incredible, you two have to share with us?" -Alya asked, when one of the twins, Ella, showed behind her, making faces. –"Ella, I'm on a call with my friends! Go play with Etta and Nora, that I'll go back to playing with you again, okay?" -she asked her little sister, who quickly left her to continue the talk. –"Sorry, guys. Nora and I are babysitting the twins this afternoon… But like I said, what's so incredible, you two have to share with us? Come on, details, details, people!"

"I'm with her. It's got to be something really big, for the two of you to be telling us together." -Kim said. –"But make it quick, okay? I'm on my way to my swimming lesson, and I can't be late." -he warned them.

And Kim was not the only one who asked them to be quick. So, they decided to go straight to the point. They told them everything that happened, from the moment they arrived at the address LettersGirl had sent her, and what happened next. as they predicted, the response from the friends was a mixture of surprise and shock. They told him everything that happened. None of them were prepared to hear the revelation given to them. And each one's reaction was different. Their reaction was mostly positive, but all of them, different from one another.

"To think you know someone." -Alya said, baffled by what she had heard.

"Okay, I need a moment to process all of this." -Kim said.

"That's so cool!" -Rose exclaimed. –"Miss Bustier was already awesome, but now…" -she said.

"Now, she's super awesome." -Juleka finished the blonde's sentence.

"That explains, why sometimes she showed up in class wearing those period costumes." –Ivan said. –"She must have had them in her closet, because of her hobby." -he hypothesized.

"That alone should've made us put the hypothesis of her being a cosplayer." -Sabrina said. –"We were so blind." -she declared.

"There was no way, we could've even hypothesized that, Sabrina." -Nathaniel told her. –"She never spoke about it in class, and there was no reason for us to even think about that." -he pointed out.

"Tomato boy is right, Sabrina." -Chloe told her, calling Nathaniel by the nickname she had given him, due to his hair colour. –"There was no reason for any of us to even think she had that hobby." -she said.

"Well, I think it's nice to know Miss Bustier has such a beautiful hobby She gets to be anything or anyone she wants, like an actress." –Mylene smiled at that thought. –"Sometimes we forget that teachers also have lives outside school." -she said.

"Yeah. I still remember when I was in 3rd grade and I thought that my teacher lived in school." -Nino joked, remembering it. –"Man, I was such an idiot for think that." -he said.

"Idiot, no. Absolutely naïve, yes, but never idiot." -Alya smiled at her boyfriend. –"You're not the only one who thought things like that." -she said. –"I believed in Santa Claus, until I was nearly 10."

"10, really?" –Nino laughed. –"I stopped believing in Santa Claus, when I was 5 and I saw my dad getting dressed as Santa to surprise me." -he admitted. –"My parents told me that he was just giving Santa Claus a hand, because he was a very busy man, but…"

"We all went through that, somehow, someway." -Kim said. –"We all found out the truth about something we thought was real, but turned out the other way." -he pointed out.

"Yes. Until I was 7, I believed that unicorns existed." -Rose confessed.

"Well, I thought that thunder was the angels playing bowling, up in the clouds, until I was 6." -Ivan said. –"That's what you get for hearing your grandma joking about things, and then believing what she told you is true." -he said, as he remembered his grandmother telling him that story.

"Oh, those stories are good, but they aren't worse than mine, who until I was 5, thought that Jean was a robot." -Chloe confessed. –"It was only when he cut himself, while picking up the shards of a vase that I accidentally broke, and I saw him bleed that I realized that he was human." -she said.

"Okay, you just made that one up, Chloe." -Adrien chuckled.

"No, I didn't, Adrikins. I really thought that Jean was a robot." -Chloe chuckled. –"He did everything I asked him to. When I called him to get me my toys, he would. When I wanted to eat something, he would bring me a snack… things like that." -she said.

"In sum, he behaved a little like a robot, and you thought he was a robot." -Sabrina smiled, while placing her hand over Chloe's. –"I guess we all came up with crazy thoughts, when we were younger." -she said.

"We were so naïve back then." -Rose giggled.

"Yeah, like all little kids." -Max said.

"But going back to what we were talking before, we can't tell anyone about it. Miss Bustier would certainly lose her job, if people found out about her secret." -Marinette said.

"And they won't, girl." -Alya said.

"Yeah, we're not going to tell anyone about this, and get the best teacher in the world in trouble." -Alix said.

"Mom's the word, as people say." -Nathaniel declared.

"Indeed. We won't tell a soul about Miss Bustier's secret." -Nino said. –"I mean, if we can jeep a certain secret from everyone, including our parents and siblings, we can certainly keep Miss Bustier's secret safe too." -he declared.

Trust had been something that always existed between most members of Miss Bustier's class, and with time, that trust extended itself to all its members, and they had all proved they could be trusted.

"By the way, you never told me what was the commission she asked you." -Alya said. –"So, what's the commission?" -she asked Marinette.

"She commissioned me Nebula's jacket." -Marinette answered her.

"Nebula? As in, Nebula from the Guardians of the Galaxy, the version played by Karen Gillian in the MCU?" -Max asked her.

"Yup, that's the one." -Marinette told him. –"And she needs it finished, as soon as possible." -she said.

"No doubt, for the Japan Expo, in a couple of weeks." -Max said.

"Yes. She's going to need it ready, so she can participate in a cosplay contest, that's going to take place during that convention." -Marinette declared. –"Now, more than ever, I've got to focus on getting it done. I don't want to disappoint her." -she sighed.

"And you're not going to disappoint her, Marinette." -Adrien smiled, as he placed his hand over her shoulder, patting it –"You're going to do a great job, like you always do, with every piece you set to create. Do I have to remind you about the Rena Rouge hoodie, that looked so awesome that we all ended up asking you to make one for each of us, based on our other personas?" -he reminded them.

"Which we're still waiting for you to make, when you have the time." –Kim stated.

"Kim!" -Alix, Rose, Juleka and Mylene exclaimed in chorus.

"What?! I was just pointing it out." -Kim said.

"Your boyfriend knows what he's saying, girl." -Alya told her. –"You're going to create such a beautiful jacket, that Miss Bustier's even going to cry out of joy." -she said, reassuring her.

"Well, I already had tickets to go the convention, like I do every year. And now, I have one more reason to go." -Max declared. –"I'll be cheering for her." -he said.

Max had attended the last editions of Japan Expo. He had attended them, mostly because of the videogame section of the event, as well as to check out the numerous stores in it, in hopes of finding great deals, when it came to videogames and action figures. He had always attended the convention with his parents, but that year, he considered himself old enough to attend it on his own.

"You aren't going to be the only one." -Kim told him. –"I hadn't told you this yet, but I'm also going this year. You're always saying that that convention is the best place for a person to try on the newest videogames, before they come out. So, this year, I'm going to check, if you're telling the truth or not" -he said. –"And while I'm at it, I'll also cheer on for Miss Bustier, when she goes up on the stage."

Once more, the subject of the conversation changed, and they began to talk about the convention and how most of them had never attend it, though they had wanted to. There were exceptions to the rule, like Chloe, who up until recently, thought that such an event was beneath her tastes and standards, and would never be caught attending it. But now, even she felt attracted to the idea of attending a cosplay convention, especially if it was to cheer on for her favourite teacher, who had good chances of winning the contest she was going to enter in. They all wanted to go, but some would not be able to.

"Well, I won't be able to attend it, even if I wanted to." -Mylene said. –"I'm flat broke, right about now and the tickets are expensive." -she declared. –"I'm saving money for the summer, so I can't spend money on any tickets right now."

And she was not the only one, who was saving money for the summer. Most of them were all saving every penny they could, so they would have a small nest-egg to spend, once summer arrived. Not counting Christmas, summer was always the time of the year where people spent the most money. And just like Christmas, summer was also the time when the coolest things came out, and money could not be an issue, when it came the time to buy or attend them.

"You and I. Buying tickets to attend a convention, is out of the question for the time being." -Nathaniel said.

"And you're not the only ones." -Nino said. –"I don't usually care about that kind of event, but I would love to go . But I guess I'll just have to wait for another opportunity." -he said.

"Don't worry, Nino. I won't be going either." -Alya told him. –"But those of us, who will be able to go, you better make sure Miss Bustier feels like she's got the best supporters in the world." -she said.

"I'll make sure of that." -Kim said. –"When I want to, I can be as loud and noisy as a whole crowd put together." -he declared.

"We know." -Alix commented, in a sarcastic tone.

"Well, I don't have to save money like most of you guys have to, but I can surely say that my dad won't even allow me to go." -Adrien confessed. –"It's already hard to convince him to allow me to do some of the things I usually do, and that is because Nathalie is always there to convince him." -he said. –"And a convention as big as the one we're talking about, that's the kind of event he doesn't want me to attend, because he thinks it's dangerous."

"Well, he allowed you to go to Jagged Stone's and KISS's concerts." -Marinette reminded him.

"Yeah, but I think he only allowed me to go to those two, because he was in a really good mood. Plus, I was going with all of you. In this case, only one or two of us will be able to go, and that alone is enough for him not to feel like I would be losing something unique." -Adrien told his girlfriend. –"And even if he allowed me to, which he won't, he would probably have Gorilla be my shadow during the whole time, and you guys know how much I hate when that happens." -he said.

"It's really a shame that most of us won't be able to attend it. I'm sure Miss Bustier would love, if she saw us in the audience." -Rose said. –"I'd love to go, and cheer her on." -she told the others.

"If only we had the money to buy the tickets, without having to spend a dime on them." -Ivan sighed.

And that was when an idea sparked inside Sabrina's brain. She knew how they could get the tickets, without spending a single nickel. And all she needed to do, was to persuade a very special blonde, which she knew would be easy. All she had to do was to speak the right words, and maybe make sad puppy eyes at her, which she knew she could not resist. But deep inside her, she knew she would not have to do the latter, because she knew she just had to appeal to the kindness in her golden heart.

"I know how we can all go! Chloe, do you think you could get us tickets?" -Sabrina asked her girlfriend. –"If there's one person I know who can do it, it's you, my bumblebee" -she said with a sweet and caring voice, calling Chloe by the nickname she had given her.

"Sabrina! Don't call me that in front of the others!" -Chloe told her, as she blushed lightly.

"Now here's something, you don't see every day… Chloe Bourgeois blushing like a tomato." –Marinette thought to herself, very amused with what she was seeing on her cell phone. –"Looks like I'm not the only one who blushes, when she gets teased." -she giggled to herself.

"Sorry, but I just couldn't help myself." -Sabrina apologized to her, always with a smile on her face. –"But could you get tickets for the convention, for the rest of us, please?" -she asked her again. –"That way, we could all go and cheer on for Miss Bustier."

"Maybe." -Chloe answered her, as she tried to stop blushing. –"If I ask my dad, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to get us all tickets." -she said.

"If you could, we wouldn't have to pay for them." –Kim said.

"Well, duh, that's the whole point of it, Kim!" -Alix told him, with a voice filled with sarcasm.

"But more importantly, like Sabrina said, we could all go and cheer on for Miss Bustier." -Juleka declared.

The excitement was quite big. It was times like that, when they were all thankful and happy for having Chloe as a friend, something that most of them would have never found possible earlier that school year. But not everyone was excited about it. Adrien still believed that he would not be able to attend the convention with the rest of the gang, because of his father.

"That's great, and I really hope you can get us the tickets, Chloe." -Adrien smiled at the blonde, though everyone could tell that that was not his usual smile, but a sad one instead. –"Still, I think you guys will have to go, without me. I don't know if my dad will let me attend it." -he stated.

"Don't worry, Adrien. Let me talk to him." -Marinette said. –"If Chloe can get us all tickets, I'll find a way to convince him." -she declared.

"You really think you can convince the mighty Gabriel Agreste, who usually doesn't like me to go anywhere?" -Adrien asked her, with a hopeful smile on his face. –"He's a tough cookie, to say the least." -he pointed out.

"Well, I might need a little help from Nathalie, who's already a pro in dealing with him, but yes, I think I can do it." -Marinette said.

"It's amazing how Marinette can be. One minute, she's stressing out that she won't be able to do Nebula's jacket for Miss Bustier. The other, she fiercely believes she can convince dad to let me attend Japan Expo… she really is unique." -Adrien thought to himself, while smiling at Marinette. –"Alright. I trust you, Marinette." -he said, as he caressed her chin, making her blush a little bit. –"But just in case, I better ask Nina to help you out, as well. Who knows, maybe the three of you can convince him."

There were things in this world that allowed one to relax and just enjoy a Saturday night, after dinner. To some, that was watching television, or read a book, or go out for a walk or the movies. But for Max Kante, there was nothing more relaxing that spending an afternoon cleaning up his collection of figurines and action figures. After hearing the news about Miss Bustier and her hobby, he needed to do something to digest and process what he had learned. And finish cleaning his collection was a fine way to do so.

Other than his videogame and boardgame collections, that collection was what he considered to be his most valuable possession. He had begun to collect action figures, when he was only six years, when his maternal grandmother offered him a Power Ranger action figure. And from then on, he had tried to collect those he deemed worthy of his collection. Some were more expensive than others, but he never regretted buying any, because he saw that as an investment. Over the years, he had seen similar collections monetize several times, due to several circumstances, and he believed the same could happen to his collection, one day. He just needed to be patient and continue to buy those he deemed were good enough for it, while also taking in consideration his personal taste and the size of his wallet. The larger his collection was, the more valuable it would become, even if he did not have items in it that were worth tens of thousands of euros.

Among the figurines and action figures he had been recently collecting, there were a few of the Miraculous Team. He had bought almost every figurine that was made of the team, and had assembled them in different poses, as if they were a Japanese super sentai team. He liked them all, but his favourite had to be the Arachnid, and it was not because it was an action figure of himself. It was because of the quality of the figure and the way it looked so realistic. It was so pretty, that only he got to touch it and clean it. Not even Ari, who was helping him clean up the collection, was allowed to touch it. And as Max was about to grab it, and clean it with the brush he always used for that task, he heard someone calling him.

"Maximilian Kante, come here at once!" -the voice called him. It was his mother.

"Maximilian? I must be in trouble…" -Max thought to himself.

Like it happened with most mothers, Claudie Kante also called her son by his full name, when he had done something bad or wrong. And as he thought about it, Max could not think of a reason why he would be in trouble with his mother.

"I did the laundry. Washed the dishes from lunch and dinner. Took out the trash… I think I did everything she told me to do." -Max thought to himself. –"Well, better go and see why she's calling me, before she calls me again." -he mused about, as placed the figure in its place again. -"Take a break, Ari. We'll finish this, once l I come back."

"Don't you trust me enough to clean your precious figurines?" -Ari asked him.

"It's not a matter of trust. It's just that you tend to miss a few spots, when cleaning them, and I can't let dust set on those spots, because otherwise, it'll damage their painting, eventually." -Max told him, as he opened the bedroom door. –"Be right back." -he said.

He kept trying to guess the reason why he had gotten himself into trouble, but he could not think of any reason. Regardless of that, he went to see why his mother was calling him. He found her in the living room, with a very serious look on her face. Seeing her like that, Max knew that she was not happy. Like it always happened, Max decided to let his mother talk first, for he knew that he spoke first, it would not give him the opportunity to come up with a proper response.

"Okay, Max, why did you do it?" -Claudie asked her son.

"Did what, mom?" -Max asked his mother, not knowing what she was talking about.

"You know very well that you did." -Claudie told him in a serious tone. –"You entered my laboratory, when you're not supposed to, without my permission." -she said.

"But I didn't enter it." -Max declared. –"Why is she thinking I entered in her lab?" -he thought to himself.

"Don't lie to me, Maximilian! I know you were there." -Claudie warned him. -"And I have proof of it!" -she declared, as she showed him a polaroid. –"This was taken, last night, when you touched the quantum spectrum camera."

Showing Max, the polaroid, his heart nearly stopped. The polaroid did not show him, but it did show something that was not supposed to be show. It showed a distorted image of Ari, the spider kwami. Looking at the polaroid, he could not believe his eyes. They had established that kwamis could not be recorded or photographed, due to their magical aura. But now, there was a photo of Ari. It was a little blurred, but you could see the kwami in it.

"You know very well you can't go into the laboratory without me." -Claudie said. –"You're not supposed to do it, especially when carrying one of your toy around." -she added. –"The equipment in that laboratory is very expensive and can easily be contaminated, or broken, if we're not careful with it."

Claudine continued to reprimand him, but Max was not paying attention to what his mother was telling him. His mind was flooded with all kinds of questions; among them, the question of how could that have happened?

"This is impossible… kwamis can't be photographed or recorded. And yet, that's a photo of Ari, right there." -Max thought to himself –"But how? How could that thing, mom was talking about, photograph Ari?!" -he mused about.

"I'm always warning you to never go in there, because you might break something!" -Claudie went on. –"What would've happened, if you had broken anything?! What would have happened if you had broken the quantum spectrum camera, or one of its lenses?! I'll tell you what it would've happened! I would've to pay for it, from my own pocket, which would be hard, because that piece of equipment is worth more than this house." -she told, with a serious and stern voice. –"Not only that, but that would get me a one-way ticket out of the astronaut-training project."

"I've got to tell this to the others, and to Master Fu as well. This is… serious, to say the least." -Max thought to himself.

The reprimand went on for another five minutes, with Claudie warning her son to never do that again, or otherwise, he would be grounded for a whole year, and that his father would know about it and agree with that punishment. Max simply nodded and promised that he would not do it again, without even thinking about the matter. Right then, he had more important things to worry about. Once Claudie told him that he could go back to his bedroom, Max quickly made his way back to it. In his mind, he only had one thought: he had to tell someone about what had happened. When he entered in his bedroom, Ari, who was sitting on the bed reading a magazine, noticed the concern in his face, and feared something bad had happened.

"What's the matter, Max?" -Ari asked him. –"What did your mom want?"

"Talk to you in a minute." -Max said, as he went for his cell phone. Grabbing it, he looked for the old master's phone number. –"Come on, where is it?! I know I have it." -he thought to himself. –"Here it is!"

"Here what is?" -Ari asked him. –"What are you talking about, Max?"

"I'll talk to you in a minute, Ari." -Max said, as he dialled the number. –"Before I tell any of the others, I need to tell this to Master Fu." -he thought to himself, while waiting for the old master to pick up the call. –"Come on, master, pick up, pick up, please!"

"Max, you're scaring me. What's going on?" -Ari asked him, beginning to feel scared.

"Something bad… well, not bad, but… oh, hold on, Master Fu picked up." -Max said. –"Master? It's Max… we've got a problem." -he told the old man.

Once again, I must apologize to you all, for taking so long to update this fic. But between art-blocks, heat wavez that suck a person's energy and will to write, and work, I've been having a lot of difficulty in writing lately (the one-shot that I posted last week, was written over nearly a month, and I still don't know where I found the energy and the time to finish it). Either way, I haven't been able to check the new episodes yet, but I've heard that once again, we have a few problems when it comes to the writing- Anyways, I'm not going to waste time complaining about that, because I've got better things to do, like trying to write this alternate universe. Still, even I have to praise Juleka's official superhero persona, Tigresse Pourpurre... she looks quite beautiful, even if I still prefer her as Corbeau Noire in this AU of mine. As for her power, well, I'm not even going to compare it to Corbeau Noire's... I mean, my version can control shadows and use them, and the OG version is literally (watch out, SPOILERS from this point on and until the end of this paragraph, you have been warned)... One-Punch Man. xDDD

This chapter gave me the chance to also explore a bit more of the characters' past, without going into too much detail, or throw a flashback. I just love to do what, whenever I can. And I can't wait to get to the good part in this fic, because as much as I love to write this kind of scenes, I want to write the chapters filled with action (hope I don't take too long to do that). I've also been asked by people to develop some of the other couples, and not just MarinettexAdrien and AlyaxNino, and well, I promise that I will take that into consideration, because I also wish to develop the other couples too.

Recently, I've been commissioning a few artists, with whom I never had the pleasure to work with before... until now. One of them is Incroyabledraws. Check out her Instagram to see the beautiful group pic of the whole team, she did for me. Also, I'm working on a new project with reidochocofrito, a good friend of mine, who even shares his birthday with me, and hopefully, you'll get to see what we've been cooking up with you, really soon. Then, we already have one of my usual artists, dani_smilek, who recently finished a drawing featuring Alix and Kim as Dragonfly and Antelope, which I think you're also going to like (check her Instagram page to see it, or you can wait a little bit longer and check it on my page on Deviantart, where I will be posting it in the next couple of days).

As always, feel free to comment, fav and leave suggestions to improve this fic, and future sequels.

P.S. I would also like to thank you all of you who took the time to read the first one-shot on "Miraculous Team: One-Shots", as well as thanking you for the suggestions. I will take them all into consideration, and if the opportunity comes, try to write a one-shot based on the suggestions.
