A/N: Sorry this chapter was a bit delayed, I also had to sadly cut this chapter in half because I didn't want it to be too long. Spelling mistakes are all mine (still don't have a beta.) and I don't own any of these characters. if I did it would turn out a lot differently. Enjoy, Happy Reading : )

Chapter 2:The Start Over

Emma opened her eyes to see herself in an uncomfortable position; being crouched over an island in the middle of a kitchen she didn't know or remember, yet it was oddly familiar. (and expensive.)

She looked around, taking in her soundings finding a large cream-colored sofa facing a massive flat-screen TV, which was in front of a huge window showcasing the spectacular bright city lights and beautiful architecture next door to the building.

Towards her left was a master bathroom (she knew this since the door was weirdly open). And on her right was a bedroom. She turned back facing back towards the kitchen, where she saw a simple vanilla buttercream cupcake with a small blue candle atop its icing. The candle seemed to be blown out and upon inspection seemed to be put out less than minutes ago.

She was getting an extreme amount of déjà vu, only to be snapped out of her inner thoughts when she heard the doorbell ring. Ignoring her dilemma, for now, she walked towards the door. Finding black heels next to a body-length mirror on her way, sent her through a bigger wave of confusion as she looked up.

Taking a few more minutes to take in herself, barefoot, hot pink dress with her hair down- . . . Then it all clicked.

She went back in time.

The Look of confusion quickly dissipated while she continued on her way to the door. 'Of course, today's my birthday, The person at the door has to be Henry.' she thought. 'This is when he first found me.'

She was about to open the door, when she hesitated, hand on the handle, When she remembered how heartbroken Regina was at being rejected by Henry over, and over again all because of her. 'I won't let Regina go through the same pain as before.' she promised that to herself and opened the door.

"Are you Emma-" "Yeah kid I'm Emma Swan your mother, close the door on your way in, I just need to change before we can go '' Emma cut him off, as she walked back in. Henry himself was utterly shocked but the surprise wasn't unpleasant. He walked in as if the was house was his. So he made his way to the kitchen and helped himself to some orange juice.

Henry expected more difficulty from his mother with understanding him to be her son and with the curse, but she seems to already know.

'That went easier than I thought. . . Maybe she already knew about the curse and was just waiting for me to find her.' he thought excitedly. Although he couldn't dismiss his curiosity.

"How do you know who I am? How do you remember? How much do you know about the curse?" Henry asked a string of questions all at once, expecting to have them all answered as well.

"Ok, ok kid calm down. I know all about the curse and much more but I'll explain everything in the car, ok?" Emma said while putting on her red leather jacket. Emma grabbed her keys and walked towards the door. "Come on kid."

"Where are we going?" Henry asked puzzled, as they entered the yellow bug. "Maine. I'm taking you back to your mother." Emma said eyes on the road.

"But how- I never told you where I lived," Henry said even more uncertain. "Well, this is where I tell you everything- " Emma paused... contemplating if she should tell him or not. Only to decide that it would be better to tell Henry. Since it would only be more difficult if he suspected her and didn't know the truth. Not to mention he would have found out anyway. Most likely because Emma would have told him. (unintentionally or not.)

So she told him everything. "Kid you live in Storybrooke Maine, your mom-Regina was the Evil Queen your teacher Mary Margaret is Snow White and a coma patient named David Nolan is Prince Charming. I'm their daughter, the savior destined to break the curse your mother cast. I know this because I've already lived through it . . . You see kid... I accidentally fell through a portal... I'm from the future." She summed up.

Henry was listening to Emma intensely as she told him her story. He was quiet, for a while then something bothered him. "She was The Evil Queen?" He asked bewildered.

"Yeah, in my timeline, Regina redeemed herself for you- wait that's all you got from that?!" Emma asked irritated. Henry quickly avoid the question and asked some of his own. "Does that mean we broke the curse? How?"

"Well..." Emma hesitated because she didn't want to tell Henry he practically poisoned himself to prove the curse was real. "Yes, we did, although I don't think it will be broken the same way as in my timeline." She brushed off.

"Cool," He said 'I knew I wasn't crazy.' he thought. "So how do we defeat the Evil Queen and break the curse?" Henry asked and the was the final straw for Emma as she snapped and hit the breaks.

"Alright, Henry that's it! She may have been the Evil Queen and maybe she did cast the curse. But that is no way to treat your mother. She has done nothing but love and take care of you for the past 10 years, and if you don't start acting like it ill make sure to drop you at the mayoral manor and leave you there till you start acting like a responsible child instead of a spoiled brat, understood?"

You could see she was serious by her elaborate breathing, the red tint on her cheeks and her flared nostrils alone. Henry mumbled a soft "Yeah, sorry." as he turned facing the window wallowing in his thoughts sulking.

'Why was she defending The Evil Queen she cast the curse, the same one that took her away from her family.' Emma sat back in her seat and started driving again. 'Why was she suddenly so protective of Regina?' True she always had a sense of justice (and a little crush) but it was never this intense. But she quickly brushed it off saying it was because Regina is- or at least will redeem herself later.

They soon reached Storybrooke and Emma couldn't help but notice the clock tower still at 8:15. and just like last time she saw Archie walking with Pongo down the street, only this time she didn't need to know where Henry lived.

Emma pulled up at the mayoral mansion and they both got out. Emma saw the sheriff's car pulled up on the corner. All Emma felt when seeing that car was a spark of jealousy. But she quickly pushed it down to talk to Henry.

She crouched down to be at eye level with him. "Henry, I want you to say sorry to your mother to not sneak out again and that you'll NEVER do it again, is that clear?" Henry sighed but nodded at the command. He started walking up the pavement to the door when he stopped to look back at Emma standing next to him. He added his request. "Will you help break the curse if I treat mom the right way?" He asked.

Emma bent down again and replied "Yes. Yes, I will."
