Chapter 4:The Mirror Incident
When Emma finally snapped out of her thoughts she walked back to her bug on the pathway, turning around feeling the familiar sense on her, finding that just as last time, Henry was looking at her through the window smiling. The only difference this time was she smiled back happily.
She got into her car and mistakenly took the road to Snow's loft, before remembering Mary Margaret doesn't remember her. So she sighed deeply before turning around and drove to Granny's like second nature, fully knowing that the BB was next door (and because she didn't want to leave town and go through the accident... again).
When she arrived she walked to the door more confidently than the last time and like before, she stood there for a while before Granny and Ruby came down the stairs bickering as always. "Excuse me?, I'd like a room," Emma said calmly as Granny turned with shock towards her, making it hard for her not to smirk.
And it was like walking down memory lane, Granny asked for her name, she had the same creepy encounter with Gold and she could never forget the swan key to her small living space, of course, she did rent it for more than a week.
But she climbed the stairs and walked into the familiar one-bedroom apartment, being lazy and tired she closed and locked the door stripping off all her clothing besides her underwear and flopping onto the bed, falling asleep like switching of a nightlight.
The next day Regina got up bright and early, putting on her silk satin robe. When she was done she walked straight to Henry's rooms to wake him up, only to find out he was already wide awake reading that damn storybook while laying on his back.
Hearing her come in at the last second Henry's failed attempt to hide the book under the covers was in vain as she already saw it.
She walked up to him, stirring fear inside him about what punishment she'd give him for what he did last night, knowing how quickly her moods change. Regina simply sat down on the bed being careful to sit next to the book and she looked at him sternly but her eyes betrayed her as they showed comfort and relief he was still there.
But of course, he didn't see that because he didn't even glance her way and just stared at the ceiling like she wasn't even there and simply a figment of his imagination.
"You sent her away didn't you?" He said disappointment seeping out of his facial expression. Which only caused Regina to smirk. Chuckling softly with a small smile and shaking her head slowly she replied to Henry in a gentle tone, "No Henry, I didn't, because of you she had to travel from Boston just to drop you off at home, so... I suggested she stay at Granny's Bed and Breakfast."
At hearing his mother's words he shot up in a sitting position to look her dead in the eye to see any traces of a lie, only to find... well none. "Really?, Why?" He asked with a frown.
"Well because she's your birth mother and I only think it's fair to give you the chance to get to know her given how you found out you were adopted and because..."
A/N: Sorry to interrupt but I just need you to read something quickly to understand, the next bit is Regina's internal thoughts and it's divided into 2 halves the Evil Queen and Regina.
Regina
The Queen
That's how they look when they talk, ok you can continue : )
Regina contemplated whether or not if she should tell him the truth about the curse. 'He has to know, he will find out eventually, whether we want him to or not, and by the looks of it it may be soon if Emma is the savior, not to mention Henry will be on your side if you tell him the truth now.'
'No, you fool. Don't tell him anything it doesn't concern him, you'll only chase him away into the Swan's arms, get RID of her before she steals Henry away and weakens the curse further and ruins everything we've built. We've taken over realms, destroyed entire kingdoms, and taken countless lives without a thought, it can't be that hard to remove a Snow White offspring.'
'Come on Queenie, she's not all that bad, she even said herself, she's not here to take Henry. Besides you were also involved in looking at her... "what did you say again?"... "Ah, you found her attractive, and you said Graham was getting boring." Besides it's her choice.
And feeling in the middle with an angel on her left and a demon on her right Regina ignored both of them and went with her gut...
Henry... What did the book tell you about the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves?
Emma woke up with a start, feeling the same "oddness" as before so she shrugged on her tank top and opened the curtain with a smile knowing what would happen with today's events.
She was halfway through her cup of coffee about an hour later only to hear a knock on her door. Feeling smug and confident she approached the door knowing full well who was on the other side of the door, completely forgetting she was only dressed in her underwear and tank top, wearing no pants. (And that there was a body-length mirror behind her, giving the person standing at the door a view of her backside... along with other things.)
The second the door was opened Emma was smacked with milk chocolate eyes that tilted her world upside down. She focused on nothing else besides those whiskey eyes occasionally dropping to full red lips before traveling up again.
Regina was too busy starring back at Emma to even notice she was being stared at herself. Those thin pink lips, the toned muscular arms, and legs on full display, in front of her.
They both felt a certain pull and before they knew it they were leaning forward until something hard came between them causing them to halt.
As the realization came into play they both jumped back from one another. Emma looked like she had major sunburn on her ears and cheeks, while Regina was blushing like a schoolgirl.
'Get it together, Mills you look like a fool, you may love her but that doesn't mean- Wait... What? ' When seeing Emma Swan the word attractive came to mind... but love? She had only felt that towards 3 people in her life and they were all taken from her in one way or another. The thought left a bitter taste and feeling in her mouth.
"Love is weakness, Regina how many times must I tell you to get it through your thick skull?" Her mother's words were ringing in her ears like she was right in front of her. The thought alone sent shivers down her spine.
Luckily, Emma hadn't noticed because she too, was probably overthinking what had happened. She needed to leave and soon, all she wanted to do was drop off apples as a thank you for bringing Henry, and was something of a peace treaty.
She was going to tell Emma why she was here in the first place to explain herself, but she had to force herself to look behind her because she couldn't afford to look directly at her with her aquamarine eyes and lose her focus. So she looked behind Emma, which was even worse since she caught sight of the mirror. She wasn't wearing any pants whatsoever, exposing her lusting ass in a tight thong.
Regina was so at lost for words (which mind you, didn't happen often) she simpler shoved the basket of ripe honey crip apples into the blonde's arms, turned, and left without a word blushing furiously.
She wanted to look to the floor so badly, just to avoid Granny's knowingly smug face, but her pride wouldn't let her so she picked up her speed to a faster power walk, rolling her eyes at Granny to get to her car.
She continued with her day at the town hall ignoring everything and everyone for the rest of the day.
