CHAPTER TWO: HOMECOMING II

QUEEN MANSION.

Pulling up to the mansion reminded him exactly how it went last time and on Earth two. Part of him does wonder if one of the changes would be Malcolm waiting for him at the mansion or Walter. Everything played out the same, especially with the driver trying to grab Oliver's trunk which played out the same way as it did last time. With the doors opening and his mother talking about not changing his room a recognizable voice fills the entrance way. "Oliver, it's damn good to see you." Walter spoke as he walked up smiling.

Oliver happily extended out his hand and shook the hand of his stepfather. "Hello Walter. Seeing as you are here I assume my mother and you have.."

"We got remarried Oliver, sorry for not telling you on the car ride over I just.. I did not.."

Oliver turned to his mom and just smiled softly. "It's okay, Dad would have wanted you to be happy just like I do." Before anything else was said he spotted The Queen family house keeper and headed her way. "It's good to see you, Raisa."

"Welcome home, Mr. Oliver." She spoke with a smile not only on her lips but with happiness in her voice. Then he heard the bedroom door heading to the stairs where he saw his sister who was nineteen in this new universe, still younger than the Thea he left in the old Multiverse.

"Hey, Sis."

Thea stopped at the top of the stairway grinning ear to ear before rushing down to hug her brother tightly. "I knew it. I knew you were alive. I missed you so much."

Hugging her tightly Oliver smiled, fighting back the tears he could feel since he knew he could save Thea from all the troubles she had to go through. "You were with me the whole time."

After properly showering and walking back into room Oliver glanced at himself in the mirror as he took in his younger appearance. Looking at all the scars he had, as well as the ones he had yet to get. No stab wound from Ra's no branding as well. Most importantly, his Bratva Tattoo was not Torched by the mad man that stole Adrian Chase's name Simon Morrison. Looking at his reflection he no longer saw the man that was The Hood, or Arrow, he looked at a new and improved Green Arrow, not like the one he was a year ago. Not the one that died in Crisis as well, he was a mix of the darkness and light. He knew starting out he took as many bodies as he could, he could no longer do that, nor could he just stop killing. Men like Malcolm Merlyn, Ricardo Diaz, and Damian Darkh needed to die. Others could live unless they constantly became a problem again. It was the only way this was going to work.

As Oliver finished getting dressed for the dinner party he heard the door open. "What did I tell you? Yachts suck."

Turning to face the voice with a true smile Oliver pulled his best friend into a hug. "Tommy Merlyn."

"I missed you, buddy."

"Missed you too."

"Your mom asked me to come get you for dinner."

"We should not keep her waiting then."

As the friends made their way down to the dining room talking about sports and what he missed like Obama as president, his mind completely went into focus when he spotted Malcolm Merlyn at the bottom of the steps. "Oliver, how wonderful to have you home." Malcolm wore a smile that did show some genuine feeling to it, but that's just cause he did not know about The enemy Oliver would be to him. Putting on a fake but realistic smile thanks to his time with Ra's learning more deception and getting better with his lies he walked up shaking Malcolm's hand.

"Great to see you again, Mr. Merlyn."

"When I learned what happened I was so heartbroken. It really hit us all hard."

They talked as they reached the table. The night went about the same, the only difference was Laurel sitting next to him trying to avoid Tommy's occasional glance. As well as Malcolm. Then the moment happen with Thea asking about the island, part of him wanted to be more truthful but one problem. That problem was Malcolm Merlyn, any info about his time on the island would lead to suspicion that Oliver was the Green Arrow when he did make his debut. So instead he answered with lonely and cold, but not so much in a dark tone that scared everyone last time. "So Oliver." Malcolm began "Any plans now that you are back?"

"Actually I was hoping to start take a step in the family business, I know I just got back but I feel I could do a lot of good for the company."

Moria looked over to Malcolm who ignored her. "I think that's wonderful, Tommy has been working for Merlyn Global for about two years now, supposed to be Three but he and Thea took that rehab trip together, which I am glad he was able to help."

Noting the changes what was this new earth. Tommy more mature, Thea getting over drugs quicker, what's next Lance not hating him? "Tommy Merlyn business man?"

Both men smirked as dinner played out with a promise of the three of them going out into the city tomorrow. Oliver hoped his mother did not set up the kidnapping again.
