*Deep breath* This was in a folder I had been cleaning out when I was finishing packing for vacation. I get attached to all my writings, even the ones that I had no intention of continuing. Decided to post it for the hell of it.
As Adrien was escorted to his scheduled appointment after breakfast, Moira turned to Oliver, "Maybe we should've done the same to keep you out of the tabloids."
Oliver cringed at his past mistakes, "Maybe speedy should be under that rule."
"She's not as bas as you were at that age." she responded, both ignoring Thea's indigent 'hey' to their conversations.
Oliver watched his mother leave the room and grinned down at his sister, "Speedy."
"Ollie." she responded, "Not nice."
"I'm heading to the club."
"Whatever."
Opening the front door, Oliver found Dig waiting with the car. "Verdant."
Dig nodded before taking to the driver's seat.
"Saw the news this morning, what's the plan?"
"See if Felicity can find anything on the cameras."
"Which she'll already be doing." Dig matched Oliver's amused expression in the rearview mirror.
"Also to check on the Agreste family to see if they're in danger."
"It is strange that the kid is staying with you after the event last night in the glades." Dig mentioned as they parked and headed to the secured door. "Think they're related?"
"I'm just trying to keep my city safe." he responded as he walked down the steps. "Felicity?"
"Yeah, already looking for the Glades Savior and all I have is a black figure." she raised her arms as she continues looking at the camera feeds. "Seriously, this guy is capable of sticking to roof tops all the time."
"Do you have any angle of the guy being knocked down?"
"That's what I'm looking for and any other videos around the city and Glades."
Dig looked over her shoulder at the video of a black figure leaping above the rooftops. "That's quite impressive."
"Anything else you need?" Felicity spun around to face Oliver as he practices with his bow.
"Actually, can you dig up anything on the Agreste family, particularly Gabriel and Emilie."
She turned to another computer and immediately got results. "Gabriel Agreste is an icon in the fashion industry as an empire, whose son, Adrien, is the company's prime model. Wife and mother, Emilie, disappeared a while ago and has been declared deceased after a fruitless search." Felicity stopped reading to look back at Oliver, "What has fashion done against you?"
"Mom knows about Emilie and Gabriel in the past and she didn't react much when Adrien stated that she went missing a while ago."
"Well, Gabriel is known to be reclusive, rarely showing up at fashion shows, only at functions. When he is needed he'll be seen by tablet that his assistant has."
"Witnessed that last night."
"Emilie Agreste was an actress known for her compassion and sympathy towards others. She and Gabriel left for a trip to Tibet before returning home and left the spotlight, it was a few years later that she disappeared."
"And Adrien?"
"Famous for modeling for his father's company. Many classmates have bee reported to respond to his kindness and manners. Some speculate that he and rising designer, known as Marinette Dupain-Cheng, are dating in secret after a fan found them hiding out after his perfume as sent many of his fans trailing him for the day."
Oliver looked at the pic and noticed how Adrien cowers behind the girl.
"Sounds like Gabriel treats his son as an asset more than his kid." Dig said as he sits down next to Felicity. "Besides a questionable relationship between father and son, there's nothing for the Hood to worry about.
"Back to the stranger for last night then."
It was reaching dinner when Adrien returned to the Queen manor to find Thea looking up about Paris and the ongoing battle with Hawkmoth and his akumas.
"What are you doing?" he asked form behind her.
"Seeing if anything interesting pops up. Chat Noir's eyes are actually slitted like a cat's."
"Cat-tastic."
"The puns are a bit much though."
"Puns?" Moira walked in, "Emilie punned before, it was Gabriel who tried to be annoyed at her."
"Tried?" Adrien looked up at her, taking in the new information.
"She'd keep going, until your father gave up completely amused and unable to keep the smile from appearing."
"He was-"
"It was during video calls between his meetings and work."
"I wonder if he puns as a civillian." Thea pondered, staring back at the screen.
"You'd be surprised how much a mask can reveal when you have an image or reputation to keep up." Oliver stated, looking at Adrien as he sat at the table.
"Where'd you hear that from?" Thea rolled her eyes.
"Around."
"I can't imagine you reading or remembering anything from college."
"What were you talking about anyway?"
"The hero, Chat Noir. He puns a lot."
"A fight isn't the place to be punning when there needs to be concentration."
"I'm surprised you aren't at the club, Oliver." Moira piped up.
"We have a guest. Thought it would be best to show up."
"We should have guests more often."
Dropping into a disclosed alleyway in the city, Chat Noir could hear scuffling farther down. Thanks to his night vision, he watched as two men wrestled, one being thrown into a wall while the other launches to go for a knock out. A flash on the other side of the alleyway made the two brawlers pause as a voice ran out, "Police! Stop fighting!"
Chat stopped the two by simply tripping them with his staff, and he flinched when he heard their heads hit the ground.
The officer came up and immediately handcuffed the one guy who was still conscious while he radioed in for an ambulance to check the other. The officer then looked around to see a figure farther in the shadows. Turning on the flashlight, to scour the area he turned just in time to witness a black figure with a silver staff, launch to the top of the adjoining building. Just like a similar report from a witness that stepped forward the other night.
Chat Noir peaked over the side to watch the authority arrest the two, it seemed he managed to get away without a problem. As he ran on all fours, he got a ringing form his baton. Stopping to a halt, across the road he could see the ongoing business that was a night club called Verdant, he opened the screen to see no other than Ladybug.
"Chat, where are you?"
"Starling City, United States."
"Why?"
"Uh, my civillian side didn't have a choice or a warning of the trip." he said as something behind him startled him into turning around, of which nothing was there.
"Just be careful, and try not to get caught by the media."
"That's been the plan all along, LB."
"Good. Also, a friend of mine told my civillian self of a vigilante in that city."
"Whose this friend of yours? Maybe I know them."
"Nice try, Kitty. You know the rules." Ladybug sighed deeply. "Seriously Chat, be careful. I'd rather have my partner back in one piece."
"I will." Chat looked once more around him, "Our identities must remain a secret, even to each other." he repeated what Ladybug said about the rules. He left to return to the manor.
Not once did he act on that feeling of something behind him, or of the blinking green light that flashed beside him.
Team Arrow listened to Chat and Ladybug's conversation as Felicity kept up a live feed from a camera angle she found.
"So he's here as a civillian, but how long has he been here for?"
"Felicity can you send his image through the facial recognition along with the names of anybody whose traveled here from Paris?"
"It hurts me when you doubt me."
"He looks familiar, I just can't place it."
"Same." Dig agreed, "And they don't know each other's identities."
"Sir?" Nathalie asked after being called into his office.
"Any news about Adrien?"
"Adrien is doing as you ordered, and there have been some sighting of a black figure running along the roof tops of the city by a silver staff."
"Chat Noir has already been sighted, and after the last akuma hasn't been seen fighting along side Ladybug."
"It seems that your hunch is correct."
"Chat Noir will be easy to get once he's home. We still have to test the suspected Ladybug."
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"
"Yes. Return to Paris and invite her here under the guise of staying with the Queen family to study and observe the American fashion world."
We are not discussing this. I am not proud of this. We are definetly not discussing this.
