Another short one!

I swear, writing this story is like trying to run in quicksand, lol. I'm chasing the plot I have in my mind, but things keep getting on the way and I get distracted. But I promise - there is a reason for this chapter too, even if it doesn't seem like it now.

"Pack your bags. We're going on a trip."

Sam opened his eyes at the sound of Jackie's voice. It was a Saturday morning - one week before his graduation - and he'd been in one of those deep periods of sleep that made you drool all over the pillow. Now, as he sat up (discreetly wiping his mouth with the back of his hand) - he saw Jackie standing by his bed wearing a pair of bright red capris, a white blouse, and sunglasses, her red hair on a high ponytail, looking like a 1950's movie star.

She looked bright and fresh and beautiful as Hell - whereas Sam himself was painfully aware of his worn T-shirt and the shaggy bed head.

"On a trip?" he asked with a yawn.

"Yeah. Call it an early graduation gift."

"But… To where?"

Jackie grinned, revealing all her pearly whites. The freckles danced on her nose and cheeks in a teasing way.

"You'll see," she said. "Pack for two nights. No beach clothes! It's gonna be warm but not tropical."

"But-"

"But what? Do you have something more important to do?"

"No, but-"

"Then no buts." she waved her hand. "We're both in need of a holiday. I'll pick you up in an hour - be ready."

"But do I need a-?"

With a 'pop' she vanished in a cloud of darkness, leaving Sam sitting on his bed alone.

"- a passport?" He finished the sentence.

No answer came.

He gave a sigh and ran his fingers through his thick chestnut hair.

On a trip. Right. What had she said? Warm, but not tropical. Two nights.

Sam felt oddly anxious. Okay, not just anxious - he felt like he was about to panic. For someone who had spent all his life living on the road, moving across the U.S. on a day's notice, and being used to owning no more than what could fit in his duffel bag, he had traveled surprisingly little. It had always been Dad and his job - no holidays, no vacations. Hell, he hadn't even been to Disneyland!

"Well, it's about damn time, isn't it?" he asked as he got up and dragged the said duffel bag out of his closet.

If he was going to leave this life behind in a few weeks anyway, he might as well start living like a normal person right now. Vacations with loved ones probably were on the list of normal things to do.

Vacations that didn't include salting and burning bones or hunting werewolves.

A holiday. With Jackie. Holding hands, eating in a nice restaurant, doing some sightseeing…

… aaaand - fucking eachother sensless in a hotel room.

That last thought made a grin appear on his lips, as he started stuffing things into his bag.

They appeared into a square full of people, and the warm air hit Jackie like a memory. Nowhere in the world, the sun on her face felt the same as it did in here, nowhere else did the stones of the pavement had the same smell, the smell of summer and filth and salt and stone, of dirt and dogs and wine and sugar. It filled Jackie's heart, making it swell with memories and love, and it fluttered in her chest so that she was sure Sam would see it.

But for once Sam's eyes were not in her, they were wide and full of astonishment, as he took in the magnificent sight in front of him. The huge, ancient, oval building of stone arcades, of light marble and deep shadows that loomed over them.

"Is that…?"

"Yup."

"The real one?" his eyes widened. "The real Colosseum?"

Jackie couldn't help a smile. It was pure pleasure to see Sam like this - his cuteness made her heart explode.

"It is."

"Holy shit! We're in Rome? Are you kidding me?"

"Nope. You like it?"

"It's amazing." Sam breathed, his eyes still on the Colosseum, reaching its highs. "But why? Why here?"

"Well, Rome is the most wonderful City on Earth and one of my all-time favorite places. I think everyone should visit it. You clearly hadn't, so."

"You know, I've never been abroad at all," he said, turning to look at her. Suddenly he looked very young, so innocent. A high school kid on his first trip abroad. She felt blessed that she got to share this experience with him. At times like these, she forgot how old she was, how flawed, and felt like they were just two teenagers, just two regular people, just humans.

"I know." She took his hand, their fingers entwined. "You're so damn American it kills me."

That earned a laugh from Sam.

"Can I ask you a question," he said.

"Shoot me."

"We just appeared from the thin air in front of the Colosseum," he stated, gesturing to the hordes of tourists wandering around. The endless line to the ticket booth wasn't far away, and all around them were groups following their tour guides that walked in front of their packs like mother hens, holding up signs or umbrellas. "There are like thousands of people here. How come everyone isn't freaking out?"

Jackie grimaced. She really didn't want to explain herself, but that's what happens when you decide to go for the dramatic entrance.

"'Cause I told them not to."

Sam raised his brows.

"You can do that?"

Babe, there is a lot I can do that you know nothing about.

"I can." She admitted and immediately felt the need to clarify: "It's not telepathy, not really. I can't read people's minds or anything, don't worry. I just—"

"You just what?"

"I can make people... not see things if I want to. Or I can make them do what I want, like give me something, or things like that."

"Like 'these aren't the droids you're looking for?' stuff?"

"I'm not a Jedi if that's what you're asking." Jackie rolled her eyes.

"You could be, though." Said Sam with a shrug - and then gave her a smile that cut right through Jackie's heart.

She would never get used to the way he accepted her. That no matter what shit she told him, he just took it in, his faith in her never faltering.

But calling her a Jedi?

More like a sith, she thought but didn't say that out loud. Still - even now, even under the blazing sun of the Eternal City, the calling of the dark side was still there, as it always was. She knew the dark alleys of this town, the creatures that lived there. The shadows were never far away, the night would always fall and she would always have that restless need for more in her veins.

Only for Sam, was she willing to try and silence that nagging voice in her head. If he wanted her to be a fucking Jedi, by God - she would do it.

"Come on," she said. "Let's get to the hotel."

"Oh, you got a car, or—?"

Jackie couldn't help a grin. "Sweetie, this is Europe. People walk."

And they walked.

Not just to the hotel - that wasn't actually far away, it was just a couple of blocks from the Colosseum, in one of those narrow, ancient cobblestone streets full of cafés, souvenir shops, and restaurants. They walked to every damn corner of this town, or so it felt.

Jacki had decided they needed to go full-on tourist mode, and who was Sam to argue. From the hotel they had walked to the Pantheon (which had totally blown Sam away), then to the Forum Romanum (where they spent the whole afternoon walking in the ruins), and finally back to their hotel. Jackie had used her special gift to sneak them past the seemingly endless lines of tourists (which had made Sam feel a bit guilty, but he hadn't objected), but still their activities had taken them most of the day. The sun was setting by the time they returned to the hotel, and Sam was painfully aware of the fact that he was covered in sweat and dirt, and probably had sunburns on his face.

"Any more plans for the day?" he asked, as he threw himself to the bed, his long legs dangling off the edge. Gods, he had never walked this much in his life! He was in good shape, but damn, his feet and calves were burning.

"Tired?" asked Jackie with a smirk. She started undressing her blouse, standing by the bed - and as that piece of clothing fell to the floor, revealing Jackie's white, lace bra and her perky boobs, Sam felt a new surge of energy rushing through his system.

"Not too tired," he said and sat up.

As Jackie removed the bra, Sam's mouth went dry.

"Good," Jackie said, as her fingers moved to the button of her pants, a teasing grin playing on her lips.

Watching how she pushed down the capris, revealing her tiny panties, the smooth skin of her lower abdomen, was like seeing a slice of Heaven. Sam had sudden difficulties in swallowing, as the capris went down - the desire to taste her skin, to bury his face into the softness between her thighs almost overtook him.

"'Come here, hon." he managed, his voice thick and low in his ears.

"Oh, I'd love to. But we still have plans," she said and started walking towards the bathroom. "And I need a shower."

Sam made a groan and fell back on the bed on his back.

"Seriously?"

"Oh yes. More walking! You're gonna love it." Jackie said and shut the bathroom door. He heard the shower turn on, and on his closed eyelids he could all too clearly see Jackie stepping under the running water, naked, the streams running down her body, on her breasts, her hips, between her legs-

Christ - Sam was sure he was gonna burst!

The agonizing pressure in his pants was going to drive him mad if he didn't get to touch her soon, if he didn't get to kiss her neck, to lick off that thin sheer of salt on her skin, if he didn't get to taste the slick insides of her mouth as he pushed her against the tiled wall of the shower under the steaming hot water-

His hand traveled to his stomach, and downwards, to the bulge in his jeans-

"You want to join me?"

Sam gasped and sat up, his cheeks burning.

Jackie was peaking out of the bathroom, laughter in her eyes, the wet strands of her hair falling to the tanned skin of her shoulders.

"Thought you'd never ask," Sam replied, and was on his feet in a heartbeat.

His T-shirt flew to the corner and his jeans to the floor as he closed the distance between them. The yelp she made as he pushed her into the bathroom and against the wall under the water, was a Hell of a turn-on. Crushing his mouth on hers, he knew that whatever she had planned for tonight, it would have to wait.

He was gonna take his time with her.

Rome, yay!

One of my favorite places on Earth. If you haven't been there, go there. Rome is like no place else, and I just LOVE it. I needed Jackie to take Sam on a trip (for reasons that will be revealed in the next chapter), so where else would I take them if not to my favorite city?

Please guys, leave a comment - no matter how short. They really help me, they point to me things that I otherwise wouldn't notice and overall help with the writing.
