Chapter 1
'How boring…I wish that Mom and Dad came here to play with me.', thought a frowning young boy with messy black hair and golden eyes while walking around through a popular park of Tokai.
The park in question wasn't very far away from his house, so he had asked to his parents if they could go there since it was Sunday. Unfortunately, they couldn't as they were busy with taking care of his little sister Raiha, who was still only 5 years old.
The boy had suggested to his parents to go all together to the park, but his mother Shizuku had said no as she wanted to stay at home with Raiha. And his father Isanari replied in the same way.
So now here was the golden eyes boy taking a seat on a bench while sighing. Being alone in the park was really boring him.
"Umm, e-excuse me?", suddenly called for him a sweet voice.
The boy opened his eyes and looked at his right to see a little girl in a white dress with long reddish/pinkish hair and ocean blue eyes looking at him with a blush on her face.
"S-so cute…", he mumbled softly, causing the girl to blush deeper as she heard him.
Noticing what he said, the boy got nervous and said, "Ah! S-sorry, that escaped from my mouth. W-what did you need?"
The blushing girl got nervous as well and replied, "I-I g-got s-separated from my sisters while playing with them. C-could you help me to find them, please?"
Upon receiving her reply, the boy thought a bit about how answering, but as he wasn't busy and wanted to play with someone too instead of being alone, he smiled and said, "Sure, I will help you without any problem! Also, my name's Uesugi Fuutarou. Feel free to call me Fuutarou ."
Such reply made the blushing girl smile and reply, "R-really?! T-thank you, Fuutarou-kun. My name's I-Itsuki instead."
"Nice to meet you, Itsuki. Let's go to find your sisters and we can play all together maybe haha.", told her Fuutarou with a grin while taking her hand.
This made Itsuki blush as it was the first time that a boy held her hand, but his words and his smile made her smile as well and nod gladly to him. So they started to walk together to find her sisters, talking about each other to get acquainted better.
"You and your sisters are quintuplets?!", asked a stunned Fuutarou to Itsuki.
"Hehe, yeah. My sisters and I are identical to each other.", she replied, giggling.
"Wow, that's incredible. That means that you're all beautiful in the same way!", he said with nonchalance before blushing for his direct compliment.
"B-B-Beautiful? You f-find me beautiful, Fuutarou-kun?", she asked with a huge blush.
"W-well, I'd lie if I said no.", he said while scratching one of his red cheeks, making Itsuki hold his hand tighter.
'H-he's so nice with me that I like holding hands together.', thought the young girl, smiling happily.
But suddenly, the two of them heard a loud screamin the distance that seemed to belong to a little girl asking for help. Feeling that someone was in danger, Fuutarou started to run with Itsuki to find the screaming person by following the direction from which the sound came.
They ran for a while until they found 4 girls near a tree with the same hair and eyes of Itsuki being surrounded by some boys that seemed to not have good intentions.
"You 4 have to give us 700 yen if you want us to leave you alone.", said one of the boys.
"W-we don't have to pay you! Leave us alone, idiot!", replied one of the girls, looking at him with a glare.
"Don't call me idiot!", he replied while trying to throw a punch against her that made her close her eyes in fear. And then there was the sound of a fist hitting someone accompanied by that a groan of pain.
The girl opened her eyes, and just like the other 3 and Itsuki, she saw a young boy with black hair and golden eyes with his fist raised forward while his other hand was holding the girl.
Such sight and the fact that he was holding her made the girl blush, but she got redder when Fuutarou said, "Oi jackass, how dare you to try to hurt a girl like that, huh?!"
Such sentence made also Itsuki and the other 3 girls blush, seeing the young boy as a brave hero.
The boy who got punched got up and glared at Fuutarou, "You'll pay for punching me! Let'a attack him, guys!"
He got up and the other 3 boys rushed towards him to attack him all together, so Fuutarou dodged a fist while leaving the girl next to her sisters. One of the boys tried to attack him from behind, but without turning around, Fuutarou hit him with his elbow in the gut, making him fall and nurse his stomach.
The other idiots were scared of how Fuutarou put one of them K.O., still they tried to attack him but this time in unison. But this proved useless as Fuutarou blocked their fists and then kicked one of them to make him fall and punched the face of the other one.
"Gaaah!", shouted the punched boy, falling on the ground and starting to nurse his face.
"3 of you are down. Do you want me to send you to the hospital or what? Get lost!", shouted Fuutarou to the first guy he punched, glaring at him fiercely.
Feeling scared as hell under those ferocious golden eyes, the jackass helped the boy who got hit in the gut and ran away together the other 2 to avoid enraging Fuutarou even more.
After they left, Fuutarou sighed and turned around to look at Itsuki and her sisters. "Are you 4 ok? I and your sister Itsuki heard one of you screaming for help so we came here as fast as possible."
The 5 girls blushed upon hearing those words from the boy who just saved them from those bullies, and one of them walked towards him and asked him, "T-thank you for saving me e-earlier. W-w-what is your name?"
"My name's Uesugi Fuutarou. Just like I told Itsuki, feel free to call me Fuutarou. And yours?"
"My name's Nino! N-Nice to meet you, Fuu-kun!", she happily told him with a smile while kissing him on the cheek.
"Ehhh?! W-why did you kiss me? And what is with that Fuu-kun?", he asked her, touching the cheek she kissed.
"B-because you're my hero and Fuu-kun is a nickname for you hehe.", she told him, giggling and hugging him.
"You meant that Fuutarou-kun is our hero, Nino. Nice to meet you, Fuutarou-kun. My name's Ichika.", said another one of the quintuplets while walking towards him.
"M-my name's M-M-Miku. T-thank you for helping us, Fuutarou.", told him another one but more shyly.
"I'm Yotsuba! Thank you as well, Fuutarou-kun!", told him the fourth one cheerfully.
"F-Fuutarou-kun, thank you for protecting us. Y-you're our hero indeed.", told him the last one who hugged him as well.
"Y-you're welcome, g-girls. I j-just did what I felt was right. Also, you're really are quintuplets. You 5 are all so beautiful!", he said with a blush and a grin, causing them to blush as well.
"Ara ara, y-you're so straightforward with your compliments, Fuutarou-kun. Thank you."
"Fuu-kun, play with us please!", told him Nino who was still clinging on him.
"I told Itsuki that I would play with all of you after helping her to find you. So yeah let's go to play together.", he replied, making the quints giggle while walking with him toward the park's swings.
Unbeknownst to them, another person was watching them from the distance, fixing his gaze on the young boy in particular. This person was a young man with long lavender hair and 2 neons on his forehead, and had observed the whole fight between Fuutarou and the bullies.
'That boy seems to have the right potential to become one of us. Curious how I found him by simply walking around here. I will continue to observe him meanwhile.', thought the man while disappearing without leaving traces behind.
Following his brave action to save the quints, Fuutarou was now playing together the 5 sisters by going on the swings, sliding down on the slide or playing fetch. During this, he and the girls got to know each other better, finding out that they lived in the same neighborhood and talking about their parents.
To the boy's surprise, the quints father was a famous doctor named Nakano Maruo and their mother was a teacher , Rena, who taught in a high school called Asahiyama. The girls instead were amazed by knowing that Fuutarou's parents owned a bakery and he had also a little sister, with Itsuki asking him if they could come to visit right now to eat some delicious bread.
"Hehe, Itsuki is always a glutton! You like eating too much everytime.", said Yotsuba while being pushed on the swing by Fuutarou.
"Mouu, but I l-like eating some good food! Fuutarou-kun even said that I can gladly try the bread of his mother!", said instead Itsuki with a pout.
"I don't see anything wrong with liking eating. Itsuki has just to avoid to get fat haha.", said Fuutarou with a chuckle.
"Fuutarou-kun, you meanie!", said the pouting girl while her sisters giggled.
"Fuu-kun, let's go on the slide together!", suddenly said Nino while clinging on his arm.
"N-no, come with me on the spinning circle, Fuutarou.", said Miku while hugging his other arm.
"Fuutarou-kun, let's go to make a sand castle hehe.", said instead Ichika, hugging him from behind with her arms around his neck.
The boy blushed for being hugged by 3 cute girls like that, and when also Yotsuba and Itsuki joined the group hug, he got redder.
'I-I don't know if feeling lucky or troubled. Being hugged by quintuplets that I can't distinguish perfectly if not for how they call me or their behaviors is something new for me.', he thought, remembering also how one of them kissed him on the cheek after he saved them. He always heard from Isanari that he would be popular with girls like the middle aged man was in his high school years, but maybe he was already pretty popular.
Some hours of playing together in the park, the group decided to go back to their houses, and since they lived in the same neighborhood, they all walked together towards there with the quints clinging on Fuutarou.
So they walked for a while until they reached their neighborhood and the bakery that Fuutarou's parents owned. And surprisingly, the quints' house was right in front of said bakery, looking just like the others in the neighborhood and not gaudy or something else.
"Y-your house was right in front of mine? That's really surprising.", said Fuutarou with a stunned expression.
"That's wonderful! We can go to school all together, Fuutarou-kun!", exclaimed a happy Yotsuba, giving him a nice hug.
"Oh, my son is surrounded by 5 girls? Haha, I knew you were like me, Fuutarou.", suddenly said a voice from behind them.
Fuutarou and the quints turned around to see in front of his house a muscular blond man with brown eyes and grin on his face.
"Dad!", said the young boy, smiling while Isanari walked towards him to mess his hair playfully.
"It looks like you made friends with 5 cute girls, Fuutarou. Say, who's your girlfriend between them?", asked Isanari, making all the kids blush.
"I-It's not like that! I met them just today!", exclaimed a flustered Fuutarou, making Isanari chuckle.
"Hahaha, you're red as a tomato! That means you like one of them. Or maybe each one."
"Fuu-chan!/Onii-chan!", exclaimed 2 new feminine voices from behind Isanari.
The golden eyes boy and the quints then saw a beautiful woman with short black hair and blue eyes holding her arms a little blackhaired girl with a ribbon used to tie her ponytail.
The little girl got down from the woman 's arms and ran to Fuutarou to hug him.
"Welcome back, Onii-chan!", she happily told him, making him smile while he patted her head.
"I'm home, Raiha, Mom.", he said, looking at the smiling woman that caressed his head meanwhile.
The woman also noticed the presence rod five identical redhaired girls right behind her son. "Ara, you made new friends with 5 adorable girls? Also, now that I look at you 5, you're Rena-sensei's daughters.", she said, shocking Fuutarou and the quints.
"Y-you know Mama?", asked one of the girls.
"Hehe, yes. Rena-sensei was my and Isanari's teacher at Asahiyama. And your father is Maruo-kun, right?"
Again surprised, the 5 sisters simply nodded, making both Fuutarou's parents smile.
"Hahaha, you made friends with the daughters of our ex classmate and our ex teacher, Fuutarou. Good move!", said Isanari with a thumbs-up.
"I-I'm getting really confused right now. Can you explain us everything while we eat, Dad, Mom?", asked Fuutarou, with his belly grumbling, followed also by that of the quints that blushed.
Chuckling, his parents nodded and invited the quints as well to eat, who gladly accepted as they could pass more time with Fuutarou like this and find out more about their parents' past. So they entered inside the bakery and started to eat the nice dinner that Shizuku had prepared in advance; she knew that her son would be hungry, and since she made a lot of food, there was enough for everyone.
During the dinner, Isanari and Shizuku told the kids how they along Maruo were classmates at Asahiyama with Rena as their homeroom teacher. They said that the famous doctor had fallen in love with the beautiful woman, and also she had some feelings for him. So Fuutarou's parents observed how love blossomed between Maruo and Rena, with Maruo marrying her after he finished high school.
They even told them about the nice wedding that the couple had and how they were happy for Maruo and Rena when they found out that they had 5 beautiful quintuplets.
"But how did you never tell me that your friends and the girls lived in front of us, Mom?", asked Fuutarou to his mother while eating some udon with curry.
"Because you never asked, Fuu-chan. You thought more about playing with your friends, especially with other girls at school. I remember when one of your female classmates kissed you on the cheek fufu."
"W-what?!", shouted the quints in unison, pouting too.
"Hehe, I was kidding. It looks that you 5 like my dear son.", said the giggling woman, making her son and the girls blush embarassed.
"Onii-chan and the big sisters are all red!", said Raiha, noticing Fuutarou's red face while Isanari and Shizuku chuckled, finding cute how flustered their son and the quints were.
Their nice dinner continued for a hour until it was time to go home. They greeted every member of the Uesugi family before that, especially Fuutarou and Raiha with a big hug. But they also told Fuutarou that they wanted to go to school together from now on, which he gladly accepted, even if it was then a further reason for his parents to tease him more.
Once they greeted the Nakano sisters went back to their home, where they were greeted by a beautiful woman with mid-long red hair and ocean blue eyes with a big hug.
"Welcome back, girls. Have you had fun while playing in the park?", asked them Rena.
"About this, we have lots to tell you, Mom. Also, we made a new friend!", replied Itsuki with a big smile.
"Oh, now I'm curious. But have you had dinner already?"
"Yes, Mama! We ate together Fuutarou-kun's family!", said Yotsuba.
"Fuutarou-kun? Oh, you made friends with Isanari-kun's and Shizuku-San's first child. Now you made me even more curious. Let's talk while playing a board game?"
"Yes, Mama/Mom!", the quints said in unison while going to search for a board game.
And so the teacher was told everything that happened to the quints while they were in the park, in particular the part where Fuutarou came to save them and made the bullies run away after beating them up.
At hearing all what her daughters said, Rena frowned and wanted to slap those bullies that tried to hurt the girls, but the fact that Fuutarou rescued them and also made friends with them made her smile.
She was also glad to hear that her daughters would go to school together their new friend, and she looked forward to meet the boy to thank him wholeheartedly.
'Hehe, maybe Maruo-kun will be happy as well to meet Fuutarou-kun. Even if he and Isanari-kun have always been like cat and dog, I don't think he'd dislike the idea of meeting our daughters' new friend.', thought Rena, hoping that her husband accepted to meet Fuutarou and that he didn't scare with that stoic face that he always had.
Said doctor was in fact still working at the hospital as he had various patients to take care, so he would come back to home at night.
Rena was also aware that he would eat something like ramen before coming home, so she was waiting only for her daughters to make dinner. But since they ate at the Uesugi household, the young woman decided to eat some rice with curry, with a second portion for Itsuki.
"Thank you, Mom!", replied the young hir while eating.
"Itsuki-chan, have you and your sisters a little crush on Fuutarou-kun?"
That question made each quint blush. "Umm, w-well, F-Fuutarou is v-very cool.", said a flushed Miku.
"F-Fuu-kun is like a knight in shining armor. He also liked t-that I kissed him on the cheek.", said instead a giggling Nino.
"You kissed him? Hehe, seems that you like him very much, Nino-chan.", said Rena, smiling.
And also the other quints said what they thought of the young boy, making their mother look more forward to meet this great savior that her daughters like already so much.
Some hours later it was night, and in the Uesugi household Shizuku was cleaning some angles of the bakery to be ready to open for the day after.
'Hehe, to think that Fuu-chan made friends with Rena-sensei's daughters…And they seem to like him too. My son will be a ladies man in the future like this.', she thought, giggling at the thought of Fuutarou having various girls interested in him.
But while she was thinking about this, she didn't notice an eerie shadow on the cellar of the bakery, which seemed to have a pair of demonic orange eyes that were glaring at Shizuku.
Such shadow got down from the cellar, making enough noise to make Shizuku turn around and see something she had never seen: a strange creature with black skin, horns and orange eyes was in front of her with a sinister grin on its face.
Before she could even scream for help, the creature slashed her abdomen with what seemed to be razor claws, making her bleed instantly and fall on the ground.
"Hahahaha, you didn't even notice any presence. You humans are so easy to kill by surprise.", said the monster while laughing haughtily, showing his shark's like teeth.
Shizuku could only stare in horror at that monster, incapable of speaking a word as the blood that she was coughing empeded it. Her wound continued also to bleed while she felt like life was leaving her body.
'I-Isanari…F-Fuu-chan…R-Raiha-chan…Girls.', were her last thoughts while also the life in her eyes disappeared with her heart stopping to beat because of the huge loss of blood.
Once that she was dead, the creature had an evil grin, satisfied with the murder he just committed.
"You know, I will have pity for your stupid family and let them mourn your death. It will be fantastic seeing their tears of sadness and pain.", said the monster, laughing haughtily again before leaving the bakery after the atrocity he just did .
Now the creature was walking for the road of the neighborhood while still grinning and with its claws still covered in blood. It was satisfied with the face contorted in pain of the poor woman while the flame of life in her body kept becoming little and little to disappear completely. It was something that the creature enjoyed in its victims.
"Hahahaha, humans are so easy to kill! I can't wait to murder others!", it exclaimed with again that evil laugh.
But suddenly, he felt something strange in its surroundings; it felt like a great amount of power was near to him. But it wasn't the same type of power that he was familiar with; it was something completely different.
'W-what the hell?! Where is this power coming from?', it thought while looking around everywhere to find whoever was emanating that power. And it got his answer when a golden aura appeared in front of and a little far away from it.
It was confused by the unfamiliar golden aura that he was seeing, but then it noticed the silhouette of someone emerging from said aura.
The figure walked enough to make the monster widen its eyes: it was a young man with long lavender hair wearing what seemed to be a golden armor with particular horns on the shoulders and a white mantle too.
Upon seeing that person, the creature scowled at him and said, "Who the hell are you?!"
The young man kept a calm face, but answered with a tone full of resentment , "You demon just murdered a poor person for your horrible enjoyment. And it's my duty as a Saint to get rid of you."
"W-w-what?! A S-S-Saint?!", asked the one terrified demon, whose horror increased when the young man raised his right arm while his golden aura got more intense.
"This is for all the lifes you took away. Stardust Revolution!", shouted the golden warrior while he lowered his arm, creating a series of rays of light that attacked the creature, hitting his body repetitive and damaging it while it screamed out of pain.
The attack was so fast that the rays were so many to be impossible to count, and when they ended to hit, the mortally wounded and bleeding body of the creature fell on the ground, starting also to slowly become ashes that the wind flew away.
Once the warrior saw that, his face remained calm while inside he felt at fault for what happened to the creature's victim.
'If only I capted the presence of that demon way earlier, I may have succeeded to save that boy's mother. I'm really sorry, Fuutarou. You and your family have to mourn your mother's death right after you made friends with those girls. But don't worry, I will give you the possibility to avenge her and to avoid that something like this happens to other innocents. After all, I know you have the potential to do it.', thought the young man, ashamed of his mistake but confident that the boy would have now another reason to develop such potential.
Saying mentally sorry to Fuutarou and his family, the golden warrior disappeared like he teleported in another place, with his golden aura stopping so to illuminate the darkness of the night.
After this, he was now back in his home: a huge tower with at least 4 or 5 floors. Precisely, he was inside a room where there was a huge grey box with various drawings on it. But only one could take most of the attention of the human's eye: a drawing of a bird with three tails that was spreading its wings.
'I'm certain that after I will have you trained for well, you will be worthy of it.' , thought the warrior while looking at the box, his mind thinking again about the boy who he decided to take under his wing to make him like him. A Saint.

Oho, what's this? A new story but this time a crossover? Sure it is, everyone! Since A Better Man is reaching its end (it needs still 8 chapters), I decided to publish the first chapter of this QQxSaint Seiya crossover idea that I had in mind since a while.
As you can see, Fuutarou met all the quints by first meeting Itsuki and helping her to find her sisters to then save them by some bullies. This heroic action made all of them blush and they made friends with him instantly. He also made them know his family, and it seems that both his parents and the quints' knew each other since high school. And on top of that, the Nakano household is right in front of the Uesugi one.
Still, and I'm sorry for that, such happiness because of this meeting and all didn't last so long as an evil demonic creature has murdered Shizuku, and even if the man who observed Fuutarou fighting the bullies in the park avenged her by killing it, this would affect a lot both the Uesugis and the Nakanos. But Shizuku's death will be a main factor for what Fuutarou will do in next chapter.
Also, I don't know if a lot of you are familiar with Saint Seiya, so I suggest you to search for it to understand its dynamics. I just tell you in advance that I won't follow the same thematic of that manga as I won't introduce the figure of gods for example.
