"So, you know how we plan on applying to Beacon this year?"

"Hmmm."

"I kind of told Rosaria about our plans."

"Let me guess, she's been pissed off ever since."

"How'd you know?"

Coal gave the surprised Azure a deadpan stare.

"With subpar grades like hers? That girl has a snowball's chance in hell of getting into Beacon." Coal stated what he believed to be the obvious. "It's only natural that she'd be angry about the whole thing."

"Yeahhh, I'm still not following." Azure scratched the back of his messy blond hair. "From what I heard Beacon students are allowed to visit the city after classes and during the weekend so even if she doesn't make the cut, we'd still be able to see each other. What's there to be mad about?"

"She won't be able to keep on eye on you bozo; that's the problem." Coal shook his head. Was azure really that unaware of his own status? "She probably thinks you'll cheat on her and with your track record who could blame her."

"What I would never-" Coal shut him up with a glare. "-okay, okay. So I've made a few mistakes in the past; but, it's not like I go around looking for people to cheat on her with. Besides I'll have you there to keep me in line."

"As if." Coal gave a snort. "Your relationship isn't any of my business. If you decide to go around being a man-whore in your free time I'm not going to stop you and I most certainly won't be breaking the news to Rosaria."

"Wow that's real cold man."

"If I tried to stop you, you'd just bitch at me about cock blocking you the whole time."

"….true."

Coal rolled his eyes before refocusing his attention to the task at hand. With precision that would've made even the most renown surgeon's green with envy, the teen removed a bullet from Azure's shoulder. A little field trip gone wrong through the wrong neighborhood had ended with some wannabe gangsters firing at them. They handled the situation easily enough though, as usual, Azure was too reckless for his own good.

"To try and cheer her up, I was thinking about taking her out on a date tonight." Azure revealed so casually that most would have found it hard to believe that a bullet had just been removed from his body. It was thanks to his semblance and repeated beat downs from Yang that his pain tolerance had grown to such lengths. "Catch a movie, hit a restaurant, and maybe end the night at my place."

"Sounds like a solid plan." Coal commented off handedly, dumping the bullet into a tray beside him and getting to work on covering the wound. He had long since learned that stitching up Azure was a waste of time. All Coal had to do was make sure his friend didn't bleed out and the holes would eventually close on their own. "It also sounds like it has jack shit to do with me."

"Well, ya see. I was thinking maybe I could sorta, kinda, borrow your car?" Azure had to hold back a grunt when Coal suddenly started wrapping the roll of gauze with an unnecessary amount of force. "Hey, watch it! I might be a fast healer but this shit still hurts."

"Sorry about that. I thought I heard you say something stupid."

"Come on mannnn! Don't be like that. I promise I'll have it back to you Sunday morning." Azure begged. "You know how pathetic I'd look if she had to drive her car to pick me up for a date I planned? What kind of apology is that?"

"I missed the part where that's my problem."

"Don't do this to me bro. Don't our friendship mean anything to you?" Coal sighed as he finished up with Azure's wound.

"My dust tank don't run on friendship." Coal gave Azure a pat on the shoulder as he spoke. "This the last time I'm going to let you use my car for free. Next time I'm charging you for every bit of dust you use. That junk is getting more expensive with all the robberies that's been going on lately."

"You sure you aren't just being cheap?"

"Ask me that dumbass question when you're paying over eight lien for barely anything." Coal began mostly grumbling to himself.

"Anyways thanks man, I promise you won't regret this."

Long story short, Coal ended up regretting it.

Just a little short thing I made because me and my friends all thought it would be a freaking pain to own a car with all the dust robberies that Roman was doing in the show.

Since I'm pretty sure most tech runs on dust in some way I can only imagine them gas prices lol.
