Spoilers for season 4 episodes: Wishmaker, Lies, Sole Crusher and Queen Banana

Ladybug and Cat Noir had finished off an akuma. This one was weird, this guy wanted to make the world like living in Inception. Buildings were turning, people kept falling into the sky, it was one of the strangest ones. Luckily, Viperion was easily accessible, so Ladybug grabbed Luka and privately gave him the snake miraculous. Luka, now knowing both Marinette and Adrien's identity, quickly accepted the call to help. With his help, Luka had to reset around 15 times before the akuma was defeated.

After dealing with the akuma, Adrien went home for his weekly watch of Solitude, after the Gorizilla incident, his father had let him keep the dvd in his room. Gabriel wasn't stupid, he wasn't the only one who had grief over Emilie's "death". Somewhere in the middle of the movie when Emilie was talking to her movie friend, Adrien noticed something that he never saw in the movie. There was an extra in the background, she looked very familiar, younger than he would know her today, but it clearly was his fencing partner Kagami.

Adrien was very confused, but he wanted answers. Next lesson, he will talk to Kagami asking about her involvement in the movie. He just hoped the conversation wasn't going to be awkward, which was going to be asking a lot since they were ex-boyfriends and girlfriends.

"Hey Kagami…" Adrien started

" *sigh* If it's love advice you're looking for again, you won't get any." Adrien felt a pang of hurt from that. He totally messed up.

"It.. it's not anything about love actually. Well, I was watching my favorite movie, the one my mom starred in, you know… Solitude." Kagami jumped a bit at the mention of the name. She never thought she would be hearing that name again.

"What… what about it?"

"I noticed that you were an extra. Which is weird that I noticed it only now considering I watch it a lot, but I was wondering about your involvement. I thought I knew everything about the movie, so noticing this is a bit world breaking you know."

Kagami was tense for a few seconds before deflating, signifying that she had given in.

"My mother was approached by a world travelling designer, I believe it was Chloe's mom, the Style Queen. She was asking for actors for the movie. She approached us because she heard that we were a highly established family in Japan, and having someone in our family would give the movie high reviews in Japan. But I could tell that she didn't want to be there. I believe I heard the words "ridiculous, utterly ridiculous." Nice to see Chloe took after her mother. That's all I know. I hope that was helpful."

Adrien was shook, now he not only knows that Kagami was involved in the movie, but Audrey Bourgeois approaching them to appear in the movie seemed too out of character for her. He wants to get more answers. In order to do that though he would have to go to the Bourgeois hotel. Which he didn't want to do since that is where Chloe lives and he doesn't really want to do anything with her right now. Chloe had gone WAY in the deep end, she was starting to become better, but something happened with her and M'lady making her ally with Hawkmoth, revealing all of the temporary holders to Hawkmoth. Since then, she had gotten even worse than before, she had sabotaged their homemade movie, made her half sister Zoe not welcome to Paris, and according to Zoe almost kicked her out of Paris because she was not on her side. And who knows what horrible things Chloe might have made Sabrina do at the hotel. Okay, now he was off topic, he didn't want to go to the Bourgeois hotel anytime soon.

The next day, Adrien was in class completely unfocused from the lecture Ms. Bustier was giving. Nino noticed this and tried to call out to Adrien, but nothing happened.

"Earth to Adrien." Nino calls to Adrien

"...now you all most likely know shakespeare from Romeo and…" Ms. Bustier would have continued if Nino hadn't interrupted again.

"Adrien!"

"Nino, calm down. Adrien is something bothering you?" Adrien suddenly snapped back to reality

"Oh, sorry. No, everything's fine."

Ms. Bustier didn't believe him so she wrote a note saying: We'll talk after class. Behind Adrien, Marinette felt worried for Adrien, something must really be bothering him that he wasn't focusing. Usually he was, but when he wasn't he usually was able to answer any questions Ms. Bustier had for him. This was worrying Marinette so much that she'll talk to him on break.

After class ended and almost everyone filed out, Marinette started talking to Adrien.

"Are you alright Adrien? You seem so preoccupied in class." Ms. Bustier walked up to Adrien.

"Why don't you tell me what's wrong?" Adrien gave in and opened up again.

"Well, I was watching the movie Solitude, you remember it right Marinette?" Marinette nods, how could she forget the day hundreds of people ran after her and Adrien throughout Paris?

"I noticed my fencing partner Kagami was actually an extra in the movie, I asked her about it and she told me that Audrey Bourgeois had reached out to her family for an actor in the movie. Now I'm feeling like there's more behind the production of the movie. What happened? Who else was involved if Kagami was involved? There's a lot I don't know and not much I can do to figure it out." Marinette was pretty shocked at that, a friend was involved in a very impactful movie to another friend and didn't tell him. "Well… that's pretty shocking, but it's not unnatural to feel in the dark. I actually have a friend who really doesn't like that." Marinette giggled at Chat.

"I'm sure that whatever happened during the production that you needed to know you would already know from your father." Adrien thought that was pretty sound. " *nodding* Yeah. *her words sink in* Wait, my father was involved in the movie? I know my mother was involved, but my father too?" Ms. Bustier grimaced. Dangit Gabriel, now I'm in the hot seat

"Uh, well I was good friends with your mother actually. Naturally, I was devastated by the news of her disappearance, then assumed death, but yeah. She invited me on the set to see it all happen. Your father was actually the main designer for the costumes." With another bombshell, Adrien was shocked once again. Marinette was also amazed. This was like a full on mystery. Adrien will have to talk to his father tonight.
