In the Burrow
Bunnyx was chilling on a summer chair and drinking lemonade, when all of a sudden different versions of the heroes came tumbling in.
S1 Ladybug, Aspik, Chat Blanc, and Hawkmoth revealed Ladybug + Chat Noir (Wishmaker) tumble in fighting each other. More specifically, Chat Blanc.
"Okay, break it up!" Bunnyx tries to fix the situation but is suddenly pushed to the other side of the burrow, hitting the timeline of Chat Blanc and accidentally sending the events of it to the memory of Prime Ladybug.
Prime Ladybug
Mari sleeptalks
"Ahh Adrien you silly dork, our kiss at the Trocadero was great." Marinette jumps up in her bed.
"What? I don't remember kissing Adrien at the Trocadero." Mari almost yells
"Marinette, what's going on?" Tikki says sleepily.
Suddenly a voice from above is heard
The Sandboy just checked in. Now Nightmares can begin. Wow! What a powerful nightmare. Let's involve the ones closest to her to watch it.
The kid who was Sandboy was teased and mocked by one of his closest friends after having a nightmare revealed to them. Now he was out revealing nightmares to everyone.
Mari blinked and all of a sudden she was in a white void, not unlike Bunnyx's burrow, but she found herself with Alya, Nino, Adrien and Chloe.
"What happened?!" Mari asks
Alya and the others wake up in response to Mari's almost shriek.
"Woah, where are we?" Adrien asks
"This looks like Bunnyx's burrow." Alya notices
"Wait, Adrien, isn't that you with Plagg?" Nino asks him
"You look happy Adrien." Chloe points out.
"Yeah." Adrien says. Marinette looks down to a remote in her lap. "A remote." Mari acknowledges
"So, it must be a video. Play it Marinette." Alya says
Mari hits play and the picture starts moving
"Why would Ladybug leave me a gift from Marinette? With a heart embroidered on it?"
"Wait, this was St. Athanasius Day." Marinette points out
"Uh well, it's obvious, because Marinette asked her to." Plagg tells Adrien
"I don't remember this. *he realizes something* Wait, don't tell me this is Chat Blanc again." Adrien comes to the conclusion
"I thought the nightmare was over. Wait, nightmare. Sandboy is back, we gotta get back." Mari realizes
"Plagg, Claws Out! Cataclysm!" Adrien tries to break where they are, but there seemingly is no walls.
"What the-"
Nino and Chloe look at eachother confused. Chat Blanc? Adrien was akumatized?
"Why didn't Cataclysm work?" Chat asked
"No walls." Alya says
"Perhaps- perhaps we have to watch the whole thing to get out." Mari thinks of a way
"It's not too far-fetched." Alya shrugs
Mari starts the video again
"Or because...Ladybug and Marinette... are the same person!"
"Wow sunshine child guess you're not too oblivious after all."
"Hey!"
"You're my friend, and I'd never wanna lie to a friend."
"But why do you think it would be lying?"
"Because… there's this boy I…"
"Me!"
"Smart Adrien, we love smart Adrien." Nino chuckles
"No no no! It doesn't make any sense! Marinette is Marinette and Ladybug is…"
"Glad Plagg was trying to keep things under wraps." Tikki says
"Marinette!" Adrien lovingly says
"Ok! Adrien, this whole thing smells like rotten Cheese! You know you're not supposed to know each other's secret identities!"
"Just because I know her secret identity, doesn't mean she has to know about mine. Everything will be just fine, I promise."
Adrien runs out his door
"Adrien! Putting a smelly piece of cheese in a box doesn't stop it from smelling."
"Ah, Plagg and his cheese metaphors." Adrien says
At the Trocadero
"Ta-dah! I did it!"
"Okay, that definitely wasn't how it went." Alya points out
The girls cheer for Marinette
"I'm so proud of you!" Alya declares
"You rock." Mylene praises Marinette
"I'm still proud of you girl." Alya says
Alix gives Rose her unicorn. They get out the sandwiches. Marinette grabs one as Alya asks the elephant in the room.
"How did you get to Adrien?"
"I...I.. was very convincing? Hehe?"
"Pfft. Yeah right girl." Alya almost scoffs
"I know I said it at Heart Hunter, but you look great with your hair down." Adrien compliments Mari.
"Thanks Adrien." She gives him a peck on the cheek
"Marinette! I have something to tell you." Alya and Rose push Mari to Adrien. "I've realised… I've realised that you're not just a friend to me. I've always felt that you were more than that. *he grabs her hands* And now I know why."
"Awww!" The girls coo
"Does, uh, does this mean that you… you like the beret?" Mari almost stammers
Adrien lovingly looks at her. "It means that I love you." Mari and Adrien kiss
"Now why couldn't we have gotten a reveal like that? Ours was so argumentative."
"Kitty, don't be picky."
The next day, Mari runs into Adrien's arms at school with Chloe and Sabrina looking over them. "RIdiculous, utterly ridiculous!"
"Mini Audrey, you're utterly ridiculous!" Nino high fived Chloe
That afternoon, Marinette and Adrien are slow dancing along with Alya and Nino slow dancing as well.
That night, a newscast by Nadia talks about Adrien's girlfriend Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
"Here's a mistake past us made, they made it public. We have it secretly." Mari and Adrien pounded their fists together.
"It's heartbreak for all the girls of Paris, as supermodel Adrien Agreste has a girlfriend: classmate Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
One week later
Nathalie is holding the tablet that video calls Gabriel in the Dupain-Cheng bakery
"Miss Dupain-Cheng, your relationship with my son is detrimental to the Gabriel Agreste brand. I demand that you stop seeing him at once."
"It would not be detrimental, it would help the brand. Marinette is a great designer, with her designs she will be a fashion designer in the future." Adrien praises Mari
"But… I didn't do anything."
"She loves Adrien and Adrien loves her! You can't decide… if you refuse, I will not hesitate to withdraw Adrien from school, and he'll never see his friends again."
Everyone gasps "WHat kind of father uses SCHOOL for LEVERAGE AGAINST their KID!" Nino yells.
"He's on our list of people to murder babe." Alya says
"Who's on the list?" Chloe asks curiously
"Gabriel, Hawkmoth, Audrey and Bob Roth." Alya says
"That's a good start." Chloe appreciates
Marinette, Adrien and Nino are a bit scared that Alya has a hit list
The tray of Macarons drops to the floor. "Adrien doesn't deserve this." Mari says
"Then make the right choice." Gabriel states. Mari starts crying which makes Tom very upset
"Get out of my bakery, NOW!"
The next day
Marinette stands at the gate to the Agreste Mansion and Gorilla opens the front door. "Marinette? Why won't you come in? What's wrong?"
"Adrien...I… forgive me. We're just… we're just not right for each other." Mari says
"What are you talking about? Of course we are. We love each other." Adrien buts back
"No, I… don't love you… anymore." Mari starts crying and runs to the nearest Metro station stairs.
"No, Marinette! Please let me through! It can't end like this! It can't end at all! I love her!"
Adrien says with tears in his eyes.
In Gabriel's office
"Everything is going according to plan, sir." Nathalie explains
"WHat do you MEAN! According to PLAN! HE PLANNED THIS?! I...I… I JUST WANNA PUNCH SOMETHING!" Adrien yells with all his might.
He accidentally punches Marinette in the face. "OMg, so sorry MAri."
"It's alright. You were angry. Which is understandable."
In Hawkmoth's lair
"Ugh, we don't want you here! DOn't make things even worse!" Alya yells
"I've never felt so much utter despair! *he evilises an akuma* Marinette Dupain-Cheng will be my ultimate masterpiece! *He lets it fly* Fly away my little akuma and evilise this broken heart!"
Mari sits at the top of the metro stairs
At the mansion
"I beg you, please!" Adrien says crying. The gorilla drops his arm and lets Adrien out. Adrien runs and sees an akuma coming for Marinette.
"Marinette! Move!"Adrien yells
"Adrien?" Marinette whispers. She turns around
"Plagg, Claws Out!"
Gasp "Adrien revealed himself!" Nino screams
"Cataclysm!" He lunges for the akuma and rumples it with the cataclysm.
"Adrien!" Mari whispers
"You were about to be akumatized. I didn't have a choice, M'lady." Chat reveals he knows her identity
"Okay, what's going on?!" Chloe yells
"Milady? But, how did you know? I thought our identities were supposed to remain a secret." Mari drops the umbrella and drops into Chat's arms
"Yeah well, that's not the rule anymore."
"Everything will be ok. I promise."
In Gabriel's office
"Nathalie? Nathalie?!" Gabriel says from the end of the call
"It's Adrien, your son. He's… he's Chat Noir."
In Hawkmoth's lair
"Chat Noir? My own son? *he grins* Ah! The Miraculous will soon be mine!"
Marinette paused the video. The tension was so thick a mouse squeaking would break the tension
"What…" Chloe starts
"...the…" Nino continues
"...hell!" Alya finishes
"What the hell Agreste!" Marinette yells
Adrien just sobs. He sobs as much as Syren.
"Okay first of all Uncle Gabriel! You're no longer my honorary uncle! Second of all, you have neglected your son for way too long and THIS? THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING WITH YOUR NONEXISTENT ME TIME?! THIRD, YOU JUST LEARNED YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING YOUR SON FOR ABOUT A YEAR AT THIS POINT AND YOU DON'T EVEN THINK WHAT ADRIEN HAS BEEN FEELING THIS WHOLE TIME?! AND FINALLY! WHATEVER YOU HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR IS NOT WORTH TERRORISING PARIS FOR A WHOLE YEAR!" Chloe's rant had released a pent up amount of anger over the years about Gabriel and made Adrien curl up in a sobbing mess.
"Adrien. Hey. Look at me. It's me, your girlfriend Marinette. Hey, we're here for you. All of us, we know you feel betrayed. We will have a long talk with you father. He will get his comeuppance."
"I...I… had a good talk with father earlier last night. Like a good father-son conversation. I… don't want him... to have his comeuppance. I feel… like… me knowing that he is doing this, is enough. I do feel betrayed, and… I think that's enough. I've always wanted some time with him, and if he gets arrested, I'll never get that time again." Adrien sadly monologues
Mari silently debates in her head about what to do with Gabriel after dealing with him. She's always thought that when they found Shadowmoth and Mayura, they would immediately be sent to Prison. She hasn't thought of what their family would feel, and to add to the guilt, her boyfriend was Shadowmoth's son.
"Do… do you need a break?" Marinette asks
"Um Hello? Don't you remember? We have to get through this as fast as possible to fight the akuma." Alya reminds Mari
"Alya! He needs a break. Can't you see that he isn't mentally stable right now?" Mari buts back
"People are suffering from this akuma!"
"So is Adrien right now!"
"...fine."
30 minutes later
"I...I… think I'm feeling better." Adrien admits
"That's good dude. Are you ready to get this dream over with?" Nino asks
"Y-yeah. Let's continue."
Ladybug and Chat Noir jump down into where Gabriel keeps Emilie, knocking him down.
"You're done, Hawkmoth! Give us back your miraculous!" Ladybug demands. Hawkmoth throws his cane at Chat Noir, who knocks it into the water. Ladybug and Chat Noir walk slowly towards Hawkmoth who starts backing up.
"You know what they say, the wave of a moth's wing can set off a cataclysm." Chat quips
Hawkmoth backs into the coffin. "I would put that cataclysm away if I were you, Adrien." Hawkmoth quips
Chat recoils back a bit. "How do you…?" Chat asks confusedly and scared. The coffin opens up to reveal Emilie Agreste.
"Mother?"
"Mom?" "Emilie?" "Mrs. Agreste?" "Isn't she supposed to be in the cemetery?"
"Clearly Gabriel was keeping her in his basement all along." Chloe quips
"I'm doing it for her, Adrien. For you, for us." Hawkmoth says
"So that's it. He's using the wish to revive Emilie." Mari figures out
"So, that's what he's meaning when he is fixing everything." Adrien ponders
"But, Emilie's been missing for over a year now. There was even a funeral. How does he plan to answer the questions the media will undoubtedly have?" Alya ponders
"Adding to the fact that not even Adrien has known where she has been. At least, since now." Nino adds
"Father?"Ladybug gasps in reaction. Chat slowly gets more angry "Why? Why? Why?" Chat focuses on the more powerful cataclysm. He lunges at Hawkmoth stopping a few inches away from him. Chat looks up "Why?" Hawkmoth grins evilly. He summons his cane and knocks Adrien out of the basement like a missile. Chat starts plummeting down, but Hawkmoth takes a swing at Chat, knocking him to the Eiffel Tower. Chat falls onto the ground.
"How could someone do that, knowing that they are their offspring?!" Alya yells in outragement.
"Also, he didn't even notice that Adrien wasn't down with his plan. If he was doing this for Adrien, he should've double thought his plan wouldn't follow through." Mari explains
"Unless he was doing this just for him." Chloe jabs
"We can save your mother, using your miraculous and hers." Hawkmoth explains
"We? We've already established that it's just I..I..I for you. You don't care about Adrien." Nino jabs
"No, just stop." Chat begs
"Don't listen to him! You know there would be a terrible price to pay in exchange!" Ladybug yells
"Oh yeah, and just who you were planning to use to exchange for Emilie?" Alya asks
"Nathalie was probably going to sacrifice herself." Chloe thinks
"If she loves you, she'll let you save your mother!" Hawkmoth claims
"I do love my boyfriend, and if one loves someone they don't go behind their back and terrorise the city that they live in just to revive someone they love." Mari explains
"Basically, the ends don't satisfy the means." Nino sums it up
"Correct." Chloe bluntly says
"Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!" Chat screams. Hawkmoth sends an akuma into Chat's bell.
"Chat Blanc, I'm giving you the infinite power of destruction! Together, you and I will seize Ladybug's miraculous and awaken your mother! Obey!"Chat tries to resist the akuma, but ends up giving in. "I'm sorry Ladybug."
"I'm sorry Princess." Adrien says
Mari shakes her head "This isn't you. That's alternate, timeline you." Mari explains
"Seize her miraculous, my son!" Chat Blanc, powering a cataclysm looks at Ladybug. "No, Adrien. You have to resist!" Ladybug hopes
Chat Blanc looks to Hawkmoth "How dare you! Not me, Adrien!"
"Well with everything you've done to him, you have no right to say that." Chloe says
Chat Blanc looks in between Ladybug and Hawkmoth "I… I don't know what to do!" Blanc drops the cataclysm onto the ground and it expands. "Milady" Blanc sadly says "My Prince." Ladybug sadly says in despair.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Blanc yells. Ladybug and Hawkmoth get enveloped by the cataclysm, and Paris shortly falls. A laser cataclysm is shot into the moon, splitting it in half.
As the video fast forwards, day and night go like a blink of an eye. Water slowly rises over the years as Chat Blanc runs around the demolished Paris. Eventually the video goes to the top of the Montparnasse Tower with Chat Blanc dangling his feet off the side. A bright portal opens up and out comes Ladybug and Bunnyx. That is when the video turns off.
At this point everyone is in tears
"The Adrien of that timeline spent years there?" Mari starts crying.
Bunnyx shows up. "Sorry. That was not meant to be sent to your memories Minibug. How are you even here?"
"I'm… sorry Bunnyx but an akuma set us here, we assumed watching the video throughout would send us back.
Bunnyx shakes her head and puts it in her hand. "Ugh, I didn't want this to happen, but I am not the hero of erasing memories."
"Wait, if you didn't mean to send Marinette the memories, then how were they there?"
"I accidentally did when trying to fix an issue with the space-time continuum, don't worry. I got it under control." Bunnyx creates a time portal back to when they were sent there.
"We trust you Bunnyx. You take care." The five heroes go into the portal.
Funnily enough, Sandboy was just as easy to take care of as last time. Mainly because Carapace was helping them throughout the fight.
"Pound It!" The three heroes celebrate.
"Hey, Maribug? Can I stay at your place for the night?" Adrien asks
"Of course Chatdrien. Just make sure you get back home before your father notices, don't wnat you to get in trouble again." She pecks his lips
"Of course not Bugaboo."
