East District 439, Mount Paozu, Son Residence; Saturday

"Where is it!? Where is it!?" Gohan said totally out of nerves. Today was a special day, at least for him.

Today was his first date.

That sounded so strange to Gohan. He never thought that he would get to go on a date so soon since he started high school and more specially with a girl like Erasa, but he didn't regret it either. It made him feel more normal.

"Ah! Here it is, at last! I thought I would never find it." Gohan took what he was looking for, his wallet. He couldn't go to his date without money, it would look bad. "I have enough money due to how much I have saved. I hope it's enough for this night."

Closing the door to his bedroom, he made his way to the living room, meeting his mother and Goten, who greeted him.

"Are you leaving now, Gohan?" Chi-Chi asked.

"That's right, Mom. I don't want to keep my friends waiting." Gohan lied. He hadn't told his mother that he had actually a date, he knew she would exaggerate, that's why he had to lie.

"Can I go with you? Please?" Goten approached his brother, looking at him with puppy eyes to try to convince him.

"I-I… Well, it's that…" Gohan hesitated, looking for some excuse.

"Goten, I'm sure that Gohan wants to spend some time with his friends. You can spend some time with him tomorrow, okay?" Chi-Chi gave Gohan a smile. The boy smiled too, happy that his mother had made an excuse for him.

Gohan looked at his wristwatch. "I'm leaving now, my friends must be waiting for me. See you later, Mom and Goten." The two said goodbye to him as Gohan walked out the front door.

Open air between East District 439 and Ringo Town

Flying along a thickly forested horizon, Gohan made his way to Ringo Town. Passing through Satan City, Gohan looked at his cell phone; as Erasa said, the town was close to the big city, so he would soon reach his destination.

Observing the scenery, Gohan soon saw a town full of decorations and stalls, clearly a festival was taking place. This place had to be Ringo Town. Gohan descended a few feet from the ground, glad that no one had observed him fly. Adjusting his jacket, he walked into the town, marveling at so much activity, people and stalls; it was the first time that he went to a festival.

"Gohan!" A female voice called that Gohan recognized immediately. It was Erasa's voice. "Finally you arrive! I've waited for you for a quarter of an hour. I thought you would come."

"Sorry. I couldn't find my wallet, that's why it took me so long to arrive." Gohan looked at the blonde up and down, blushing at how she looked. "B-By the way, you look very pretty with that dress."

Erasa wore a lime green sundress with blue flowers adorning it that reached her knees. On her feet she wore white open sandals. Finally, hanging from her shoulder you could see a small white purse. The girl had dressed to impress on this date.

"You like it? I have worn expressly for this date." Erasa looked at Gohan, winking at him. "You also look very handsome."

Gohan wore a denim jacket, a gray short sleeved T-shirt emblazoned with the飯 characters, black pants and black lace-up trainers. He had tried to dress more appropriately for the date, but also in comfortable clothes.

"T-Thank you." Gohan blushed even more due to the compliment, he still wasn't used to being told by girls how attractive he was. Being the gentleman that he was, he gave his arm to Erasa. "How about we enjoy the festival? That's why we're here for, right?"

Erasa wrapped her hands around Gohan's arm, placing her head on the teen shoulder and smiling flirtatiously at him. "That seems perfect to me."

The two teens began to walk around the festival, enjoying the colors and the music.

A few minutes before…

"I still don't know what I'm doing here, really." A red-haired girl said to her brown-haired friend of hers. The two of them were watching a blonde girl with cropped hair.

"Come on, Shānhú, you know why you're here. Also you didn't complain when I told you why we were coming to Ringo Town. You agreed to come here at the first change." Shānhú blushed in embarrassment, looking away as she muttered something. "Erasa looks really pretty in that dress. Do you think Gohan would like the way she looks."

"I don't know… Maybe he will blush." Shānhú said annoyed, without knowing why.

Fenn looked back from her to Erasa. "Erasa is beginning to move, we have to do the same if we don't want to lose track of her. Come on, Shānhú."

The brunette grabbed Shānhú by the hand, forcing her to follow him. The two teens stealthy followed the blonde, hiding behind a takoyaki stall once Erasa had stopped; the girl was observing her surroundings as if she were looking for someone. Which was normal, her date was taking a long time.

Fenn felt a touch on his shoulder. "What's the matter, Shānhú?"

The boy turned to the redhead, who pointed to two teenagers – one with platinum blonde hair and the other with black hair in twin ponytails – who were also spying on Erasa from behind another food stall. Fenn recognized them immediately, they were Videl and Sharpner.

"Apparently we aren't the only ones who have come to spy on Gohan and Erasa's date." Shānhú said in a singsong tone. "And it looks like they saw us, so we'd better explain what we're doing here."

Seeing that there was no other option, Fenn decided to listen to his friend. Once Erasa had left again, the brunette made a signal to the other two teenagers to go to a game stand, who decided to follow the order of the saiyan. The four teenagers converged on a kingyo sukui stall. Videl wore an angry expression, Sharpner on the other hand one of indifference.

"What are you doing here!?" Videl's high-pitched voice exclaimed.

"We could ask you the same question." Fenn crossed his arms. "We're here to see how Gohan and Erasa's date will go."

"We are also here for that very same reason." Sharpner said. Rather, he was forced to come because of Videl, and due to the girl's insistence he couldn't say no. He wasn't so upset either, he still wanted to go to the festival and so he won on the end.

"I didn't see yourself as a meddler, Videl." Fenn had a superior smile, as if he found this to be the most amusing thing ever.

Videl glared at the brunette. "Aren't you too? You're doing the same thing as me."

"I admit it, I'm a busybody. But unlike you, I do it because I'm worried that Gohan will screw it up on his date." Videl glared even more than before at Fenn, who responded with the same look.

Sparks came out of the eyes of Videl and Fenn, which observed each other in silence, not caring what was happening around both of them. Sharpner and Shanhu looked at the two with drops of sweat falling from their foreheads, used to them always arguing. After a few seconds Shanhu decided to intervene, thinking that it was for the best if she didn't want a show to happen in front of everyone.

"No need to argue. We are here for the same thing, right?" The three teens nodded. "So why don't we watch them all together? So we all win. Not only that, we can also enjoy the festival since we're here."

"I thinks it's a good idea. It would be a waste not to enjoy ourselves as we're here." Sharpner looked at the girl in pigtails and the brunette. "And you? What are you saying?"

Both young teen took one last gaze at each other and then looked at their two friends, after a few seconds they both accepted the idea of the redhead. Seeing that everything was solved, the group of four decided to follow Erasa, who seemed to have noticed someone, calling him. The four, behind a painting stall, saw that Erasa had called Gohan, who seemed enraptured by the place.

"Gohan has already arrived. Just in time, I don't think Erasa would have waited much longer for him." Fenn nudged Shānhú because the girl seemed spellbound by something. "Are you with us Shānhú?"

Shānhú woke up from her lethargy. "Uuuh… Yes, yes. Sorry, I noticed something and was stunned. It will not be repeated."

Fenn looked at her confused, but shook his head, looking back from her to Erasa and Gohan.

Videl smiled, knowing why Shānhú seemed so distracted. The redhead was staring at Gohan, a thin blush on her cheeks. It was a shame that she was so silly that she didn't even notice her feelings for the black-haired teen. "Shānhú… It shows too much."

"Gohan has given Ersa his arm to hold onto him." Sharpner said causing the redhead to frown. "And they are already beginning to move. We'd better follow them or we'd lose them."

The four teens stealthy followed their two friends, who didn't realize they were being spied on.

The two teenagers had walked for about fifteen minutes, both enjoying each other's company. They had passed many food stalls, whetting Gohan's appetite, but he had ignored his stomach to focus more on the date.

"Gohan! Let's try that game over there, it seems interesting!" Erasa pointed to a stall not far from where they were standing.

Gohan looked at the place Erasa had pointed out. It was a stall with a lever, a metal disk attached at one end of the tower, and had the other end a bell. Around the stalls were many stuffed animals, one of which attracted a lot of attention for being one size larger than the others. It was a test of strength game – also known as high striker –, the worst kind of game he could have ever played.

"Dammit. Erasa had to choose a game where strength is everything." Gohan made an annoyed face. "I will have to contain myself as long as possible so as not to destroy the post."

"Come on, Gohan. I want to prove how strong I am." Erasa tugged at the boy's jacket sleeve, forcing him to follow her.

Gohan laughed nervously at Erasa's attitude.

Due to Erasa's stubbornness – she didn't accept Gohan's excuses for not wanting to go to that game – they both arrived in record time. There were two men, one of them accompanied by a little girl of no more than six years.

"I would like to try it." Erasa spoke to one of the men. One of them turned to the blonde, and older man with gray hair, the owner of the stall.

"It costs 250 zenis each try. From 50 points there is a prize."

"Wait, I go first." The other man said to Erasa. He was dark and muscular, and he was holding a mallet. Moving closer to the lever, he breathed out softly and with a grunt he hit the spring hard, sending the disk up to the 55 mark.

"Congratulations. As a prize you get a small stuffed animal." The owner gave the man a stuffed rabbit.

The man – who looked like he wanted to protest – handed the stuffed toy to his daughter with a bit of frustration. He was sure that he was going to reach 100 points and that that way he could win a better award for his daughter.

"Let's see how I do." Erasa paid the old man once the man and his daughter had left, taking the mallet. She held it out onto her back and yelled loudly, hitting the spring with all her might.

The disk rose to 23 points.

"Well, I tried." Erasa handed the mallet back to the older man. "Do you want to try, Gohan? I'm sure you can win a prize."

Gohan raised his arms and shook his head. "I don't think so. If that guy from before hasn't been able, surely I will not even reach 20 points. I'm less muscular compared to him."

"Come on, don't say that! I'm sure you can." Erasa paid 250 more zenis to the old man. "This game is paid by me, next time it's up to you."

The game owner handed the mallet to Gohan, who gripped it tightly.

"Well Gohan, you can't escape this… I wish there was a version of the Super Saiyan that decreased strength instead of increasing it. I could use it right now." Gohan raved in his mind.

He hit the loosest blow he could, causing the disk to hit 100-point buzzer and dent the metal on it.

Gohan was holding the mallet as he watched it, he damaged the handle of it. "Dammit… I'm incompetent. I can't even control my strength with a simple game. I hope the next game isn't one of strength or Erasa may be suspicious of me."

The owner stared at Gohan wide-eyed, his mouth wide open. "Y-You got 100 points… You c-can choose between a huge teddy bear, a c-candy basket or some f-free meal tickets."

"Perfect! We will choose the teddy bear!" Erasa seemed completely unaware of what Gohan had done, and if she knew, she was ignorant.

The older man handed the teddy bear to Gohan, who placed it on his back as if it would weight nothing. Erasa waved goodbye to the man, who kept looking at Gohan with an expression of disbelief.

"Dammit! I wanted to win that ticket prize, but now it won't be possible!" Fenn complained, noting what Gohan had done with his other friends.

Unlike him and Shānhú, who were not surprised by the strength the black-haired teen had shown, Videl and Sharpner were, demonstrating it with an expression similar to that of the owner of the game.

"H-How could he…" Videl asked.

"…do that?" Sharpner finished the sentence, just as incredulous as the girl.

"Gohan, you're an idiot. You should have contained your strength much more." Shānhú looked at the blonde, it seemed she had not noticed anything. "And you're also lucky that Erasa is somewhat clueless or someone else would know your secret."

"Those two are moving again. Come on, let's follow them." Fenn caught everyone's attention, who began to follow him.

Gohan and Erasa had stopped at a candy apple stand.

The four friends looked at them for about twenty minutes, until at the end they got bored, since the only thing the black-haired teen and blonde did was eat their sweets and take pictures of themselves and the surroundings. The group of friends decided to hang out at a game stand. They found a perfect one, of wanage. The owner of the stall was a woman in her thirties with blonde brown hair.

"If you want to try it, it costs 300 zenis each." The four paid the exact money to the woman. "To get a prize you must throw all three rings at the same target and you will have it. Good luck."

The four of them prepared to launch their hoops at the targets they already had in sight. After five minutes everyone left the hoop shooting stand with their prizes, although not everyone was happy.

"That's not fair! I didn't want to get this stupid figurine!" Videl had in her hands a figurine of a ninja.

"You aren't the only one who didn't get the figure that she wanted." Fenn had a small of a white bunny in a blue dress. "You have the one I wanted while I have this stupid rabbit."

"That 'stupid rabbit' is part of the childhood of thousands of people." Videl yelled.

"Why don't you exchange your figures with each other? Nonsense like this is not worth arguing over." Shānhú said, trying to keep everyone from arguing.

Sharpner laughed at this whole situation. The two accepted and exchanged their prizes, standing still for a few seconds when their fingers touched each other, looking away once each had the figure they wanted.

"Well, now that we all have what we wanted, why don't we go have some apple dumplings? Surely we're all a little hungry, right?" Sharpner said. The three of them nodded, leaving so they could eat something while they could.

Gohan and Erasa had decided to go to another stall with some game after having eaten a little and taken some photos. The two of them were having a great time, especially Gohan, who looked like a kid on his birthday. It was no wonder, after all it was the first time he had been to a festival.

"Look Gohan! There is another game that we can try!" Erasa pointed to another stand.

The two of them headed to that site, it was a shateki stall. The owner of the stall was a fairly young man, in his early twenties. Erasa was about to take her wallet from her purse, until Gohan grabbed her hand, stopping her.

"You said that the next game would be paid by me and I plan to fulfill that. Let me pay, Erasa." Gohan took his wallet, smiling at the blonde.

The girl smiled at Gohan's generous gesture. The boy paid about 500 zenis to the man, who gave Erasa a shotgun.

Erasa looked confused at Gohan. "I don't understand… You aren't going to play?"

"I'm not looking forward to this game, so try to win a prize for the both of us, okay?" Gohan winked at the blonde. Erasa smiled, firmly grasping the shotgun and starting to fire.

While that was happening, Gohan observed a teenager who was also playing at the same time as Erasa. Unlike the blonde girl – who was missing all of her shots – the boy had a more professional posture when shooting, hitting all of his shots.

Once Erasa had finished her shift and handed her shotgun she turned to Gohan, disappointment in her face. "Sorry. I couldn't win a single award."

"No problem." Gohan said nonchalantly, leaving Erasa in awe. "Why don't you try one more time? I'm sure this time you will win. Trust me."

Gohan paid another 500 zenis to the man, who again gave Erasa a shotgun. Just as she was about to shoot, Gohan stood behind her, sticking his body close to the blonde's body and putting his hands on Erasa's, surprising her.

"You're doing it wrong. Look, you have to position yourself like this and hold the shotgun like this." Gohan correctly positioned the blonde, who blushed at the position they were. "Now shoot and I'm sure you will be able to hit the marks."

As Gohan said, Erasa managed to hit her target, obtaining a prize that was a box of candy.

"I told you you'd get it, you just had to position yourself better."

"Thanks. Here, get the prize, you deserve it. It was thanks to you that I was able to win it." Erasa handed the box of candy to Gohan, who gladly accepted it, putting it away. "Let's keep going, I'm looking forward to seeing more before the fireworks start."

The four teenagers had returned from buying masks from a mask stall, in addition to having played at a water tank stall. Right now they were watching Gohan and Erasa at the shateki game. While three of them watched them a bit bored, the redhead watched them with annoyance and discomfort on her face.

The next thing Gohan did with Erasa surprised everyone, cheering up three of the youngsters, but annoying one even more.

"That Gohan is taking the opportunity to stick to Erasa while he explains to her how to shoot." Shānhú gritted her teeth in anger at Sharpner's words. "To never have had a date with a girl, he does know what to do."

"I bet you 1000 zenis they will go to a hotel after this." Fenn smiled.

Sharpner and Videl also made their bets regarding their two friends on the date, much to the annoyance of the redhead.

"Could you stop being so rude? Gambling with the privacy of others is sick. Worse still if those people are friends of ours. So stop at once!" Shānhú shouted, wearing a kitsune mask to hide her red cheeks from anger.

"You don't have to be angry, Shānhú. We weren't serious. I'm not cruel enough to bet on my friends." Videl tried to calm her friend down. "We weren't serious, guys?"

"Eeeeh… Yes, of course. We weren't serious." The boys lied.

Videl shook her head. From the boy's tone of voice, the two of them were more than serious in their bets, which didn't surprise her at all. Sighing, she looked at her wristwatch, where it read 7:10 p.m. "Let's keep spying on the lovebirds. There are still about two hours before the fireworks start."

The four teens set off, moving from stall to stall, willing to take advantage of the time while spying on their friends. But in Shānhú's mind a question kept repeating itself over and over again. Why did she feel so weird thinking about Gohan?

Two hours had passed since Gohan and Erasa exited the shateki game. During that time they had gone to more stalls, won more awards, and had more photos taken. Right know they were both in an open field, where people could be seen in the surroundings, who were there for the same reason that the two teenagers were; watch the fireworks.

"Are you having a good time?" Gohan asked.

Erasa nodded, smiling. "Yes. It has been a wonderful day, thank you for inviting me."

"But she was the one who invited me." Gohan thought surprised. Had Erasa forgotten that it was she who invited him?

While Gohan was thinking that, Erasa wrapped her arms around the boy's left arm, looking up at the starry sky. "Tell me Gohan… What do you think of me? And be sincere."

Gohan was caught off guard. "I-I think you're very nice."

"Nice?" Erasa's tone of voice sounded uncertain. "Is that all you can think about me?" Her face showed disappointment, as if she had been expecting more from Gohan.

Gohan right now was wishing for the earth to swallow him up or for Cell to come back to have an excuse to escape. "Aren't there any super dangerous villains putting everyone in danger right now? It could be great for me now!"

"Let me ask you something. Would you have tried asking me out on a date on your own?" Erasa put her hands on her back and bowed slightly.

Gohan avoided her gaze, not wanting to answer the question, but he knew he had to. Sighing, he turned his eyes to the girl. "I'm sorry. I know that you have had certain intentions in inviting me to the festival, but I don't think I can reciprocate them. You're a beautiful girl and as I said very nice. I have a good time with you and I have enjoyed the time we've spend but I think that's all I feel."

Erasa leaned towards him slowly, confusing him and filling him with nervousness. The girl closed her eyes as she gently kissed Gohan on his lips. The boy, not knowing what to do, remained totally paralyzed, without reciprocating the kiss from the blonde, who hugged his neck to deepen the kiss. They stayed like this for a few seconds, until Gohan gently pushed Erasa away from him.

Erasa, still feeling rejected, smiled kindly, without any resentment in her. "I thought I could make you change your mind with a kiss. Than you would reciprocate it, but I see that not."

"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel ba–" Gohan was interrupted when Erasa a finger on his lips.

"You don't have to feel bad. You didn't have to reciprocate me and I'm glad you think so highly of me. Let's finish the day as friends, okay?" Erasa smiled brightly. "I think the fireworks are about to start. Come on or we'll miss them!"

Grabbing Gohan's hand, she ran off, the black-haired teen behind her. Soon they came to a river; both sitting on some stones by the shore. "By the way, it shows that you have never kissed someone, your lips are very soft."

"Y-You're the first girl w-who has ever kissed me." Gohan flinched in embarrassment.

"If you want, I could kiss you a second time. No pressure or compromise. What do you say?" Erasa whispered in a seductive tone as she rested her left cheek on Gohan's right shoulder.

The boy turned so red that even his ears where heated with embarrassment. "Y-You're very k-kind, but n-no thanks."

Erasa covered her mouth with both hands, giggling. "You're so cute! It was just a joke, you didn't have to take it seriously!"

They were both surprised to hear at that moment a loud sound followed by a pop. Gohan, looking up at the sky, watched the first firework of the many to be launched and stood up, spreading both arms besides him, his eyes shining. "This is the first time I have seen fireworks! And above so close!"

Erasa smiled when she saw him while she hugged her legs; he looked like a child tasting his first candy. "Gohan may not belong to me, but at least I get his first kiss."

Meanwhile, the four teenagers had hidden behind some trees not far from the river where Erasa and Gohan had headed. The four of them were watching them intently, as if they were both the protagonist of a movie, which it seemed.

"Hey, the two of them are very close." Sharpner pointed at Erasa and Gohan. The blonde girl was leaning towards the black-haired teen.

"Was Erasa going to…? Point to Gohan!" Fenn exclaimed laughing, covering his mouth instantly for fear of revealing his position; but luckily for him Erasa and Gohan seemed to ignorant of their surroundings.

Shānhú fell tears forming in her eyes, looking away from the scene.

"Are you okay?" Sharpner asked to the crimson eyed girl, noticing that she was shrugging. He couldn't see her face since she had it covered with her mask.

"Why do I feel like my heart just broke? Why?" Shānhú thought sadly, feeling more and more tears in her eyes. "I… I'm sorry guys, I have to go."

Videl and Fenn turned around in surprise, only to see that the redhead was gone.

"Shānhú!" Videl called. She was about to go after her friend, until she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"No, Videl. Let me go, when she gets like that she likes to be alone." Fenn interrupted the black-haired girl, saying goodbye to his friends to run away, looking for Shānhú's ki. "This place probably brought back memories of her home… It makes sense for her to be sad."

Making sure to not be seen, the brunette moved at breakneck speed in order to fins his friend. Seeing that she was not on the ground he lifted his feet off the ground, flying undetected by anyone. Observing his surroundings, he soon detected Shānhú's ki, finding her on the roof of a building; she was sitting up, hugging her legs and hunched over as she cried out under her mask.

Descending to the building, Fenn silently approached Shānhú with his hands in his pockets. Sensing his presence, the redhead turned to him.

"I'm sorry… I shouldn't have left like that." Shānhú sobbed some more.

"Don't worry, it's no problem. Do you want to talk about it?" Fenn sat next to the girl, who said nothing, so he took her silence as a negative answer. "I understand… Do you want me to stay with you to watch the fireworks?"

Shānhú rested her head on the shoulder of her best friend while she wept. Fenn removed the mask and gently wiped the tears from her eyes.

"You don't have to hide under a mask." Fenn placed his hand over Shānhú's, squeezing it gently. "And you know what I mean."

Shānhú looked at her bracelets. Stroking them, she sighed and took them off and put them in her pants pocket, then she smiled sadly. "Thanks."

They both watched the fireworks.
