A/N: I'm trying out something new, I love a good Spider-Man and Black Cat story so I decided to give it a try and see where it goes. I'm gonna base it off of the DLC.
Spider-Man, hero to New York City stood inside the museum watching it anyone would come and steal this priceless painting, "Security walls intact and bullet proof." He tapped on the glass, "No ones getting near the Maria anytime soon." His suit possesses a blue and red scheme, with red covering the torso, legs, feet and back while blue surrounds the upper legs and hips, it also has black outlines along its body and face with the eye lenses tinted like sunglasses to give them a reflective style.
"Mission Accomplished then." A voice rung out from the inside of his mask.
Spider-Man turned around smiling, "I hope...so." He replied when he heard a noise come from behind him.
From the inside of the exhibit came a woman with white platinum blonde hair tied in a ponytail and blue eyes. She wore a black suit with white accents and black goggles. The gloves of her costume form retractable claws at the fingertips. She crawled along the trees moving towards the painting smiling mischievously.
"Yeah, I'm gonna have to call you back." He said plainly.
"Why? What's going on?" The voice asked, but was quickly cut off as Spider-Man hung up.
"You look good." She said simply as she flipped off the tree landing on the ground in front of him, "Been working out?"
Spider-Man was tongue tied when it came to the female in front of him, "Oh, uh, you know, maybe a little."
She brought her claw up to the glass and brought it down sideways, "So you swinging solo now, or back with your ex?"
"That's a lot of questions." He replied not wanting to reveal he'd gotten back with his ex.
"Oh just curious."
"I hear that's bad for cats. Why don't you tell me why your really here?"
"Oh I was just waiting for the right moment." She gazed off behind the arachnid, "Look behind you."
Two men were seen running behind him one carrying a bazooka the other a crowbar. These were men working for Hammerhead, a man tryna fill the seat of power that Wilson Fisk left behind.
Running up Spidey flicked his wrist and out came the webbing hitting the man who carried the bazooka in the face. When he fired it upwards hitting what looked to be a giant pumpkin carved from metal. The piece of the metal pumpkin broke off and landed on the two Hammerhead flunkies. When more men came running up the stairs holding various weapons pistols, knives, and yet again more bazooka's.
"It's Spider-Man, get him!"
Spider-Man sighed and launched into action. A tingling sensation went off in his head as he saw a rocket heading towards him, jumping over it, he webbed it and sent it right back at the man who launched it. His spider sense went off yet again as bullets started heading towards him. Spider-Man dived into the air dodging the bullets and webbing the men's faces so they couldn't see. He landed on the ground, quickly sweeping the legs out of one of the men holding the bazooka and webbing him to the ground, as a man holding a knife came running up behind him. With another spider sense warning, he flipped backwards with his foot coming into contact with the man's face knocking him out. His spider sense went off yet again, as he leaped over the bullets, spinning in the air, he webbed his face together, before clobering him in the face. He webbed one of the guys holding a bazooka and snatched it from him hitting another man with a bazooka which he quickly webbed to the ground. And with a final leap, he knocked out the last man standing webbing up all Hammerheads goons.
He turned back around and web slung back the woman stealing the Maria. He knocked on the glass as she took it off the wall.
"I like your new tricks."
"And I'm tired of your old ones." He replied as he hopped of the glass, "Weren't you gonna stop stealing art?"
"Who said I'm here for the art?" She then slammed her knee into the painting splitting it in two. Which shocked the webslinger.
"Wha-What are you doing?" Spider-Man responded flabbergasted at the woman's actions. When he saw a flash drive in her hand.
"I think you have lives to save." She replied which through him off, but when he turned around he saw the great pumpkin was about to fall and crush two of Hammerheads goons.
He sighed in defeat, "Not again." He launched into action as the chains snapped. He webbed the great pumpkin around and webbed some to the ceiling to keep it from hitting the ground. Landing ontop of it himself.
He looked back to the exhibit and found the woman from his past gone, "What the-? Where'd she go?" He webbed the roof of the museum and swung across landing on the ground again as he hit the side of his mask when a voice rung out.
"Peter, is everything ok?" She asked concerned and using his real name instead of his alias.
"Yeah, sorry, MJ. I just ran into an old friend." He replied as he saw the message left in the window, which he read in his head, 'Missed you.' with a heart clawed next to the message.
"Who?" The girl now known as MJ or Mary Jane Watson, current girlfriend and partner to Spider-Man.
"Trouble."
He sighed as he tapped the side of his mask and hung up the call and webbed out the building. He was swinging across Manhattan when he spotted a black cat plushie on a nearby building and his thoughts were brought to one person, 'Felicia Hardy aka The Black Cat.'
He jumped onto the building and saw a telescope next to the plushie and looked through it and saw Felicia land on the rooftop across from the building next to him.
"Gotcha." He hopped of the rooftop, heading straight to the ground when he raised his arm, a web came flying out as he grabbed on he sailed through the air sending him straight to the rooftop he saw Black Cat go into. He landed onto the roof and walked towards the door when Black Cat came rushing out with what looked like a statue in her hand.
She grabbed Peter by his arm and judo flipped him onto the ground landing straight on top of him, "Oh, Hey Spider." She ripped the statue head off.
"Felicia, the maggia are no joke, you shouldn't be playing with them." He warned her, but she just brushed them off.
"But I like to play." She rolled off of him, leaving him with the statue, and hopping of the building when two of Hammerhead's men came out after her.
"Spider-Man? He's working with the cat, get him!"
He launched off his hands, landing on his feet, he then webbed the statue to the wall behind them and got to work. He shot a web line and knocked one off his feet then back flipped, jumping over his companion, shooting two weblines which connected to his shoulders and he pulled sending his companion sailing above him and landing on his back. He then webbed the other guy to the ground.
After making work of the two men he had lost site of Felicia and sighed. He ran off the building and slung a web sending him sailing through the air. He landed onto of greenhouse crawling along the glass. When a voice interrupted his thoughts.
"I like watching you." She smiled seductively, "It reminds me of old times."
Skipping this cat and mouse game he got straight to the point, "What's on that drive?"
"Not entirely sure, to be honest." She replied as she ran off the top of the greenhouse and landed on the roof in front of him.
"Then why are you stealing it?"
"If I don't..." She started looking out to the city then back to him, "They'll kill my son." Not giving him a chance to respond she grabbed flash grenade, watched it go off, and disappeared.
Blinded and having a bit of a cough he fell from the glass he was on trying to locate Felicia, but like the wind she was gone, "Your son?" He porched on the edge of a building before he started racking his brain on the whole ordeal, "Dammit, Felicia has a son? Can I be- I mean could be, no no no, come on it can't be." He sighed as he hopped off the roof of the building and went swinging through New York. When he got a call from MJ.
'Oh this is not gonna end well.' He thought as he answered the call, "Hey MJ, the Cat got another data drive."
"Just one more and Hammerhead has all the drives from the Maggia crime families. We've gotta figure out what's on those drives." MJ replied wanting to know what's on those drives.
"Oh and there's something else." He landed on a building as he took of his mask to reveal his face. He looked young, with slicked back brown hair, brown eyes, and Caucasian paled skin. He grabbed his phone from inside his suit, "It's not like a big thing, I mean it is a big thing."
"Please have it make sense where it doesn't include the word thing." She asked as he kept tripping all over himself.
"Ok, the reason why Felicia is working for Hammerhead is because he took her son." He revealed that Felicia's son was kidnapped.
"Oh, I didn't know she had a son, but sounds like something Hammerhead would do." She said as she figured Hammerhead would use her son to get to her.
"There's this other thing." He replied a bit cautiously as he gazed out onto the city, "You remember when she and I dated for awhile."
"Yeah so?" She said when realization dawned on her, "Oh. Oh, you're serious?"
"I mean it's possible, but I don't know for sure." He said not knowing, but wanting to know for sure if he and Felicia had a child together.
"Oh, ew, I think I'm gonna hang up now." She replied a bit in digust and jealousy ringing in her voice as he heard the line go dead.
She sighed in annoyance with the two women in his life. One could be the mother of his child and the other was the girl he's loved since he was a child. He put his mask back on and hopped off the building swinging through the streets of New York. He was swinging through the city for atlesst 20 minutes looking for any sign of Black Cat when MJ called him.
"Hey MJ." He said shyly.
"First things first head to this address it's the last known address of the Costa family safe house if my source is right they have the final data drive."
"MJ, listen-" He started, but she cut him off.
"No you listen, I kind of overreacted, and I'm sorry." She apologized.
"No it's ok, you reacted the same way I would have."
"We weren't together at the time and it's not like I didn't date other people." She replied
"Right." He replied plainly as he landed on a building then launching straight into the air
"The point is we're adults and there's a kid in danger, so let's get to saving him." MJ added.
Spider-Man dived through the air, "You find anything out yet?"
"Nothing yet, but I think I know what's on those drives. Years ago the families agreed to a joint accounting database in order to keep the peace." She revealed to him.
"Put all their assets in one place." He replied connecting the dots in his head.
"And require all five data drives to access it." She finished.
"So Hammerhead steals Black Cat's son-" Peter begun when MJ finished his sentence for him.
"And then forces her to steal the drives so he can steal the assets from the other families." She concluded.
"Hammerhead's trying to get rich quick and bankrupt the other families in the process." He quipped.
Not seeing her eye roll, "We have to find that last drive before he does."
"I'm on it." Peter replied hanging up and swinging off to find Black Cat.
Peter went from rooftop to rooftop when he saw a platinum blonde woman flip out a window carrying a data drive. He landed on above the doorway and caught her.
"Felicia we need to talk."
"Oh, I do miss our little chats, but I've gotta run." She grabbed an emp and through it at him. Then running off the building.
Peter a bit stunned ran after her and jumped off a building when he noticed his webshooters were disabled and landed in the streets when she ran out in front of him, "She shorted out my web shooters with an emp. Guess I'm doing this the old fashioned way."
He ran after her and flipped over a police divider than leaped over the second. He hopped onto a stack of wood then flipped over a dumpster. "I want to help you." He chased her up a pile of crates when she yelled at him.
"Then back off."
"If Hammerhead's got your son you can't do this alone." He responded as he raced into the street after the retreating woman.
She hopped over a gate and yelled at him yet again, "Why not I've done everything else alone."
Peter kept up his chase, "I'm saying you don't have to do it." Using the gate as a spring he hopped onto a light pole, swung off the string of lights, and flipped of the truck still running after her, "Why not you trust me? We worked together before." He leaped off a bag of cement and onto a gated fence and flipped back into the street.
"Answered your own question didn't you." She responded trying to lose the arachnid chasing her.
Peter jumped over a car and raced back into the street and through a crowd of people, "Felicia, why didn't you come to me with this?"
"Because it's not your problem, it's mine and I'll handle it." She replied as she led him through a farmers market.
"Maybe, I don't think it's a problem." He hopped over someone's stand until he heard what he said, "Wait unless you mean the gang war because that's definitely a problem." He replied almost being hit by a car then flipping onto the hood of another car that almost hit him.
"I can take care of myself." She replied as she led him through the alley.
Finally having caught up to her he leapt at her, but she saw it coming grabbing his arm and judo flipping him into the ground leaving him with a goodbye present aka a smoke grenade. Black Cat ran through the subway and hopped over the monorail and onto the back of the train. Seeing Peter right behind her.
Peter watched as the train left and at that point his web shooters started working, zipping straight onto a ledge leading deeper into the subway, "Finally web shooters are back online." He zipped onto the ledge further down not losing site of Felicia.
Swinging after the train Peter yelled out to her, "I can help you stop Hammerhead!" When he saw another emp heading towards him he jumped over it running along the tunnels walls.
"How!? No killing, no breaking the law, your way won't get it done." She snarled as she kept tossing more emps at him.
Peter hopped to the other side of the tunnel trying to gain some distance he and the train had, "Felicia, about your son, I need to know. Is he?" He asked.
"He's mine and I'll take care of him." Felicia ended his curiosity.
Peter wasn't giving up until Felicia let him help her. He kept swinging through the tunnel dodging her emp bombs.
"Stubborn little spider." She said as Peter kept trying to catch up to her.
"I just wanna talk!" He yelled running along the tunnels walls then leaping off as he webbed the roof and went sailing after the train.
"Still with me?" She asked curiously
"I could go all night if that's what it takes." He replied as he dodged another one of her emp bombs.
"Now you're getting my attention." She smirked.
Dodging another emp, Peter leapt onto a passing train, running along the side. He wasn't gonna give up until he got some answers from her.
"Ah, guess I gotta play harder to get." She stood on the rooftop of the train and used her grappling hook and leapt off. Spider-Man seeing her took after her and webbed a nearby building, trying to get closer to her.
"Last time don't look for me." She responded running onto a nearby building. Spider-Man took to the building above her trying his hardest to catch her.
"Stop running."
"Stop chasing me."
She ran onto the train tracks and leapt over the station into the streets with Spider-Man close behind. She ran onto a basketball court and leapt over the fence when a something hit her arm and noticed it was the arachnids webbing. She growled in annoyance as she raced onto a building.
"Why are you webbing me?!"
"Because I'm trying to slow you down." He replied racing onto the rooftop as his spider sense went off. He launched into the air dodging the smoke grenade and chased after her.
Peter finally saw his opening and launched straight at her, but in return she turned around in the nick of time, grabbed him, and tossed him onto the ground. She leapt straight into the air, when Peter got up and launched after her. With the flick of his wrist he webbed her foot and slammed her onto a rooftop. Not being able to grab onto the building with her claws she was flung off the side when Peter came flying in and grabbed her hand. Hanging off his feet he slowly pulled her up.
"Now can we talk like human beings?"
"This feels pretty human to me." She crawled up and landed back onto the building they were on.
"I know what's on those drives your stealing." He stated.
"Look at you, brawn and brains." She mocked him.
"You can't give Hammerhead the last drive once he has what he wants your son will just be a loose end. Let me help you."
Knowing it's probably the truth she replied, "What are you thinking?"
"Stall him. Give us some time to find your son."
She stroked his face, "I missed you, glad we're back together again."
Pulling away from her, he immediately shot her down, "Not like that."
"Shame." She sighed in defeat as she stood up, "I can probably give us a couple of days max."
He stood up next to her, "So about your son, is there a chance I'm-" She cut him off.
"Later. For now let's find him, when he's safe we can talk about that." She had a small smile on his face, "Keep in touch Spider." She replied as she leapt off the building using her grapple hook and swinging off into the distance.
"Oh, MJ's gonna kill me." He sighed as he swung away.
Two Days Later
Felicia sat ontop of a building watching when Peter landed right beside her, "So what are we looking at?"
"Got a tip from an old friend. Hammerhead's keeping something extremely valuable in that office above the bar."
Spider-Man used his lenses and detected seven guarding the place, "A lot of guys in there."
"If they spot me, my son's dead." She looked at him concern marked all over her face.
He looked at her than at them, "I'll draw them out then you sneak in."
"My hero." She said dreamily
"Come on. Please." He sighed as he heard her laugh. Then watched as she leapt off the building and followed after her.
Deciding to use a bit of stealth he landed above a steel beam, that one of the men were standing under. He webbed his foot and pulled him up as he knocked him out and put him in a webbed cocoon. The next guy seemed to be watching the city when he heard something, but was quickly silenced when he was yanked upwards and put to sleep by Spider-Man. The next two guys were standing next to each other talking wanting split them up he webbed the ground catching there attention.
"Did you hear that?" He asked as he made his way over to where he heard the noise.
When Spider-Man made quick work of his partner. He looked around and noticed his friend was gone when he looked up Spider-Man had swept his legs out from under him and stomped on his face sending him to sleep then webbing him to the ground, "Nighty night." He quickly zipped back up to the beams and noticed their was only three guys left. Deciding to hurry along Peter webbed the fifth guys mouth shut and then webbed him to the ground despite his protests. The sixth guy was walking around when Peter webbed his legs and pulled him upwards, knocking him out, and webbing him into a cocoon.
Felicia waited as she saw almost all the goons down except number 7, "You first Spider."
He hopped out from his hiding place, leaping over him and kicking him in his back, when Black Cat hopped over Spider-Man's back and kicked him straight in the chest sending him straight into the bar. She threw his body onto the ground and hopped over it grabbing a cup and walked along the drinks knocking some onto the ground. When she grabbed a bottle of Chardonnay and popped the cork.
"Did you find the location of the vault?" He asked a bit impatient landing on a table in front of her.
"No, but we're narrowing it down and it's definitely where he's keeping my son." She replied tossing the Chardonnay bottle over her shoulder.
"Yeah, speaking of him. There's an overdue conversation." He pointed out wanting to talk if the kid was his. Felicia stepped onto the unconscious guard's back getting into Peter's face smiling.
"Do you ever miss this?" She asked stroking his face.
"What? Me getting shot at while you steal things." He quipped causing her to giggle. She sat down in a chair and kicked her feet up.
"I really tried going straight, got a job that didn't require breaking or entering even started wearing sweatpants on weekends."
"I wondered where you went. It must have been hard for you, especially with a child." He replied.
She tipped the chair over and flipped out of it, "I need to go deeper if I'm gonna find him."
"Let me help, if we're supposed to be working together." He offered, but she shot him down.
"Some things I do better alone. Some things." She said as she launched her grappling hook and swung up.
Turning around Spider-Man was met with an upside Black Cat, "I'll call you if I need an extra pair of hands." With that said she jumped up and swung away leaving Peter behind.
10 Hours Later
Peter was in his apartment sleep besides fighting the sinister six, stopping devil's breath, and helping Felicia look for her missing son. He hasn't caughten a wink of sleep. Well he was asleep until his phone woke him up, he grabbed it and hit call, when a female's voice was on the other end, "Hello Spider."
"Felicia, what's up?"
"I found him, I need your help." She said anxiously, "I'll send you the location."
"Alright I'm on my way." Peter responded as he jumped out of bed and grabbed his suit. He grabbed his web shooters putting them on when he suddenly couldn't find his mask till he noticed it on the counter. Slinging a web, he grabbed it and launched out his window towards the docks where Felicia was waiting for him.
Felicia was on a building across from the docks, "Where are you Spider?" She asked out loud when a voice replied back.
"Would you believe me if I said I got caught in traffic?" He quipped which made them both laugh, he looked around, "Lots of places to hide a vault around here."
"You check the shipping containers while I check that building over there." She was getting ready to leave when Peter grabbed her hand.
"Felicia."
"What?"
"I'm sorry, Hammerhead did this to you."
"Yeah well, he's about to find out you mess with the cat." She paused as she lifted up her hands and claws jumped out, "You get the claws." She launched of the roof over to the building.
Spider-Man check all the shipping containers, but didn't see anything and he hadn't heard anything back from Black Cat. He raced into the building and found the vault opened already. He opened it wider revealing Sable weapons, a case, and a Black cat plushie.
"Felicia?" He called out, but then noticed the empty case that the data drive was in, "No, no, no, no, you got to be kidding me." He turned around and saw her holding five drives in her hand.
"Tell me you weren't just stringing me along." He yelled at her a bit angrily.
Black Cat said nothing as Peter saw a little hand grip her suit's leg, "Spider meet Ben, Ben meet Spider." She rubbed the little boys head.
Peter felt all his anger melt away as he saw the little boys face. He had his Felicia's white hair and basically Peter's everything. From his eyes, to his nose, to his plump little cheeks. He wore a black shirt and white shorts, in his hand he had Spider-Man plushie.
Peter's eyes went wide, as he looked at her then at Ben, then at her again, "Yo-You weren't lying?"
"Why would I lie about something like this." She replied as she picked up the 4 year old, "I named him after your uncle Ben."
Peter was on the verge of tears, first he had a son, second he was named after the man who took care of him. He was baffled he didn't know what to say, "He's my-" His sentence was interrupted as he heard a voice outside.
"They cleaned out everything." A man's voice rung out, "Check the vault."
Ben looked at Felicia afraid when Spider-Man moved faster than the eye could see gripping his arms around Black Cat's waist he leaped onto the roof. Black Cat tightened her grip on the boy as two men walked through the door.
"Boss, were in." He looked around and saw the plushie and the drive gone, "IT'S GONE BOSS! The drive and the boy are gone."
"Ok new plan kill her and her son." Hammerhead's voice responded, "New plan there's a tracker on that drive find them and kill them. If she's dumb enough to go back to her penthouse, I got some men waiting to blow it sky high."
"What about the drives?" He questioned.
"I don't care about the drives, I want her and her son dead."
"You got it boss." He and his companion left the building. Knowing it's safe he dropped to the ground letting go of Felicia and her son.
"Give me the drives." He asked as she dropped the one she'd stolen earlier into his hand.
"That ones Hammerheads, now I gotta go house hunting since my penthouse is rigged." She said as she placed Ben onto the ground and was getting ready to leave when he grabbed her by the arm.
"Felicia, I need to know. Is he-" He started, but she immediately cut him off.
"Yes he is, but we didn't need you before and we don't need you now." She yelled, Ben was watching the interaction between the his mommy and Spider-Man, "Goodbye Spider." She said sadly as she tossed him a smoke grenade and left with the little boy.
Spider-Man raced out the building, but like before she and Ben were already gone, "FELICIA!" He yelled out into the night air. Peter was heading to Mick's restaurant. After meeting his son, Felicia disappeared with him. After that MJ had called him to Mick's to talk.
Peter landed in the alley and quickly got changed and walked through the doors and saw the redhead sitting at there table with a smile on her face.
"Hey Pete." She smiled and got up to hug him which he returned, "What's wrong?"
He didn't say anything as he stuffed his hand under his chin and looked out to the window and huffed in annoyance.
"Pete, what happened between you and Felicia? Did you guys find her son?" MJ asked, but Pete didn't respond, "Talk to me."
"She gave me the Hammerhead drive and took our son with her without a trace." He answered as he kept staring out the window.
"Pete, she could have lied to you about that, you never know." She put her hand ontop of his and he pulled away with a slight glare, "What are you gonna do now?"
"I'm gonna find them. I need my son to know who I am." He stated which shocked MJ.
"But Pete, she said she doesn't need you, you don't have to go." She replied a bit harshly.
"He's my son, MJ. How could you say that." He yelled at her as he grabbed his bag containing his suit, "We're done MJ. I'm sorry." He left Mick's and ran through the alley changing into his suit and launching into the air.
A Week Later
Spider-Man had spent a week looking for Felicia and Ben, but couldn't find a trace of them. He sat on a building eating a hot dog as he sighed. He had broken up with MJ so he could raise a family with Felicia, but that hasn't going well. Peter sighed in defeat, "Where are you Felicia?"
Peter looked out in the distance when his spider sense went off, but he was too slow and a dart struck the back of his neck, "Wha-no-no! Wh-who's the-there?" He replied droozily as he passed out.
The figure came out with a smile on her face, "Our cat and mouse game officially ends here Spider." She picked up the arachnid and carried him away.
