THE WORLD OF HEARTS
THE BEGINNING
The world was destroyed in the Keyblade Wars. The First World was destroyed by the First War. The Old World was almost destroyed by the Second War but then was destroyed during the Third War. These wars were fought over Kingdom Hearts, an entity made up of hearts that contain ultimate power and wisdom that can only be accessed through the χ-blade, the counterpart, and guardian of Kingdom Hearts. They were fought using powerful weapons made in the image of the χ-blade called Keyblades, swords that look like keys.
From the destruction of the Old World came a new world. A world that was managed by two brothers. The elder brother being the God of Light and the younger brother being the God of Darkness. The Gods were given life by the power of hearts. The God of Light created life to house hearts of their own. The God of Darkness, out of disgust, brought death and destruction to whatever his brother created. Life continued as the God of Light persisted. His younger brother persisted in the form of the Grimm, creatures made to destroy whatever the God of Light created.
Soon enough, the brothers fought each other. They fought and continued fighting until they stopped and agreed to create something together.
And it was the human race.
They gifted mankind the knowledge of the past, which they have possessed long ago. Mankind learned about Magic, Ki, Chakra, Aura, Mana, Reishi, Haki, and many other mystical energies from the two Gods. They crafted the Otherworld with the God of Light creating the Soul Society and Heaven while the God of Darkness created Hell and Hueco Mundo. They left behind the Keyblade for man to wield to fight against the Grimm the God of Darkness left behind.
They left mankind to its own devices. They went to their domains and stayed there as humanity grew without them.
But the world mankind lived in soon went into chaos.
The proliferation of Quirks, the rise of Ghouls, the Grimm spreading like wildfire, the appearance of beings of Darkness known as the Heartless, increased crime and terrorism throughout the world, the total collapse of world order, and the rise of despair drove the world into what would later be known as the Chaos Era. It was a time where chaos roamed free in a world where law and order meant nothing in a world where might made right.
Horrible atrocities were committed during this time. Unspeakable crimes that left the world in shock reverberated all over. The world was no longer safe and there was no hope.
But that all changed when the Symbol of Peace, All Might appear alongside heroes all over the world to combat evil. The discovery of Dust turned the tide against the creatures of Grimm.
And most importantly, a Keyblade Master and his disciples, the Ten Masters of Logos, appeared. The Masters of Logos held ten Sacred Keyblades that commanded ten powerful elements. They fought all over the world to bring peace alongside the heroes.
No one knows who the Masters of Logos are and what they look like. But some say that one day when even the Symbol of Peace is in trouble, the Masters do Logos will come back to save humanity again.
A young boy with black hair and green eyes was holding two hearts in his hands. He was standing on top of a floor of stained glass. It depicted the boy with green eyes and black hair.
"I see… you want to stay with me because it makes you feel safe?" He asked. "Ok… you can stay with me. I don't mind."
The hearts were absorbed into him.
"I'll keep you safe… I promise…"
Riku and Young Xehanort were in a street corner. The two just stared at each other. They ended up in a world that was practically conjured at the expense of the world they used to live in.
All because of the ambitions of a young man who was once Riku's student.
"It would seem your student was right about one thing," Young Xehanort said. "This is only the beginning."
"To what?" Riku asked.
Xehanort took a deep breath before he answered.
"An experiment," He said. "An experiment that has begun…"
