The monster took a swing at Nozel, swinging his sword over his head and slashing down. Nozel put up a shield and shot at the monster. He shot silver silver spears into the Bull. Fuegoleon and Meroeleona both hit the monster with flames. The monster's skin pushed out the spears and healed it's burns.

"What the hell?" Said Nozel's shield began to crack.

'That's impossible' thought Nozel

The others tried attacking it but to no avail. The only one who didn't attack was Yuka. Yuka had observed the monster instead of attacking. He noticed that with every attack the monster took less and less damage. He even timed his movements.

"HEY! COW UTTERS!" Yelled Yuka, smiling "over here!"

'Everyone in the area has been evacuated.' Thought Yuka 'so that should mean that it's fine if I do this.'

"What the hell are you doing?! You idiot!" Yelled Kana

The monster then charged at Yuka. Yuka jumped and let the monster crash into the building behind him. He took out a knife from his belt and ran towards the monster.

The monster then swung his sword at Yuka as he slid on the floor and jumped back up. The boy ran up the sword and cut off the monster's horn. The monster yelled in pain as the boy stabbed the creature in the back.

The monster then ran through multiple houses with Yuka still on his back. Yuka gripped the knife tight so as to not fall. The monster then came to a halt abruptly and knocked off Yuka. The young boy crashed into the wall and jumped off of it dodging the monster's blade.

Yuka then jumped at the monster with full force. He raised his knife and clashed with the monster. He swung his legs up and jumped onto the Bull. He took off his cape and put it on the monster's face. He then stabbed the cape and the monster, attaching his cape on it. He jumped off and landed on his feet.

"Gotcha now!" Said Yuka running towards the monster with a fist of fire

The monster then swung blindly, hitting Yuka in the stomach and throwing him into the wall. Yuka's arm was completely broken. He could barely move it.

"I shouldn't...have gotten cocky." Said Yuka

The monster then threw out the knife and cape. It's wounds healed completely. The monster took a swing down at Yuka only for it to be caught right as it was about to hit him.

"You've gotten strong." Said the person holding up the sword "Kana's taught you well. However, you still have much to learn!"

Ryoto stood in front of him holding the blade with his bare hand. With his other he stabbed the creature's wrist with Yami's sword. Ryoto took the sword and proceeded to cut off the monster's legs with a slash of clear blue water coming from the blade. Ryoto grabbed its body and threw it back to where it originally was, passing the captains.

'What the hell?' Thought Nozel

Ryoto then propelled himself forwards with jets of water that came from his hands. He passed the captains, catching the eye of a few of them.

'It's that kid from the entrance exam.' Thought William

'Water?' Thought Nozel 'and it seems to be pretty powerful.'

The monster's limbs grew back at an astonishing speed and landed on its feet. It's bones had been reconstructed along with its muscles and skin regenerated.

Ryoto jumped up high and kicked the air propelling him towards the monster. He spun the sword in his hand before positioning it with the blade pointing downwards.

Ryoto ran towards the monster, clashing swords with it. Their swords clashed again and again until Ryoto side stepped and punched the sword, shattering it completely. The Bull then punched Ryoto into the ground and grabbed him, throwing him into the air.

While in the air, Ryoto positioned himself upwards. He then made a mana bow in his hands. He pulled the mana string back and let an arrow fly into the monster's shoulder blade.

'Alright here it goes.' Thought Ryoto

Ryoto kicked the air, propelling him forwards once more. He then put dark and light magic into the sword, with water coming off the blade of the sword. He landed in front of the monster and jumped forwards, cutting off its arms. With a single swing he cut off the monster's head.

As it began to regenerate, Ryoto turned around and snapped his fingers, incinerating the monster in black flames. He then clapped his hands together and put his hands down on the ground. Large pillars of rock appeared from the ground and hit the monster, launching it into the sky. The monster was then encapsulated in layers of rock.

He continued to snap his fingers making fire come out from cracks of the rock. With one final snap the rock exploded with chunks of it flying everywhere. A piece of the monster was still alive. It's heart.

As the monster regenerated, Ryoto raised his hand and made a fist, encapsulating the monster in an orb of water. He increased the pressure within the orb keeping the monster still. He then snapped his fingers again, incinerating the monster in the fire. He kept repeating this again and again until the monster finally died. The magic disappeared and the monster's body fell to the ground.

"Rest." Said Ryoto quietly putting the sword into the ground and putting two hands on the hilt of the sword while putting his head down.

As the monster's body began to disintegrate, a note appeared from the monster's body. Ryoto picked up the note and began to read it.

'Hey Ryoto,

We've decided to give you a few challenges to accomplish. We've spread monsters all over the kingdom for you to destroy. This was just a messenger. Hope you liked the surprise! Kisho needed to test something and luckily it worked. So I hope you enjoyed the surprise! In case you were confused, my favorite number is eighteen point five. Yeah yeah I know. I like to keep you on your toes. Oh and about the monster thing, there's around ten groups in total. A few more of them might've escaped, but we intended to release only ten. If you do defeat them you might be surprised by something else. I love surprising you! Well I love something else about you even more...

Sincerely, yours truly' read the note

'Great!' Thought Ryoto sarcastically as he put the note in his back pocket 'just what I needed!'

Ryoto then felt his arms and legs weaken. He'd used too much power at once. He fell down onto the ground exhausted.

"Ryoto?!" Yelled Dorothy "what was that?"

The magic captains went over to see that the monster was already gone. They had seen the giant orb of water. They looked down to see Ryoto on the ground next to Yami's sword.

"H-Hey! Are you okay?!" Yelled Dorothy flipping Ryoto over

Ryoto began to breathe slowly. He'd fallen asleep. Dorothy looked at his calm face and smiled.

"What was that?" Asked Nozel "who made that giant globe of water?"

"It was him." Said Dorothy poking at Ryoto's face

"That's the same person that took down my brother in the entrance exam." Said Nozel

"Yup, sure did." Said Dorothy "I'm real proud of my ace."

"I think we got here a bit late." Said Asta

"You think?" Said Yuno, "The monster is already dead."

"Hey!" Whined Asta "that was rhetorical and you know it!"

"Should a little boy like you be using such big words?" Said Yuno smirking

"Oh come on! I've grown almost half of half an inch!" Yelled Asta

"Where is it...?" Said Yami looking around "ah there it is."

Yami then picked up his sword from the ground and felt a small shock on his palm. He then put it back in its case.

"Back where you belong." Said Yami patting the sword

"I've never seen anything like that before!" Said Asta "so that's how you kill them?!"

"I still don't understand." Said Fuegoleon "we did almost the exact same thing."

"Right. However, you did the attacks individually. Ryoto did it all at once. I don't really know. There aren't many people who can kill those things." Said Kana "he's one of the few people that can do it. Bulls are especially tricky to kill."

"All at once?" Said Nozel "just what exactly is his magic?"

"That's difficult to explain. I don't even know the answer to that. However what I do know is that he mainly uses lightning, water, and fire magic." Said Kana

"Water?" Said Nozel "interesting."

"Don't get any ideas Nozel." Said Mereoleona

"Defensive now are we?" Said Dorothy with a chuckle

"Shut it." Said Mereoleona

"And I'm up!" Said Ryoto jumping to his feet

"You were completely asleep just a moment ago. How'd you-" Said Nozel

"Oh I don't really need to sleep all that much." Said Ryoto while doing stretches

'Exceptional skill. However no known royalty bloodline. Interesting.' Thought Nozel

"Hey I told you to not get any ideas." Said Mereoleona glaring at Nozel

"Oh right. This place is pretty destroyed isn't it?" Said Ryoto looking around "let me fix that. Kana go grab Yuka for me please."

Ryoto put his hands on the ground. Building began to reconstruct and the roads were repaired.

"Whew!" Said Ryoto struggling to stand on his legs "that...took a lot...out of me."

Ryoto then fell down and began to snore lightly.

"How'd he do that?!" Said Asta with a star like gaze, putting his hands in fists and putting them over his open mouth

"I picked a good magic knight." Said Dorothy "Haha! Take that!"

"You only won by chance." Said Yuno

"Don't ruin it!" Said Dorothy

"In any case he probably would've chosen my squad." Said Fuegoleon

"What makes you say that?" Asked Dorothy "your family has attacked him a handful of times."

"Oh...I guess you do have a point there." Said Fuegoleon

"That's what I thought." Said Dorothy

"Why didn't we take him?" Asked Yuno

"We needed to give the other squads a chance right?" Said William "The Black Bulls got Asta and we were lucky enough to have you join the team."

"And I'm up again!" Yelled Ryoto jumping up

"Good job Ryoto." Said Dorothy grabbing his neck and kissing Ryoto on the cheek

"Hmm?" Said Ryoto

"Are you even allowed to do that?!" Said Fuegoleon

"Doesn't matter." Said Dorothy hugging Ryoto

'UGH! I wanna punch her so badly and I don't know why!' Thought Mereoleona

"Well anyways, how do we kill these things?" Said William

"Oh right well...that'd take a while to explain." Said Ryoto falling down "anyways...I'm gonna...go back...to sleep."

Ryoto's seal was glowing. It glowed a faint red.

"This happens from time to time." said Mereoleona

"You'd know." Said Dorothy quietly

"The hell was that?!" Yelled Mereoleona

"Nothing." Pouted Dorothy

Ryoto then woke up three days later. He felt energized and ready. He wasn't aware of how long he was asleep for, however. He looked to his side to see Hayami. She was asleep on a chair and was holding a basket of bread and various fruits.

Ryoto slowly stood up and grabbed a blanket to put on her. As he was putting the blanket on her she grabbed his wrist and stirred awake. She slowly opened her eyes and was surprised to see that Ryoto was awake.

"Oh hey...you're awake." Said Hayami sleepily

"Are you okay Hayami?" Asked Ryoto

"Yeah." Said Hayami rubbing her eyes "I just haven't gotten too much sleep lately and since Dorothy has been out for a while, I've been taking care of you, while still somehow managing to keep this place together. Then we had a drinking party and I ended up here."

"That sounds like a lot. Thank you for taking care of me." Said Ryoto smiling and putting a hand on the back of his head "I really-"

"You know...I think I'll just...just keep sleeping." Yawned Hayami falling on Ryoto "and...it wasn't just me who's been taking care of you. Mereoleona helped a bit..."

Ryoto then lost his balance and fell down onto the bed along with Hayami. Her head on his chest and her arms around him.

"Hey Hayami can you let me get-"

"I'll wake up in a bit…" Said Hayami

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to rest for a bit more." Said Ryoto

After a few more hours, Takai went up to the room where Ryoto and Hayami were sleeping. Takai then opened the door to the room.

"Hey uh Captain's back and she has something she wants to tell you downstairs." Said Takai as he opened the door to see the way they were positioned. "oh...I...I see...excuse me then."

Ryoto had put up the blanket over the two. It was up to their necks and it was difficult to tell whether or not they were wearing clothes.

'Nope not getting involved with any of that.' Thought Takai as he shut the door and turned around

As he was going down the stairs he noticed another pair of footsteps going up the stairs. He looked up to see who it was.

'Heh, good luck with that.' Thought Takai laughing, 'lock the door next time.'

Mereoleona then opened the door to see the two laying on the bed. She clenched her fists, gritted her teeth, and activated her magic. Using a fire paw, she lifted Ryoto off the bed quickly.

"Hey Ryoto! We need to talk." Said Mereoleona glaring at him

"Oh hi, Mereoleona!" Said Ryoto

"Hey...what's ha-Oh hi Mereoleona." Said Hayami jumping off the bed

"Let's go." Said Mereoleona walking off with Ryoto

"Where are you taking me?" Said Ryoto as they were walking down the stairs

"You still need to show us how to kill those things." Said Mereoleona "now that you're awake, you're going to teach everyone how to do just that."

"Sorry but I can't do that." Said Ryoto

"What do you mean You can't?" Said Mereoleona

"The process to teach people how to kill them takes too long. On top of that, not everyone can do it." Said Ryoto quickly. "It's a complicated process that involves both mental and physical challenges and tests."

"Well whatever they are, I'm ready for it." Said Mereoleona

"Yeah...You say that now." Said Ryoto "besides I know that you're strong but others may not be."

As the two arrived at the capital, Mereoleona put him down on the ground. The two walked until they were at the front of the castle. As they walked through the gates Ryoto noticed the immense amount of magic knights that were present.

"Why are there so many magic knights?" Asked Ryoto

"We need as many magic knights to learn this as possible." Said Mereoleona, "so you're going to teach them."

"Like I said before, not everyone is capable of doing it." Said Ryoto

"With as many people as there are here we can extend that possibility to as many people as possible." Explained Mereoleona

"I see that you are here Ryoto." Said Julius

"Oh hi...Wizard...Dude...?" Said Ryoto

"Idiot! He's the wizard king!" Said Mereolrona smacking Ryoto across the head

"We should get started as soon as possible. How long would it take to teach them?" Said Julius

"I don't know. It all depends on how much work they can put in." Said Ryoto "to be fair I don't know if I even feel comfortable teaching them, I'll make an effort."

After a few hours everyone was gathered and they were told to pay attention to the stand where the Wizard King was. There was a podium on top of a terrace in the front and a table down the steps.

There were members from every squad. Some older than others. Ryoto looked over the crowd and smelled the mana coming from each of them.

'Why does it smell like that? It's disgusting. Like rotten eggs in a glass of spoiled milk with a hint of cinnamon on top.' Thought Ryoto

"Today I have gathered everyone here to ask for your help." Said Julius to the crowd "as you may or may not be aware of, there have been creatures appearing more and more frequently. We've had trouble in the past dealing with these things but luckily, we will learn to destroy them in due time. Ryoto Will you please explain?"

"M-Me?" Said Ryoto nervously, "I-I'm not very good at speaking to a large audience."

"You'll do just fine." Said Julius pushing him on stage "sometimes you just need a little push!"

Ryoto's mouth went dry. He walked forwards slowly and stared at the crowd with a blank expression.

"Hi!" Said Ryoto lifting a hand "so I'm...supposed to train you all huh? Um...this'll be a multi-process selection. Since not everyone is able to do it, I'll be judging and evaluating everyone's power as well as your mental and physical attributes. This will likely take weeks."

'That's him?'

'He's just a kid!'

'They can't be serious!'

'They just sent out a child!'

'He's the one that completely destroyed a Silva?! The Silva's must've gotten pretty weak over the years.'

"Okay that one was mean..." Said Solid whining

There were words all over the crowd. Some questioned his power, others questioning his age.

"Maybe he's one of those old guys that use some kind of magic to make himself look younger?"

"Hey I'm almost seventeen!" Yelled Ryoto defensively

"Why should we sit here and get ordered by a kid?!" Yelled someone from the crowd "he's not even old enough to drink!"

"Anyone wanna fight me and find out?" Said Ryoto

A few hands were raised. About ten in total. They all had a kind of condescending look in the way that they looked at Ryoto. Most of them had a smirk on their face.

"Can he really do this?" Mereoleona asked Julius

"I'll allow it. It wouldn't be good if people thought he was weak." Said Julius "we need to show them that he's at a higher level than most of them."

"All right then," Said Ryoto with a smirk, "everyone that's raised their hand, come on down. I'll fight you all at once."

They all made a large space in the middle. Ryoto stood in front of ten people that all had slight smirks on their faces. Ryoto began to laugh.

"The hell is so funny?" Asked a magic knight

"It's just the look on your faces!" Laughed Ryoto, grabbing his stomach "oh wait nevermind that's just how you normally look like."

"Why You-!"

"Haha. Lesson one" Said Ryoto standing up straight and raising a hand "never underestimate your opponent no matter how weak or young they may appear to be."

Ryoto then snapped his fingers and suddenly the other team could not move. Ryoto began to move different fingers on his hands and made them move like puppets. He made them pick their noses, scratch their butts, and then made them lick and smell their hands. He even made them do a little dance.

'What is this?' Thought one of the magic knights

'It feels like my entire body is covered in water.' Thought another magic knight

"How about we take this a bit more seriously?" Said Ryoto

Ryoto then threw them into the air and violently crashed them into the ground. The magic knights found that they could not use their magic at all.

"Lesson two" Said Ryoto "strength does not only lie in numbers. You need to use your own strength to your advantage. That being said, combine your strengths and use teamwork to defeat your enemies."

Ryoto then whistled. It began to rain violently with lightning striking everywhere around Ryoto. Ryoto then unleashed a multitude of flame and lighting attacks onto the magic knights, going in a zigzag pattern. He hit them all in the stomach and kicked some in the face.

Suddenly a spike of ice came from the ground and hit Ryoto, launching him into the air. The last magic knight that was standing was able to use their magic out of desperation. Ryoto's body then exploded into smoke.

"Lesson three" Said Ryoto holding the magic knight's neck in his hand "never take your eyes off your opponent."

Ryoto had switched with a clone as the spike came from the ground. He leaned back, hid using his lurk ability in the shadow of the ice and swapped with a clone. He then used the same ability to lurk behind the magic knight without anyone ever noticing. Ryoto then let go of the magic knight, healed the others, and began to walk off.

"See you all tomorrow." Said Ryoto walking off waving his hand

"What the hell just happened?" Said Asta

"What was that?" Said Yuno

"Is everyone okay?" Asked Charmy

'What was that?'

'He's so cool!'

'He's pretty powerful.'

'He was from the entrance exam right?'

'Now that I take a good look at him, he's pretty cute!'

There were all kinds of reactions from the crowd. Some were weirded out by his powers. Others were intrigued or were even attracted by his strength.

"What the hell are they saying?!" Said Mereoleona

'This kingdom sure does have its fair share of weird people.' Thought Mereoleona with her eyebrow twitching

"So that's the person that defeated my brother? He does seem strong." Said Nebra

"Hm?" Said Mereoleona, turning around "the hell?"

"Such a shame that he's not a noble." Said Nebra

"Eh?!" Said Mereoleona, "what do you mean by that?"

"I'm just saying that he could've been a good addition to the family." Said Nebra "maybe he could've had me as his partner. Noelle would be completely against it so I'd be the one to take him."

"Partner for what?" Asked Ryoto as he picked up a book "sorry to interrupt. I just forgot my book."

"Say, Ryoto" Said Nebra stepping close to him and tracing a finger over his chest

'A step closer and I'll wring your neck.' Thought Mereoleona

"You wouldn't happen to be a noble would you?" Asked Nebra looking into Ryoto's eyes

"In a way." Said Ryoto slightly blushing "why?"

"That's interesting..." said Nebra

"You're a noble?" Asked Mereoleona "you've never mentioned that before."

"Well...back home my family was what the people from here would call a royal. It's a bit messy but I am technically a royal. " Said Ryoto, "Not that I'm exactly proud of it."

"Why don't you come over to our side of the castle sometime?" Said Nebra moving closer to Ryoto and whispered in his ear with a chuckle "I promise we won't attack you."

'Ryoto isn't that gullible.' Thought Mereoleona

"S-Sure!" Said Ryoto blushing

'You've got to be kidding me.' Thought Mereoleona 'he totally is!'

"Great!" Said Nebra walking off "I'll see you later."

As Nebra walked off, she gave Mereoleona a glance over the shoulder and gave a smile to Ryoto. She glanced at Mereoleona with an amused face.

"She seems nice." Said Ryoto turning around "woah! Mereoleona! Calm down!"

Mereoleona had begun to grit her teeth and her hands were in fists. She glared at Nebra as she walked off. Magic begun to circle around her with flames coming from her body.

'Seriously?' Thought Mereoleona, her eyebrow twitching 'I don't care! Not at all!'

"Mereoleona! Mereoleona!" Said Ryoto waving a hand in front of her face "You okay?"

"Yeah! Just fine!" Said Mereoleona angrily

"You don't seem to be okay." Said Ryoto stepping close to her

Ryoto then began to rub his hand on Mereoleona's head. Mereoleona looked in surprise yet she embraced it. She felt embarrassed but warm at the same time.

"W-What do you think you're doing?!" Said Mereoleona as she looked at his arm

"This is what my teacher used to do whenever I felt angry or upset." Said Ryoto, "it helps calm you down."

Ryoto then took his hand off. Mereoleona seemed to be annoyed by something.

'What the hell was I thinking!' Thought Mereoleona

As they walked down the street Ryoto looked forwards to see a crowd of people standing there with most of them being women.

"There he is!"

"How powerful are you?!"

"You're so cute!"

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

"What kind of magic do you use?"

"What kind of girls are you into?"

"Where are you from?"

"Are you a commoner?"

There were several questions that they asked him. Ryoto felt dizzy. They were asking too many questions at once.

"In order I think...I don't know. Thank you. No. Mainly water, fire, lightning, and wind. Not close from here. Kind of but not truly." Said Ryoto

"What kind of girls are you interested in?" Said someone from the crowd

"Why would you want to know that?" Asked Ryoto slightly tilting his head

'Why would you wanna know?' Thought Mereoleona

"We have our reasons!" Yelled someone from the back

'They're really putting me on the spot. Maybe Mereoleona will help me out.' Thought Ryoto, looking at Mereoleona who was looking at him curiously 'huh?!'

'I'm interested to see where this is going.' Thought Mereoleona crossing her arms

"Um...well I...Um...I guess...I-"

"Alright that's enough of that." Said Dorothy coming from out of a shop and standing in front of Ryoto

'Dammit Dorothy!' Thought Mereoleona

So quick note here, apologies for not uploading as frequently as I used to. The issue has mostly been staying true to the manga on certain parts due to the dark triad ark still going on.

Apart from that, I'll be using the metric system for measurements and stuff of that kind in future chapters. I'll put the other measurements in parentheses.
