Me: Wow...it has certainly been a while.
Rose: Yeah! What the heck was up with that?!
Me: Sorry. Anyways...here's a sneak peak. I hope you like it!
I guess the Doctor decides tinkering will help his thought process because he is under the console. Mickey tries making small talk by asking what he's doing and of course gets shut down.
"Doctor." I use my warning voice which I know works considering he freezes. I hear him mumble causing me to leave him alone for now and turn to Mickey.
"Some boyfriend you've got." Mickey grumbles causing me to blush.
I don't deny it and just simply reply with, "He's just winding you up. Ignore it." I still feel guilty so I bite my lip and tell him that I'm sorry.
"Okay."
"I am, though. I am sorry. You deserved better. You do deserve better."
"I looked for you every day. I know what you said, but I hoped it was just an elaborate prank or something. I kept waiting for you to come back." He looked close to crying and I could feel the guilt welling up in me.
"Micks, you gotta know it has only been a few days for me."
"So you didn't miss me?"
"You're my best mate. Of course, I missed you."
"I missed you. Why did you have to leave?"
