OMG! Guys! You're still with me! I'm so happy to read your comments! I was writing before using my phone but unfortunately, it broke and I was so sad because I've written a few chapters and I couldn't recover it. It made me lose interest to rewrite it but just the other day, for some reason I read this fanfic again from chapter one and it pissed me off that it was not finished (though it was my fault)! HAHA! Natsu clenched his fist because of anger. He wanted to blame Lisanna but deep inside he knew that he's the one to blame. He let his fear prevail over his feelings for his wife. And he was protecting the wrong person. He didn't want to lose Lisanna even after everything that she did but he didn't think he'll lose Lucy in return.
Maybe this is what's best for both of us. He thought. But thinking that he'll have to live even for just a day without his wife makes him want to puke. I want my wife... I can't leave it like this...
He calmed himself and put his right hand on his forehead while saying to himself. "I guess they're right… I'm hopeless in this kind of things… tch."
He started walking back to the venue and Grey is walking towards him.
"Call Mira and Erza." He said when he's faced to face with Grey. "We're still leaving tonight to proceed with the business expansion abroad."
Grey was shocked and was about to retaliate but Natsu continued. "It's an order, Grey. I'm not asking you. I'm telling you. And one more thing. Find my wife. I need to know where she is NOW."
Then Natsu walked away.
After seeing Lucy running while crying and Natsu following her, Mira had a bad feeling.
She immediately went to the VIP room and saw Lisanna head down smiling. She slowly walked to her sister leaving the door open and slapped her hard.
"What the hell were you thinking?!" Mira shouted at Lisanna. This is the first time that Mira has felt this kind of anger.
"I'm thinking of getting what's mine. He's my life, Mira. I love him and I'm doing my best to get him back." Lisanna answered plainly while holding the cheek that her sister slapped.
"YOURS?! Lisanna wake up! You gave him up a long time ago. You didn't love him enough to even include him in your dreams. You left him ALONE." Mira said while clenching her teeth. She's so mad that she doesn't even know what she'll do to her sister. Before Lisanna can open her smart mouth again, Mira continued.
"If you love him, you won't be running around ruining his life. You're still a brat and still selfish."
Lisanna bit her lower lip and tears started to fall.
"Stay away from Natsu. You're my sister. I love you with all my heart but if you do something stupid again to Natsu…"
Mira wasn't able to continue her words because Grey who's leaning on the door said while "We have to go Mira. It's the boss's order."
"I'm not done with you yet Lisanna but if you don't want to hear me nagging, I suggest you go back to Europe. Leave." Mira said before leaving Lisanna and shutting the door of the VIP room.
Lucy droves fast while silently sobbing.
She wanted to go somewhere quiet… she wanted to be alone. Her feelings are messed up. This is the last thing that she was expecting today. It was supposed to be a special day not like this.
But as she drove, her mind is just blank. She lost her sense of direction and end up in the busy street of the city. Worse is she was stuck in traffic.
Upon realizing her situation, she laughed at herself while thinking. I am the unluckiest person alive today. I just want some peace even for a moment and yet I'm here. She was about to rest her forehead on the steering wheel when she noticed a big screen in one of the buildings… It was showing a commercial about wedding venues and she smirked. That really is the best commercial I have ever seen. She thought sarcastically then rested her head on the steering wheel.
"Is it "go" already? I want to leave drive as far…" she said to herself when she lifted her head but she was stunned when she saw the screen again.
It says "BREAKING NEWS": Big announcement from the CEO of NAZER corp Natsu Dragneel.
Then it showed a live video of her husband… she immediately went out of the car so she'll hear what he's about to say. Her eyes are still blurry and it pains her to see Natsu but her instinct is telling her to watch this…
After talking to Grey, Natsu went back to his party. He saw her temporary assistant and gave her instruction to let all the media know that he'll be announcing something important. Erza overheard this and immediately confronted Natsu.
"Hey. What is this all about Natsu?! I don't think this is part of the schedule for this party…" she asked worriedly.
Natsu gave her a small smile and responded. "No Erza, this isn't planned at all. But don't worry, I won't do or say anything stupid."
Grey approached them with Mira and said "I know where princess is. I have someone following her. Does she need to be here?"
"Thank you but no. Just keep an eye on her…"
"Natsu..." Mira was teary-eyed "I'm.. I'm sorry for what my sister..."
Natsu tapped her head and said "It's not your fault Mira. Don't apologize for her mistakes. But I don't think I can stand seeing her right now.."
It didn't take long before all the media present is lined up in front of the stage.
He took his necktie off and unbuttoned the first 2 buttons of his shirt while walking to the stage. His heart is pounding fast, he's not sure if what he's about to do will make the situation better or it will make it worse. But he ran out of the best possible option right now and this is the best thing that he can think of. I've been a coward all this time and it's time to make it right. He thought to himself.
When he reached the center, he grabbed the mic and looked at the crowd who's full of VIPs including the Heartfilias then he started his speech.
"First of all, thank you everyone for joining me today. Today is a very special day and it's not just because it is my birthday but because it's my first birthday that I celebrated with... my wife…"
Natsu was forced to stop for a moment because the media started to ask him questions and he felt like the crowd will overpower his voice even if he has a mic.
He smiled and continued "I won't be answering any questions guys, I'm sorry. And yes, all of you heard me right. I am married but unfortunately, it looks like I'd be divorced soon… and that's why I am standing here in front of everyone. I want everyone to know that Natsu Dragneel of Nazer Corp is no longer a bachelor and even if my wife will divorce me, that will no longer change. The media once called me a "womanizer" which is something that I will not deny. At some point in my life, I've been like that…" he laughed at his confession before continuing. "But that's in the past, and right now, I want everybody to know that there's already a Mrs. Natsu Dragneel so please don't associate my name with any other woman…"
"Who's the lucky woman?!" asked one of the media.
He smiled looked at him and said, "I told you I won't be answering any questions but in time you will all meet her." Then he looked at the camera with a serious expression and said "Wife if you're watching this, I just want you to know that I regret my silence when you were asking me questions earlier. And that is why I will answer all of it right now. I do care about you; Luce and your place in my life? You're my wife and haven't I told you before that... you're my queen? I know it will be hard for you to believe everything that I'll say that's why I am doing this. I want everyone to know that I already found my queen and I'm head over heels for her. I'll be leaving tonight for some prior business appointments and it's also to give you time and space to think. Mrs. Natsu Dragneel, wife, Luce, I'll be waiting for you."
