I don't know why but I always laugh whenever I read your comments like you're ranting and stuff. I love Natsu and Lucy, actually I love fairy tail overall and I love writing this story because of all of you. Sometimes, when I read your comments, I'm like, "Huh! Were thinking the same thing!" LOL

Anyway, enough of my comments and let me know what you think about this chapter, ayt? I'll be waiting!

It was already late when Natsu finished his work. Almost all the major events were done today and this was the busiest day since they got here. It was the right decision not to wear his usual tie and suit clothes. He wanted to cool his head before leaving a voicemail to Lucy because he just received the report today about her and he's not happy with it.

Gray handed him the pictures and the report.

"You should learn how to make her smile like that." Gray teased.

He glared at his friend who's top naked and is annoying him.

"Haven't seen her laugh like that when she's with you." Gray continued to annoy him. "And I haven't even seen you dated her."

He's face is already burning because of jealousy and now Gray is making things worst for him but he can't even retort because everything that he's saying is true. He ignored him and started walking to the direction of his room.

"Hey, I'm not done yet bro."

Natsu stopped walking but did not turn to face Gray.

"I'm serious, you should learn how to make her laugh and start by admitting how you really feel about her. I'll be my life that that's the only thing that will save your sorry ass right now."

Again, he's right. He didn't want to argue because he's definitely right. So, the only response he gave him was "Thank you bro." but he has to at least get back at him so added "Don't sleep naked."

That earned him a laugh from Gray and he proceeded to his room.

He got out of the shower after a few minutes. It didn't calm him down a bit. He's jealous and worried thinking that Lucy might fall for another man. He stood in front of the mirror while he's drying his hair then he looked at their wedding ring, he's wearing both as a necklace. He rested his both his palm on the table in front of him then inhaled and exhaled a few times to calm himself.

He knew that he deserves this pain. He's jealous of that blonde man because he can make her smile like that, he's jealous because she looked so calm on all the pictures taken when she's with him. He knew that what this man is doing is the total opposite of what he'd done to his wife. The blonde man makes her laugh while he makes her cry. That other man had the guts to take her out on a date but he on the other hand never even thought of asking her out because he was contented in everything that she serves at the table and he was happy to just be near her. And it looks like the blonde man was trying to win her over while he unintentionally pushed her away.

He breathes heavily for the last time, then got out of the bathroom. He dialed his wife's number and placed the phone on the table while he continues drying his hair with a towel. His mind is still wandering.

When the ringing stopped, he also stopped what he's doing and he sat at the edge of his bed with the towel still hanging on his head then he started talking "Hi Luce... Did you have fun today? I heard you took the day off, I'm glad you rested. I miss you, Luce... so much. I'm sorry I couldn't make you smile… I'm sorry if I haven't asked you out even once. I'm sorry that I kissed Lisanna that day. I'm sorry for being a coward... and I'm sorry for not telling you that… I love you. Just tell me if you want me home and I'll be there as fast as I can…"

"Go home."

He was cut off and was shocked when he heard someone respond on the other line. He reached for his phone and just realized that he wasn't recording a voicemail at all, his call was actually answered by Lucy. A small smile curved his lips but at the same time he's nervous…

"Luce…" then the line got disconnected.

He stared at his phone for a few minutes before remembering her words. "Go home."

Lucy collapsed on her bed after hanging up the phone. She just answered his call and she even asked him to go home. How can she be so reckless?! She answered the phone because she thought it was an emergency at the hospital. She was sleepy that she forgot that she has 2 phones now. But remembering his words, she doesn't know if she wants to cry or laugh... Did he just tell me that he loves me? She kept asking herself…

She got up then looked at her phone. "Are you playing with my feelings again you idiot? Huh. I won't fall for it."

Then she started preparing for her day.

Before she left the house, she received another phone call but this time it was Sting.

"Good morning!" he greeted her.

"How many chocolates have you eaten? You sound like you have a sugar rush. It's still early in the morning…" she ranted.

"And you're already nagging me. I said good morning."

"Good morning, Sting."

"Good girl, I did not eat any chocolates or sugar. I'm just happy to start my day bugging you." Then she heard him laugh.

"Ugh, you're a pain, what do you want?"

"You." He responded without thinking but he immediately said "I want to ask you, I mean. Lunch? Your treat?"

"You're asking me out and it's my treat?! How can that be?" she's smiling despite of his unusual request which she's been getting used to.

"I'm doing you a favor. You see, you don't have to eat alone if you'll have lunch with me…"

"You're just being stingy."

"C'mon. You're the heiress of the Heartfilias', you won't get bankrupt because of just one meal."

"Alright. Alright. I'll call you later."

"Okay. See you!" Then he hung up before she can respond.

He's so weird but fun to talk to and be with. She's thankful he called before she starts her day. He calmed her down.

It was almost lunch time and Lucy was about to call Sting but there was an emergency. Jellal asked for her help with one of the patients and she forgot to call him.

After a few hours, Sting did not receive any calls from Lucy.

He was waiting for the blonde doctor because she wasn't answering his calls. They were supposed to have lunch but she did not call him so he decided to visit her in the hospital. After asking a few nurses, he found her. She's reading something while walking slowly. He followed her silently and when she stopped for a moment, he didn't miss the chance the move closer, and then he whispered to her ears "Dr. Heartfilia…"

Lucy was so surprised that the papers she was reading slipped out of her hands.

Sting laughed when he saw her expression then he immediately picked up the papers that were scattered on the floor. Lucy did not help him though; she was glaring at him.

He got up when he finished collecting all the papers then he handed it to her but she's still glaring at him.

"Hey, if eyes can kill, I'm already dead now." He said while pinching her cheeks lightly.

She blushed at his action she's still stubborn and continued glaring at him.

"Really Lucy, I'm hurt and I'm hungry. Then that's how you treat me?" now he's pouting like a small child.

That's when she remembered that she was supposed to have lunch with him but there was an emergency that she had to attend to and she totally forgot about him.

She sighed and stopped glaring. "I'm sorry there was an…"

Sting grabbed her free hand "No need to explain, let's go. I'll treat you to a cup of rice. Anything else extra, you'll have to pay for it." He looked at her with his signature smile then started walking.

Lucy followed since she didn't have a choice, he's holding her hand. She should let go but his hand feels warm so she kept it that way. "Still Stingy as ever huh?" she said. That earned her a smirk from him.

"You won't change my mind woman, whatever you say."

She smiled and continued teasing him. "I can only order 1 rice and 1 viand, right? How about I order a bowl of family-size rice and viand? That's definitely beyond your budget and it'll surely break your that wallet of yours that you care too much." She said with a grin.

He looked at her with a serious face for a few seconds. "You won't be able to break my wallet but you can surely break my heart." That's what he wanted to respond but instead, he grinned at her and poked her nose. "A big no. You won't get to order what you want because I'm saving for my future. But if you insist, you can get a bowl of extra rice but in return, let's have another lunch tomorrow?"

"Yep. Another free lunch for me, can I get a coffee too?"

He wasn't expecting that response but he's glad to hear it. "And a slice of cake too."

Lucy laughed at him. "You might get sick after paying for tomorrow's lunch."

"Then I'd gladly lay down on the operating table…"

"What?!" she shrieked.

"What?"

"What operating table? What are you talking about?!" Lucy shook her head while talking.

"If I get sick, you can operate on me. I'd be happy for you to touch my ever so toned body." He joked.

"If you get sick, I'll give you a prescription and.." she stopped walking and looked at him intently. "I'll charge you my doctor's fee." Then she continued walking.

"That's not fair!" he retorted.

"Go home."

It was the first thing that he remembered upon waking up. He smiled a bit then he reached for his phone. It was 5 am. Right after Lucy hung up yesterday, he contacted Mira and told her that he'll be going home today. She agreed but she told him that she'll need to speak with him before he leaves but she was too tired last night so she scheduled a meeting with him this morning.

There was a soft knock on his door.

"Natsu, are you up?" It was Mira.

He got up and reached for his shirt. Once he's fully dressed, he opened the door but Mira was already sitting in front of the big table together with Erza and Gray.

"C'mon sleepyhead, let's have breakfast," Erza told him and signaled him to a seat.

He nodded and walked to his friends. While eating breakfast, Mira told him that he just needs to sign a few more documents and she'll take care of the rest. But there was a catch.

"I'll represent you Natsu so you can go home but promise me one thing," Mira said in a serious tone.

"Anything, Mira."

"Promise me that this time you won't mess up." Then she reached for something from her bag. "I got what you asked for." She handed him a small box.

"I'll be staying with Mira, it's not fair to leave her here alone." Erza said, "Gray will be going home with you."

"Yeah, I'm afraid he'll do stupid things once we get back home so that's just the perfect arrangement," Gray responded then he drank his remaining coffee.

Natsu is looking at the box that Mira gave him. "I promise I won't mess up this time…" then he looked at his friends confused "but why do I feel like you are siding with her instead of me?"

"Because we are really siding with her and not you," Erza responded plainly.

"Yeah." Gray agreed and Mira gave the final blow. "Because you're more of an idiot than Gray when it comes to Lucy. You don't deserve her but because you're Natsu and we're your friends… No… We're you're family…. we know how important she is to you so we're giving you a chance to make up with her. The next time you mess up…" Mira poked the sausage in her plate hard before continuing "we'll be the first one to hide Lucy from you."

Erza second the motion, she sliced the strawberry cake on her plate hard. "No matter how good you are Natsu, you can't take me, Mira, and Gray down at the same time. Remember that."

"Sorry bro, but I totally agree with them. I'll be the one to punch you in the face first." Gray said it while smiling but Natsu can feel that he means every single word.

"If I mess up again, I'll be hanging myself first before you all knew it." He's smiling but his eyes are dead serious.

"You haven't started making up with your wife and here you are, you're already saying things that will make her cry even more..." Gray said mischievously.

His girlfriend's just laughed at Gray's remark and he just smiled at them.

His heart is so glad that they cared so much about Lucy, his other half…
