Upon arriving at his penthouse, Natsu went directly to the shower. He wanted to go to a shooting range right now to blow off some steam but he didn't want to waste his time. He's back because of his wife and that's his priority right now. All he can do to calm his boiling blood is to shower.

While Gray was waiting for Natsu, he counted all their bags and smiled. "Hmm. Just perfect." He said out loud.

After a few minutes, Natsu's back to his living room, and he's looking at Gray who looks excited on all the paper bags scattered around. "What's all these?" He asked his friend who's made himself at home and who's currently topless.

"It's been a while since I chilled here in your place.. hmm.." Gray said while sitting on the sofa with a bottle of water in his hand and eyes glistening while looking at all the bags in front of him.

"Gray, I'm asking you what's all these?" He picked up one bag then peaked inside; it has a few bottles of an expensive alcohol drink. He looked at Gray with a questioning look.

"Erza did some shopping to save your sorry ass." He stood up then walked to Natsu, he rested his arms on Natsu's shoulder. "All of these… is for you to get the princess back."

"Hmm.." He scratched his head and went to the kitchen.

"Of course, we used your card to pay for all of these," Gray said with a grin.

"I figured."

"So, any other plans today? Do you plan to meet Lucy today or you'll cool your head first?"

Natsu went back from the kitchen with a bottle of water in his hand.

"I'm planning to meet her. Can you arrange more security today?"

"Why?" Gray asked because Natsu doesn't normally request more security. Natsu is confident with his skills and besides, he's also with him. "I'll go to the hospital to meet Lucy."

"Okay.. then why do you need more security?"

"Because I don't plan on disguising myself."

Grays's eyes widened. "Are you crazy? That's more than a public place Natsu."

"Crazy? Yeah. Maybe. That's why I'm asking for more security right?"

"Tsk. I'll make the arrangements now, I bet you wouldn't want them anywhere near you right?"

Natsu smiled at his friend. "You just know me too well."

An hour later, Gray was done with his task. "Let's just wait for another 30mins before we leave. Just to be sure.." Natsu understood and he just nodded.

When they arrived at the hospital, Natsu asked at the nurse station if he can have an appointment with Lucy. The nurses immediately recognized him and because he's Natsu, they wanted to grant his request but he was declined because Lucy had many consultations scheduled for today. He was about to bribe the nurse as his last option but Jellal showed up.

"Who do we have here…" Jellal said with a smile. He signaled Natsu to follow him in the empty hallway. "What the heck are you doing here?"

"To see my wife.." he can say that Jellal is mad and he won't complain.

"Natsu. I know, of all people, I'm the last person who should be telling you this because you know my story. You know how big of an idiot I am for what I did to…" he sighed "Get your shit together Natsu. You've already caused him too much damage, if you're here and you're still unsure of your feelings for her then I'll personally kick your idiot ass out of here."

Natsu chuckled. "I'll let you shot me in the head if I don't get things right this time."

Jellal smirked. "You're that confident huh?

Natsu looked down while touching his necklace… the rings that act as pendants.

"Bro, I love my wife and you're right. I've caused her too much pain already because I was unsure of how I felt for her. But that's not the case now. I know now what I want and you know me, I'll get what I want." He said plainly then he was confused with Jellal's reaction. Jellal smiled then touched his head like he was a kid.

"You were still a teenager when I left and now…" Jellal laughed. "I never thought you'd end up being a bachelor this famous" Then he noticed the lowkey security scattered everywhere "that you had to have these many securities in one area."

"Huh? So, you've noticed..."

"Of course."

"You can stop searching bro, Erza is not one of them." Natsu grinned.

That earned him a light tap on the head from Jellal. "Bastard," Jellal said while smiling. "I'll set up the appointment for you. But I want to again for the last time… Is that how you really feel about Lucy?"

Natsu's smiling. "I love her."

Then Jellal left him for a few minutes and when he got back, he handed him a patient information form.

"Your wife sometimes has a smart mouth and kinda witty so, you might get thrown out before you can even say her name. So, use this as leverage."

"Thank you." Natsu started to walk away but he remembered. "By the way, I've been threatened by so many people including Erza, Mira and Gray if I mess up so I don't really have any plan to mess things up."

Lucy's last patient just walked out of the door. It was a good thing that she had her lunch, she didn't know that she had that many patients scheduled for today. She stood up from her chair and turned to look at the window behind her, she also stretched her arms upwards because she felt stiff from all those consultations. She heard a knock on the door but did not bother to respond or look, she thought it was probably Jellal and he'll just let himself in.

When she heard the door opened and closed again, she smiled before turning around.

"Jellal, I was wondering if Nat.." she started talking but her eyes widened when she saw who just came in. It wasn't Jellal and it was the last person that she expected to show up. It was Natsu.

He was wearing a white turtle neck long sleeve, black pants, and a slightly long black coat. His hair is quite messy and his eyes are staring at hers.

She can't find her voice… she just stared back at him.

Natsu walked to her desk and gave her what looks like a patient information form.

She took it and looked at the form. Both of them are still silent.

"May I sit down?" she heard him ask. Hearing his voice made her rattle a bit. "Doctor?"

She sighed before responding "Yeah. Please." She also sat on her chair at the same time that Natsu sat on the chair on the other side of her desk.

"How are you, Luce?" he asked without taking his eyes off her.

She still did not respond and continued to stare at the patient's form that he handed her. She wasn't sure if she's happy or it pains her to see him. Some part of her wants to smack him in the face while there's also a part of her who wants to just jump at him and embrace him. After a few minutes of silence, she found the courage to speak.

"Are you sick Natsu?" it's not what she wanted to say but that's what went out of her mouth.

"You're the doctor, shouldn't you check if I'm sick?" he said with a coy smile and still looking at her intently.

She looked at him in the eyes and despite his smile, his eyes are definitely betraying him. It doesn't look and feel happy. How are you Natsu? She wanted to ask him that but of course, that would be the last thing she'll gonna say today. While she drifted into her own world, Natsu reached out to his pocket then stood up and started to lean towards her.

Her heart skipped a beat and was about to protest when she realized what he's doing. He was putting a necklace on her and before he completed the task, he made sure to whisper in her ears... "I'm home, Luce."

Everything happened so fast and she felt like she blacked out for a few seconds. When she looked at him again, he was back on his seat and this time he was not staring at her face but rather on the necklace that she's now wearing. She touched and also looked at the necklace, it was a gold necklace with an infinity pendant and half of the pendant is covered with diamonds.

It was beautiful but she's still confused. Why is he giving her this now, it's not like they are okay. She has a lot of questions on her mind and it's about to explode but luckily Natsu started talking again.

"Sorry, I didn't have time to shop so… that's the only thing I got for you from my business trip." His voice is low and this time he's no longer looking at her or the necklace.

"Thank you but I think this is too much Natsu." Don't give me stuff that will just confuse me more… that's what was on her mind but she didn't want to open up that topic. "Why are you here?"

"I wanted to see you…"

"You've seen me already… so, why are you still here?" she can't be swayed by his actions right now, it's not enough. This time she was staring at him with a blank look.

"I've missed you, Luce, and looking at you for a few minutes does not suffice. I haven't seen or even talked to you for a long time…"

"It's not my problem Natsu." She said firmly.

"I know, but you're my problem, Lucy." He can't say he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment because he knew all too well that he deserves every single bit of bitterness and sarcasm from his wife.

"Leave now, please…"

"I can't..."

"And why is that?" she asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Because I've paid for a patient-doctor consultation Dr. Lucy Dragneel." He said with a small smile on his lips.

She was about to retort but, he did give her a patient information form so he's kinda right.

"Heartfilia. Dr. Heartfilia. I don't use your last name, remember, it was only valid in papers." She said with a smirk.

"Okay." He did not argue, he's just happy to speak with her though he was getting rejected over and over again. "So, won't you check up on me Dr.?"

She sighed. "Okay, so tell me how are you feeling?"

"Not good."

"Can you please explain more?" she asked while reaching out for her pen.

"Sure… I feel pain in my chest…" he said and at the back of his mind, he'll continue it with... because I've been missing you too much.

"I can't sleep even after a long busy day..." because you're not beside me.

"My heart feels like it's gonna explode..." because I've been seeing you laugh and smile with another man.

"I always have a headache" because I can't figure out how to make it up to you.

"and my heart rate is constantly high…" because I'm nervous that you'll reject me when I say that I love you.

Lucy wasn't able to write anything… she was just staring at him.

"Dr? Did you get all that?" Natsu asked.

"Uh… yeah, so, when did you first experience these…" Natsu responded before she can even finish her sentence.

"12 days ago…"

Lucy is staring at him again… then she cleared her throat and took the stethoscope that's in her drawer. She stood up, walked in his direction, and told him to breathe in and out. She bent forward for a bit and placed her stethoscope on his chest. He did as she instructed but her face is so close to him and he wanted to pull her for a tight hug and kiss and smell her hair. He missed her so much but he knows where he stands right now and he doesn't have the right to do any of that. So, instead, he just whispered… "Can you hear my heart calling out your name?"

Lucy who's already having a hard time focusing and listening to his breathing, totally lost her concentration when she heard his whisper.

She hurriedly went back to her seat and started writing prescriptions… she's not really sure what she's writing she's just thinking, headache and the medicine for that, insomnia then the medicine.. her head is a mess. She gave the paper to Natsu and Natsu gladly accepted it.

He let out a small laugh and commented "You have very good handwriting but your prescription…"

She doesn't curse but at that moment she knew she messed up Sh*t what am I doing! She asked herself silently.

Then Natsu stood up and raised the paper she gave him "The only prescription that I need is you... but thank you for this." He smiled and walked to the door.

She was speechless again but she just noticed… he's in public but he's not wearing a hoodie jacket? He doesn't even have a cap or anything to disguise himself… before she can control herself, she already called out his name.

"Natsu…"

Natsu stopped upon hearing her call his name. He turned to face her. "Hmm?"

"Are you going out there with just looking like that?" she asked in confusion.

"Hm? Looking like what?" he looked at his shirt then his pants then back to Lucy.

Attractive. It was the right word to say but she went with "Like your usual self. I thought it's dangerous for you to roam around in public places…"

"Ah.. yeah, you're right. That's why Gray and some other security is waiting for me outside."

"Oh…"

He turned his back to Lucy "and I've decided that I don't have to disguise myself when I'm going to see you. I'm happy to see you today… I'll call you, Luce."

Then he's gone and he left Lucy with a headache.

"So, you're back… that's why you haven't left any messages today…"
