I have two other MHA crossovers and an au that could be replacing this one once it's finished being posted. One of them is from quite some time ago while it has Luffy with the all all quirk but he goes to a different school with only one piece characters. It has a baby Luffy segment where he's just gotten this overpowered quirk at four years old and makes friends with MHA characters before that segment is over and it goes to the op characters. He is not ooc in that one. So there's that one!
Then there's one that's Ace-centric, who is brothers with Midoriya and when he got his quirk hand me down from All Might, Ace got his own quirk hand me down since both were quirkless, but his is that he can turn into a dragon. It doesn't go well for Ace like it does for Midoriya, so there's angst and fluff. Sabo and Marco are also main characters.
And then there's the au, where Luffy is very ooc after being tortured as a child and is attempting to live life happily again. Since it's an au, it's exclusively one piece characters in the mha world setting. Lot's of family fluff and good friends. They still go to UA but again, all OP characters.
vote 1 for overpowered, not ooc Luffy.
vote 2 for the hand me down dragon quirk with Ace and Midoriya (some boyxboy relationship in that one)
and 3 for the au.
"Ace, Ace!" Luffy shouted, latching onto his arm suddenly. Ace was surprised and looked down on him, since he was shorter. Not nearly as small as Mineta, though. Sabo had his brows raised, too, and Midoriya was talking to Iida. it was lunch time, and they were all eating before Luffy zoomed over. He didn't really act his age.
"What's up?" Ace asked.
"Can you shrink and grow big? As yourself? Or can you only turn into animals and stuff?" he asked in awe, voice sounding really excited. Ace hadn't ever tried to grow his own body or shrink it. But it would be changing his appearance. Sabo raised his brow, never thinking of that either. Marco said he would have Mt. Lady's quirk then, too.
Ace said, "I've never tried it, to be honest. I don't see why. If I can just change the shape of my body, it might work." Now he wanted to try. So, after art class, which was surprisingly interesting, he got to the training grounds early. It was the second day of school, and Ace wondered what they'd do every day. Would each day be different?
He and Marco got there early. Ace attempted to enlarge his body, but only got to the size of about All Might. Not nearly as large of Mt. Lady. He was bummed. "Maybe you can learn it later? This was your frist try, right?" Marco asked. Ace nodded, shrinking down. "Why don't you try getting small?"
The teen did so, and turned into the size of a cat. Though this was unsurprising. He could turn into a toddler easily. Being small was nothing new. "I've tried this before, but I don't go too small," Ace said. When everyone came over, Luffy asked to know if he could try. "I couldn't. But maybe I can another time."
"Yeah! That would be awesome!" Luffy gushed. Then he went back to his two best friends. They seemed like very different people, but were clearly close. Luffy was such a bubbly and young personality. They all entered Ground Beta, in a building that was not destroyed. They would be doing a new exercise, much different than the day before.
All Might was already there, and they were all in front of a screen. "Greetings, young heroes!" he said loudly, still beaming. The class, most of them, were still amazed they were being taught by All Might, the number one hero. Ace wondered why now? What was special about this year? Did he get bored of hero work?
"Today will be much different than yesterday! Today will be our first lesson on stealth practice! You will be in groups of two again. To pass the activity, you will need to make it all the way to the ending point without setting off any sensors! To be sneaky and silent. Many times, we must be as quiet as we can to get people to safety if a villain is near."
Ace knew he'd be great at this. They were split up, and Ace was teamed with Jiro. When their turn started, she had noisy boots, so she took them off. But the halls were incredibly echoey. Any noise was amplified. To make it through silently, Ace turned into a tiger. He had the paw pads enlarged and with fur in between the toes to keep the footsteps quiet. Jiro got on his back as he quietly and slowly made his way to the ending point.
When they made it silently, they won, and gave high fives. "My quirk wasn't good for this at all. Usually I make noise with it," she said in good spirit. They made it to the hub. Bakugo, Zoro, Kaminari and Hagakure had all failed. Despite Hagakure being invisible, she ended up stepping on a candy wrapper, which got her and her partner out.
Next up was Sabo and Luffy. They went quietly, both barefoot. Neither had a quirk good at being silent, so they walked as slow and quiet as possible, but Luffy slipped on a step and fell down the stairs, bouncing like a rubber ball and landing at the bottom just fine, even though Sabo and some in the hub were worried.
Of course the noise made them lose, but it was just good that he was unharmed. But they lost. Law just teleported himself and his partner, Ashido, up to the top, switching places with the sensor. Law seemed almost lethargic, not really needing to move to use his overpowered quirk. Ashido was annoyed with this, but they passed anyways. Everyone else did alright. Midoriya passed with Sanji, both walked slowly. Most people didn't use their quirks since they weren't suited for it, and just walked as quietly as they could.
After class, they all went back to change, and Ace didn't really want to go home. So he went to Sabo's, Midoriya having a doctor's appointment, so not coming. His mom picked him up, and Ace flew to Sabo's home with his best friend on his back. "I went flying with Marco yesterday. It was really fun."
"I'm glad we're all making more friends," Sabo said happily. Ace nodded in agreement. "So, why don't you want to go home?"
Ace wasn't surprised he caught on. He sighed, and finally said it was lonely. He could practically hear Sabo's sad frown. "I just don't really have anybody. Only you and Midoriya. And only you know."
Sabo said, "You could always see if you can come live with me. We're already more like brothers than friends." Ace shook his head. He couldn't just up and leave his place. He lived there alone, he had responsibilities. He landed at Sabo's house, and they went to his room to work on homework.
Then they went outside after finishing their work, and practiced with their quirks. Ace was trying to age himself while Sabo was attempting a thick cloudy mist. It was wet inside. But it would be a good sitratcition if he ever needed one. Ace turned into a toddler and started wailing just to start acting.
"You have no tears." Ace formed wetness on his cheeks, even if he couldn't cry on demand. "Nice. You know, you could totally be manipulative with your quirk. Make people see things they don't want to - horrible things."
Ace knew that was true. "I can try to form injuries," Ace said in curiosity, never having tried it. He changed his body so his arm was bent in half, as if it was broken in half. Sabo was disgusted. Ace formed blood around the break part. "Let's try something even worse," Ace said, and made a hole in his gut.
"Stop, that's enough!" Sabo shouted, covering his eyes. He suddenly started to cry.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you! I was just trying new things," Ace said hurriedly, putting his hand on Sabo's shoulder, feeling really bad but also very surprised. Sabo rarely got emotional like this. Always the strong one, looking at the bright side of everything. But seeing Ace severely injured like that would no doubt bother him. But this much?
Sabo asked him to not do that in front of him again, trying to get himself under control. "I won't. But why are you crying?"
"My best friend looked like he had a cannon through his gut! Of course I'd cry!" Sabo replied.
"But… I don't understand."
"Ace, you're the most important person to me." Ace was shocked. What about Sabo's brother? Sabo looked so sad at the disbelieving look on Ace's face, and walked forward to hug him. "You're worth being upset over, Ace."
It was Ace's turn to cry. He'd never felt worth much to others. Yeah, he chose to isolate himself, but still, he'd never felt so confident that he was very important to other people. Sabo rubbed his back, and Ace went home that night feeling important. More important than he'd ever felt before. He picked up some pizza on his way home, calling ahead of time and arriving there when it was ready.
Then he flew home, distracted a bit. He ate in silence, lost in his thoughts. Sabo saw him as family, too. He finally had family, even if it wasn't how it was to everyone else. To everybody else, it was relatives, mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents. He had none, though. Well, he had a brother. That was enough. It had to be enough, really.
He went to bed feeling satisfied. He rolled onto his side with a smile, his face pressed against his soft pillow. Ace fell asleep with a sigh. A happy one.

"Pass," Ace said when he was elected as class president the next day. Katakuri was in the corner, letting the students choose their class president. Ace got three votes to be class president, but he had enough responsibilities. He didn't want even more. So, the person with the second number of votes was Midoriya, who also didn't want to, but didn't know how to turn it down.
He was glad he was voted for even if he had no interest in that position. The smart one, Yaoyorozu, who could create anything she wanted, was vice president. Everybody had wanted to be president besides a small handful, so they were bummed they weren't chosen. The smart girl was happy with the position, Midoriya wasn't.
"If you don't want the position, speak up. It's better than faking it and not putting in a full effort," Katakuri said, obviously seeing the look and body language of the shorter freckled boy. He nodded, and shyly said he didn't feel right for the position. The teacher stood. "Decide by the end of the day. Lunch is soon."
He seemed cold, but also like he cared about his job. He wasn't a jerk to them at all, which was a relief. Ace wouldn't want a mean teacher at all. "Do you not like responsibilities?" Marco asked curiously on their ways to lunch. Sabo said Ace was very responsible, but it wasn't like he liked being so. "I see. I hate responsibilities, to be honest."
Ace did too, but he couldn't exactly shrug them off. He had to go grocery shopping today. Marco hung out with Ace a lot. He seemed to want to be good friends. Ace had no problem with that, and neither did Sabo. New people were welcome, as he knew he was irreplaceable as of now. Midoriya was still a best friend, too. But not in the same caliber as Sabo, who knew everything about him and still loved him like a brother.
"Sabo-kun, how long have you known Ace?" Koala asked at the table. Ace was glad he could afford the food here, as it was all damn delicious. He wasn't the best cook, nothing very fancy, but he did make varied meals. Sabo said he'd known him for almost three years. "How'd you meet?"
"In seventh grade. We were in the same class both years," Sabo replied. He was sitting with the other two and Koala and Marco. Koala was apparently homeschooled until high school, so it was a big change, but Ace thought she was doing well with such a drastic change. "What about you, Marco? Where did you go to school?"
"I was in Tokyo for seventh grade, but then moved to a new apartment. It wasn't to this city, but we moved closer for other reasons. So I left most of my other friends behind. I didn't get along well with others." Ace was surprised. "They didn't like me for my quirk. It was too overpowered. I did use it to get to places, flying because that's easiest."
Ace frowned. Poor guy. "But now I'm surrounded by people with awesome quirks, so it's better here already. And now I have a flying buddy, too, which is awesome." Ace smiled and nodded. After lunch, they headed to the hero course, and Ace was happy. He clearly made friends already, and could tell he and Marco would be good friends. And Sabo didn't look upset with him hanging out with someone else.
He knew that he was incredibly special to Ace, and that was enough. Hopefully Midoriya realized that as well.

Ace had to cancel his plans to hang out at the park with his friends because his plumbing got messed up. The whole apartment did. So he had to wait for the repairmen to come and fix it. For now. He had duct tape over it, a bucket beneath the pipe that he tossed out the window once it got full. It was stressful. He had been looking forward to the park, too!
He was angry that his unit was dead last as he'd tossed out over 25 buckets, up and down throughout the apartment for hours. When the repairmen did come, he was frustrated and short tempered, barely speaking to them in his adult form. They didn't try to talk to him or anything, but they fixed the plumbing quickly.
It was just lucky there was no water damage. When he called Sabo afterwards, he vented about how they didn't seem to care about the inconvenience he had for them only sending out a few guys for such a large complex. Sabo thought he sounded like an old person. "Well it's an old person problem, isn't it?" he said a bit snappy.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to piss you off," Sabo said sincerely. Ace sighed and apologized for being testy. "No, I understand why. You had to cancel plans cause you had to be there for them to come. Must be frustrating, huh?" he said sympathetically.
Ace sat on the couch and agreed. Sabo said he never wanted to grow up and live on his own. "I'd rather mooch off of my family," he joked. Ace smiled. "Well, it's not like you'll always be on your own anyways."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, when you find somebody you want to be with, or kids, or maybe a room mate. You only live on your own now cause of your age. You know, once you hit 16, this won't be too weird. 16 year olds live on their own, sometimes, legally. It's just different since you're fully supporting yourself, right?" Sabo reasoned. It was a good point. When he turned 16, he wouldn't be all that weird for living on his own.
Ace heard a commotion on Sabo's side, the sound of breaking. "The hell?!" he shouted. Ace worriedly asked what was wrong. "Those annoying kids from across the street threw a baseball through the window!" He then started yelling at them from the broken window. "Well, I should clean this up. I'll see you later, 'kay? Maybe I can come over and we can have a sleep over? We'll have to sneak me in since you live right next to Marco."
The freckled teen was more than willing to have Sabo come over. The call ended, and Ace looked at the kitchen, walking to the fridge. He wanted something other than ramen tonight, but didn't want to go out. So he ordered groceries to come to his apartment. That would be the easiest.
When it did come, he made some curry and rice. He made enough for two dinner's worth. Then he went to bed after eating.
The next day, Sabo did come over, with Ace making sure Marco wasn't around, hurrying him inside and locking the door. "Hey, you know what would be cool? You could draw something other than porn. What if you started doing commissions?"
Ace shrugged. He'd thought about it before, but he didn't know how he'd feel about asking money for his art. "Oh, yeah. Don't artists not think they're any good?" Ace nodded. He only got money because of horny guys that liked naked drawings of women or with them in barely any clothes. "Then you can do portraits of our friends."
He wasn't sure. "C'mon, try somethin' new for once," Sabo encouraged. "You can start by drawing a portrait of me!" Ace hesitated, but then accepted. He moved his desk to the side a bit, as it had wheels on it, and had Sabo sit on a kitchen chair. He was good at staying still for a long period of time.
When Ace finished, he was nervous to show it before he took a deep breath and had him come over. Sabo stretched before walking over and looking at the drawing. He grinned. "I wish I was talented like this. Being smart isn't as nice as having an actual talent," he said. Ace smiled, knowing he was being honest.
He printed it out on nice paper, and gave it to him. Sabo said he loved it. "You should try drawing new things on . At least adding new drawings. Maybe then you can slowly adjust to something new," Sabo said brightly. He was really good at trying to make Ace feel better. The freckled teen nodded, saying he was going to think about it.
He did sleep over, having brought a backpack with his things. They ordered pizza and binged scary movies, keeping the windows closed. Some movies were done really well with quirk special effects. Some people had certain quirks that were useful for effects, and made money by using them for careers.
Ace didn't know what career he would have without being a hero. Other than being an artist like this. The two ended up going to bed at 3:40 in the morning, both crashing on the bed in Ace's room. They'd been laying on the large bed when watching the movie, and finally crashed on it, sleeping in until 11:00 the next morning.
The two of them then went to lunch at the closest breakfast place. Ace had a lot of fun, and was glad he opened up to Sabo about his "home life". He wondered if he could open up to Midoriya. He'd probably be worried about Ace living all on his own, or pitying him. He felt the other wouldn't hate him for the secrets, he'd understand even if Ace knew he wouldn't like it.
Sabo went home in the early afternoon, and Ace was in a great mood. He went home, and felt the urge and desire to draw. Sometimes it was hard to get into it because he didn't like what he was drawing. But he felt inspired, and started to draw his classmates, seeing their pictures on social media.
He made them look like they were using their quirks, and he had a ton of fun. He couldn't post these online, though. They were shots of people and he'd probably need to ask for their permission first. He draw Marco with blue flame feathers coming out of his back as wings. The teen really deliberated before he took a breath and decided to send the portraits to them.
They were all already Facebook friends. Ace didn't go on his much, though. He got responses by most of them that day, all so happy with them, and surprised with how good at drawing he was for his age. He'd been doing this for a living for years, so he had improved because he must. But the praise and shock felt really good. Getting feedback that wasn't just guys talking about how hot the drawings were.
It was a good day after that. Of course, by the time he was done, it was very late anyways. He drew sketches for them, not actually extremely polished work. That took way too long for everyone to have. Sabo's was polished, though.
