Benny lifted a hand up into the air and shot purple magic towards Jesse but the man jumped out of the way.

the spellmaster then quickly grabbed Ethan's hand in his and ran out the door THEY'RE GETTING AWAY STOP THEM Jesse shouted in anger but no one from the government agency came to back him up.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GO AFTER THEM! Jesse exclaimed.

we're sorry sir but they're just kids it's not right a young man replied.

fine i guess I'll go after them myself! Jesse said as he pulled a tracker out from his pocket and walked out the door.

meanwhile

the boys were running as fast as they could away from the town B where are we going? Ethan asked anywhere that's far from here so Jesse won't find us Benny replied.

we better get out of here then because he's following us Ethan said with panic in his voice.

right Benny said with sadness he felt bad and horrible as he looked behind him and saw the town of Whitechapel he hated leaving the town where he grew up but he knew that he had to leave in order to be safe so he shook his head clearing his thoughts from his mind as he and Ethan continued on walking through the outskirts of town and into the forest/woods.

time skip

the boys were now walking through a train yard that was miles away from Whitechapel and the heat and sun were beating down on them intensely due to the hot weather luckily Benny was not bothered by it because he was used to the weather on earth but sadly Ethan wasn't as he was beginning to feel very weak and thirsty.

Benny... how much farther? Ethan asked as he started to slow down from walking which resulted in him falling behind.

not long because a train should be arriving soon to take us to our destination so that's a good sign Benny replied.

Ethan started to take deep breathes since he couldn't breathe very well due to the humidity in the air feeling faint he collapsed to the ground as his vision faded into darkness.

hearing a thud behind him Benny turned around and gasped as he saw Ethan laying on the ground out cold.

ETHAN! OH MY GOSH ARE YOU OK? WAKE UP COME ON TALK TO ME Benny said worryingly as he ran to his aid and shook him on the shoulder to wake him up but nothing happened.

Benny then bent down and lifted Ethan up into his arms holding him close to his chest as he carried him he then started looking around for shade but sadly couldn't find any until he noticed that a tree was nearby and so he quickly ran towards it and once he was under the shaded area he gently set Ethan down on the ground.

he then used magic to make a water bottle appear in his hands as he lifted Ethan's head up and held the water bottle close to the seer's lips at that moment Ethan finally opened his eyes as he saw Benny keeling in front of him helping him drink the water.

drink this slow sips Benny said to the boy as Ethan nodded in response.

thank you... what happened? Ethan said weakly as he drank from the bottle.

you got overheated and passed out from dehydration but i carried you here to be under the shade away from the heat Benny explained.

that's very kind of you B i appreciate it Ethan replied feeling grateful.

no problem E besides I'd do anything for you Benny said his face turning red as he blushed.

Ethan smiled at him in return but then suddenly snarling and growling noises were heard which startled the boys.

what's that sound? Ethan asked mountain lions Benny replied simply.

im scared Benny Ethan said his voice shaking with fear I know Benny replied trying to comfort him.

at that moment two mountain lions appeared in front of them growling angrily while the sound of a train whistling rang out in the distance.

they found us I'll hold them off as long as i can Benny exclaimed.

they're just cats you can take em Ethan said encouragingly as Benny stood there bravely holding his hand out to shoot magic at the mountain lions the spark of magic spooked them as they jumped into the air and ran off but not before one of the cats ran towards the seer and used their claws to scratch him on the ankle which made it start bleeding.

OWW! Ethan yelled in pain.

what's wrong? Benny asked with concern as he noticed that the seer's ankle was bleeding.

one of the mountain lions attacked and scratched me with it's claws Ethan replied.

don't worry i can use my magic to heal you Benny said as the magic swept over Ethan's ankle and disappeared in a flash showing that he was in fact healed almost like he never got hurt and injured in the first place since his ankle looked good as new.

wow i don't think I'll ever get used to you doing that but it is a great power to have for sure so thank you for healing me Ethan said happily.

it was nothing now come on we gotta get to that train before it leaves Benny replied ok Ethan said agreeing with him.

later the boys were asleep on the train when it suddenly halted in it's tracks and stopped as the whistle blew loudly letting the passengers know that they were at the station and once the seer and spellmaster woke up and exited from the train they noticed that they weren't anywhere near their destination and were instead at the mines.

feeling confused Ethan walked over to the engineer um excuse me but why are we stopped at the mines in the valley? the boy asked.

because us workers have to get our coal somewhere the man replied.

ok sir thank you Ethan said politely as he got off the train and went over to Benny who was standing by the exit waiting for him.

so where are we? Benny asked since he didn't know where they were at.

apparently we're at the mines and the reason that the train stopped here is cause the workers have to get coal Ethan explained.

so where do we go now? Benny wondered.

wherever we can until we decide where the perfect place to live is but i think we need a map at least so we don't get lost Ethan replied.

alright Benny said it wasn't long before they found one and so with the map in hand they walked.

hours later

Ethan and Benny were stuck in a predicament because they were lost even with the map because everything looked the same.

face it B we're lost we're never gonna have a safe place to call home for ourselves because we're out in the middle of nowhere and are still at the mines Ethan with frustration in his voice.

relax E im sure we can find our way around here Benny replied calmly.

suddenly an explosion rang out from a bomb that was left unattended on the construction site causing large trees to fall down along with rocks and debris the boys looked around for any place to get to safely but they were out of options the only way they could go and escape from it was in the caverns entance to the underground tunnels so they quickly ran inside before the large trees and rocks fell down in front of them blocking the entrance to the underground tunnels leaving them in complete darkness as the ground rumbled.

i can't see anything it's too dark Benny are you here? answer me please i need to hear your voice Ethan said feeling worried since he couldn't see his friends face.

yeah E im here oh no we're trapped i can't move I'm stuck oh god i can't breathe the walls are closing in on us Benny said hyperventilating.

whoa B calm down what's going on? Ethan asked.

im claustrophobic i can't handle small spaces oh gosh Benny replied panicking.

Benny hey listen to me ok I'm here your not alone alright now just try to match my breathing Ethan said as he began breathing in and out slowly.

i can't Benny replied as he began panicking even more then before even though it was completely dark making it hard to see it didn't matter to Ethan as nothing was more important to him in that moment then Benny as he suddenly grabbed ahold of him and pulled him close giving him a quick hug before he pulled away slightly and kissed him on the lips everything was silent around them except for their heavy breathing once the kiss ended.

wow Ethan did you just kiss me?! Benny asked feeling shocked.

yeah i did listen B the truth is i like more then a friend i have for awhile now but i was afraid to tell you because i didn't want to lose you and our friendship once you found out because you mean a lot to me Ethan replied truthfully.

it's ok Ethan i feel the same way Benny replied.

really? Ethan asked feeling surprised.

yeah also thanks for helping me Benny said.

anytime Ethan replied.

now how are we gonna get outta here? Ethan questioned Benny started thinking before a idea came to him i know I'll use my magic to get us out Benny replied.

are you sure that will work? Ethan asked as the spellmaster nodded.

ok here it goes Benny said lifting his hands up in the air as magic started glowing from his hands making light appear in the mine shaft which allowed the boys to see everything around them.

Benny looked ahead in front of him and saw that huge rocks were blocking the underground entrance so he used his magic to blast the rocks away one by one.

it took awhile but once the last rock was cleared away Ethan and Benny were finally able to leave the underground mine shaft and be outside in the fresh air.

thank goodness we're out i was afraid we'd never see the sky again Ethan said as he looked up at it.

yeah same here Benny replied agreeing with him.

the boys then looked at the map again that they had in their hands to look for directions on where to go they noticed that the arrow that was on the map was pointing to west so that's the direction they went with and so with their minds made up they went in that direction.
