Two Weeks Later

Jacob And Hazel's Apartment

It'd been two weeks since the Wright Anything Agency was in Smash Mansion. The members of the law office deciding to leave once Sora's reveal ended up going toxic just to stay safe.

This wasn't the end for everyone though, as Futaba made sure that everyone had contacts to the Phantom Thieves, allowing them to keep in contact and to help arrange potential visits at another date

Having been given a day off of work, Jacob woke up much later than usual, as such he was currently in the kitchen of his apartment drinking a hot cup of tea. Hazel had already been awake, and was currently in the apartment's bathroom. As Jacob continued to drink his tea, his phone went off. He unlocked up his phone, and looked over the notification that arrived.

"Hello there. Is this Jacob Sholmes' number?" The message read.

Rather than texting back, Jacob decided to call the number that messaged him. The number rang for a few seconds, before the line connected.

"Hello? Jacob Sholmes speaking." Jacob said.

"Ah hello!" A familiar male voice said. "Looks like Futaba gave me the correct number!"

"Oh wait! Is that you, Mega Man?" Jacob questioned.

"Yep. that's me!" Mega Man replied.

"Great to hear from you, Mega!" Jacob said. "What can I do for you?"

"It's ready." Mega Man simply stated. "The tournament is happening today."

"Wait, today?!" Jacob exclaimed.

"Yep." Mega Man replied. "If you wanna come see it in the mansion, then I'll come and get you when you're ready. Be quick though, as you've gotta get here quickly to get a good view."

"Thanks for the heads up, Mega." Jacob said. "I'll see if anyone else wants to join."

"Perfect!" Mega Man replied. "I'll see you, and maybe your friends, in a little bit." Mega Man hung up, and Jacob quickly ran into his room to change, as he went into his room, he placed a message into the Agency's group chat.

Jacob Sholmes: Mega Man has extended an invite to return to the mansion to watch a tournament. I'll be meeting him in the agency where we last got picked up by him. If anyone wants to join me, you're more than welcome to.

Once Jacob made it to the agency's entrance, he wasn't surprised to see that Hazel caught up with him after about 2 minutes. Looking at her though, it was obvious that she had been making sure that the bun she'd put her hair into was neat.

"Trying something different?" Jacob asked, addressing the lilac bun.

"I guess." Hazel said. "But the real reason I've done myself up the way you see here is to show Yusuke that there's something more elegant than my typical work suit."

Jacob looked at Hazel's attire, and nodded. "I think you've done the trick." He said.

Hazel had gone for a black short-sleeve shirt, complete with a floral pattern. Along with some light blue denim overall shorts. She finished off the outfit with a pair of black platform sandals, tying the short laces at the rim of her sandals upwards over her legs.

"Although I have to ask, are every single pair of shoes you have platforms?" Jacob asked.

"Height means nothing, my friend." Hazel replied. "Plus, why are you always so obsessed with asking why I wear certain shoes?"

"..." Jacob said nothing.

"Exactly, you have nothing to come back with." Hazel said, cockily. "So, I'll continue to wear any shoes with platforms or height without you shitting on me for doing so."

"Fair enough." Was all Jacob could say in response, "Now that you put it like that... it's kinda unnecessary of me to make those jokes."

Hazel's cocky façade fell. "Perfect. That's all I wanted to hear from you." She said, with a soft smile, quickly lightening the mood. She addressed herself again. "To be serious for a moment, what do you actually think of my outfit?"

"I genuinely like it." Jacob said. "The shirt especially is really pretty..." As he said this, Hazel looked towards her floral pattern shirt, and smiled at the compliment. "...and I've always liked it when you put your hair into a bun."

Hazel lightly tapped her hair bun. "Thanks." She said. "It's fun to style my hair. I love letting it down, but sometimes a ponytail or a bun is a nice way to spice up an look."

"Agreed." Jacob said, before noticing something around her neck. "Wait a second..." he began "Is that...?"

"The Kingdom Hearts heart symbol as a necklace?" Hazel finished. "Yep. And that's not all!" She added, as she brushed the earrings at the bottom of her ear's triple lobe. "Yes, these are Keyblade earrings."

Jacob got closer to Hazel, and looked at her choice of Jewellery. "Damn, tryin' to get Sora's attention?" Jacob jokingly asked.

"Nope." Hazel quickly replied. "I just wanna show off these earrings and the necklace to Futaba-chan. I know she'd like these, as a fellow Kingdom Hearts fan."

"Fair enough." Jacob replied, before changing the subject. "Getting back to the topic of the mansion visit, I take it that it's just us going?"

Hazel looked down the corridor, and pondered. "Looks like it." she replied, turning back to Jacob.

"Nope, you're wrong!" A voice suddenly called out. "We've got an entire party coming!" Jacob and Hazel looked to down the hallway of the building, and saw Trucy walking up to them. As Trucy walked up towards Jacob, he was able to notice that in an extremely rare occurrence, Trucy was not in her magicians attire. Instead, she wore a basic white T-shirt, along with some 90's-esq one strap overall shorts and a pair of white, low cut trainers.

Alongside Trucy's arrival, Phoenix, Athena, Scooby and Shaggy arrived to the agency, along with Fred Jones, Daphne Blake and Velma Dinkley.

"Oh wow! The rest of Mystery Inc. are coming?" Jacob asked.

"They had their reasons." Scooby said.

"Not so much that, but I'm finding hard to believe that you guys went to a mansion full of Video Game characters." Velma said.

Jacob face palmed. "Haven't you literally been inside the literal TARDIS?" He asked.

Velma went quiet. "That's... true. Regardless, the claim that Shaggy made has peaked my interest."

"As with me." Daphne said. "Personally though, I'm just coming to see if there are any characters I recognise."

Shaggy chuckled. "Like, good luck finding someone you won't recognise, Daph."

"Alright then." Jacob said. "Is that everyone?"

"I believe so." Trucy said.

"Alright then. I'll message Mega Man." Jacob said, as he quickly typed out a message. He sent it to Mega Man, but once he looked up towards the group he was with, he suddenly noticed that the surroundings were different.

"Wait..." Jacob thought aloud. "When did this building get Smash art on the wall?"

"Ah, I forgot to inform you about the new teleportation developments." Mega Man, said walking towards the group. "You'll now just show up here right as you request. None of that terrible white strain against your eyes, just one button press and you're here!"

"Well..." Fred began. "That's really convenient."

Mega Man noticed the three new visitors. "Oh! The rest of Mystery Inc. are visiting today?"

"Like, yep!" Shaggy said. "As such, Scoob and I will walk them around the mansion."

"That's fine by me." Mega Man said, handing Shaggy 5 lanyards. "Make sure you have one of these each, and I'll let you guys go through."

"Thank you, Mega Man." Scooby replied. The rest of Mystery Inc. put on their lanyards, and turned to Shaggy. "Lead the way, Shaggy." Fred said.

"Like, sure thing!" Shaggy replied, as he walked through the corridor of the mansion. His mystery solving friends following behind.

Mega Man turned towards the others. "What's your game plan?"

Phoenix and Athena looked to each other. "We've just come because of those three." Phoenix said, pointing to the three teens.

"I wanna see the Phantom Thieves and The Investigation Team again." Hazel said.

"I came for the tournament." Jacob said.

Trucy looked at her friends. "...I'm just here with them." She replied.

Mega Man smiled. "Ok then." He said while handing another 5 lanyards to the others, before moving away from the group. "You're free to enter."

Jacob nodded. "Thank you, Mega." Jacob turned towards his two friends. "Shall we go ahead?" He asked.

Hazel smiled. "Let's do it!" She said eagerly.

"Then follow me!" Jacob said, as he turned towards the cafeteria doors and began walking towards them.

With the tournament looming, the cafeteria was bustling. heroes and villains of all franchises in the mansion were camped around their supported fighters. Jacob, Hazel and Trucy walked into the cafeteria. Upon entering, everyone in the room turned towards them.

"Good afternoon." Jacob said, the silence making him feel a little uncomfortable.

Being the polite plumber that everyone knew, Mario walked up to the three teens. "Welcome back!" Mario proudly exclaimed, thrusting his hand out towards Jacob.

Jacob ecstatically returned Mario's handshake. "Good to see you again, Mario!"

Mario smiled at Jacob. "Here for the tournament?" He asked.

"That's right." Jacob said, as he released Mario's hand. "I'm here to watch it all unfold!"

Mario laughed. "Well, you're in a for a real show today!" He happily said. "We'll be starting the tournament in about 15 minutes, so please feel free to hang around the mansion, and catch up with people!" Mario said, tipping his cap. "I have to go help set everything up, so I can't hang around for any longer. Excuse-a me for a moment." he added, as he left.

Hazel and Trucy caught up to Jacob. "So, Phantom Thieves. Let's find them!" Hazel said.

The trio walked towards where the Thieves were sat when they last visited. Fortunately, it was a lucky guess on their part, as the Thieves were all sat at the same table. As the trio approached, they noticed that the table had finished a game of Tycoon. Ryuji reshuffled the cards, before putting them back into the box.

"Well played, everyone." Makoto said. "That was a tense session."

"Tense?" Akira asked. "That was just business as usual for me."

"Yeah, yeah. You're an amazing Tycoon player. We get it." Ryuji complained.

"Ryuji, you barely even know how to play this game." Futaba replied, deadpanned.

"Shuddup!" Ryuji retorted. "I don't choose to learn card games! Why should I when we don't play 'em most of the time?!"

"It's good to have the knowledge of these games, Ryuji." Ann said. "To use Shiho as an example, she learned these kinds of games to play them on family vacations."

Akira smiled. "My family would always do the same." he said. "We'd sit in the hotel during evenings, engaging with the hotel entertainment or just playing some simple card games."

"I'm pretty sure my Mom and Sojiro would do something similar when they had some downtime." Futaba added. "To my knowledge, I don't think they ever had a full vacation together."

"My father's few nice employees would sometimes play some card games with me." Haru said. "Though that was very rare."

Makoto slightly chuckled. "According to a few of my father's old colleagues, my Mom was apparently part of a notorious biker gang. She would always hang around the old casino, and would absolutely decimate everyone when at the poker table."

The table went silent at the revelation. "Ok, Makoto wins this argument." Ryuji said, holding his hands up.

Akira smiled. "Honestly, if that's all true, then it makes the fact she ended up settling down with a police officer funny."

"Agreed." Yusuke said, before looking just past Haru. "Pardon me, but is anyone there?" he asked.

Jacob spoke from behind the map that the table was in front of. "Ok, I was mostly waiting to see if I could enter with a quip, but after the massive bombshell Niijima-san just dropped, I physically can't think of anything."

The Thieves were taken aback. "Wait a second..." Yusuke realised. "Is that you, Sholmes-Sama?"

Jacob walked towards the table, while waving "Hello guys. Long time no see."

"Ayyyy!" Futaba cheered. "Welcome back, Sholmes!"

Makoto got up from her seat at the table and greeted Jacob. "Welcome back, Jacob-Kun! I hope you've been doing well." She politely began.

"Thank you, Niijima-San." Jacob began. "I've been doing well. What about yourself?"

"I've been well." Makoto began. "I've been helping my sis look into potential places of work. She's planning on becoming a defense lawyer."

"Oh nice!" Jacob said with a smile. "I hope all goes well."

Futaba quickly bounced up to Jacob, nearly sending Makoto to the floor. "Enough of the boring legal stuff! You're here for Heroes Vs. Villains, aren't you?"

"Of course!" Jacob replied. "I'm here for a good show!"

"Oh yeah!" Futaba exclaimed This is what I wanna hear!" She added, fist pumping.

Trucy walked towards the Thieves. "Hiya!~" Trucy said, with a little wave.

"Hello Tru-Chan!~" Ann said, excitedly. "I'm so glad to see you again!"

"All the same from me, Ann!" Trucy replied. "After mostly bonding over messages, it feels great to properly see you again!"

Hazel walked out, a bright smile present on her face. "Hello, Phantom Thieves!" She cheerily yelled.

"Yo, hold up!" Futaba exclaimed. "Is that... Kingdom Hearts jewellery?!"

"You know it!" Hazel replied. "Keyblades on my ears, and the heart around my neck!"

Futaba quickly walked uptowards Hazel, and examined the jewellery. "Please. Link me where I can find this stuff!"

"Absolutely!" Hazel replied. As Futaba moved away from Hazel, Hazel's eyes eventually fell upon Haru.

Even though Hazel clearly felt a little nervous, she quickly brushed it off as she spoke to Haru with the same bright smile. "Hello, Okumura-Senpai!~" She said, softly. Before letting a small giggle slip.

Haru suddenly beamed with excitement. "Hazel-Chan!~" She happily exclaimed.

Haru got up from where she was sitting, and quickly made her way over to Hazel. After she made her way out of her seat, she ran around to the other side of the table, before stopping in front of Hazel. Haru looked to Hazel and held her arms outward. Hazel nodded, and went in for the hug.

With her head resting against Haru, Hazel smiled. "I'm happy we finally get to meet again!" She said, her voice muffled from her position.

"So am I." Haru softly replied. "I enjoy messaging you, but nothing will ever beat being with a friend in person."

A huge smile grew upon Trucy's face. "eeeeeeeeeee! I can't! They're sooooo cute!~" she quietly squealed. "Their friendship gives me strength!"

When the two girls broke from their hug, they both went wide eyed as they looked at each other.

"Awww! Haru, you look really pretty!" Hazel exclaimed

"Oh my goodness! Hazel, your outfit is so cute!" Haru exclaimed at the exact same time.

Hazel blushed a little, and looked over Haru's outfit again. Haru was wearing a transparent greenish white collared dress, a white tank top underneath, white pantyhose and a pair of cream-colored pumps. As much as Hazel loved the outfit, she noticed that she had decided to put her hair into a ponytail.

"You put your hair into a ponytail?" Hazel enquired. "It's so cute!"

"Yep!" Haru replied, coyly. "I've... always been a little conscious of styling my hair, as I find that very little can be done with my hair." Haru began to blush. "But I'm glad you like it, so... thank you.~"

Haru then turned her attention to Hazel. "I love your outfit too! The shirt is really nice..." She began. "Oh! You styled your hair too?" she asked.

"Yes!" Hazel ecstatically replied. "I love it when I get the chance to put my hair into a bun!"

As the two girls continued talking, Master Hand flew in. "Good Afternoon fighters!" he proudly exclaimed. "The tournament will begin momentarily! If you are a participating fighter, please proceed to the match lobbies. For everyone else, please come to the arena seats if you wish to watch this tournament."

The heroes and villains of the mansion pilled out quickly, the other mansion goers quickly followed suit.

Akira took charge, and lead everyone at the tables into the seats of the stadium.

Mansion Entrance

The stadium seats were filling up quickly. However, Akira found an empty area of seats, and lead everyone there. The Investigation team began to fill up the seats behind where the Phantom Thieves had began to sit.

As Jacob sat down, he was noticed by Yu. "Oh hello again!" Yu said. "I wasn't expecting you to be here."

"Hello again Narukami-Kun." Jacob said. "Mega Man invited me and my friends here again."

"Again?" Yu questioned. "You have a history with Mega Man?"

"It's a long story, honestly." Jacob began. "Plus, you'd be better off asking Mega Man himself about it."

"I'll keep it in mind." Yu replied.

The rest of the Investigation Team began sitting next to Yu, so Jacob began to find a place to sit. He ended up sitting next to Trucy, on her right was Hazel sitting with Haru. When Jacob sat down, he heard another voice next to him.

"Yo, these seats next to you free?"

Jacob looked towards the source of the voice, and began beaming. "Not at all, Sonic. They're all yours." Jacob said.

"Thanks." Sonic replied with a smirk, before sitting down. "You're one of the visitors right?" Sonic asked. "You already seem to know who I am, but I'm Sonic. Sonic The Hedgehog."

Jacob held his hand out for a fist bump. "I'm Jacob. Jacob Sholmes."

Sonic reciprocated the fist bump. "Nice meeting you, Jacob."

Suddenly, a thought shot into Jacob's mind.

"So what you're telling me... is that Sonic's reality crumbled into a black hole, and then just came back like a reverse Thanos snap?"

"Seems that way. And from what I remember from one of ours conversations in the TARDIS, none of them have even figured out how it just... returned."

"I think it may link to the Phantom Ruby. If the first black hole was caused by the ruby itself, then Infinite may have used the thing for something else."

"But what would it be? With the entire universe destroyed, he "succeeded" in offing Sonic, why would he have suddenly brought it back?"

His mind shot back to 2 weeks ago. When Mega Man and the agency was talking about the "reality breach." The lack of closure in regards to Sonic's universe. As much as he wanted to ask Sonic about what happened, he decided not to press the issue for the time being.

The opportunity to ask Sonic quickly left, as Tails, Knuckles and the rest of Sonic's friends began to fill the seats next to Sonic. As the other latecomers began to pile in, Master Hand had activated the battle settings. As such, the arena transformed into the "Mario Galaxy" arena.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the mansion, the tournament will begin in a few moments. It will be a two stock tourney, with infinite time."

Master hand suddenly switched to his announcement voice. "Stock Battle! Mario Vs. Bowser!" He exclaimed.

Everyone was tense, waiting with anticipation for the battle to start.

Mario and Bowser made their way onto the battlefield. Mario stood on the right side of the arena, whilst Bowser stood on the left side. Once the two were prepared, Master hand began his countdown.

As the battle began, Bowser leapt into the air and Mario jumped backwards. Bowser landed next to Mario, and struck Mario with his fire breath for about a second. Mario jumped into the air yet again, and struck Bowser with a neutral aerial hit. Mario landed, and went onto the floor. Bowser followed suit, but as he came through the highest platform, Mario hit Bowser with a well timed head-butt.

"Not bad, plumber!" Bowser cockily said. "But not good enough!" Bowser went for a ground pound, but Mario quickly bested him and hit him with another neutral air. "I must admit, you're better than I expected." Bowser said, slightly groaning from the attack.

Mario landed back on solid ground, but Bowser hit him with a 2-punch jab, and then threw him into the air with a Rising Spike. "You're not so bad yourself..." Mario admitted, before jumping backwards onto the platform below him. Bowser ran towards that same platform and jumped towards Mario, who promptly hit Bowser with a side smash. Bowser was sent towards the opposite platform. After getting up, he and Mario charged towards each other, engaging in combat for around 30 seconds.

Mario got Bowser to around 113%, and was going in for the kill. But Bowser outsmarted Mario with a well timed Ceiling Scratch, sending Mario flying towards the kill zone on the right side.

Bowser (and the villains in the audience) celebrated seeing the KO Explosion with a mighty roar. His celebration got the better of him though, when Mario respawned. The plumber jumped down from the top platform, and behind the King of the Koopas. Without hesitation, Mario grabbed Bowser.

Mario spun Bowser a few times, before throwing him off-stage. "So long, King-a Bowser!" Mario yelled, flinging Bowser into the left kill zone.

The booing from the villains was drowned out by the loud cheer of every other member of the audience. Luigi, Sonic, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Jacob, Hazel, Futaba, and Ryuji were some of many who went absolutely insane. Mario looked towards the audience, and flashed a thumbs up towards everyone.

Bowser descended onto the stage floor, and stomped towards Mario. "Credit where credit is due, pipe dreamer..." He began. "You work quickly." Bowser suddenly grabbed Mario, leapt into the air and slammed Mario, shell pointed upwards, straight into the ground. The impact sent the plumber flying into the air. "But now, we're both one stock away from victory or defeat."

Mario recovered from the attack, and made his way to the stage floor. Mario charged into Bowser and landed a few hits. "You're right." Mario said, as he readied himself with a battle stance.

Bowser stood in a stance himself and looked straight at Mario.

"Winner takes all!" The two fighters exclaimed in sync, before the two charged towards each other.
