Yang Xiao Long. The Yellow of Team RWBY and one of the students of Remnant's most prestigious academies Beacon. She had not expected to encounter someone this morning while in Emerald Forest.

Yang was going to Emerald Forest to get some training in fighting Grimm after a lot of convincing to Ozpin and Glynda. She had to be back in an hour which she was more than ready to comply so as to just get a bit of training. Yang had encountered a few Ursas which she promptly took down without issue.

After the last of the Ursas was finished she sighed "Whew! That took a lot outta me." She then heard the bush rustle behind. Arming Ember Celica she waited until the creature behind the bushes jumped. She readied to punch the living shit outta the creature but she immediately stopped when she saw it.

It was a very small bird. It had a tuft of hair protruding from it's head with black round eyes making it look like an adorable furry. It had orange fur with strands of yellow at the small tuft of hair on it's head. It was tiny and only 1 foot tall. It had the look of a small baby chick with a small beak. It looked at Yang while tilting it's head and it happily shouted "TORCHIC!" and ran up to Yang and snuggled up to her feet.

Yang squealed in delight and picked it up and snuggled it "Awwww! Who's the cutest? You are!" The small bird enjoyed it while rubbing it's face against Yang's. It suddenly jumped and landed on Yang's shoulder and she squealed like a high school girl. It said "Torchic!"

Yang said, "Torchic? Is that your name?". The small creature nodded it's head and Yang said "Well your coming with me little bud! Onto Beacon!" Yang was gonna have no problem convincing Glynda and Ozpin.

Glynda shouted, "ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

Yang said, "But Ms. Glynda!"

Yang did have problems convincing Glynda and Ozpin. Ozpin seemed to consider but Glynda said no even though she admitted Torchic was very cute. Torchic tilted it's head at Glynda "Tor?". Glynda blushed at its cuteness and wanted to scoop it up but her position as Headmistress prevented that. Glynda said " I know Ms. Yang that leaving it where it has come from would be a mistake. But this is Beacon taking care of a pet while you're becoming a huntress will just be an unnecessary obstacle for you and your team."

Yang sulked. She wanted Torchic so badly! But Ms. Glynda was having none of that. Torchic suddenly heaved in pain. Yang alerted immediately went to check on Torchic. Yang worried said "Tor Tor are you alright? Your not in pain are you?"

Ozpin then spoke up " Long pls back away and Glynda pls pick Torchic up and take it to the vets."

Glynda said, "Already on it." As Glynda was about to pick Torchic suddenly sneezed out fire! Well not fire but small embers which singed Glynda's hair and covered her face with soot. Glynda absolutely shocked turned to Ozpin who himself was shocked but chuckled when he saw Glynda's face who let out a sigh of frustration. Torchic then jumped to Yang all chipper.

Ozpin then said, "Very well Yang you may keep him."

Yang squealed "REALLY!"

Ozpin interrupted and said, "But on the condition, you will take full responsibility and train the small one to be a fighter."

Yang said "Obviously. He's gonna be the best fighter there is right Torch!"

Torchic just said " Torchic!"

Yang said, "Cmon I gotta introduce you to my team!" She picked up Torchic and bolted straight to the dorm. Glynda sighed and turned to Ozpin and asked him "Why did you let her keep the small one? She is really irresponsible ." Ozpin just said, "I know but I have a feeling with that young one Yang Xiao Long could be more responsible." Glynda sighed out frustrated and hoped to Oum Ozpin was correct.

Yang ran to the dorms all giddy at having little Torchic. She loved it a lot. Yang suddenly stopped and asked, "Torchic are you a girl?" Torchic frowned at that. Yang then said "So your a boy right?" and Torchic snuggled to Yang. Yang took it as a Yes.

She went to her dorm where she found her team and Team JNPR all chatting when they noticed Yang. Ruby walked up to Yang and asked "Hey Yang where were you this morning?"

Yang said "Oh! Right. You see I went for training."

Weiss surprised asked "You. Go for training? Who are you and what have you done with Yang?!" Weiss said in a mocking tone. Yang just grumbled and continued "Buuut. I found...*shows Torchic*HIM!"

The Two teams stared at Torchic gobsmacked. It was a very strange animal. No one had ever seen something like it in Remnant. But Nora grabbed Torchic and squealed at it's cuteness. "Your soooo cuuuteee! Aww I just wanna squish the life outta youuuu!" Torchic scared by the sudden action stared to whimper " ...torchic..." Before crying out and jumping from Nora's arms and running to Yang. Yang grabbed punched the Bookshelf which flew out the window much to Blake's dismay while Yang said in a clear threatening tone "Nora Valkyrie."Nora immediately alert grinned sheepishly obviously afraid of Yang's now rising aura. Glaring at her Yang roared at Nora and It was at this moment Nora knew she fucked up.

10 Minutes later.

Nora was barely alive with an inch of her life while Ren frantically tried to wake her up. Weiss was currently holding Torchic cradling it while squealing all the way at it's cuteness. Ruby petted Torchic on it's head to which Torchic snuggled it's head at Ruby's hand and Ruby squealed in happiness at it's sweetness. Blake stared at Torchic all the way while blushing. She admits Torchic is very adorable and she would want to snuggle with him.

Torchic then jumped out of Weiss's hands who called out for him. Torchic walked up to Yang and jumped on her shoulder who was just done with Nora. Yang noticing Torchic grinned and hugged it out of joy and said "Ooohhh I'm gonna spoil you so bad." Torchic murmured "Tor...chic..." And fell asleep on Yang's arms who cradled him. Slowly she put a finger to her mouth indicating to not wake him up and everyone went silent.

Jaune whispered "So what are we gonna do about him?"

Pyrrha said "Obviously gonna take care of him Jaune. We're not gonna leave him alone."

Yang whispered "Thanks guys."

Ruby said, "We're always there for you Yang."

Blake nodded at that and said "If you need help just ask us."

Yang grinned "Thanks guys." and looked at the sleeping form of her new best friend. Yang slowly put him down on the bed to rest while the rest of the people along with Nora who was awake went to change for their classes.

3 Hours later.

Torchic yawned and woke up groggily. He looked around the room and did not see Yang or any of the others and started panicking. He searched around the whole room for Yang not finding her. Tearing up Torchic yelled out loudly "Toooooorrcchiiiiicccc!"

Glynda was walking to her next class when she heard the noise coming from Team RWBY's dorm. She took out the spare keys she had and opened the dorm to find Torchic tackling her to the floor. Glynda noticed Torchic had been crying and picked him up to the next class.

Yang was talking with her friends when she saw Torchic coming in with Glynda. Glynda sternly called out Yang. " Xiao Long. I believe this is yours." She held up Torchic who was happy to see Yang and ran up to her. Yang exclaimed "Torchic I thought you would not wake up until I came back!" Torchic just snuggled up to her. Glynda then asked "Now May I ask why was he crying when I opened the room?" Yang then explained everything and Glynda sighed and told Yang to sit down. Glynda then conducted the matches for the day while Torchic nibbled on Yang's hair playfully to which Yang was tickling the poor thing.

Glynda called out the last Match "Yang Xiao Long vs Cardin Winchester."

Cardin grinned. Yang readied herself for some ass-kicking while Torchic was held by Ruby.

Cardin walked up to the field and mocked Yang "Wow Yang didn't know you cared so much for animals? A dumb useless bird." Pissed off Yang activated her semblance ready to smash Cardin's face while Cardin continued to taunt her. Cardin then made the last straw "He's better in the zoo rather than here. At least that would be some entertainment. Or I dunno maybe sell him for some meat and eat him-" Cutting Cardin off Yang punched him sending him flying. Cardin shouted "YOU'LL REGRET THAT!" Cardin charged at Yang who was angry..no scratch that FUCKING PISSED off at Cardin insulted and called her sweet baby food in front of her.

The fight lasted for some time. Yang blocked Cardin's Mace and punched him several times really depleting his Aura. Cardin also took down Yang's aura to yellow due to a few mismatches made by Yang. Eventually both were in red and Yang charged at Cardin. Russel immediately threw a small chewing-gum which Glynda did not notice as she was called by Lark who asked her a fake-doubt.

Yang stepped on the gum and fell down when trying to get out. Cardin took this as his opportunity and smashed Yang with his mace breaking her arm. He went for the final blow even though Yang had lost. Glynda called out "WINCHESTER STOP!" Ruby shouted "YANG!" Torchic horrified jumped out and stood in front of Cardin who stared at him before laughing "AHAHAHAHA! OH THIS THING IS GONNA BEAT ME! Don't make me laugh!" Torchic breathed in before shouting "TOOOOORRRCCCHIIIIIIICCCCCCCCC!" and released a sea of insanely hot flames which burnt Cardin horribly bad. Cardin screamed in pain suffering really bad third-degree burns. Dove, Russel and Lark charged in on Torchic be stopped by Pyrrha, Ruby and Weiss who freezed the three of them before the 3 girls beat the living shit out of them. Glynda called for the medics who took away Cardin. Torchic rubbed it's head at Yang's who using her non-broken arm petted the sweet thing.

Ruby picked him up and said "That...was AWESOME TORCHIC!"

Torchic squeaked out "Toooorrrr!"
