"Skye! Are you ready? We need to leave if we are going to get to the training in time!"
Natasha calls out, making Skye throw the last few things she needs in her bag before grabbing hold of it, leaving her room in the progress. Seeing that Natasha is waiting for her at the door, she gives her a weak smile, making Natasha roll her eyes, she does however smile back.
"Ready?"
She asks and Skye nods her head happily. It had been a little over two weeks since Natasha had saved her from that place. When she and Clint had returned from whatever they had done, it had been decided that it would just be best if she stayed in the apartment. Giving her time to heal up properly, it had also meant she started to climb the walls slightly out of boredom. Which have led to this moment, Maria thought another week of healing would be for the best, but Natasha had won the argument.
"Well, let's go then! We both know she doesn't like it when students show up late."
Natasha points out and Skye can't help but to laugh at this. Standing behind Natasha, se waits for the red-haired assassin to tell her it's safe to leave the apartment. During the healing time they had been gone over a lot of safety regulations, Natasha has even promised to teach her self-defense once she gets older, just to be on the safe side.
Seeing that Natasha steps into the hallway and wave her hand towards her, Skey follows her out. Since they own the whole fourth floor, she wasn't all to worried heading for the elevator once Natasha has deemed it safe, and the trip to the elevator is a fast one. Reaching the first floor and the walk towards the front doors and the car Natasha is driving on the other hand, Skye makes sure to keep very close to her older sister.
The drive to the dance studio is a fast one, Skye could only guess Natasha didn't stick to the speed limit, in that moment she didn't really care. She had missed dancing and she couldn't wait to get started again, finally knowing she will be able to do this for a much longer time now. Every time she had to change place; she had been worried the new person that would take care of her wouldn't let her dance anymore. At least Phil and Victoria had realized she needed it.
Natasha parks the car outside of the dance studio, looking at it through the window, Skye can hardly be still in her seat. She can hear Natasha laugh lightly, making her turn towards her sister and look at her with narrowed eyes. She could however not stay fake angry for long as Natasha steps out of the car. Compere to the first time Victoria had taken her to the dance studio, Skye waits in the car until Natasha opens her door, in that moment she speeds into the building.
Looking around herself, she tries to locate another person she had missed a lot, seeing her dance trainer standing with her back towards her, talking to the receptionist, Skye throws herself towards her. Hearing a slight scream of surprise, she steps away from the woman, only to see her smile big as her eye's lands on Skye.
"MARY!"
She calls out, dropping down to one knee so she can hug Skye properly. In that moment, she doesn't care that the woman had called her by her old name, she doesn't know about the name change after all. Hearing the door open behind her, Skye knows it's Natasha entering since Evgenia doesn't freeze up, at least not completely. Her grip around Skye does grow slack however and Skye can see how her eyes lands on Natasha, surprise showing in her eyes.
"Natasha?"
"Good to see you again Evgenia, it has been far to long."
Natasha speaks, smiling big as she sees her old friend. Evgenia slowly rises once more, making Skye turn to greet Zia.
"I... what is going on?"
Skye can hear Evgenia ask and she turns her head slightly so she can see the conversation.
"From now on, Clint, Maria and myself is in charge of Skye."
Natasha answered the question and Skye can see the confusion in Evgenia's eyes. The confusion doesn't last long and she just nods her head, she has after all seen a lot of weird things after accepting Skye to her dance studio. Not to mention her friendship with Natasha would have shown her a few weird things itself.
"Well, are you stay today?"
"I need to do some shopping; I will join in later however."
Evgenia nods her head once more, before turning towards Skye.
"Well then, you are the last one to arrive so I think we should head inside and start the class."
Turning to wave goodbye to Natasha, Skye follows Evgenia into the dance room. The older woman had been right, Skye is the last student to arrive. Seeing her classmate waiting for her, she lowers her head. She already knows what is going through their heads and she can hear a few of them whisper to one another. She was used to this, it's not the first time she had missed multiple lessons only to return randomly after all. Hearing Evgenia clap her hand, Skye takes her place in the back so the class can start.
"Alright class, we will repeat what we learned last time. Skye, just try and keep up as much as you can."
Evgenia tells them all, as she said her name, Skye shrinks even further back as the class turns to look at her out of surprise. This isn't the name they are used to hear after all. As the music starts to play however, they all turn their attention forwards and starts doing the movement they had been taught the week before. Looking at them closely, Skye tries to keep up. Something that turned out to be a lot harder than she would have thought.
She lost track on how long they had been doing their training, but the moment Evgenia turns off the music, Skye let's out a sigh of relief. She was starting to get worried if she had done the right decision to come back. Maybe she should have asked Natasha if they could just have gone with privet lessons for the time being. Following the other students towards the other end of the room, where their bags had all been dropped, Skye makes sure to keep to herself.
Taking the water bottle, she had taken with her, she starts to drink the water, trying har to block out the other kids as they keep talking in low voices. Turning her back towards them however meant she turned her back towards the door, completely missing when it opens. The only reason as to why she realizes something is different is do to the sudden changes in the other girl's voices. They had grown in volume and as Skye turns her head to, she what's going on, she can understand it.
Natasha has entered the room and Skye knows just how popular her big sister is in this class. She and Evgenia have shown just what they could on multiple occasions. Then there's the point that Natasha is the Black Widow, a super spy that keeps the world safe from bad people. The thing is the rest of the student doesn't know about her and Natasha's connection. The only thing they might have figured out is that Natasha got along with Melinda and Phil the few times they had interacted with one another in the studio.
Other than that, Natasha have never shown that she knows Skye and Skye had been somewhat happy about that. She already has trouble connecting with the other kids, having them finding out about her and Natasha would just make things even worse. Looking at the assassin now, Skye can see that things are about to change.
Natasha have let her eyes scan the room, landing on her for a few seconds before going over to Evgenia to talk. Glancing towards them, Skye tries to figure out what they are talking about, trying to see if there's a chance, she can get out of it all. She realizes however she's stuck, what ever Natasha have planned, there's no way she can get out of it and none of her other siblings are here to save her now.
She somehow managed to catch Natasha's attention, hopping the worry and fear in her eyes will be enough for her to realize that Skye just wants to skip all of this. But the termination in Natasha's eyes tells her she has already made up her mind and there's no way out of it now.
"Alright class! Who wants to see Natasha show us some of the moves we are going to be go over the upcoming weeks?"
Evgenia asks, everyone except for her own hand is up in the air at this. Skye having a bad feeling about this, shrinks down even more, in a try to hide away.
"Good thing I let my stuff behind the last time. I'll just go and grab them real quick."
Skye can hear Natasha speak and she hopes she can just sneak out during this time. As she starts to move however, she can feel a pair of eyes on her, and she freezes. Of course, Evgenia would be keeping a close eye on her in this moment. And it didn't take long for Natasha to change, only mare minutes she walks right into the room once more. Her long hair pulled into a similar bun as Skye's own and she takes her stop in front of everyone else.
"You know what..."
She starts to say before Evgenia has a chance to start the music, in that moment, Skye wishes she never had asked to take these classes in the first place.
"Skye, come up here."
Natasha then adds and Skye can feel all eyes turning towards her once more, all she wants to do is to sink into the floor and never come back up. Seeing the determination in Natasha's eyes however, she slowly rises from the floor and walks over to her sister. Natasha on the other hand gives her a warm smile and bows down slightly, touching Skye's check.
"Let's show them why we dance."
She whispers, making Skye look at her out of surprise. She knew what moves Natasha is thinking about, she knows the lay out they would be dancing. It's the movements Natasha have been teaching her outside of class, the move meant and steps that Natasha just recently had told her will be perfect if she would ever need to fight someone.
They were going to pull the dance battle and Skye can't help but to smile slightly. She has loved this part of her training with Natasha from the first day they had started it. Clint had mention they acted just like two siblings would when doing it all. As she takes her spot in front of Natasha, Skye empties her mind, forgetting where they are in that moment and that there are others watching them. In this moment, it's only her and Natasha. Even if Natasha have won every round so far, she's not going down without putting up enough with fight.
Hearing the music play, they start, dancing around one another in a circle. Normally they would try and talk the other one down, this time around it's not needed. As they dance, Skye finally starts to relax, something she had not been able to do in the dance studio since the moment she had entered the training room. Maybe letting everyone know she has more connection with Natasha would be a good thing.
She had been very wrong about that. All of a sudden, Skye misses the moment where the other students would just ignore her.
