Last time- Battle over November City and Jeff exposed

This Time- Results of being exposed and battle wrap up

"Edge, Grimm hang back. Edge you're the lead," Jeff ordered.

"What about you Blaze?" Grimm asked.

Before Jeff could answer Mobius 1 came over the comms, "Mobius 1,2,3,4 and 9 are going to dog fight. Mobius 5,6,7,8 and 10, cover Wardog and help them protect the stadium."

Blaze then came back over the radio, "Look, I know I have some explaining to do but please listen to them. Protect the stadium and when we make it back, I will explain everything."

"Mobius this is Sky Eye. Yellows inbound 20 seconds."

Mobius 1 came back over the radio, "Air-Wolf, you ready?"

Blaze responded, "Yes-sir. Mobius 9 engaging."

Silence fell over the radio as the message radiated through the airwaves. Edge and Grimm started asking Blaze so many questions that Jeff had to tell them to shut up so he and the rest of Mobius could engage the Yellows. The fight turned into five one-on-one fights. During the fight, Jeff over shot and the enemy fighter was now chasing prompting Edge to try and engage.

"Edge engaging."

"Wardog 2 this is Sky Eye. Follow all orders from me or General Forrest until Thunderhead is back in control."

"Why should we listen to you?" Edge asked with ice in her voice.

Before Sky Eye could respond Blaze jumped in, "Edge you need chill. When all this is done you can punch me in the face for all I care but till then just listen to them."
There was a moment of silence, Edge then came back on the comms, "Understood."

"Don't be worried, Captain Nagase was it?" Mobius 5, a pilot named Gerard 'Spartan' Butler said over the comms.

"Yes sir," Edge responded.

"Yeah, Junior had to train with us, and we put him through the ringer," Jeremy 'Joker' Renner, Mobius 10 chuckled.

"Who's Junior?" Grimm asked.

A gruff voice came in over the radio, "The real TAC name we gave him was Wolf because he was a sniper. We just added the air to make it better. The Junior moniker is because he is the youngest out of all us," Gary 'Wiseman' McKellen, Mobius 8 stated.

"Why did he leave?" Edge started asking, "I mean he was with the best squadron in the world."

"We really didn't have the room to add him to the squadron at the time," Mobius 7 aka Kyle 'Merlin' Chessman started, "He was only with us during Operation Katina which lasted for about a year before he headed back home to Ustio. When Jeff called us when he was in flight training in Heirlark, that's when we knew he was in Osea."

"That doesn't explain why Yellow squadron is here," Edge said, her tone having a lighter tone to it.

"Somebody has been dumping a lot of money to the Erusian Military and the Erusian hardliners. We still have some boots on the ground and when they relayed a transmission coming from them telling Yellow Squadron to head to Osea and stop "Mobius 1". We were dispatched to come and help you guys out." Clint said

"You guys going back to Usea after this?" Grimm asked.

"Yeah, we gotta report this info back to our people and hopefully stop the hardliners from starting another war."

Meanwhile, Jeff was embroiled in one hell of a fight. His missile alarm was beeping like mad as he was jinking and trashing the enemy's missile lock. Blaze turned and caused the Yellow to overshoot. Now Jeff was on the offensive. The Yellow began pulling up and started to stall. He was doing the signature move of Yellow 13.

"Oh no you don't," Blaze grunted as he began to slow down and then dove after the enemy aircraft.

The enemy aircraft began leveling off and because of the lose of airspeed, Jeff had his shot lined up.

"Fox two," Loomis called out as the missile soared through the air, contacting the enemy plane.

"Mobius 9, splash one."

All the Yellows started dropping one by one till there was no one left but Mobius and Wardog.

"This is Sky Eye. Air Space sanitized. Good work Mobius."

"That's it for us," Brian said, "We are going to head back Usea. Hopefully we can track down the hardliners."

"Good seeing you, Wolf," Rob 'Zeus' Smith, Mobius 3 said.

"To bad we got to cut this short. Be safe Junior," Mobius 2 aka Dave 'Wolverine' Watson said.

"Thank for the help Brian. We would've been up shit creek if it wasn't for you," Jeff said with sincerity.

"Mobius 9, Sky Eye."

"What's Up?"

"I've been watching your AWACS transmissions. He is about to have a stroke."

"Ill calm him down. Thanks man."

There was a peel of static and Sky Eye was gone. The three Wardog pilots switched over to their own frequency and heard Thunderhead screaming franticly.

"Wardog respond. Edge, Grimm, Blaze answer me."

"Sorry about that Thunderhead," Jeff responded.

"Five Terminators appeared and started falling off my radar one by one. The only person that was engaging them was Blaze."

Jeff raised his eyebrow confused at the statement wondering how he missed nine F-22s. Then Jeff remembered that Mobius squadron wasn't transmitting any IFF.

"Edge and Archer hung back in case one of the ships got past me. We were protecting the VP," Jeff lying to get Thunderhead to calm down.

"What if they were too much?"

"They weren't too much, and I take it the stadium has been evacuated and the VP is safe?"

"Roger."

"Request permission to land at November City Airport to go and check on Chopper. Is there anyway we can get an escort to the hospital?"

"Roger that. Ill radio ahead and let the airport know what's going on. You did well today Wardog."

The three planes turned course and started to head to the airport. After a few minutes, they landed and were picked up by the local police department and escorted to the hospital. They opened the door to the SUV and walked through the sliding glass doors of November City General. Wardog walked up to the desk startling the receptionist wondering why the military was in the hospital.

"Ma'am, my name is Captain Jeffery Loomis. A pilot by the name of Alvin Davenport was brought here not to long ago and I was wondering if you could tell me where he is at?"

"Are you a family member or a relative?" the receptionist asked with a snarky tone.

"No, I'm not. I'm just checking…"

The receptionist cut Jeff off "Well then no, I can't tell you anything. Good-bye."

Jeff got pissed. Alvin was a friend and to Jeff like family and all he wanted was a little information.

"HEY!" Jeff screamed as the entire lobby got quiet, "Listen you stupid bitch. The three of us were fighting above November City making sure the Yuktobanian fighters didn't make it here and blow your fucking ass to high hell. How about this, you go find my friend and I don't shit kick the fuck out of your disrespectful ass?!"

Before the receptionist responded one of the ER doctors showed up, "I am Dr. Mills. If you guys want to follow me, ill take you to your friend."

Wardog followed the doctor and eventually made it to one of the floors labeled 'Medicine' and took them to 2C177. The saw Chopper hooked up to a couple of machines and had blood and IV bags hooked to his arm. There was a huge bandage wrapped around his head from the crash. Edge gasped and cover her mouth. She turned around and put her head on Jeff's chest. Grimm had a solemn look on his face with Grimm just shaking his head. Jeff pulled Edge off him for a minute and ran his hand over his head mouthing the words 'What the fuck.' Jeff then turned to the doctor.

"What's his status doc?" Jeff asked, "Is he going to make it?"

"Yeah, he will be fine. Some cuts, scraps, and bruising. No broken bones. He needed some stitches where some of the plane cut his leg. The main thing was there was some swelling coming from his head, so we had to do surgery to relieve the pressure. Other than that, just some rest and maybe a little bit of physical therapy he should be back in the air. You guys can go in the room and talk to him. I got to go but his nurse is coming if you need anything else."

"Thanks doc," Jeff said as he and the rest of Wardog shook his hand.

Grimm went in the room first. He told Chopper that he needed to get better so they could party after he heals up. Edge went in second. She was holding back tears and told Chopper that he needed to hurry up and heal so she could hear his useless chatter. Jeff went in last.

"Hey Chopper. Look you got to get better. Its not the same without you in the air with us. I was hoping you were going to be around when I told everyone that i flew with Mobius and that my dad and uncle are the Demon Lord and Solo Wing. I love you man and you need to heal up. Who else is going to call me Kid?" Jeff stated as he left Chopper's side and went out the door. All three pilots were waiting outside of Chopper's room when they saw a nurse walking toward them.

Chopper's nurse walked up to the three pilots, "Hey I'm Claire Thomas. Ill be his nurse so if there is anything you need here is a card with all the numbers you need to reach someone on this floor."

"Thank you, ma'am," Jeff said and turned around to the other two pilots, "There's nothing we can do here. He is going to be ok and hopefully he is back in the air with the rest of us soon. Let's start heading back to Sand Island and get some rest.

Edge gave the nurse a hug and told her to take care of him. Grimm shook her hand and told her thanks. Jeff gave her a piece of paper with some names and numbers on it.

"Don't lose those numbers," Jeff said warningly, "If anyone comes looking for him or us please call one of those numbers. Somebody will answer and there will be people able to protect him, you and anyone else that needs to be protected."

The nurse nodded her head and Jeff turned and starting walking toward the rest of Wardog. The warning Jeff gave the nurse scared her, but she felt like she could trust Jeff.

Jeff and the rest of Wardog were escorted back to the airport. They got in their planes and were once again in the air. The flight all the way back to Sand Island was quiet. All three pilots missing Chopper and just wishing he would make a quick recovery. Edge was still fuming over Jeff and his secret. 'How could he lie to me like that? I thought we were supposed to trust each other,' Edge thought to herself.

It was late when they returned home. After the debrief, Jeff was able to make it back to his room before Wardog could start asking questions. They next day was bright and sunny. Jeff was out by the tarmac playing fetch with Pops' dog Kirk when he heard footsteps. Grimm and Edge were standing in front of him. Edge looked more pissed than anything.

"You better start talking," Edge snapped before Jeff could say anything," I... I mean we, trusted you with our lives only to find out you've been lying to us. What's with all this 'teamwork and honesty' shit you keep spouting if you can't it even follow it. Holy shit, what else…."

Realizing Edge was getting angrier by the minute he cut her off, "Kei calm down. I will explain everything, but you must calm down and give me a chance. I have my reasons for being here."

"Which are what exactly?" Grimm asked with disappointment in his tone.

"If I would have came out and said I was with Mobius once upon a time or that the Demon Lord is my dad and Solo Wing is my uncle, would you have treated me different?"

Grimm nodded and Edge opened her mouth to say something but then closed her mouth.

"Exactly. Look my reasons for being here is because I wanted something that was all mine. I did a few years in Ustio Special Forces. When I fought for ISAF, I was Delta Force doing recon for Mobius. After we destroyed the Megalith, I wanted to become a fighter pilot, so Mobius 1 let me fly under him during Operation Katina."

"Then what?" Edge asked a lot calmer and more understanding.

"After Katina, I went back home to Ustio, trained with my dad and uncle and enlisted in the OADF and sent to Heirlark. I'm here because this is all me. I don't have to live up to my Dad and Uncle's names."

"I hear that," Grimm said a lot more cheerful.

"It makes sense," Edge said.

"Loomis," it was Pops and Genette coming to the three pilots, "Heard you had an interesting fight."

"Yellows," Edge said with sadness in her voice thinking of Chopper, "We had to fight the Yellows."

"Did Mobius show up?" Genette asked.

"Sure did. Blaze was amazing. Never knew he was that good," Grimm said excitedly.

"They know?" Pops asked.

"Yeah, Mobius Squadron showed up. Helped us mop up the Yellows," Jeff stated.

"You knew about Jeff?" Edge asked Pops

"I found out by mistake. Bartlett was showing me the gun came footage from your first engagement. Later that night a documentary about Operation Katina came on and I recognized the flying style and pieced it together after that."

"This is the first I'm hearing of this," Genette said

"Both of you have been keeping secrets?" Edge sounding hurt.

"Pops was just doing me a favor. You guys know me. I haven't acted any different," Jeff explained, "You guys just didn't know about my past. Now I'm glad that you know."

"Why's that?" Grimm asked.

Jeff smiled and had a dangerous look in his eye, "Now I don't have to hold back. I can let loose a little bit."

Pops starting laughing and motioned Grimm and Genette to come with him as he was headed back to the hangars. Grimm got up and left and it was just Edge and Blaze.

"You didn't have to keep from us," Edge said still feeling hurt that Jeff couldn't trust her.

"Edge I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier. If I would've told you who my family was and I flew with Mobius squadron, the only thing you would see me as is a resource and a referral."

Once again, Edge opened her mouth to respond then closed it. She nodded her head.

"You're right. I wouldn't be able to see anything past the callsigns. Where you ever going to tell us?"

"Yeah, I planned too. It was going to be after the November City airshow. I was hoping we could comeback, get a few drinks, eat some pizza or whatever. Didn't quite go according to plan. I deeply apologize, I should have done it sooner rather than later because it would have been nice to tell Chopper too. I sincerely apologize."

Edge knew Jeff was sincere with his apology. Knowing exactly who he was just showed how much trust he had in them.

"Its all right," Edge finally responded, "Now I know why you are so good."

"If it is any consolation, before we went to the inquiry committee, I asked Brian if anything went south if the four of us could join Mobius. He said he would make room. Look, lets head to my room get some pizza and beer so I can show you some stuff."

Edge having a big smile on her face followed Blaze as they went to go get Grimm and Pops. That night Pops, Genette, Grimm and Kei were in Jeff's room looking at all his memorabilia.

"Who are these guys?" Grimm asked giving Jeff a picture with him and eleven other people in it.

"That was my Special Forces squad when I was in Ustio. Since there really wasn't any conflict going on in the region, I didn't get any combat experience till I went to Usea."

Edge found a picture of Jeff, Larry Foulke and his dad, "So this is what Solo wing and the Demon Lord look like."

Genette found another picture, "Is this when you were in Ustio?" It was a picture of Jeff and four other men standing side by side.

"That was when I was in Usea. Right before the height of the war, we ended up getting ambushed and 7 of the other members were severely injured. Nobody died luckily but since we couldn't get any replacements, it was just the five of us."

"Are these the guys that saved us?" Grimm asked handing Jeff a picture with 10 pilots on it.

"Yup that's them," Jeff started to point to each person, "Brian Forrest, Dave Watson, Rob Smith, Danny Walker, Gerard Butler, Clint Barton, Gary McKellen, me and Jeremy Renner."

"What are they like?" Edge asked as Jeff handed her the photo.

"They're beasts. They are graceful as they are vicious. Can't really put into words."

"Who taught them?"

"Really couldn't tell you. I know Brian was trained by the original Mobius 1 and as far as the rest of them, I believe they came out of ISAF's ROTC Program."

"What made you go from being a soldier to a pilot?"

"We were the main recon team for Mobius. We gathered the intel and everything. One day, I just looked up and watched him dance in the sky. After we took out the Megalith, I really wanted to be a pilot. Now I can understand why pilots like the sky so much. There's a freedom up there that you don't get on the ground."

Everyone smiled. Jeff happened to look over at the clock. It was reading 2230.

"Hey guys, as fun as this has been, we need some sleep. We got a mission tomorrow."

"Aw, but we are having so much fun," Grimm said sarcastically helping Jeff put up his memorabilia.

"I don't know Jeff. Its going to be kind of hard to sleep after all this," Edge said.

Everyone was filing out one by one with Edge telling him night and closing the door.

'Not to bad,' Jeff thought to himself, 'Should've done this a long time ago. At least Chopper would've been there.'

Jeff rolled over on his side and finally drifted off to sleep.

Captain Hamilton was on a secure phone, somewhere on base where he wouldn't be found.

"Wardog is still alive I take it?" asked one of the Grey Men.

"Unfortunately. What is it you need from me?" Hamilton asked.

"Do they have a mission?"

"They are attacking Cruik Fortress tomorrow."

"Get them a tanker. Send the 8492nd Squadron to "escort" them back home. Eliminate them over the mountain range. There won't be any support to reach them in time. Keep us updated."

"Yes sir."

There was a click on the other end and finally dial tone coming from Hamilton's phone. Soon Wardog would be dead and Osea and Yuktobania will feel the power of Belka.

The next day dawned. The skies were clear. Wardog filed in the briefing room for their next mission. They were going to the impregnable Cruik Fortress. This thing was massive. From the images it reminded Jeff of one of those ancient coliseums. With the briefing concluded, the pilots started to head toward the hangar.

"Once we penetrate the fortress, the only place left is Cinigrad," Archer said.

"Yeah, but the place is massive. Its not going to be an easy fight," Blaze said.

"Is it going to be that bad?" Edge asked.

"From what it looked like the Yukes are grouping everything there. Tank battalions, infantry, supplies and munitions. Not to mention it looks like they got a few aircraft, and that bridge serves as a perfect runway."

If Osea didn't take this fortress, it would give the Yukes a chance to regroup and begin a counterattack and start pushing back to Oured. A worst-case scenario for the Osean higher ups. That's why Wardog was tasked with providing top cover. There were also going to be a few AC-10s and a couple AC-130s to provide air support for the ground so Wardog could keep air superiority.

"One more thing," Jeff said "Don't mention who I am to anyone. Just keep it among yourselves and around Pops."

"Secret is safe with me Jeff," Kei said.

Jeff smiled. He had noticed that Edge was using his first name a lot lately. He didn't think much of it. Wardog was soon in the air and headed to the fortress.
