Looney Tunes: Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote in

Boulder-Smash!

Written by Matthew Hawkins

(The scene is the traditional setting of the South-West American Desert. Our opening shot is a close up of the side of a pistol which reads in bold captials "ACME DISINTERGRATING PISTOL." The pistol is of course held by Wile E. who is squatting at the side of the road. On the other side is a cliff.)

Wile E.: (cocks his head sideways, the back of his head facing the camera as he hears...)

(shot of twisty, twiny road dust zooms along it. It's the Road Runner.)

Road Runner: "Beep Beep!"

Wile E.: (prepares to fire, smiling hopefully.)

Road Runner: (zooms past.)

(Alas Wile E.'s timing is off and the pistol misses its target and shoots the cliff on the other side of the road. The cliff disappears on top of which is a large boulder. The boulder staying in mid-air for a few seconds plummets down onto Wile E. leaving his arm on which he was holding the gun protruding from underneath it. He fires it again. The boulder disappears showing us Wile E.'s now pancaked form amid cracked road.)

(However Wile E., never one to give up tries with pistol again this time standing in the middle of the road. Again he hears...

Road Runner: "Beep Beep"

Wile E.: (Again, prepares to fire, smiling hopefully.)

(The Road Runner is going so fast that is bumps into Wile E., sending him flying into the air. The pistol lands on the ground first and fires on its own making a hole in the road which Wile E. falls through.)

(Overhead shot of Wile E. falling helplessly to the ground below. He hits the ground with a puff of smoke. In the smoke, text forms. It reads in blocked capitals...)

"THAT'S ALL FOLKS!"
