At the Vega home later that day
"Beck was very rude to me, he implied that I did something to you guys and that's why you weren't there" says Cat slowly recovering
"I'm sorry you had to go through that baby, I should have known better than to tell him I was going after Tori" says Jade
"d-d-did you just call me baby" stutters Cat
"just because you're not here with us doesn't mean you aren't part of this Cat, Tori made out with me earlier, after that we called a cardboard print out company and got a cut out of you to stand there, we're getting a pillow made too, it took a lot of explaining to convince them we aren't creeps" says Jade
"you guys really are going all out huh" asks Trina
"we're going to be here for four years so might as well settle in, oh Cat that reminds me we bought you one of those limited time unicorn computers, you know the one" says Tori
"OMG you DIDN'T, THAT COMPUTER HAS BEEN SOLD OUT FOR YEARS ESPECIALLY AFTER IT SHOWED UP IN THAT MOVIE" screams Cat
"it's actually one in the same, they've been looking for you, miss Cat's Hat Reviews, they loved your review so much that they wanted to sell you the computer used in the movie, every Cast member signed it after Jade paid for it" says Tori
"OOOOH CAN I SEE IT PLEEEEEASE" screams Cat excited
"it's not here yet, err they're shipping it to you not us, you can use it to communicate with us, it will be completely set up for you to use, it should be there in three days… wait Sadie why are you here" says Tori
"when Beck accused Cat of doing something to you guys us girls vowed to help Cat, she went into a catatonic state shortly after, completely unresponsive, Beck kept saying she was faking it, which wasn't true, it ruined his credibility, I'd crushed on him for years, now like many other girls I can't trust him, so I'm dating Trina now" says Sadie
"half the boys at school beat him up, Sadie said you used to be sisters with her Jade, is that true" says Trina
"it is yes, I was six at the time, my parents divorced, my dad started dating Sadie's mom but died of a brain aneurism shortly after, so I had to go live with my mom, to be quite honest being forced to be away from her is a dream, she's angrily texting me right now, she thinks I have a choice, she genuinely thinks I'm not there because I chose not to be, she's literally going insane about it, I had to tell a cop what my mom was doing and he laughed and said I could stay here as long as I want, that nobody deserved to be under someone who controls anybody like that, he said he'd give her a call" says Jade
"I wish we were still sisters Jade, we were fast friends, not many people know your anger was a cloud of deception, that you're just like Tori you just hide it because of how your mom treated you" says Sadie

"very, I'm already weird, I'm scared that if people find out I'll be a punching bag, I can't defend myself like I'd need to" says Cat

"Robbie would, I know many guys that would, all but Robbie are absolute creeps" says Cat
"Robbie was defending you today, more than even Andre was, Robbie rudely asked if he was going to try and ask you out again and he said 'why would I she was with Tori before summer break', Robbie understands the boundaries now, didn't you hear him" says Sadie
"no I didn't hear much if anything after I went catironic, everything gets muffled except for my name, I couldn't tell if people were defending me or talking to me, other than Beck apologizing to me the only thing I remember is wetting myself just before lunch, then grabbing Trina's hand, everything else is a blur" says Cat
"we should really take you to the hospital then, come on get up" says Trina
"what why" asks Cat suddenly terrified
"because Tori and Jade will kill us if anything happens to you" says Trina
"what do you mean" asks Cat
"Tori has a hell of a temper, she's managed to keep it under control so far, our mom wasn't exactly a great role model, as bad as it is to say I'm glad that man hit her with that car, Tori and I are better off without her" says Trina as they head to the car
"I don't understand, sure she wasn't the best mom but being happy someone hit her with a car, isn't that a little extreme" asks Cat
"let me know when you've heard enough, openly cheating, making our father feel worthless, forcing him to celebrate anniversary after anniversary even though she has never been faithful to him and had several children with different men, she treated them like gold while treating us like toilet water, her other children were allowed to be fruity and rainbow but Tori and I were forced to hide who we were since we were seven Cat, she would have made you dump Tori without a second thought and if you'd picked up both Tori and Jade she would have burned you to ash" says Trina as Cat returns to the catironic state out of sheer pain
"I've got her" says Sadie lifting Cat up with ease and setting her in the car
"should have been softer huh, maybe it was too much at once for her to learn" says Trina as she starts to cry and gets in her seat
"she would have needed to hear it at some point, anyway I'm driving" says Sadie
At the hospital 2 hours later
"what brings you guys here today " asks Nurse Geraldine
"Catatonic issues, this is her second time being set off today, we think it might be a brain issue, her brother was sent insane by laughing gas when he had his wisdom teeth out about five years ago or more" says Sadie
"could be cancer or a nerve issue, it has been known to happen, I'll set up an MRI scan, can you guys pay, that treatment isn't cheap" says Nurse Geraldine as Cat manages to pull something out of her hair
"uhhhh probably not, how much is the test alone…. Cat stop hitting me" says Trina as Cat drops what she was holding
"a thousand dollars, unless there is either an underlying condition or the person has coverage" says Nurse Geraldine as Sadie picks up what Cat dropped
"this card says starlight insurance with a reference number" says Sadie as she hands the laminated card to Geraldine
"whoa that's not a company I hear often, they only insure families with a clear line of mental health problems and even then very few can afford them, can I have a name to go with this number" says Nurse Geraldine
"Catarina Valentine, she goes by Cat Valentine though" says Trina as Geraldine types that in
"oh this is going to be interesting" says Nurse Geraldine
"why" asks Sadie
"because doctors hate her, I can tell that just by looking at her file they just didn't care about her diagnosis', she's currently on a medication known to cause cancer in muscles and the brain is a muscle, that should be where we go first" says Geraldine as Cat suddenly comes out of Catatonia
"where am I" asks Cat
"at the hospital dear, explain what you experience, maybe we can narrow it down to a few things besides the medication" says Geraldine
"blurry vision, sounds Uhh sound funny, I can't stand in my own nor can I stop myself from peeing, I can't say anything and I can only move my arms" says Cat
"guess we're screening for everything, let's get you all hooked up" says Geraldine
45 minutes later as the first test result comes in
"how bad is it" asks Trina seeing that Cat is asleep
"we can take her off two meds, thankfully she isn't required to be up for this particular MRI scan we're doing, there is a limited time window" says Geraldine as she begins moving Cat
"what are you looking for" asks Sadie as Cat stirrs
"abnormalities or growths, like cancer or cysts, basically anything out of the ordinary, I've already noticed several things about her brain, if it were a person it would be a world record marathon runner, which honestly could be part of the problem, anyway can you please press the mobile button on her heart and lung monitor please" says Geraldine as Trina does so
"any chance we can go with, if she wakes up in that MRI thing she's going to go nuts" says Trina
"yes now let's go" says Geraldine
The next morning after 30 different tests
"we think we've narrowed it down" says Geraldine
"what is it" asks Cat
"you do have cancer, luckily it's early, we don't usually catch this one this early, this particular cancer has a nasty habit of hiding from doctors, we were extremely lucky to find it" says Geraldine
"what are my options" asks Cat
"you could choose to not get chemo and save your beautiful hair but you would only have about a year to live, with chemo you could outlive us all, like I said we rarely ever catch this cancer this early, the normal life expectancy for this cancer is three months Catarina when it is normally caught, you have a chance to be one of the very few people who beat this cancer" says Geraldine
"what are my options" asks Cat again
"did she not hear you" asks Trina
"no her memory is looping, I need someone to consent to chemo right now" says Geraldine
"hold on I'm calling her mom" says Trina as she dials Debora
"what is it Trina" asks Debora
"ok so we're at the hospital, I had a feeling something was wrong, turns out Cat has cancer and her memory is looping, the doctor says she needs someone to consent to chemo right now" says Trina
"go ahead, treat her" says Debora
"her mom says go ahead" says Trina
"ok I have to go to work Trina let me know how it goes" says Debora as she hangs up
10 minutes later as Beck shows up
"what are you doing here Beck" asks Trina as Cat is yet again asleep
"I heard she was in the hospital and I felt responsible for it" says Beck
"look what you did was bad yes but she has cancer, had you not done what you did we might never have known, it's a really bad cancer and it was luckily caught early thanks to what you did, wait what's that big box you wheeled in here" says Sadie
"it's from Tori and Jade, some sort of computer, these people made a big show about it calling for Cat Valentine only to find out she didn't show up today" says Beck
"are you serious" asks Sadie
"yes, they said it was from some sort of show about unicorns or something, they were like Cat clones, I couldn't follow anything they said it was very confusing" says Beck
"OOHHH that computer, ya they said it wasn't supposed to get here for a few days, Cat was super excited, she's wanted it for forever, you might as well stay here for now, she needs all the support she can get right now" says Trina
"doesn't she hate me because of what I did" asks Beck
"right now she's lucky if she remembers you, that cancer is super aggressive, it went from making triggering her catatonia easy to putting her memory on a whiteboard where it erases it every three minutes, the cancer is on the part of her brain that regulates body temperature, when her brain overheats it puts making memories on the back burner, which means she's not going to remember any of this hospital stay, the doctor said she couldn't have had it for more than a few weeks, the cancer kills people fast when it gets past stage one" says Trina
