3 weeks later as Cat returns to School in a wheelchair
"oh my god, Cat are you ok" asks Robbie
"she has no memory of you Robbie, she barely remembers Tori or Jade, cancer cooked her brain, she's cancer free now but she won't be able to participate in any classes, she's just here to exist and chat, her memories may come back one day but today isn't that day" says Trina
"did Beck cause this" asks Principal Eichner
"no, what he said to her that day was cruel sure but it opened the door for us to realize something was very wrong with Cat, as bad as what Beck said was, had he not we never would have found the cancer and she would have been dead less than a year from now" says Trina
"everyone here made something for her when they found out she had cancer, they don't care that she is long distance dating Tori and Jade…. She does remember that right" says Andre
"just about the only thing she remembers, the only problem is she can't put the name to the face, you can talk about them all day and she will be engaged in the conversation but if you show her a picture of them she will ask who they are, even if you've already done that, her memory lasts about ten or so minutes, it is expected that it will return to normal in the sense that she will be able to retain memories but old memories could be gone forever" says Sadie
"she can stay in my class all day every day if she needs to, they made a corner for her where she can sit, like Andre said everyone has gifts for her" says Sikowitz
"it's best they laminate cards with their picture and name so she can have something to reference when they talk to her" says Sadie
"understood" says Sikowitz as new student Olivia White walks over
"where did she get that music CD" asks Olivia pointing to the Lemonade Mouth CD Cat is listening to
"is it yours…. It was given to her by a former band member in the hospital, if it's yours she will give it back, it's just she really likes the music" says Trina
"no no that's my band, or was, after Stella died we didn't have the confidence to move on, the person who gave her the cd is probably my girlfriend Mo, her and her boyfriend broke up for the same reason the band broke up, the last thing the band did together was make an album for those who are less fortunate, she has a tendency to hand them out to people in the hospital" says Olivia
"how'd she die" asks Cat randomly
"she'd talked about wanting to surf the crowd, she wasn't as light as she looked to our fans, Stella tripped at the edge of the stage and before anyone could get a hold of her, again because she wasn't as light as she looked she dove head first into the cement floor of the event location we were at, her neck had snapped, it wasn't a pretty sight either, lots and lots of blood, anybody in the first six rows required therapy, luckily the band insurance paid for everything, when I came out as bi Mo was the only one left around to support me, speaking of here she comes" says Olivia as Mohini walks over
"Liv I'm not sure I like this school, everyone's staring at me" says Mo
"you'll get used to it, you should be counting your lucky stars your dad let you move halfway across the country with me A GIRL, he was only just getting used to Scott when you broke up with him and walked into my arms" says Olivia
"to be fair he always kinda had a soft spot for you, to be quite honest, when I'd invite you over to help with homework regularly, before I really knew you he actually assumed we were dating and that studying was a code word for kissing that girls who liked girls used to keep it hidden" says Mo
"that actually clears up a ton of confusing conversations him and I had back then and why he's wink when he called me Liv, which I've always liked better but I always had to correct him and tell him my name was Olivia" says Olivia as Cat falls asleep
"he likes calling people what they want to be called, also did she just fall asleep" says Mo
"ya she's on what the hospital calls Mobile Chemo, less hospital visits that way, it puts her to sleep so it can do its job, it's kinda painful actually, anyway we should get to Sikowitz' class" says Trina
"it's actually laid back today, it's what I call Cat appreciation day, as annoying as she can be without her here people realized just how much she added, it's going to happen once a week" says Principal Eichner
"people really missed her that much, that's going to surprise her, she mentioned that if people found out she was planning to date or or is dating two girls in this case, that she'd be a punching bag" says Trina
"she chose to be annoying to ward off creeps Trina, if anyone was going to hit her they'd have already done it, people actually found it endearing that Jade turned soft for Tori and Cat, she was seen as the impossible girl, even when she was dating me people never believed she could be that soft, her being soft enough to care about Cat on a level nobody has ever gotten with Cat was seen as impossible" says Beck
"she's softer than you think" says Trina
"where'd that come from, she was never soft with me" asks Beck
"because her mom forced her to act a certain way and honestly never liked you, we know this because Tori and Jade were on a video call with us last night, it left Cat crying, it was the only time so far that her memory held firm" says Trina as holograms of Tori and Jade walk over
"maybe we can help" says Hologram Tori
"ok when did this become a thing" asks Sadie
"they asked Sinjin for a favor, they paid him a hundred dollars to make these hologram projections of them so they could be around Cat even if only as holograms, Tori and Jade control everything from London, all Sinjin has access to is the activation code and once activated can't be deactivated" says Robbie
"so Sinjin can't make these holograms say anything or suggest anything inappropriate" asks Principal Eichner
"absolutely not, and the projectors are sitting in Tori's Locker which I had to open for him to put them in there" says Robbie
"then they may remain on the condition they be adhered to Cat's wheelchair" says Principal Eichner
"it's one unit and its pretty heavy, unless Cat can hold it or it can be safely secured to her wheelchair I'd warn against that sir" says Robbie
"how heavy is it exactly and how does it even work, I can guarantee she's going to cry all day" asks Sadie as Sinjin pops up out of nowhere
"I'm glad you asked, it's a small computer, it weighs about three and a half pounds, it runs off a set of three car batteries, it turns webcam footage into a three-dimensional image by using a complex program then projects it using special restricted length lasers" says Sinjin
"is any of that legally obtainable by the average person or is it government technology" asks Beck suspicious
"is anything I do ever legal, look I just want to see her smile, I may seem creepy but seeing people smile is what wakes me up every day, not having Cat around to brighten up everyone's day, it just wasn't the same, is Cat normal No, will she ever be normal, also no and we shouldn't try and change that, I know that if someone ever gave me the chance to feel loved then I was separated from them even for a moment, I know I'd be crying my eyes out till I saw them again, could I have manipulated the tech to suit me instead of Cat sure but I didn't because Cat's smile is contagious and without it the world just seems duller" says Sinjin

"Cat may not show it around here but she's a geek just like Robbie and I, us geeks stand together no matter what, in asking me to build the computer Tori told me Cat once wanted to go to space, that besides music she wondered about the stars, that alone sent me crying, that because she is pretty she has to be afraid for her life, so much that she is too afraid to be herself, nobody deserves to live like that" says Sinjin as Cat wakes up
"who's that ghost thing" asks Cat pointing to hologram Tori
"it's a hologram of Tori, one of the princesses you love that are far away" says Trina
"oh cool, where's the other one… ugh her name is on the tip of my tongue" says Cat
"Jadelyn West Activate" says Sinjin as the Jade West hologram pops up and walks towards Cat
"is this real or completely fake" asks Cat
"their movements are real, but as they are a hologram they are not here, it is a recording, they recorded a bunch of audio of them answering possible questions, here's a microphone, ask a question" says Sinjin as Cat panics
"I'm too scared…. I need to pee" says Cat as Trina rushes her to the bathroom
"same old Cat, why did she have to get cancer" says Robbie
"she was just unlucky, she's just happy to be surviving, while she is having memory issues now the doctor says it is possible to hack into it, I think the holograms are the key" says Sadie as Hologram Jade's outfit suddenly changes
"Finally I'm in, that would be correct Sadie, neither tori or I could sleep, she's asleep now and I should be heading to bed shortly so we can be awake when she leaves school" says Jade
"what is the plan to hack into her memories to restore them" asks Robbie
"my dad's friend who works in the cancer field says her memory problems started too quickly if they actually caught the cancer as early as they said they did, Cat did say she had a bump on her head last week, it's possible she hit her head in or on the MRI machine, that's the only thing my dad's friend says makes sense" says Hologram/Real Jade
"ok I'll admit it is great to hear your voice again Jade but in this form it's kind of more freaky than anything" says Beck
"why do you think I opted to do it, I may be softer now but I like freaking people out still, anyway Cat's brain is currently very fragile, Sinjin you are to either build another of these machines that she can put on her wheelchair or build one that can be plugged in at Trina's which is where Cat is staying, in Tori's room, anyway Tori and I will occasionally take over the holograms of us, if anyone notices the switch do NOT tell Cat, it could set her off, if it's head trauma the shock could make it worse" says Hologram/real Jade as Cat wheels herself over quietly
"you can throw that theory out the window, my memory does better when I hear your voices, head trauma or not even just hearing your voice seems to help, last night during the video chat I was able to write a song, I wish you guys were here" says Cat
"we do too Cat, trust me we wish we were there, unfortunately my outburst at the airport forced us apart, if you ever need to hear us don't be afraid to text or call, We haven't slept well lately, it's been about three weeks since we had a good night's sleep, we can't keep ourselves from worrying about you" says Hologram/real Jade
