"there's someone at the door Jade can you get it I'm not dressed yet" asks Tori as Jade answers the door
"we didn't order anything miss" says Jade
"this is strange to us too Miss West, some American lawyer flew here and dropped this big box off at the local post office, it moves" says the mailwoman
"an American lawyer huh, did he have an LA accent" asks Jade
"actually ya kinda" says the mailwoman
"Cat get out of the box" says Jade as Cat attempts to
"wait it's a human" asks the mailwoman shocked
"our girlfriend, I should have seen this coming, after what happened at Heathrow in august then when she got cancer she's terrified of planes, I should have seen this coming, do you have a box cutter, we aren't allowed sharp knives at the moment" says Jade as the mailwoman slowly cuts the box
"why of all things would she mail herself here, it doesn't seem fair" asks the mailwoman
"that's easy, the cancer killed her ability to regulate her temperature and you guys use temperature controlled vans for this time of year and as a result of her chemo walking hurts her if she walks for an extended period of time" says Jade as Cat crawls out of the box
"well given you can't purchase her I'd have to assume she came here of her own free will so I won't let anyone report you, anyway I have other mail to deliver, have a good day" says the mailwoman as she leaves and Jade closes the door
"Cat why did you come here" asks Tori walking over still only half dressed
"fire" says Cat unwilling to elaborate
"what fire, Cat what happened" asks Jade hugging Cat tight
"it's my fault, I was in science class and my project exploded, ten people died, my mom was one of them" bawls Cat
"why was your mom at school" asks Tori as everyone walks in
"it wasn't her fault but Hollywood arts doesn't exist anymore, Deborah Valentine was there as a guest speaker, the teacher accidentally mislabeled the chemicals in that days learning experiment and Cat eager to show she hasn't gotten dumb because of the cancer mixed the chemicals as instructed, had she not done it ahead of everyone else, there would have been more death, Cat has minor burns on her feet but she survived, half of her class didn't however and she's taking it harshly" says Olivia
"Uhh I'm not fully dressed" says Tori not having expected people to just walk in
"it's ok we're all girls here" says Sadie
"did Andre or Beck survive" asks Tori covering herself in a blanket
"Andre is alive yes, Back isn't expected to as he was right in the explosion zone, Deborah shielded him, Andre noticed early and managed to get Cat as far away as he could from the explosion zone before it burst into flames and glass shards, for some reason the school wasn't given any chemical fire… fire extinguishers this year so there was no putting out the fire, anyone who was suspected to have died was pulled from that room as quickly as they could, they saved as many locker doors as they could, yours and Jades were one of the few that they could get off in one piece" says Trina handing Tori her locker cover
"…. So it's all gone" asks Tori
"yes, only ten people died, Cat like I said didn't take it well, thankfully she wasn't charged as the teacher understood he made a mistake" says Mo as she pushes Tori into her room so she can get changed and walks back out
"how could a teacher make such a big mistake" asks Jade upset but comforting Cat as Cat falls asleep in her arms
"it was his first year teaching, he was nervous because Cat and another girl who survived with minimal burns looked so frail that he picked up two chemicals and put them in vials without noticing the warning to never mix them, the girls name is Isabelle and she's from here, she's the prime minister's niece, as soon as Isabelle is stable she's coming back here, do you guys like own this house" says Olivia as Tori returns fully dressed
"wait the Isabelle Scott" asks Tori
"the one and only" says Trina as they all sit down
"we don't officially own this house no, why" asks Jade
"Because it's massive, enough rooms for all of us by the looks of it" says Olivia
"it's got six rooms upstairs and three down here, is that enough, because right now this house would sell for two hundred grand, being technically under travel restrictions I'm not allowed to own property, neither is Tori" says Jade
"could Cat buy it" asks Trina
"yes and no, yet again her age is the issue, her dad would have to cosign and he isn't here" says Jade as Tori cuddles Cat and Jade
"actually that's the interesting part, he did move here, Deborah's agreement with Darrel was always stick with Cat, her brother is here too, they're looking at a house on the other side of town, if either parent died the surviving parent would follow the children and both Cat and Henry wanted to live here, something about being close to their Italian family" says Sadie
"their cousin Cassandra is a model, they make big money, they were in the city yesterday and after their photo shoot they came by to visit, they were so excited to see Cat on video chat" says Tori
"Cat hasn't slept well in days, it's been two weeks since the accident, wait is Cassandra the one that wears lace around her neck" asks Trina
"THEIR neck and yes, did I not just say they or their like seven times, Cassandra is gender fluid, companies love her for it, they have no problem wearing boys clothing, girls clothing or whatever, as long as it's in good taste, as in no nudity they will agree to model in it" says Tori
"oh ok, well they met us at the airport Cat was supposed to walk in like the rest of us but Cassandra gave Cat the option to be the center of attention" says Sadie
"normally Cat's afraid of being center of attention, though being she was in London again I can see why she'd want to just this once, we weren't expecting her for a few more weeks" says Jade as Cat cuddles them tighter
"she seems happy, anyway is it okay for us to live here with you guys, like I said we're all girls, privacy isn't a problem here, if you'll have us were supposed to let Darrel know" says Sadie
"Cat's support needs are probably pretty high right now so sure why not, I'm sure the idea was Cat's anyway so why say no" says Tori as Olivia texts Darrel to let him know where to send their stuff
"actually it was her brother's idea, until the moment we landed here Cat was trying to convince us it was a terrible idea, then she saw Cassandra and stopped talking, hasn't said a word since" says Mo
"her and Cassandra haven't been in the same room since she was three, what appeared to be a fit of aggression on Cassandra's side was really a mental condition called Diane rage syndrome, basically one part of Cassandra's brain over-reacts to the smallest trigger and sets her on ends up being a fight fest, Cassandra had broken Cat's nose, Cassandra was put in a high security mental facility for five years meaning Cass was never given a chance to apologize even though she couldn't have controlled it" says Tori as Cassandra walks out of the kitchen
"wait how are you here" asks Olivia
"this is my house Olivia" says Cassandra
"oh, you know I love the paint choice" says Olivia
"I've lived here since I was ten and I've hated it, I live here with my aunt Julie, she painted this house, I'm glad somebody loves it" says Cassandra
"Marigold Yellow has always been one of my favorite colors, that and Purple velvet" says Sadie
"did you know Tori is Velvet Starlight" asks Cassandra
"umm excuse me what… no that's not possible, Velvet Starlight gives most of her money to charities, surly if that was Tori she'd have some extra cash and not be broke" says Trina
"what can I say Trina, I'm terrible with money" says Tori
"why would you keep this secret from me" asks Trina
"many reasons, for one you tend to put me down or tell me I'll never make it in music, for another anything I do you steal, if it's not public that it's MY music you try to pass it off as your own, Velvet Starlight is anonymous for a reason Trina, mainly to protect me from your ego" says Tori
"what's the other reason" asks Trina feeling ashamed that she's the reason Tori had to keep it quiet
"I have stage fright Trina, as much as I may have enjoyed being up on that stage doing plays at school, my stomach was always a problem, I always felt like I was going to puke, Velvet Starlight may be famous but I'll never be able do concerts like I'd hoped I would be able to some day, I have outfits and everything, that's why dad always had money problems" says Tori
"I should have been a better sister huh" asks Trina
"that would have only fixed half the problem Trina, if anything because of the way you were growing up, it made me who I am today, could you have been nicer sure but it prepped me to deal with any haters" says Tori as Cat wakes up
"is this really real, I thought I was dreaming" asks Cat
"it is, you're here to stay princess" says Jade
"…. So I really did burn down the school" asks Cat mortified
"it wasn't your fault, neither is your mom's death, she could have ran outside of the danger zone yet she chose to protect Beck, she made a choice, as far as the fire is concerned the teacher was nervous having you and Isabelle in class because you both have mobility issues one way or another, it made him accidentally put one chemical where it wasn't supposed to be, you were never at fault Cat" says Trina
"Isabelle and I made him nervous…. I don't understand" asks Cat
"it was supposed to be an elephant. toothpaste experiment, basically big hot foam coming out of the beaker, he was afraid that because you both have mobility issues that if it expanded too fast you or Isabelle would get hurt, as a result he made a dire error, obviously he lost his job over it, the school board did an odd thing however and bartered with the London justice system and as a result when the school is rebuilt All of us, Tori and Jade included will get to cut the ribbon" says Sadie
"what's the catch" asks Tori
"you guys have to wear ankle monitors, special ones that responds to a phone number so it can be tracked here, after all you guys have made this place your home, therefore you are under the eye of the local laws" says Trina
"but we don't own a home here, they were forced to stay here because of the damage they caused" says Cat confused
"consider my home your home now Cat, I have owned this house since I turned eighteen and I'm barely ever here, Tori and Jade have every right to stay here, I have no problem letting you guys call this place home, it's always felt so empty here, I'm off to another shoot tomorrow, feel free to liven up the place" says Cassandra
"but I want to spend time with my cousin…." cries Cat
"it's a three day shoot in Copenhagen Cat, I promise when I get back I'll spend the day with you, the pre Christmas season is a very busy time for me, companies want to get their shoots in before December first as that's the Christmas magazine deadline and I'm a hot ticket item due to me being gender fluid" says Cassandra
"how much do you make" asks Cat as Cassandra glares
"I'm not allowed to tell, my contract makes it classified, just know the fridges will be far from empty, does Mohini celebrate Christmas" says Cassandra
"some form of it yes, please call me Mo not Mohini please, I prefer Mo, my parents never had much money so getting any presents were always about gratitude and not greed or envy" says Mo
