Emily and Luz walked to Hexside, Emily looking a little more tired than Luz.
"Hey, are you okay?" Luz asked.
"I'm fine, I was just helping Johnathan with his homework last night." Emily said, "He's a smart kid, but he just needs a little help every now and then."
Luz walked and saw the twins.
"Emira, Edric, where's Amity?" Luz asked.
"We don't know, she never came home last night!" Emira said.
"What do you mean she never came home?" Luz asked.
"She left and never came back, we're worried about her." Edric said.
"Alexa is too. She's been crying none stop." Emira said.
Luz started to panic and was about to run to the castle and tell her dad to send guards out all over, when Emily grabbed her wrist.
"Luz, just wait a second. There is no telling that this is a bad thing, maybe she just fell asleep at the library." Emily said, "You told me she does that often."
"Yeah, but... she would've at least called then." Luz said.
"Maybe she didn't have the chance to." Emily said, "I'm sure nothing bad is going to-"
Emily was cut off when the entrance to Hexside blew up, sending Luz, Emily, Edric, and Emira to the ground. They were knocked unconscious upon impact with the ground. Emily didn't know how long she was out, but there was panic and the entrance of the school was being put out by water spells.
"Luz?" She asked, before looking around, "Luz!? Luz, where are you?!"
In another part of the Isles, Luz was woken up by someone snapping their fingers.
"Wake up, little one. It's time for you to say hello to your uncle."
