Honeymoon in Ireland
"oh my God aunt Gabbie this house is amazing, I never expected you'd have such a nice house because you're a priest" says Tori taking in the house and view
"I didn't, I lived in a tiny house, the people from my church got money together and bought it for me, they believe that someone as open about sexuality and helping the little ones my church understand themselves as I do, that I deserved a nice house to help them in, they didn't just buy it for me, I'd take a child for a week and help them if they were struggling with gender identity or sexuality and give them a safe space to explore, my congregation loves it" says Gabbie
"isn't that against the belief of the church" asks Jade
"my church is one of a kind, it's the rising sun church here in west Ireland, our belief is that we are made in God's image but corrupted by the evils of the world, that means that we are taught to be a certain way, not that we are a certain way, it's an inclusion church, we have many former drug addicts that preach the dangers of peer pressure and the dangers of addiction, we have people from all walks of life here, Cassandra used to visit more often before last summer when Cat brought you guys to London" says Gabbie
"but she's not religious" says Cat confused
"she wasn't looking for prayers, she was looking for answers, she'd known for years she liked girls, she was afraid if she'd stopped keeping it that society would fling her to the darkest depths of the ocean before they'd accept her being gay, I sent her a message about my church but never expected her to visit, the first time she came by she was terrified that the people of my church would shun her" says Gabbie
"so we're ok to live here for a bit, it's move here and our honeymoon idea was to explore Ireland" asks Jade
"my congregation would love to meet you guys, the things you guys have done or helped people do, it's the core of my church, it's why they bought me a house, ever since the news hit about you and Velvet's big donations they look up to you, you don't get many rich people just handing out money like that around here, everyone shares what they can, it's a poor community" says Gabbie
"I made half a million pounds just this month on my first official Velvet Starlight album, Rebirth, how would this community love a piece of that" says Tori
"this community desperately needs money like that but they will not ask, they will only take it if offered, they take pride in working hard for their money, the only time they accept gifts of money is if they're in the hospital or were in an accident" says Gabbie
"how many people live here" asks Tori
"maybe eight thousand, including children" says Gabbie
"oh how about this, I noticed many houses needed painting or new roof shingles, also an area of the town that was very littered, I will pay for paint and shingles and three grand per person to clean up the littered side of town, Tori will give everyone sixty-two and a half grand each, including the children if they do that" says Jade
"that would be money well spent" says Tori
"you'd really give this community, a bunch of people you don't know, half a million dollars of your hard earned money" asks Gabbie
"my dad grew up with nothing, he got a job that got my family a nice house and me into a school that got me here, as a result of him being a cop he was rarely ever home, my mom cheated every day since I was born, he only stayed with her because she paid half the bills, I barely ever got to cuddle with him like most children get to, I can count on one hand how many times he made me smile by letting me cuddle him, all because he had to get a job that kept him away from us, taxes end up taking almost half his money every cheque day, he spent four hundred dollars on a flight just to be at my wedding, that's money he doesn't readily have to just spend like that, when it comes time for Cat, Jade and I to discuss kids, I know my job will allow me to be there for them no matter what, I made two trillion dollars on the singles I released before people knew who I really was, when I outed myself on my streams that money doubled almost overnight, if I can help people be with their kids more or not have to worry about not having enough money then I have to do what I can, my fans support my decision to help others, I'd managed to get a whole community in LA to do exactly that, they pooled money together and bought homeless people food for a whole month" says Tori
"what about taxes, the taxes here would take five percent of that money from each person" says Gabbie
"not my money, I teamed up with a European bank where the money is stored, its tax free for the recipient of the money I donate to them, I pay five hundred per cheque book so it is tax free, nobody receiving my donations pays any tax on said donation till they spend it and that's only tax on the items they purchase, I will write a half a million dollar cheque to the big Irish bank here and have them dish out the money once a household has finished the tasks Jade gives them they will be given access to their share, unless the children are toddlers, any kid under six years old in this case, they are to be given the money if they are older than six" says Tori
"how is this money to be distributed" asks Gabbie
"via slips with Tori and I's signatures, based on how many people in this town engage they will be given a slip with a number out of the total number of people involved, so say everyone gets involved, all eight thousand people, the slips would read x out of eight thousand, they hand that to the bank here in town holding Tori's money and they will be given a cheque from the head of the bank, the number of cheques are based on how many kids they have, which I will ask for such number before I give them said slip so the bank will have said information on it" says Jade
"then rest up, make love I don't care how you do it, if this is going to happen then doing so at my church tomorrow at noon is the best chance to do so" says Gabbie
"why is that" asks Tori
"because dangling a reward in front of people wanting to do good things is a good motivator" says Cat
"that and this town could use an injection of cash in three years ten businesses had to close because they couldn't stay afloat, Ireland went into a mini recession when a big bank in northern South Ireland went bust, something about criminal activity with peoples savings, three hundred thousand people in the whole of Ireland lost their homes and savings, the investigators still haven't found all the money, Ireland could use a boost" says Gabbie
"this town is a priority right now but I do have a company based in Scotland that can help, it's a Europe funded company that helps victims keep their homes, it's called Victims United, I can give them a call and see how fast they can rectify funding issues for those here that lost their homes when that bank collapsed" says Jade
"how on earth do you have a company for this exact problem, seems fishy to me" asks Gabbie
"my dad died several years ago, almost a decade actually, it was his company, he willed his companies to me once I turned eighteen, as of last year I own them all, bank people committing crimes with customers money isn't uncommon, it's why he created the company to begin with, to prevent families from being put on the streets, being a victim of a bank related crime is one of the cases the company covers, last year a teenager was left with the home after her family died in a car crash, southern Italy, the bank refused to let her keep the house, even though her aunt who lived in Central Italy planned to move there to "live" in the house, the bank was threatening to put her in foster care, with someone they would choose, VU got involved and won the legal case, saved that girls life, they have enough funding to cover everything the people here need, it's based in Scotland with an office in Dublin and London, as well as Paris" says Jade
"and you can't do this yourself" asks Gabbie
"the money isn't mine to use, I own the company, I don't run it, I'm the face of the company, I can bring them cases but I can't make them take any of them up, it's their decision and I have no say in that, the money they receive from the EU is theirs to use not mine, my wealth comes from family money, not people's pain Gabriella, there is a difference, anyway me and my girls should sleep, thanks for letting us stay here" says Jade as they head up to the bedroom
"please lock your door, I'm hosting a fresh thirteen year old girl whose questioning her sexuality and it would be the end of what I do to help them outside of church if she managed to walk in on you guys, if never hear the end of it from her father" says Gabbie as Cat stays back
"I'll be up in a minute, my aunt and I need to talk" says Cat
"ok but don't be too long your vest will run out of power soon" says Tori closing the door to the bedroom
"you and Ray broke up huh, he got custody of Cally" asks Cat
"he didn't like the whole church thing, he didn't mind me being a priest but he didn't like how engaged I was with the church, always said I went too far, that it wasn't my job to be there for my younger congregation, that it was their parents job, she doesn't even remember me, she was three when the court gave him full custody of her, told the court I neglected her" says Gabbie
"on some level she knows auntie, memories are formed, whether she can recall them is another thing, Valentine's have amazing memories, mom sent me away the day I was born, I'd only gotten one look at her and from the moment I could talk I was saying her name with great anger, nobody even knew who she was or how I knew her name, Cally is old enough to choose where she wants to live, Ray wouldn't be letting her be around you if she didn't know that" says Cat
"but she calls me Pastor Valentine, she can't possibly know who I am" says Gabbie
"you forget Valentine's have gifts, powers really, I'm drawn to water, Isabelle is drawn to rocks and ice, Anna is a shape shifter of sorts, don't tell anyone I told you that, she will have my head, anyway Cassandra was born with immense beauty, a light in this dark world, the only thing we have in common is our ability to remember almost everything, if she doesn't call you mom it's because of your fear, she can sense it" says Cat as Cally ironically walks out from her room
"hi Catarina…. You know about my memory thing" Cally
"it's a Valentine special, how long have you known Gabbie here was your mom" says Cat
"always, dad realized he'd made a mistake when I realized I might like girls, he's never been good at that kind of thing, he's never really understood what being gay meant, he's supportive but talking about it weirds him out, the school recommended talking to you" says Cally
"did he ever talk bad about me, about being obsessed with helping people like you" asks Gabbie
"never, he misses you, says the church would never allow us to be a family again" says Cally
"my church isn't regulated by the Catholic Church Cally, it's an inclusion church, a section of the Catholic Churches broke off from the main church system several years ago, said they weren't doing enough to be inclusive, my church is one of them, I was in a family when I began preaching and the church said if they ever came back I would be allowed to be in a family again, though pregnancy would have to be a discussion with them, I don't know if he would be with me again, he's not religious and the thought of discussing pregnancy with anyone other than family has always freaked him out" says Gabbie
"he said I could live with you if I wanted, I love it here, dads always working, rarely ever home" says Cally
"I don't really know how to be a parent Cally, the last time I was around you I was still changing your diapers, how am I supposed to take care of you" says Gabbie
"the girl I think I have feelings for, her parents go to your church, her name is Julie, Julie Stoneright" says Cally
"ahh little terrified Julie , yes she was here two weeks ago, she's terrified of Ray, she's wanted to talk to you for about a month but because Ray is buff she's afraid he won't let her say a word to you, do you both go to the same school, she mentioned that you had been taken out of school last year" says Gabbie
"not by choice, a bully broke my nose and dad pulled me out, switched me to online, I haven't been really anything but sad since, I haven't seen her in a year, she's all I think about, it scares me" says Cally
"why'd he hit you" asks Cat as her vest beeps
"we had a project together and he hugged me without asking first, I screamed and he hit me, I don't like boys hugging me the way he did" says Cally
"how long do you have before your vest shuts off Cat, Cally I will call Julie's parents and have them bring her over, they called yesterday, said she'd locked herself in her room" says Gabbie
"about ten minutes, I really should get up to the room, Cally do not enter the room me and my girls are in without knocking first ok" says Cat heading up the stairs
"I would never" says Cally
45 minutes later as Julie arrives with her parents
"did she really just lay down, did she not see me" asks Cally almost crying
"she assumes Ray is here, besides she's depressed, she's been sleeping more and more ever since she left here" says Robert Stoneright as Cally butterfly kisses Julie causing Julie to pull Cally into a cuddle
"I don't understand she usually hates cuddling" says Francine Stoneright as Julie nuzzles Cally
"Cally is my daughter, my decision to mentor children like Julie caused my husband to leave me, he got custody of Cally, fear can do a lot of damage, he's never been good at explaining things, protecting Cally is his top priority, though he has agreed to let her live with me now, the last thing I said to Julie was that her and Cally would be together if God willed it, I don't believe in giving false hope though I might not have given her enough, Ray should have known she might like girls, my family has a track record of being bisexual, at least thirty generations worth of evidence, Cally can feel others feelings, something quite common in my family, my twin sister and my neice, daughter of the late English prime minister has the same thing, Cally is not trained in how to understand it all, she could feel Julie's love towards her without Julie saying anything, she didn't understand what any of it meant, it sent her in a year of self discovery, again something Ray isn't known to understand enough to help her with, if it's not a problem I'd like for Julie to stay here with Cally, at least for a few days, I can tell Julie is already smiling" says Gabbie as Julie giggles
"I saw this coming, whenever they did projects together Julie always came home smiling, she was diagnosed with chronic depression three years ago, Cally was the only person who could get a smile out of her, the past year her depression just kept getting worse, we couldn't get the doctor to raise the dose fast enough to keep it in check, I don't like medicating her but I didn't see another option, we put up five grand to help get you this house does that make it part ours" says Robert
"I see where you're going with this Robert, yes it is part your house, what would you like to do with your share" says Gabbie
"they can kiss but nothing more for a year, I'd like to request they share a room here, Julie can live here part time, say two weeks in two weeks back at our house, Cally is welcome to join Julie any time she's at home at our house, our only concern is Julie's happiness, as long as they follow the guidelines we see no reason to keep them apart" says Robert as Julie sits up
"really dad, you don't have a problem with me loving Cally, or her loving me" asks Julie
"only kissing, no inappropriate touching for at least a year, I don't need the cops knocking down the door because they think we let you have sex, fourteen years old is the minimum age the town allows for exploring sex between two dating minors, we don't need your mom's anxiety to skyrocket" says Robert as Francine nods
"thanks Mom, Dad, I couldn't ask for better parents, I really love her" says Julie as Cally giggles
"I love her too, thank you guys for understanding, my dad would have sent himself to a therapist if he saw her and I kiss, feelings really aren't his conversation forte" says Cally
"love Cally, that's all that matters, unconditional love, that's why we joined the church, Pastor Gabbie has had a good track record helping kids like you and Julie come out of the closet safely, she already helped Julie's older sister several years ago, Andrea has been sunshine ever since, the inclusion Gabbie brings to the church is why we joined to begin with, if she could help Andrea transition into who she was meant to be then she could help Julie, we are like Ray, afraid to ask questions, I have a terrible sense of humor, I was afraid if I'd asked or your mom had asked that it would have come across as mean or insensitive, the last thing we'd wanted is to make Julie think that being gay wasn't accepted at home, we didn't want her to feel unsafe or unloved, that's why we sent her here to Gabbie" says Robert
