Mother and Father had prepared things well in advance for our meeting with the UA instructors.

In acknowledgement of All Might's contribution to society, they had sent out our second limousine to fetch him and Mr. Aizawa, and when they learned the two already had a car, sent the Valet to park it for them. Mother had decorated the parlor where we would greet them with 'A job well done' posters, and had hastily bought a few All Might commemorative plates so that the place looked rather like how I'd imagine Midoriya's bedroom would. Father, suggesting that our Sensei Aizawa had also done a great deal for us, had added in a near equal number of decorations in an attempt to salvage our Sensei's ego, though as I tried to tell him, Mr. Aizawa was the kind of fellow who wasn't interested in publicity.

The best tea set and china, alongside brands of tea I suggested based on our Senseis' personalities, was to be brought in my Uchimura and the maid service, alongside luncheon, cake with a congratulatory signal, and a few presents in a thanking acknowledgement of their hard work. I attempted to observe to mother that "They probably can't spend that long with us, since they have to get to everyone," but she shook her head and simply went on adding more extravagent things.

I was not surprised, therefore, to see Sensei and All Might looking absolutely dumbfounded when they arrived in the parlor, to be greeted by the fanfare of a birthday celebration wrapped with graduation, for a simple conversation. I had learned from my friends that this sort of fare wasn't typically offered for a simple sit down.

"Er, thank you, Yaoyorozu-sama," said All Might awkwardly, trying to smile. Up close, his injuries were even more alarming, his skeletal body form even more strange and hard to recognize as our seven foot, muscle-bound sensei. I could only recognize the black schlera of his eyes, and the ghost of his hair-spikes. His arms were completely bound in braces, the sort I'd never seen anyone in real life wear besides Midoriya...Midoriya...and his posture was hunched, his face emaciated and ghostly. It looked so much worse up close...

Aizawa Sensei mumbled, "You didn't have to do all this." He was still dressed up, his hair combed, clean-shaven, and presentable. It was an alarming contrast to their usual state - All Might was usually the pillar of presentable strength, Aizawa-sensei exhausted and ill-rested. I almost wanted to reassure my parents that they were not quite meeting my actual senseis today.

"Nonsense!" Mother replied to Aizawa-sensei, as the maids wheeled in the tea service. "You two are responsible for rescuing my daughter and her classmates from danger! It is the least we can do to accomodate you on your visit to our home!"

Father nodded. "As a citizen as well, it is our duty to pay tribute to pro heroes for their defense of civil society."

I bowed politely, and a little apologetically. "It's nice to see you, Aizawa-sensei and All Might-sensei." I felt a little apologetic, then, because I recalled what All Might had said to me the last time we had spoken. "That feeling shows that you have what it takes to be a hero." And then I had betrayed that trust, by making that tracker for my friends...All Might must have seen them save BAkugou, so he must know what I did...

He didn't appear to be thinking about that, but it made me feel rather awkward and apologetic all the same.

Once we'd all sat down with tea and lunch, Aizawa sensei got us down to business.

"We're here to ask permission to move your daughter into our student dormitories. Did you get the notification in the mail?"

"Yes, indeed. We have been considering the matter very carefully, from all possible angles," said Father, which was not an exaggeration.

"Yes, and we have decided," said Mother, taking a very deep breath, "To allow it."

They'd told me such last night. Aizawa said, "Very well. There's a great deal of information about the process and what she might need to bring, the schedule and necessary preparations, in this packet."

Father held up a hand. "We are extremely grateful for your help in protecting our daughter. However, while we hope your security measures have been revamped in order to protect the students, there are a few questions we would like you to answer before we give our full consent."

Mother looked a little surprised, and I was frightened almost. What questions?

"Of course, sir," said All Might.

"First, it was made clear on the news that the villains' leader - the fellow you fought," he nodded at All Might, "has been placed under maximum security in the Tartarus prison, and therefore cannot escape to menace society. However, from what we can tell, it seems the other villains involved - the ones that attacked your school in spring - escaped and are still at large. Is that true?"

All Might and Aizawa glanced at each other, then All Might nodded. "Yes. But I can assure you the police are doing everything they can to find the League of Villains and arrest them."

Father said, "How much of a danger are they? Without their leader, I mean."

All Might took a moment, then said, "Less so, I believe. From what I have observed in our encounters, All for One - their leader - was the primary agent in their villainy and power. Without him, they will have far fewer resources and be much more easily dealt with. That isn't to say they aren't dangerous, but they are I believe a group of ordinary villains without him."

I thought about that. I wasn't sure if All Might was simply saying what father needed to hear or not. From Midoriya's injuries, Uraraka and Todoroki's accounts, and what I'd intuited from the events of the night, it seemed unlikely that these villains were no true threat, all on their own...

Aizawa said, "I have encountered them as well. What I can certainly state is that their numbers are few, and their power has been greatly reduced. In the recent skirmish, three of them were apprehended and defeated by students - young Midoriya, Kendo and Tetsutetsu, and Tokoyami. This speaks to the valor of our students, and to the nature of the villains involved."

I felt a small twinge of envy towards Kendo - who was something of an equal of mine - and who had handled the gas villain, I had learned, who took out Jirou and Hagakure. Then, All Might sensei said, "And I can assure you also, sir, ma'am, that without your daughter's presence of mind, we would have had a great deal of difficulty in locating our kidnapped student. The tracker she gave us undoubtedly saved young Bakugou's life," here he looked at me and I went very red, "and I have confidence that in moments of crisis, the sort that a hero must face in their career, if nothing else we can rely on young Yaoyorozu."

I could tell, as he spoke, that it really didn't matter how emaciated or strange our sensei looked. Weakened or not, powerless or not, he was still the Symbol of Peace.

Aizawa sensei nodded and added, "I'd imagine her presence will assure the families of other students, even if we cannot."

Mother and Father were almost in tears by now, and a rather embarrassing scene of flattery and politeness followed. Then, Father finally got around to his second question.

"I have been thinking over the nature of the UA invasions...given the precautions taken to secure the secrecy of the training camp, it seems that the only way the villains could have discovered it was through - insider information. Are you afraid of the possibility of a mole in your school?"

I jumped a little when he said that. Up until then, I had in fact not given much thought to how the villains had found us. Oddly, it had slipped my mind in all the chaos. But father had a point. How could they have found us otherwise?

All Might looked conscious enough for a moment that I knew that must have occurred to them. Aizawa said, "We are aware that is a possibility, and I can assure you we are taking all possible precautions towards that possibility."

"Investigating, then?" asked Mother. "Possibly by moving your students closer to campus?"

Silence fell. All Might broke it.

"I believe fully that all of my students have the hearts of true heroes. I don't believe any one of them would betray the trust of their fellows."

He had a way, of course, of bringing reassurance, even when there wasn't much to assure about. Father raised no more objections, and Mother bid farewell to my teachers. I asked to accompany them to their car.

I had a moment alone with All Might sensei while Mr. Aizawa was trying to convince Uchimura not to drive with them.

"Sensei," I said quietly, "I believe in Kamino...you saw how Bakugou was saved, at last?"

He nodded at me. Frowned a little and I shuddered. "And you must know...how that was achieved?"

Another nod. "Yes."

"I - I wish to -" I stammered. I didn't know what to say - an apology? A thanks? But he clapped me on the shoulder then and smiled - the kind he used to use as the symbol of peace.

"Young Yaoyoruzu," he said, quietly enough that no one else could hear, "What you and your friends did that night was illegal, impulsive, and dangerous, but it was also managed in a way that prevented further violence. While I cannot commend you for it, in good conscience, I will say this alone: There are very few in Class 1A whose judgment I would trust in such a situation, and you are one of them. And I am proud, you know, of what you achieved that night."

I felt my face go very red as All Might sensei turned away and rejoined Mr. Aizawa. They left me there, quite self-conscious, and trying not to show my parents how very proud of myself I felt, in that moment.

The symbol of peace, the number one hero...and now he was no more. In order to protect us, he had sacificed everything he had.

And now, it seemed, it was indeed...our turn.
