Chapter 3: Meeting the 6

Meanwhile in Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle was reading a new title she had bought in Manehatten the week prior: The LGBT Struggle. She rested a hoof comfortably on the armrest of the couch as she read, not noticing Spike had walked in. "Twilight?", he called. Twilight turned a page, her attention focused.

Spike looked around for a way to get Twilight's attention. His eyes noticed a quill next to her, no doubt to take notes. Grinning, he strided over and went to lift it. Twilights eyes snapped down to him. She let out a laugh. "Sorry Spike. This book is too fascinating! What's up?"

Spike simply handed her a scroll, labeled Urgent. Twilight immediately set the book down and opened the scroll. Her eyes widened as she read the following:

Twilight Sparkle,

Please do not be alarmed at the Urgent writing of this. Today Equestria has received a new citizen. He is a human, though not from Pandestria. I am of belief that he would make a good citizen in Ponyville.

If possible, I request you and your friends to come to Canterlot today to meet him. No need to worry- he is kind, and also shares something...intriguing with you.

Twilight stood up from the couch, breathing heavily. "Spike, prepare a room while I'm gone, okay? Ponyville just got a lot more interesting."

Within an hour, the friends were gathered at Surgarcube Corners. Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, looking at an orange wedding band on her left front hoof. "What's going on? Another ceremony?"

She yelped as a hoof connected with the back of her mane. "Even if it is, Surgarcube", Applejack drawled, "It's still an invite."

Twilight held a hoof up. "Long story short, a creature fell by portal into Equestria today. He's bipedal, and me and Pinkie's age. Princess Celestia thinks he would be a good fit in Ponyville."

"Are you sure Darling?", Rarity asked. "After all, Ponyville did not take kindly to Zecora at first."

"But they did eventually!", Pinkie cheered, a rush in her words, as if she was a metal band singer. "I bet he likes parties! Ohhhhh! Maybe the Cakes will hire him!"

"But he's not a citizen, right?", Fluttershy asked. "Not yet", Twilight replied.

The 6 looked at each other. Rainbow smirked. "You know... a certain someone might like him", she teased. Twilight laughed. If only they knew how right Rainbow would be proven to be in time.

With a light of her horn, a bubble surrounded the 6, and off to Canterlot they were.

In the meantime, I had been intrigued. Intrigued by the castle. Its splendor and vast historical rooms. The paintings. It was overwhelming in the best way possible. As me and Celestia turned right into the foyer, heading to the Castle Gardens, she stopped. I wondered why until I saw him.

Prince Blueblood.

He was wearing a black vest, his hair slicked back and neatly combed. He was striding through the foyer but came directly to a stop as he saw us, catching himself from falling in time. He narrowed his eyes.

"Okay Discord. What kind of prank are you pulling on my Auntie this time?", he demanded. Celestia narrowed her eyes. "His name is David. He is a new citizen of Equestria, and you are to treat him with kindness. Unless you wish to be given duties as Shining's assistant?". The horrified look on his face indicated that he did not want that. He cleared his throat.

"My apologies, David. My name is Prince Blueblood, brother of Princess Cadence, and head of the Nobility." I was surprised that he did not say this arrogantly, as much as he did matter of factly. "Is he staying in the castle Auntie?", he asked Celestia.

Celestia could not help but smile. "Ponyville most likely, depending on how Twilight and her friends take to him." Blueblood nodded and excused himself to the lavatory.

"Do you need to rest?", Celestia asked after several minutes. Beads of sweat were pouring down my forehead. Oh, how I detested humidity! I nodded, taking a moment to tie my left shoe.

"Another thing Princess", I said after I straightened up, as much as my overweight frame would. "Does Autism exist here?"

"It does!", Celestia cheered. "My dear student Twilight has a form called Asperger's. Do you have it?"

"I do. Was diagnosed when I was 3. I am not officially diagnosed with Asperger's, but a psychiatrist thought I had it. I do too."

Celestia went to respond, only to stop shortly as a bubble appeared on the ground 6 feet away. The bubble dissipated, and I for the first time saw the Mane 6 all with a varying range of expressions.

Twilight was analytical, looking me up and down. Fluttershy had eeped and looked down at the grass below. Pinkie looked incredibly happy, like she wanted to throw a party. Rarity looked at my clothes, and simply nodded, though she looked disgusted too. Rainbow Dah had her hooves crossed, frowning. And Applejack looked at me intensely.

I broke the silence with a laugh. "Who wants to start the receiving line!", I joked. Twilight smiled and trotted over. "Hello David! I hope your happy in Equestria. My names Twilight Sparkle". She looked confused as I raised an eyebrow, my blue eyes amused. "Princess Twilight Sparkle. I know you hate that title, but you've earned it."

Twilight went to respond, only to be tossed like a football as Pinkie bounded over. With the speed of Sonic, she hopped up and down. "Hiiiiiiii! Names Pinkie Pie! How are you? I hope you like cupcakes!", she said pulling a blue frosted one out of her mane.

"Surgarcube", Applejack interjected as she trotted over. "Ah think your overwhelming him. And dats not a prank, right?", she asked pointedly. "Of course not! David doesn't like surprises or loud noises."

I blinked "She's right. But how. Oh right. It's Pinkie Pie, don't question it."

Pinkie laughed as Rarity trotted over in her elegant way. "Darling, if you don't mind, I would be willing to make you a wardrobe, as your clothes cannot be accessed. Free of charge." Stunned, I mumbled an acceptance of the offer as Rainbow flew over.

"Okay buster. What's your endgame? Magic draining? Turning half of Equestrian life to dust?"

I backed away a bit. "Whoa whoa. I don't plan to hurt anyone!"

"Likely. How do we- ". "Rainbow Dash! Ah love yah, but dats enough!", AJ exclaimed, pulling her wife back. "Ah know ya are weary. But we know better!"

I smiled softly. "She's scared. I understand. Don't worry about it."

I then looked around for Fluttershy. "Where did she go?", I asked. "Fluttershy, I mean."

The ponies cleared to reveal Fluttershy still looking at the ground frowning. Wordless, I walked over. "Fluttershy? What's the matter?"

"Y-you won't hurt us r-right?", she squeaked. I nodded, removing a silver neckless with a cross around my neck, and showing it to Fluttershy. "I'm a pacifist, I wouldn't hurt anyone unless it was to protect my family or friends. Its what my Faith and my God would want. "

Twilights eyes sparkled as she finally stood again. Faith existed where I was from?! She squealed internally, making a note to ask about it later.

Fluttershy nodded as I replaced the cross. I then yelped as Fluttershy was lifted into the arms of him. Discord.

The draquonacris smiled as he saw me. "Oh hello! It is I Discord! The winner of Equestrias most chaotic creature 5 years running. Though I think it was rigged, as that's clearly Twilight."

I blinked again as Discord laughed, getting ready to snap his claw, only to stop as Fluttershy kissed him on the cheek. "He just got here. Don't prank him!"

Discord pouted. "Alright alright. Only because you said please. I'll have future Discord prank him tomorrow."

We then watched as he disappeared for a second, then reappeared, Fluttershy in his arms still. "But I can still prank today!"

Celestia and Twilight narrowed their eyes. "Just what did you do?", Celestia asked.

Discord cackled. "I replaced Mooney's shampoo with Nair", he grinned.

As he said those words, an angry "DISCORDDDDDDDDDD!" rung out of Canterlot Castle as Pinkie and Rainbow laughed hysterically. Fluttershy narrowed her eyes.

I could not help but smile as Twilight came over and stood next to me. My journey in Equestria had begun its Mane journey.
