Ch.4: A Perfect Difference

After around 20 minutes, me and 4 of the Mane 6 boarded a train to Ponyville as the usher greeted me with a smile. No doubt he saw many creatures in his journeys. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had decided to fly back.

I smiled as I sat, moaning a bit. "Heh...this furniture will be interesting to get used to", I smiled, shaking my head.

Twilight looked at me with concern as she sat across from me. "Oh dear. I could enlarge the seat if you wanted."

"No need", I reassured, as the train began to move. "I don't want you to get in trouble. So, who am I living with anyway?"

Twilight beamed as Rarity sat next to me with a half-knitted scarf and knitting supplies. "Me and my. Well...". Twilight frowned. "Do you have an issue with LGBT creatures?"

Immediately, I shook my head no. "Absolutely not. Sadly, where I come from, a lot of people hate LGBT. Its how someone chooses to love, not that they are murdering someone or something."

Rarity sighed. "Sadly, some creatures don't have their heads on straight.", she concluded as Pinkie came over. "Hey David. Soooooo… I just called my bosses. They wanna meet you when we get to Ponyville if that's okay?"

I took a moment and concluded, "Well Pinkie... can it be a bit later? I'll need to unwind once we get there. Plus...I do want to see the castle too. Which reminds me...who do you live with Twilight?"

Twilight smiled softly as a blush reddened her face. "My mare friend Starlight Glimmer", she said. "She's really friendly, but well...". She trailed off.

Sensing Twilight's embarrassment, Rarity spoke. "Every year darling, ponies go through mating cycles in December. There is a possibility Starlight may ask you. To bed her, shall we say."

I went quiet, blushing. "Well, I guess we will cross that bridge when we get to it", I finally said.

After a few minutes, her blush receding, Twilight smiled. "So, you have Asperger's too, eh? What's your interests?"

I gave a big smile. "Well, reading. I also love video games, but I don't think those exist here." Twilight then laughed.

"You are in for a big surprise then. They do. We don't have big Televisions though. 30 inches."

I grew overwhelmed at this information and closed my eyes to process my thoughts. Good. One of my escapes did exist in Equestria. That was a blessing.

Pinkie then spoke. "David, do you ever get...you know. Scared of being in new situations?"

I nodded quietly. "I... I do. I need to be honest- I'm utterly terrified right now, but I'm also coping. I don't want you guys to get mad at me if I'm not always sunshine and rainbows."

Twilight immediately took one of her hooves in my hand. "David, pardon me for asking, but were you ever abused? I can't help but ask."

Rarity frowned. "Twilight, I don't believe that is- "

I waved her off. "Its okay Rarity. I was. What had you figure it out Twilight?"

"A lot of abuse victims feel as if they have to put up a front", Twilight said sadly. "And show a façade."

I then smiled. "I battle those demons on a daily basis, Twilight. They will never fully disappear. But you don't need to worry about me. I'm nervous, yes. But I'm having a great time, and I can't wait to see Ponyville. By the way, how long until we get there?"

Rarity looked up. "About an hour, darling."

Twilight looked me in the eye then. "Just, don't be afraid to talk to me if you need to vent."

"I promise Twilight."

Roughly 55 minutes later, the train came to a stop as we arrived at the Ponyville train station. Twilight smiled widely as Rarity stood onto her hooves. "Stop by my boutique later, David. I will need to measure you."

I went to respond, only to yelp as Pinkie grabbed in a fireman's carry and bounded off the train, despite my protests.

I was then set on my feet. Shaking my head, I then saw Starlight smiling as she trotted over. "Hi David! Welcome to Ponyville!", She said as Applejack got off the train. "Ya will find we are simple folk, Surgarcube. But ya should be fine."

I nodded as Twilight giggled. "Say David. Would you like a pony ride back to the Castle?"

I quickly shook my head no, as Spike walked over.

"I don't blame you. Twilight doesn't look where she's going sometimes", he said.

Twilight raised an eyebrow. The young dragon sweat dropped and decided to lead me to the Castle, as Twilight and Starlight followed behind us.

Rarity giggled as she trotted home. "And that's why I love that Dragon."

Out of all the homes in all the towns in all the world, The Castle is my love. The immaculate rooms, the expansive kitchen, and my room! The bed was so soft, the floor was so warm, and I even had my own bathroom. Yes, Equestria has bathroom with running toilets, to my relief.

After a bit of rest, a knock came on my bedroom door. I walked over to it, only to be greeted by Twilight and a purple coated mare that was only 2 inches shorter than me. "Hi David", Twilight smiled. "This here is Mrs. Cherilee. She teaches at the Ponyville Schoolhouse. Would you like to ask him, Cherilee?"

Cherilee smiled. "So, David, my students have heard about your arrival and wanted to know if you wanted to teach a bit of human culture and history tomorrow afternoon."

I did not think on that question for a second before I answered. "I would love to Cherilee"

Cherilee beamed and went to respond, only to be bowled over as Pinkie zoomed in. "Come-on! The Cakes are waiting to meet you! They baked you a cupcake!", she said excitedly as she zoomed out of the Castle. The dawn had arrived. Ponyville had beckoned me with a smile. If only I knew that things were about to get a lot of fun over the few weeks…

A/N: Hello! So, I decided to bring this back. I hope you guys enjoy!
