Ch.20: Destiny
As Thursday night shone, Sunset smiled softly, deep in thought as the train she was riding back to Ponyville came in its last few moments. She was deep in thought, looking out the window as the beautiful landscape passed by her.
Though I did not know it at the time, she was just as nervous of rejection as I was. She could not give a reason why she liked me so much at the time. That indeed is why the expression "love at first sight" exists.
10 minutes later, Sunset smiled as she saw me sitting on a bench by the train tracks, looking at her. We grinned awkwardly, nodding at each other.
As forest turned to buildings, me and Sunset walked down a sidewalk, having just passed a mysterious Pizzeria that was known for its owners' hijinks.
"So" Sunset began at the same time I went to speak. We gave a light blush.
"Go ahead" I said.
"David" she said softly, using her left hand to wipe some hanging hair out of her face, "I really like you. I have since I met you. I don't give a dam about your Autism or your faith. You are a sweet and awesome guy."
I was floored. Had Sunset prepared this in her head on the train ride? Sunset smiled softly as I turned her to me. 'I have had a hard time falling in love Sunset. I don't know why I did with you, but I can guess. You are compassionate, intelligent, and someone who well knows the expression "Villains are people too"
Me and Sunset got close then. It happened.
We kissed. Our lips encased, we failed to break the kiss for a few minutes, before having to for air. We laughed. No more words were needed.
As we did, we jumped as Discord appeared, wearing a hoofball helmet and holding a cheesecake. "Ah, finally! My plan has come into place."
Sunset and I were incredibly confused. That confusion turned to anger as Discord explained that me falling into the portal and the crack in the statue in Pandestria had been caused by him. He had watched us both for a long time and felt we would make a great couple that would make each other better beings.
Within seconds, Sunset was chasing Discord with a spoon. I watched with a smirk. At least I knew why I was in Equestria and what caused it.
But where would life go now?
We did not know this for a long time, but in Pandestria. The statue was beginning to shatter…
A/N: I never thought I would get here. A dream of mine for 7 years has been to complete a fanfic, and now I have done it! It has been a labor of love, and I hope you all liked it.
It is here where I make the announcement. This story will have not one, but two sequels. It will take a moment before you all see the second story but let's say for now that the statue breaking has world changing consequences.
So, for now, it is not goodbye, but until we meet again. See you all in the future.
