My Equestrian Archives-Angelic Harmony
Ch.3: Reunion
And so, it was. The day of August 4th, 2022, had come. To be truthful, I had selected that day for us to go. It was my sister's 18th birthday. We were about to step through a portal Twilight had created for us. I smiled as I looked upon the house, I had called my home for two years.
"Its pretty!" Cozy smiled, nuzzling onto me as I held her on my shoulders. Sunset smiled. "Could use more yellow" she said in jest. I rolled my eyes as we passed through. Sunset's eyes widened as she took stock of the area. It was rural, though a neighborhood. In the driveway were three vehicles- A 2004 Chevy HHR, A 1995 Dodge Truck, and a 2004 Chevy Lumina. I smiled, slowly falling to the ground and landing with a soft touch, Sunset landing next to me.
My smiled turned to emotion as I silently walked over to the door. Fourteen months. What had changed in the ensuing time?
As I went to knock, the door swung open to greet my mom. Mom said nothing, but burst into tears, hugging me tightly.
"Ami? Are you alright?" Dad asked, before seeing me. He too joined the hug as the dogs- Rocky, Lucky, and Brownie- barked in excitement. Then me and my sister locked eyes as she entered the room. Mom and Dad let go as Lexi flew into my arms, sobbing. I rubbed her back, my wings even giving her comfort.
It had been a long journey. But I was home.
The next 3 hours were a whirlwind. We all spoke about everything and anything. My sister and Sunset got on well, both having an aptitude for science. My parents loved Cozy like their own granddaughter.
It turned out that they had always held on to hope that I was alright. The conversation Princess Celestia had with them was an emotional one, and they were amused by my new form.
"There you go" Mom chuckled at one point. "Now you will always have your hair dyed."
I was then pleased with the news that Lexi had gotten a boyfriend named Daniel. He was a friend of hers from school, and they were going bowling that night. I did not despair at this, instead smiling. My brother Anthony and his girlfriend would be back with Pizza any minute now.
I still recall Mom and Dad sharing a smirk at one point when I mentioned meeting Fausticorn. It would take a long while to find out what the smirk meant. But that would be in November.
After we had eaten and had engaged in Mary Jane with my brother and company, we made the trek downstairs to my room, just me, Sunset, and Cozy. We had made mention that we planned to pick out what we wanted to bring with. I opened the door, smiling widely, and attempting to hold back tears. The room was the exact same. Closet and bed to the right. Bookshelf, gaming chair, lamp, and dresser and entertainment stuff to the left.
Cozy smiled as she flew over to the bed laying on it. If me and Sunset thought she was cute before, the sigh she gave at laying on the bed was heartwarming.
Before long, a knock came, and we saw the smiling face of Twilight. "Hi! I came to offer to bring your stuff back to Equestria." I smiled with a nod, telling her it may take a while.
Of course, Twilight's attention would turn to my T.V, a 32-Inch flatscreen. I smirked. "You wanna bring it to study it?"
If Twilight could have taken that T.V off the wall faster, I would have called her The Flash.
As we left the house at 5 that afternoon, a trip that night ahead of us, I could only laugh at the irony. We all planned for going out that night. Lexi and Daniel were going to Tawas. Mom and Dad to Oscoda. As for me, Sunset, and Cozy…
It was time for me to say hello to Glennie Tavern again.
