Chapter 21 - It all comes down to this

September 13th,

I hoped that the whole fiasco with the thief would get resolved. I planned to find her and apologize, and I'd bring Cyan with me so we could apologize together and return her books. Maybe even give her a peace offering.

And maybe Steven and... Ava? Was that the name? Could work together, since they didn't have many options alone. Then I could stop having to feed them. But... well, they'd probably keep eating my food anyway.

I was still anxious about what could happen if I came to Ava again and tried to return her books. I decided to ask both Cyan and Rin to accompany me, so we'd have numbers on our side and Ava wouldn't get any ideas.

And I needed to focus on my family again, after this loose end was tied up. I couldn't keep letting other people's mistakes pull me away from the people who really mattered. I needed to stop overthinking and stop involving myself for a bit.

But at least... hopefully, returning Ava's property would leave me with an interesting story to tell.

September the 15th, 19 days since the transformation occurred.

I was blushing from embarrassment as I left the house two days later, 19 days after the transformation occurred. I'd made another lame excuse for leaving the house so often, and I felt like my family was only superficially accepting it because they respected my privacy.

At least they were happy when I told them that I had made new friends the day before. I didn't want to go out that day, in all honesty, but I knew that if I put it off I probably wouldn't get another chance. I considered whether I could have asked Cyan to just sneak into Ava's home and put the books back where they had been, though that wouldn't be fair to him, and would defeat the purpose of last time.

I hated that I could only talk to Cyan in person. It made everything so much harder. I wanted to get a phone number or at least a Discord ID. For now, though, all I had was his words from yesterday: "Same time, factory. Be there or be square."

I wanted this all to be over quick. Quick and easy.

Quick and easy.

As I approached the factory I could see Cyan near the 'front' door, which was still boarded up with two-by-fours. The Sylveon had the notebooks in his feelers, and I found myself smiling as he called out: "Heyyyy, Jack!"

"Hey."

"I got the books, both right here," Cyan said. "Now, should we go for the simple route, like just checking if she's there and replacing them? Or should we try for some conversation? I... don't know about conversation, really. Could be a bit scary."

"Yeah," I agreed. "And we didn't exactly bring a peace offering. I sorta forgot. Should have at least thought to pack her a breakfast." If I hadn't been trying to figure out how to sell my folks on why I needed to be out all day again.

"Then how can we apologize?" Cyan asked.

I have an idea! "Let's just write a letter to give to her. We'll write out what happened, put the books back in their places, and we'll be all set even if we don't see her."

"Sounds good," Cyan replied. "Could save our tails if we're confronted and have to run for it, too. Just... avoid any conversation or eye contact with these... water idiots in the factory, okay?"

"Noted."

We let ourselves in through the factory's side door. As soon as we were in, Cyan yelled loudly enough that I jumped straight-legged into the air: "YO, DOES ANYONE HAVE A PIECE OF PAPER?"

A moment later, a paper airplane descended from an upper level and stuck in Cyan's ear. "Thanks!" He called out to whoever had thrown it. "Now we just need a pen..."

"No, don't yell, you idiot. Let's just ask," I told him

"I wasn't going to," He continued.

"I wouldn't particularly enjoy a pencil being thrown at me."

"Fair enough I guess."

"Let's just loot a closet or something, there has to be a pencil in there." I suggested.

"Jorden pretty much took all the chalk and writing material and such for his special board of sorts and placed it in a storage space of a desk"

"though he doesn't mind people taking shit honestly just don't take all the chalk."

"Problem solved then."

Cyan led me to said desk and we rummaged through it, there was an old wooden pencil with no eraser within the pile of pretty much crap

"Oh god we should've just taken a pencil from home."

"Ay if it works, it works." Cyan said unfolding the paper airplane so we can write on it

"Heh, Some idiots were passing notes by throwing these things around."

"What does it say?" I asked.

"'Why does my poop smell like strawberries"

"God damn it. Cross that shit out and write on the backside."

"What should we write specifically on it?"

"I dunno, Uhhh…maybe…we gotta write it so she doesn't want to kick our asses as well."

I began to recite a possible letter "This is a note from Cyan and Jack, we apologize for taking your personal notebooks, we have not revealed any of the contents inside and they are unharmed—

"Slow down abit, I'm trying to write what you're saying" Cyan said using one of his feelers to write

"'…We only wanted to learn about your situation and for the thill of exploration, we do not wish to be involved in this drama. If you need assistance such as food and such, we will try our best to help. And We hope you understand…?'"

"…Sounds good. Hopefully it will get us out of any possible trouble…just give me a moment to finish this."

"Alright! Sounds good, now all we need to do is drop off the book and letter."

"Though, this is important. What should we do if we see her? She will probably get mad, and plus she doesn't know us at all." Cyan asked.

"If she gets aggressive, drop the books and run. She will probably focus more on the books than us in the current moment"

"But we have to be civil about this, like, there needs to be communication, we just treat her like she's a creature that will kill us. Though we have nothing to really give her other than the books and a promise of food that she probably isn't going to trust."

"Hello Moonbutt and Toothpaste. Whatta doin?" I heard Rin say

"Yo, I got like, a bag of Cool Ranch Dorito chips from the station. The Sylveon there was still pretty chill, got a chat in with him. I told you Jack that it's a good place for snacks."

"Did you just call me…Toothpaste?" Cyan said

"Perfect! Well uh, we really need that bag." I said

"Huh?"

"Yeah, Me and Cyan here can be in possibly deep shit if we don't have it."

"We need it to show a case of trust with the thief if we see her, whose name is Ava. Come on, I know you like adventure, we just need to drop off its personal diaries off at its shelter along with the apology letter we made for her.

"But I got it with my own allowance though," Rin said.

"If nothing happens and everything goes smoothly you can have it back, I'll even give you the money back if you really want it. Actually we could need you as well so the thief doesn't get any funny ideas. Power in numbers, It'll be quick and easy. I'm sure of it"

"…but Jack if Rin comes with us, we would probably be more noticeable if we try to sneak." Cyan asked

"Yeah but we have the food that can tide her over, and plus didn't you just say we should try communication?"

"Fair point I suppose."

"No, no. Youdon't need to pay me at all, this was literally 2 Dollars. It's all good." Rin said. "I'll be happy to come along! Maybe after the whole little thing you two are doing we could have some fun!"

"Yeah…Yeah sure!" I said.

"So we just drop off the books if she isn't there, and if we see her, we try to chat and if she doesn't want to, just drop off the bag and books?"

"Yep! And we are home free!"

"Alright then. Let's move and be quick."

"This won't be dangerous…correct? Right guys?" Rin asked.

"We'll be Safe, Rin. We are together." Cyan said "We will show you all the neat stuff on the way to the place in question! Let's not get too negative guys, let's be positive!"

"Okey-dokey." Rin responded with now a cheeky smile "I got some small battle experience if things go rough, hehe."

With all the items we needed in paw, we left. I particularly hoped that this would go well, or were we simply asking for more trouble? I shouldn't be too concerned, no. I shouldn't.

We went out on the same path we did before with Charlie. Though I've noticed that the grass has now been quite trampled, and leaves brushed if the path was now being used more often by possibly others.

"I've always wondered," Rin said.

"What's it like being a shiny?"

"Being a shiny?" Cyan responded. "I get that question all the time. Nonstop, it's like an imaginary sign saying 'yo talk to me' or like 'my only personality trait is my special color'"

"Oh, I'm sorry for asking then"

"No, no. ask away for anything, being a shiny is pretty much nothing different than the average Mon', you just have a different color. No special abilities or anything"

"Heh. Well I knew that, I'm sure we all have had to do some research on Pokémon." She responded

"Like, I learned that I can potentially learn the ability to become water…acid armour it's called."

"Oh…are you sure it's even safe?" I asked.

"No clue!"

"It's not like I know how to do it now"

"Thank goodness, because I don't wish to see that." Cyan said

"Other than the Special color and generally seeing you around, I haven't really formally met you. Though I know you're a friend of Jack here. He's actually told me about you a couple of times before," Rin said.

"Ah, ah. Yeah…I slept in his treehouse once."

"Yeah, I remember the first time I met Jack he told me that. So I guess you're the one who introduced him to all this?"

"Pretty much, Yeah…Thank goodness for sucking ass at the time." Cyan said.

"So, what has been the craziest thing you have all done so far?" Cyan continued.

"Ohh-ho-ho. Not really a thing, but one time when I went out in the night I saw a boat parked in someone's backyard. Old as shit. I hopped in and since I couldn't see that well somehow made it honk and got the hell out of there."

"Right…" I try to think back at what I've seen in the night, more importantly. When I was doing my moon things.

"Have you ever seen a few Military whatever vehicles about? I saw a couple of 'em, they're parked in a street from far away." I remarked to them

Rin stopped and turned around to face Cyan, who stopped as well.

"Yeah, I've seen them. Only like two vehicles, though most of them are in the city keeping order, I think it's the National guard, this town is not really on their radar at the moment." I continued

"In fact I don't even know they're still even here. Did they actually have people in them in the first place?"

"Yah!…Yeah!" Rin said "They don't do much at all. Not at all!"

"Well, that's a good thing, I guess. Don't really know how to respond to that," I said.

"Did you see anything else, anything else at all?" Rin asked me.

"No, I didn't," I responded.

"Yeah, just stay clear of any if you do see them. Please."

"Why, did they do anything strange?" Cyan asked.

"What? No, I just, I don't want any of them to think we're doing bad shit."

"But we're not, there's no reason to worry." Cyan said. "We have our own things to worry about with the notebooks and all that. Don't add that to your mental plate."

"Well, we didn't have to bring It up," Rin said.

"Look I just want this all to be over with, can we please just get this thing done and then talk on that later? Because I would rather be cool and collected for this shit than being self conscious when I go outside"

"Yeah sure, but like, I haven't really seen any in the first place. I mean Jack have you seen any?" Cyan continued.

"I only saw them like once as I said before, I…hmm, I don't remember where they were exactly. But that was like the only time, and maybe one other time when I was out."

"We are not looking for them." Rin said "but even more importantly, Cyan, do you truly know where are even going? I've never been over there."

"Yeah, Jack and I know the area quite well, we've been over there a couple of times. Don't worry you're in safe paws." Cyan said

"I swear to god if something horrible happens," Rin exclaimed.

"Jeez, nothing is going to go wrong." I said, "I thought we had you on board?"

"…"

"Look, if you are seriously that scared of them. We'll be in a forest, no one will see us or find us, nice, quiet, peaceful and hidden. The only possible one is Ava, who is the person we may meet," I continued.

"Just like how we were in the forest a couple of days ago, no one will try to hurt us or real ill-will. It's a safe spot."

"Please, don't get scared. I'll even make sure nothing will happen to you," I said to Rin.

"Really?"

"I promise, things will be alright. I don't like it when I see you so distraught like this."

"Thanks, Jack." Rin said, looking better and actually quite calmer, I actually feel a lot more relaxed as well

"You're welcome." I smile a bit "Heh, any time."

"Heh, looks like you did quite a difference, Jack." Cyan said with small laughter

"Huh?" I looked back at Cyan

"Sorry, Sylveon thing…I think."

"Also, I smell something…strange, don't you guys also smell it? Maybe I'm just being dumb?" I also asked. "...Why do I smell Hamburger Helper?"

"I dunno," Rin responded

"Also, a Sylveon thing," Cyan said

"Oh, neat. What is it, your version of my poison sweat, but I guess something…not as annoying?"

We had exited the shortcut, and soon had taken a left, walking down the side of the road on the grass

"It's an Aura, it comes out of my Feelers at times, mainly whenever I sense there is conflict or enmity. You…might've smelt it. It's a calming thing, relaxes you."

"Oh so you can like, calm people?"

"I've only done it naturally a couple times." Cyan said "it's also a tool as well as I read from one of the Pokédex entries, it 'weakens hostility in its prey, causing them to let down their guard. Then it attacks.' It has multiple uses."

'Not only does he basically has arms he can fricken calm people? Damn…'

"Ewwww, gross," Rin said.

"Hey, it worked at least!" Cyan said, laughing.

"I also can read the feelings of Elementals and Humans by wrapping one of my Feelers around them, like maybe an arm or paw. It has really helped me, it really allows me to more closely have a continuous bond with the People around me."

"Man…I wish I had that," I said.

"Heh, I don't care about any-o bows on me. Hell, maybe I'll even say it's a 'bowtie' though that doesn't really explain for the Bow on my ear, But eitherway it's way too petty to be concerned about it."

"Yeah, even if I don't have something like that…I could've transformed into like…a fish! Or something like that…" I said

"…Or something that fricking explodes if it's gets mad." Rin said "that'll be a horrible existence. What's that called again?"

"Electrode, I think" Cyan said "happy I don't need to worry about anyone of them being near here."

"Aren't you two sorta sick of pretty much everyone just being a fricken Eeveelution? There's literally zero biodiversity. It's just the same thing! Over and over and over…" Rin said.

"I don't really find it all irritating." Cyan said "I just don't really care, though it doesn't make sense though. Why did this particular area all have the same Sorta species? What was the reasoning?"

"You're asking the wrong person here, heh" I said "Yeah, the only other thing I've seen was Jorden, and he's a furret. Maybe things aren't that bad in terms of how much of them are about?"

"I'm just disappointed that I can't…well really experience the whole package of everyone, Uhh, that sounds really selfish. I probably shouldn't have said that," Rin said.

"It's fine."

"At the same time, we are Pokémon, so all reason has been thrown out the window at this point," Cyan exclaimed.

We were past the Supermarket, and we waited by the side of the road until it was safe to cross, a good moment arose and we crossed it without any issues

"Human logic is almost pretty much out the window at the same time as well now," Rin said

"Ah Yes, the infamous 'human bad' talk," Cyan said."I don't want to talk about it, I'm really tired of people just mindlessly bashing humanity over problems that aren't a lot of people's faults."

"Yeah, but I'm not talking about all of them. I'm saying a majority. Come on, you have seen it yourself. Elementals and Humans can't really get along well, and humans don't and can never understand the experience and pain of all this. They're blind."

"Blind? Are they only blind because it is you, the being, who keeps them blind?" Cyan continued. "Humanity has its faults, and they can't understand all of our thoughts and feelings, but we only make it worse by normalizing such…disrespectful speech of the same people we were just the same as a couple of weeks ago."

"Cyan, things have changed," I said. "The world changed, people changed, figuratively and physically. Humanity will only see evil and harm in us, either that or little fluffy cutesy animals. We all have to work together as one kind, to persevere over all of that. Though sadly… things will never change."

"I don't think we can even do that. A lot of people are set in their ways, they will never change."

"But Cyan you are correct. Days ago I realized that I am lucky to have my family, and I want to be their son again like how I was."

"Ugh, I'm too indecisive...I know that Humanity and Elementals are hard to keep together, and can be extreme assholes and hatred towards each other. I know that Humanity has difficulty understanding us, and hell, has anyone else truly thought about powers? And our insane abilities for pain and destruction? I sure have, and I think even since that fire in New York more have as well"

"Though, we can't just generalize people, humans and elementals. Though that may change in the future…I see a war possibly happening, I think you two share the same sentiment. but we still need to love each other!

"…But then I think, love is nothing, love doesn't fix shit a lot of the time. It's all Disney, love this, love that."

"Jack that's horrible to say, really," Cyan said.

"Like, everything I've been saying only works if others can do it. And can we really trust others to really do it? We might even be saints towards every human somehow and one person goes out and does crazy shit and murders tons and it's all shattered," I said.

"We don't need to apply ourselves to human norms and society anymore. We don't need to feel pressured by them," Rin said. "We are independent, free. We live life as we want. I don't associate as a human, Jack doesn't. Do you?"

"Yeah, I don't. I just hope what I said doesn't fly over both of your heads," Cyan said. "I mean, you understand what I'm saying, right?"

"Oh we understand, it's just that having such high standards for average people is unrealistic," Rin said.

We start to walk up a short ramp, that would take us up to the dyke that overlooks the river. Then if we continue up the paved path, go past the boat launcher and continue onwards through the large grass fields (which are even larger to me now because of my size) we will end up under the highway right again.

"Here, Rin, just… please take a look at all this," Cyan said pointing his feelers into the distance.

"Isn't it a great view? Have you ever sledded here?" He continued.

"I have never been much of a sledder."

"Man, I don't know if I'm insane or not, but look at this damn valley! It's such a wonder to me to look around…and see the Mountains surrounding us! It makes me awestruck!" I said.

"I mean, if we move down this hill…oh, damn I don't wanna accidentally roll down that. We have a giant field! I would love to run though it possibly sometime…I would rather have my tail be on grass rather than Asphalt or Concrete all the time."

"I wouldn't suggest doing it now, it's all sunny." I said

"And I don't really like the sun. I would much rather have a nice, cloudy day! Rather than blue."

"Why so?" Cyan asked.

"Well, uh…I don't get sun in my eyes and everything is not painfully bright, everything's a lot cooler out. The aesthetic. Mainly the point that it's not that hot out, ugh…I just don't like the heat of being in the sun. I like shade much better."

"What, is it because now you're an Umbreon that you like being in the sunlight all the time? You know, your black fur traps sunlight," Cyan said.

"I dunno, even before this I would've rathered a cloudy day. Speaking of which, let's get moving under the highway and beyond. I don't wanna stand in the open sun this long, I'll probably start to get thirsty. And I don't want that."

"You still got the bag of chips?" I asked Rin.

"It's been a pain, but yes."

"Nice, okay so we are pretty much good. We also have the notebooks and the note as well! Your ribbons really come in handy, Cyan!"

"Heh, thanks."

We then went under the highway, And Rin was slightly afraid of all the rumbling from above. She also asked a lot of questions about where we were going, and if we were going to get lost. Which of course I told her no we weren't as it was hard to get lost unless you did something stupid, which we weren't. But that's up for debate I guess.

Cyan explained to Rin in more detail about the River Shack people, what they did and all that. He was excited to show someone around as if he was a tour guide or something. We ended up showing her the former shack. We walked up to its still ruined state, almost identical to how it was a couple of days prior though the area was cleaned up a bit.

"Damn, is there anything to salvage from this piece of scrap?" Rin stated and started poking around in the Scrap.

"Eh, if you find something neat I guess you can take it. All the good stuff is taken already though."

"Jack, the last time we took something it didn't go that well," Cyan said.

"Oh well Cyan, let's see here," I said looking around in it and bringing up a box with my mouth "You got, wow! A moist, falling apart cardboard box! Totally priceless I swear. The dampness adds to the value." I said mockingly then threw it to the side, because if he was that worried over some garbage being looked at, then we shouldn't have walked by this ruin in the first place.

"This is like a garage sale but they're doing it to clean out the house and there is not even a hope that it's antique," Rin said then peeking under a slate then looking back at us.

"Yeah I don't even want anything, and there's not even really anything to even think of taking, plus if there was anything in the first place I wouldn't be able to really carry it," She continued, coming towards us again.

"I actually sorta wish that this turned out well for them, it seemed like they had lots of passion. I wish I knew about all this much sooner. Totally would've loved it."

"Plus it would've been a battle gym of sorts, how cool would that be!"

"Yeah and I would also like to bring up the fact that I'm 80% sure that shack wouldn't have survived a misfire." Cyan stated "It was Injury waiting to happen"

"Ahh, lighten up a bit. Have some fun or whatev'," Rin said.

"Have some fun? I mean, you were the one 10 minutes or so ago who worried about the national guard dudes from like a couple of days ago when they haven't done anything, let alone even have really been seen," Cyan said.

"Hey, I don't wanna bring that up again capiche?"

"Alright, I guess."

"Good," Rin said. "So just to make sure, Ava's the name of the Elemental we are going to meet?" Rin said, obviously waiting for us to get moving towards the location.

"Don't wanna Frick it up for you two."

"Yep you're all good, and also make sure to try to be really down to earth with her," I said. "She might not even be in there, and I really don't want to wait there awkwardly."

"So at that point we just sorta dip?" Cyan said, while we started to move on from the spot and onto the trail that we followed last time.

"Yeah, but I digress, we can wait like 5 minutes but not like a half an hour. That's way too long."

"Should we try to be quiet?" Cyan brought to our attention. "I mean I know we are not close but I'm starting to get a nervous feeling in my stomach over all this. God I'm such a hypocrite."

"Cyan, your not a Hypocrite. Let's just get in and out. We really don't stick to our plans that well once we get them in action Huh?" I said

"Yeah…your Right. Let's just be open to her, be friendly, be courteous, be prepared." Cyan continued "We have an obligation to return these books and we have to fulfill it."

"Just…Jack?"

"Yeah?"

"If she's not there, let's just drop off the stuff with the food and leave as soon as possible."

We followed the same route from a couple of days prior, And showed the strange mud formations on the way there to Rin, who thought they were pretty neat along with some burnt looking sticks she also found about which seem pretty recent. She also stated with enthusiasm that was awesome how far out we are currently, and wondered what if we continued in a single direction for awhile what would we find. Perhaps for another time. Though that enthusiasm would soon dissipate when Cyan told her we were near as we started to get into a more grassy shaded area

Cyan relayed to us and recited the plan from before to be friendly and that perhaps this time we don't need to sneak around as much.

"Well, here, how about we just go in 'guns blazing?'" I brought up

We just go in, I may be crazy, but yell for its attention to see if it's around that we are here to chat. If we act we are chill, and this is no big deal to us. Then this will go much better than previously thought"

"Huh, and since we have 3 people! We can convey much more meaning and importance and intimidation" Cyan said, putting one of his feelers on his chin in a thinking position

"Yep, we just gotta be real with her."

"I sorta understand" Rin said "but it seems like you two are smart enough for this shit so I'll just follow along."

"Awesome, great, see? Everything's just fitting into place!" I said "stay together mostly, and…we'll figure it out on our own."

We start to wander into the park, and Cyan gets closer to me

"Wow, neat place!" Rin said running directly to a ramp

"N-No wait!" I saw Cyan try to hold her back with his Ribbons but wasn't fast enoughand she ended up going anyways

"look at all these cool looking things here!" Rin stated "Man if only I could ride a bike still, though, why make these ramps so far out? I wouldn't want to carry one all out here."

"Well, I guess you could ride all the way here." She continued now looking back at us

"Asking the real questions here huh? But Yeah."

I look around at our surroundings, looking even for the smallest amount of movement or sound. Nothing. Looking at the bushes, the trees.

"…seems like no one is here?" I said

"eh." Cyan responded with a shrug with two of his feelers

"Just keep an eye on the bushes or trees."

"Anyways, um…should I try to announce our presence?" I asked

"…Sure, then we drop the stuff off and get out of here. Oh god this nervousness is killing me."

I cleared my throat, and proceeded.

"YO, WE GOT THE DAMN BOOKS BACK FOR YA. WE BROUGHT FOOD AS WELL. ANYONE NEAR?"

"…"

"…"

"Nice yell Jack lmao." Rin said

Cyan looked around from our current spot and I did the same, I was actually hoping someone would actually respond, because I rather know someone is here than not knowing. Yaknow what I mean?

"…Eerie." Cyan said

"Maybe she left and went somewhere else? Maybe we will get a clue at her hideout?"

"Yeah, possibly. Rin, stay close."

"Hey, I'm not some sort of dog to be commanded around here. I brought the food here in the first place." Rin said showing the food, and she put the bag in her mouth

"Yeah but I don't want you to go off course and get hurt." I said as we moved to the location of the hideout and push aside some of the bushy brush. It's allot easier to move around without needing to sneak

"Hello? Anyone home!" I said trying to get the attention of anyone nearby as I then soon entered the shelter

"Get hurt by what? Though?" Rin said right behind me, still outside of the shelter as I turned around to face her, I saw her expression change from that up from intrigue to shock.

"J-Jack. There's something there. Don't move."

I look past the shelter, and I see a lone Umbreon farther out. It seems to have seen us as well, it looks…janky?

I move to the right, out of the shelter. Inorder to communicate with Her.

"Oh, great. we found her." I heard Cyan say,

"Ava! Sorry to come on in here invited, My name is Jack, right Here is Rin and so is Cyan."

"We have the books right here for you!" I said as Cyan lifted up the books

Ava, doesn't respond and gets closer

"U—Uh. She doesn't seem up for conversation." Rin said

"No-No, she will chat. She will, Maybe she doesn't hear us well enough." I said

"Hello? Ava?" Cyan said "We're terribly sorry about everything regarding the books, we're here to help you actually. We brought some food as well."

"Ava?" I said

"Hello? You in back there?" Rin asked "what the hell is going on here guys, it's like she doesn't even hear us."

"She'sshe looks completely out of we even Approach?" I asked

"We need to get the hell out of here. She looks like a freaking wild animal or some shit." Cyan suggested "I'm not going to die here"

"Cyan, relax your not going to die. There's still a lot space between us."

I hear almost immediately, Running! I hear running!

I look back at Ava, she's already more than halfway towards us!

"Shit shit shit shit!" I muttered to myself as I was walked backwards not knowing what to do

"HEY, BACK OFF! WE ARE PEACEFUL HERE!"Cyan yelled out, but it did nothing as Ava charged directly at us!

I dodged into the shelter to move out of the way, as I look back I see an Umbreon run past and it jumps with a hideous screech, latching onto Rin, pushing them through the Bush

"RAAAAARH!"

"A-AAH, GET IT-GET IT OFFFFFF! GET IT OFF ME! G-GET IT OFF" I heard Rin on the ground panicked screams as I see her being mauled, I could only watch in horror

"Get the fuck off of her!" Cyan grabs Ava with his feelers and throws her off onto the ground hard inwhich she swiftly got back up bit onto one of Cyans feelers. "OW, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!." Cyan wraps his other 3 feelers to seemingly subdue her, wrapping them on her head and another on her muzzle after freeing the feeler from it, as he then goes into a choke position with Yet another.

"JACK, HELP ME THIS WITH FOR PITIES SAKE"

Ava, bites, then yanks and freshly tears off one of Cyans Feeler's, the one holding her muzzle.

"GAH! YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT!" As he's to further choke her out, lifting her up higher.

I quickly get out of the Shelter, running up to Cyan and Ava, I Don't know what to do! WHAT THE HELL DO I EVEN POSSIBLY DO?!

'I…this Cant be. I just can't let myself do this...and fail everyone by doing nothing, I'm not that kind of person. I'm not a failure! I won't let myself be one! I'm strong!'

Ava kicks and pushes off of Cyan's face, knocking him backward. I feel like I need to vomit…my mouth feels…funky.

'...i cant make things worse than what they already are, right?'

"LET US BE! STOP IT!" I growled out

"I WON'T LET YOU DO THIS! NOT ANYMORE…NOT NOW!…raaaaaa…" Multiple dark like particles begin to form infront of my mouth, congregating…growing…I want it to grow MORE!

Ava then tries to do a yet another follow up jumping attack with Cyan now on the ground

The particles, now forming a massive floating cluster levitating closely infront of my muzzle. formate to a resemblance of a ball

"HIIIIII—YA!" I put my whole head into it, i throw it like a frisbee. It lands and hits Ava, knocking her completely off course to the side, creating a small dust cloud on where she dragged along the dirt, stoping her was a small dirt ramp

'The thrill. Oh boy, This thrill is within me, or is it anger? No matter what crap it is.'

'I want to kick ass so hard.'

"BRING IT ONNNNNN YOU SHIT!" I then Laughed hysterically "I AM GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS"

Cyan laughed at my apparent little war cry, and said now getting up "Thanks for covering me man, that was awesome."

While currently breathing heavily, I noticed Cyans Feeler"...Holy shit man, your feeler!"

Cyan slowly lifts it up, it's a bloody mess, it been chewed like a dog's chew toy

"I-It'll heal. Its okay. I have 3 others still in action."

She then gets back up, she doesn't even look fazed! What the absolute hell!

"We can't leave, Rin is still there." Cyan continued, we need to get her out of here. He then scoffs, Cyan then said now picking up a pole "It's nice having these things."

Ava's rings flickered…then suddenly let off an immense amount of light! I can hear her movement! Wait, I can actually see through it somewhat?

"She's right the

flooshWHALUM!!

Mid-Jump a fireball hits her right smack dab in her center, sending her flying back to the ground on her side. As my eyes adjust to the Flash wearing off.

"Steven!" I exclaimed "holy shit, you're back!"

"You…you just saved our asses!"

Steven walks closer to Ava, ignoring our revelation, his growling ever so increasingly prominent

"Um, Steven?"

He looks back at me, though surprisingly only two words come out, and their just simple words…what happened to the emotion in his voice?

"Protect."

Ava, gets up. Then screeches out a howl.

"Leave." He continued

I was dumbfounded, what was he doing? Why is not he talking fully? Why is he seemingly acting so much like Ava?

"Steven, what's up with you? Is everything okay?" Cyan asked

"Please, Steven! You're being insane!" I said

"Leave. Protect Pack!" Steven yelled, as he shot another fireball at Ava who dodged, who is also preparing for an attack of her own!

"Jack, we gotta get out of here!" Cyan said walking backward putting his feeler on me "We can't argue with him" he threw pole to the aide, and grabbed my front leg yet again to move it "Look we take advantage while we can, Steven looks like he has this, I have no idea what's up with him though!"

We scurry over to where the bush, and we see that Rin is out of the Bush on the ground and is crying hard and to struggling to stand currently. as I can see currently see she is quite wounded from the red blood on her blue body. But I haven't seen the true injuries yet

"Rin, holy shit." Cyan exclaimed

"…please, help me. Oh goodness gracious…god damn it…"

"I-I don't wanna fall, I don't want to get more dirt in it. I just…just let me stand here for a moment."

I looked closely, and I see that her entire underside is all mauled and clawed up to hell, I see blood dripping to the ground.

"Jesus Christ Jack what do we do." Cyan said

"I…I don't know! We just gotta get her outta here."

"I should've moved, I should've moved. How the hell was I to know she would be such a brute…" Rin whimpered

I look around frantically for anything…no, leaves would be stupid to use!

"Jack! There gotta be something in here!" Cyan said as he ran over to her Tarp, I drop what I was doing and we search the place for anything we could find

"God damn it, there's not even clothing! There's a fleece blanket but how we would we truly use that?" I said

"We could wrap it around her obviously."

"it would sting as hell for abit though. It's the only thing we got other than the tarp. But cutting it and putting it on would be worse and take way longer."

Cyan picks up the Blanket, and then I eye his bloody chewed off feeler again

"I'm fine." He said "let's just get this on."

We head back over to Rin, as we hear an explosion that shakes the ground as I feel dirt hit me

"Rin I am so so so so sorry, we brought you into this shit. This shouldn't have happened, we should've just left sooner."

"Not your fault, not your fault, not your fault." Rin said continuously "I'm fine…I'll be fine o-okay? I-I can move I'm just being a wimp."

"Rin, do you have any strength for some water?"

Rin nodded and she prepared to put some water on the Blanket for us to possibly clean her apart. But she ends up just puking all over the ground as I shutter even more at the sight of it. luckily Cyan moved most of the Blanket out of the way in time.

"Rin I'm going to wrap this around you, this is all we have…please know I have no real medical practice or experience whatsoever. This may string abit."

Cyan slides the Blanket under Rin, lifts it up and begins to wrap it around, then creating a small tuck in on her backside for it to have less of a chance of loosening

"Sssssssss…" Rin hissed as it was being done

"Here, let me help you try to get moving" Cyan said assisting Rin, helping her take a few steps forward

"Shhh, its all going okay." He tried comfort her

"Don't baby me!" Rin said though her whimpers

"O-oh, Okay"

"Jack, Steven situation?" Cyan turned his head to me and asked

"Uhhh."

I run on over to the bush, making sure no one was near it. Put my face through the pokey branches which was probably not the smartest thing I could've done and though I went

I looked around, and I wasn't able to spot them. I still hear the sounds of two wild dogs fighting though.

"Don't have a view on them, might've moved on from this area probably."

"Great, We can move without fear, and fast. Cyan said

"…how the hell am I going to explain all this…" Rin said "fell down a cliff…?" Rin said, moving better than before and now with Cyans assistance

"It Doesn't matter now, let's get to a better spot, nice and steady now Alright?"

Rin moved slowly, but overtime began to walk faster and better. I think the Blanket was a great idea, given what we have

We went around the whole area with the Bush, and we moved around the outskirts of the park to get back onto the trail

"I'll be okay…I'll be fine." Rin said, then started to cry some more "l-look! I'm moving fine!…god-shit-frick-crap this hurts so much."

"We can stop Rin" I said "please, we basically did this to you."

"No. You didn't. Shut up. We don't need to stop, I don't want to stop moving." Rin continued to waddle on slowly

"…We really need to clean you up more, maybe with some water, but can we even do it?" Cyan asked "Should we do it?"

"No, p-please don't take it off. It's fine, I'm sorry I puked"

"It's okay, it's okay…please." Cyan said to Rin

"We just need to get her to somewhere. W-We need to call 911 when we are out of here. If it even works, or take her to the ER! But that is already packed to shit due to all these Elemental injuries!"

"This is miserable…" I said

"Not only Rin is hurt, but Steven is crazy as hell! I don't care if it's 'Admirable' or whatever the shit he's trying to pull. He's still fighting that thing, alone!"

"But You still did that Shadowball though! Um-Uhh…hey that's something to be proud about!" Cyan told me

"I'll be okay, really…I will. It was only directly on me for a couple of seconds…"

"Oohh, God damn it. Cyan you literally ripped her claws out of me…"

"Shit…" Cyan put one of his feelers on his head, possibly in astoundment

"Please I don't want to m-make" Rin started to cry some more "make it even worse than it-it is already!"

"I thought…I thought she was going to be civil this whole time! She was so fast, she didn't even seem to any reason in her eyes! She could've j-just talked! She was an animal!"

"An actual animal!"

4:33 PM, EST.
MSNBC.

Just fifteen minutes ago, in northeastern Pennsylvania, National Guard units responded to an incident involving uncontrolled elemental violence. A Fire-type elemental allegedly murdered a local police officer who was responding to a report of elemental-on-elemental violence. The Fire-type Elemental was euthanized at the scene by National Guard forces, and another was arrested.

Our live helicopter footage shows National Guard forces securing the scene. Medical personnel are also on site to provide treatment for any humans who may have been injured.

A statement from the police department indicates that the police officer who first arrived at the scene followed Human-Elemental contact procedures, staying in the safety of his vehicle and attempting to communicate via loudspeaker. Police scanner recordings indicate that the officer observed a Flareon circling a badly-injured Umbreon, and suddenly called for backup. Contact with the officer was then lost. When backup arrived, they found a gruesome scene.

The bodycam and squad footage are too disturbing for us to show on TV: The recordings show a Flareon, covered in human blood, standing over the tattered remains of his victim. The officer, who had served his community for 11 years up until this very night, had first attempted to subdue the Flareon with a taser, then fired two shots.

The Flareon also attacked the next police officers to arrive at the scene, who were forced to call upon the National Guard to assist them. In total, it took seven more bullets to stop the berserk elemental, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The elemental's victim leaves behind a wife and three children, whom the city has promised to care for as they attempt to heal the wounds that this terrible night has left in the community.

The injured Umbreon at the scene was nearly as violent as the Flareon, but was taken alive into custody by the National Guard, presumably for medical treatment. In the meantime, we can only imagine that our viewers must be asking: "Could this happen to any of us? Could my elemental friends or loved ones lose their minds at any moment? Will it be my blood covering an Elemental's claws and fangs?"

The crime scene is still under the care of the National Guard. We are waiting outside for permission to enter, and will keep you updated as we learn more.

Senate Emergency Special Session: November 22nd.

A Female Reporter is holding an Umbrella with rain pouring currently, with the Capitol building behind her as she speaks, we see a feed of Senate plurality leader McConnel paceing the floor while other senators are sitting and standing in the now much more open senate with the multiple missing senators

"We have been informed that because of the loss of many senators and because of the chaos in so many states, replacement senators have not been found. The current makeup of the senate is now at 43 Republicans and 25 Democrats. Most legislation that has come through has been able to pass with enough bi-partisan support. And yet there is one issue that has been coming up and that both leaders have been trying to keep down. The current whereabouts of most senators who transformed are known but the conditions of senators Romney of Utah and Sanders of Vermont are still unknown. It is believed that they were transformed but this can not be confirmed or denied."

A Clip is shown from within the Senate after the Reporter had finished

"Thank you Mr. Speaker I would like to bring forth a bill about an issue that has been plaguing this body for the past few days." Josh hawley Spoke

"I will be putting forward the rights of humans bill. This bill will finally establish that humans will be treated first in the law books and in the enforcement of laws. To those that will say I don't care about elementals and that they don't matter here is my response. I will tell you right now that the world's governments must protect all humans. This is non-negotiable. How can we be a nation if we don't protect our people at all costs and let these beasts run wild?"

Senator Mitch McConnell cuts in

"To my friend from Missouri I have to say that an act like this would be drastic as of yet and we can't make a move this early."

"I can't believe I'm going to say this but." Minority leader Chuck Schumer stands and says

"I agree with Senator McConnell. I know it's shocking. An action like this is drastic and irrational. We can not put this forward until we better understand Elementals.

Senator John Neely Kennedy, Senator from Lousianna speaks "I have to say on this bill it does not say that all of our friends don't matter. We all know that many of our friends and family have been affected by this and it is really hard to have to come to terms with it, but we have to live for the future which I believe this bill may be able to do. We are not saying that they mean less and I believe that love is the answer, but I own a handgun just in case. We are saying that we need to keep those who we still have in a safe place and position so that we can then begin to move forward with everything else."

"Moving forward? What we have seen so far in the current state of America has been disastrous" Sherrod Brown of Ohio stands up and spoke loudly

"The unruliness we see now in Minneapolis and Chicago, With Countless deaths we are now seeing. This, this is what it has all gone to."

"A Hawley rhetoric such as this, only strengthens that the United States of America, is set out to make barricades for the Elemental common being."

"You are doing nothing but fueling that! You are going to pave a road to more fear, the fear that parents have for their children's future. They are still people"

"Then what's your plan when those 'people' don't act like people?" Josh Hawkley exclaimed

The Feed of the Senate Ends, and cuts back to the Reporter.

"Well, we have just seen Senator Hawley put forward his bill although it will likely fail. The real question is how much support will he get for this bill? Be that from congress or from the wider American public."
