They all stood around the dining room table, listening to Sam, Christie, and Steve watching some movie that Lucifer had set up for them on the television. They were introduced by the movie colors and were given snacks to keep them occupied for a while.

Michael had paced back and forth while everyone was trying to getting comfortable. It was impossible with the worry that was seeping out of him.

"Mikey, what did you have to tell us?" Gabe asked.

"It's something that came up while I was undercover. I think we all should know about it."

"Is there any reason you didn't bring this up in court?" Amara asked.

"This is no one's business outside of this room. No one's business but us."

"Why don't you tell us then?" Lucifer asked. "The suspense isn't helping anyone."

"Okay," Michael sighed before dragging his hand down his face. "While I was in their house, I found all our adoption records."

Michael reached into his pocket and threw a stack of papers on the table. Dean, who was closest, grabbed the stack and looked through it.

"There are only three records here," Dean responded.

"Why would there only be three?" Kali asked. "Obviously, there are four of you."

Dean continued looking through them. "The top one is Michael's, followed by Lucifer's and finally Gabe's. So... they never adopted Cas."

Cas looked at his mate with a blank look on his face. He didn't know what to do with this information.

"If you look closer, it gets even worse," Michael lamely said.

Dean looked closer at all of the information in front of him, squinting as he looked through the stack. "Did you say that you were adopted when y'all were young children?"

"Yeah, I don't even remember living in a group home," Lucifer responded. "Gabe?"

"Me neither. We were always told we were adopted as babies."

"Well, these records have your secondary designation on them. If you were really adopted as young children, the designations would be written as unknown."

"They only adopted us after we presented?" Lucifer asked, confused.

"I did ask them about it," Michael broke in. "Wasn't anything I thought others should know."

"What did they say?" Gabe asked.

"We weren't really expected to be their children," Michael explained. "Adopting us, in the end, was just to save their own asses. Let's just say they didn't learn that stereotypes don't have a say in anything."

Then everyone sat there with confusion on their faces before Lucifer let out a groan before resting his head against the table.

"So you remember, huh?" Michael asked without irony.

"Really?" Lucifer asked, turning to look at his older brother with a lost look on his face.

"What?" Cas asked, looking back and forth between the two.

"When we were younger, before you came around," Lucifer started to explain, "Naomi and Zachariah used to joke that Gabe would be the perfect omega. He was so quiet and seemed to listen to what everyone said. Now that I think about it, they thought about 'adopting' another child when Gabe's personality started coming in full force."

"I don't remember that," Gabe said.

"You would have been too young," Michael explained. "I remember something similar happening when Lucifer was younger."

"But...," Gabe started before all brothers turned to face their youngest.

"So the plan was to always sell me," Cas mutely said. "I was just the only one it worked on."

Cas backed out of his seat and stood to leave the room. Dean reached to grab his arm, but Cas flinched against the movement. Realizing what he had done, he utterly broke and ran upstairs. They heard a door upstairs slam close. Dean stood up to go after his mate when he had was felt on his shoulder. He looked down and saw Amara's hand moving off his shoulder as she stood up as well.

"Let me go first," she simply stated. "Stay here for now."

The room was filled with a tense silence as they heard her walk up the stairs. Once they heard the door close again, Dean spoke.

"You know, you're parents are the worst assholes on the face of the earth."

"Don't I know it," Michael muttered.

"You know, I don't know what's better," Lucifer muttered. "The fact they planned this forever so that more children weren't affected, or the fact that Cassie's not legally related to those bastards.

The silence the filled the room lasted minutes was broken, but the doorbell ringing.

"That'll be the food," Gabe said, getting his wallet as he walked out of the room.

"I'll tell the other two the food is ready," Kali said, leaving the room and rushing up the stairs.

After getting the children cleaned up and food passed around, those still in the room were eating. The room was tense, but they tried to keep the pups from noticing. It didn't work as all of them were looking at each adult's face.

"Where's Cassie?" Sam asked.

"And Auntie Amara?" Steve continued.

"They went upstairs for a bit," Lucifer answered. "They'll be downstairs soon."

Almost if summoned, the group heard footsteps coming back from downstairs. The three omegas make their way back into the kitchen into their original seats. While Cas' eyes were red, his face was dry.

"Is everything okay?" Dean asked. "You know, with the thing involving... your..."

"They're not my parents," Cas answered loud enough for everyone to hear with a small smile. They could tell it still hurt, but it was a starting point."

"Cassie, you're back!" Sam yelled across the table. "Everyone else started eating without you," he tattled.

"I didn't want to keep any of you from eating. It's okay," Cas answered.

"If you say so," Sam said as he continued.

"If I remember correctly, Sammy, we didn't have to do much to convince you," Lucifer asked.

"I'm a growing child, Luci. I need food."

"I need food, too," Steve agreed.

All the adults laughed at how cute the pups were as they continued stuffing their faces with food.

"Gabe?" Cas asked over the table. "Do you mind if we all stay here tonight and nest?"

"I love the idea, Cassie. Of course, we can."

The rest of dinner was filled with fun conversation and getting to know their brother now that he seemed to be back in their lives. The room had been filled with more love than it had for a while. Afterward, they went back to the living room, watching another movie with the pups, entranced by their giggles as the baby dragons flew across the screen.

As the night continued on, the adults got themselves cleaned up, along with the children. Every so often, another person would come back in the room, shifting into their wolf form. Although no one said anything, it was instantly understood that Castiel would be in the middle of the nest, with Dean curled over his back. Everyone else made their way into different arrangements while the pups laid across the adults of their choosing.

Amara stood alone, the outside group, ensuring that the house was completely secured and all the lights were out before jumping onto the couch and wrapping herself into a bundle. She watched over the entire group and didn't sleep until everyone else as gone into a deep sleep. She thought about the many past lives she had lived, the number of different omegas she had been, how this is always what they worked for before going to sleep herself.
