Chapter 93 – A Study Session Filled with F.U.N.

Marvett's POV

"…And that's the Trampoline Room! It's super bouncy! And that's the Candy Room! It's super yummy! Ooh~! And that's the Bunny Room! It's super-duper DUPER"

"Uh…Raina. Are we going to get to your room soon?" I asked her.

"My room?"

"Remember? We came here to help you with your homework…"

"Oh, yeah! I remember! *giggle*"

*sigh* It's a good thing I suggested to come over here or else Raina would be screwed in her first week of school…

The first Sunday of the new school year is always a tense one. It could decide on whether or not you'll have an easy time with the work the teachers give you. Or, in Raina's case, whether or not you'll remember to do it.

So, to avoid having Raina get on any of the teacher's bad sides, I decided to come over to her house and help her do it. And I even brought Marle along, too.

But the thing with her is…

"Woah…so, this is what the inside of a mansion looks like. It's so big. So spacious. So…So…"

*TWITCH*

"…So much FUN! I bet we can have LOTS OF FUN exploring every single last room! And the fun will last FOREVER! AND EVER! AND EVER! AND"

*TWITCH*

"*moan* Sorry about that…"

Yeah…keeping her under control is going to be just as difficult.

"Well…I can kinda get how you feel, Marle." I said. "This is my first time inside a mansion, too."

"Is it really? But I thought you and Raina were friends for a while."

"Yeah, but it wasn't until I met her…uh…"sister", I guess…that I found out that she was a rich girl." I then thought for a bit. "Or, rather…a clone of a rich girl."

"I see…" Marle went silent for a bit. "…Hey, Raina. How exactly were you created?"

"Uh…I think it was a super shiny gem thingy. Raffina told me about it…but it was really confusing."

"Huh…"

"But! I can do this now!" Then, taking both of us by surprise, Raina started looping around in a circle and even around us a few times.

"H-Holy crap! You're flying!" We both yelled.

"*giggle* Isn't this cool?! I can fly like Harpy now! Yay!"

"W-Woah…"

What kind of super shiny gem thingy are we dealing with here?

"I-In any case, Raina. Let's just head for your room." Marle said. "You do know where it is, right?"

"Duh! Of course, I do! It's my room! Here, I'll show ya!"

Raina then flew away from us at high speeds to her room. Leaving us still in mild shock from what we just saw.

"Raina really is a special friend, huh?" Marle asked.

"Yeah…big time." I replied.

We eventually found Raina standing (she decided to stop flying) in front of what seemed to be her room. And when we stepped inside, it was…uh…I'm not really sure how to describe it…girly, I guess? I mean, Raina isn't exactly girly and more so…an idiot. Point is, I'm shocked that her room looks rather…normal.

Is that the right way to put it?

Anyway…the three of us began working on our homework. With Marle and I constantly getting Raina to focus. A difficult task in its own right.

"*whine* I'm bored! Can we do something else now?"

"No, Raina. We gotta finish this homework first."

"*whine* But why? This crap's boring!"

"Homework is important, Raina." Marle said. "It helps us understand what we learned in school and get even better at it."

"I couldn't say it better myself, Marle." I said.

"*moan* I don't get it, but…fine. We'll do more of this sh*t."

Marle and I both grew a huge sweatdrop from what we just heard from this dense clone friend of ours.

Does Raffina normally swear like this?

"Y-You know, Raina…" Marle spoke. "…if you're interested, there's a game I know of that helps me study."

"Ooh~! A game?! I LOVE games! Tell me! Tell me!"

"Is this really a good idea?" I asked.

"It should be fine. After all…with me being in the Special Ed program, it really helps a lot."

"Huh…okay, then."

"*giggle* Keep watch, ladies. Shiny Bubble!" Marle then formed from her hands a huge shiny white bubble (much like the one we saw when we first met her). Then she got on top of it and then started balancing on it like a circus performer.

"W-Woah…" I said.

"It's a weird habit…but I usually balance on my bubbles while I study, make ice cream, or…pretty much do any kind of work." Marle explained. "It helps me stay focused. So, I made a game out of it: How long can I keep my balance? It can be pretty fun at times."

"I see…"

Surprised she didn't change this time…

"Ooh~! That looks super DUPER fun!" Raina cheered. "I wanna try, Marly!"

"Sure thing, Raina. Shiny Bubble!" Marle then created a bubble for Raina and she happily got on it. Easily mastering the technique after only seeing it just a few seconds ago.

"Wow, Raina. You're doing really well. Great job."

"*giggle* Thanks, Marly!"

"Come on, Marvett. Join us." Marle then said to me.

"Uh…I don't know. I'm not exactly…light enough for a bubble."

And I'm not just saying that because I gained a few kilograms over the summer…

"Oh, not to worry. My bubbles can carry any weight up to 1,000kg. So, you don't have to worry about them popping."

(about 2,200lb)

"Why would they need to carry that much…?" I gained a sweatdrop.

"Come on, Marvie! Try it! It's super-duper fun!" Raina said as she was now spinning on her bubble with only one foot.

"*sigh* Why not." I said as I stood up from the floor. "Hit me."

"Okey-dokie, Marvett. Shiny Bubble!" Marle then created a similar bubble for me and I got on it (with some struggle) to join the two happy girls. It was pretty difficult at first. But after a few attempts of trial and error…

"W-Wow…you're right, Marle. This is pretty fun."

"See? I told you." Marle said with a light giggle.

"Yay! This is really REALLY fun! I wanna do this forever! Bouncy! Bouncy! Bouncy!" Raina cheered as she was now jumping on the bubble with only one foot.

"Ah! Raina! Don't jump on the…"

"W-Woah…woah! Waaah!"

Raina then slipped off of her bubble and fell to the ground. Meanwhile, the bubble was bouncing off everywhere and it eventually knocked both Marle and me off of our own bubbles. Joining Raina on the floor as we watched the other two bubbles ricochet off of walls much like the first one.

This phenomenon went on for another few seconds before all three bubbles met at the center of the room and formed into one ginormous-looking bubble. Bigger than the size of a boulder.

"W-Woah…" I said.

"M-Marly…" Raina said with mild fear.

"Th-This…is not good…" Marle said.

It was pretty much the last words spoken by any of us before the bubble came down and drenched us with soapy water. Making our clothes wet beyond compare.

No doubt the weirdest study session I've ever had…

Marle and I ended up borrowing some of Raina's clothes while ours were being dried off. And from that point on, we decided to just study like normal. Not wanting to risk getting these clothes all messed up, too.

"I'm deeply sorry for what happened." Marle said. "I should've told you that jumping on the bubbles is a very bad idea."

"It's fine, Marle." I said. "It was only our clothes that got wet. So, it wasn't that big of a deal."

Though, it does suck that I'm not wearing any underwear right now…

"I don't mind either, Marly." Raina said. "In fact, I had SUPER fun! Yay!"

"*giggle* Glad you enjoyed it, Raina."

"Hey, hey! Marvie! Can we play something else later?! Huh?! Huh?! Can we?! Can we?!" Raina then asked me as she excitedly grew closer to my face.

"Sure, Raina. Let's just do some regular studying first, okay?"

"Okay!"

At least the incident got her more interested in studying…

"Well, this is an interesting sight to see. Raina actually studying…" We then saw Raffina standing by the door. Wearing a simple t-shirt and a pair of shorts.

"Oh, hey, Raffina." I greeted the…uh…original(?).

"Hey, Raffina! Check it! I can fly now!" Raina said as she started looping in vertical circles.

"Wh-What the…wh-when were you able to do that?!"

"Uh…yesterday. It happened shortly after you and Feli left. I just went *WHOOSH* and flew all over."

"I see…Damn. Is this Arle's Rubelcrack causing trouble again?"

Rubelcrack? Is that the gem that created Raina? And why does it belong to Arle?

"*sigh* Anyway…I was actually worried that this dense little girl would forget to do any work today. Glad you had the same idea, Marvett."

"Thanks." I said. "I was just as concerned as you were, honestly. So, I came here to help out. With some assistance of my own."

"Hello. My name is Marle Sākuru. We became friends when they both joined my club at school."

"S-Seriously? First, you make your own friends and now you've joined a club? You're really surprising me with how capable you are, Raina."

"*giggle* Thanks, Raffina!"

"Was that a compliment?" Marle whispered to me.

"I…don't think so." I replied with a sweatdrop.

*RINGTONE CHIME*

"Huh? That's weird…Ami wants me to come over to the museum. Something about it being important."

"Uh…Ami?" Marle asked.

"Oh, sorry. I mean my girlfriend Amitie Rose. She works at the museum here in town."

"A-Amitie's here?! Wow…so, this is where she moved to."

"What's with the surprised reaction?"

"Marle, do you know Amitie from somewhere?" I asked her.

"Yes. She's actually my cousin."

"S-Seriously?!" Raffina and I yelled in shock.

"Cool…" While Raina said in amazement.

"Did she not tell you?"

"No, she didn't." Raffina said. "Ever since we've met her, we believed that it was just her, Melody, and her father that's stuck in prison right now."

"I see…I guess it makes sense with what she's been through this past year. Still can't believe all of it was caused by a hat, of all things."

"A hat?" I asked.

"I-It's a long story, Marvett." Raffina said to me.

What kind of weird stuff happens in this town?

"Anyway…if you want to see her, Marle, you can tag along with me. I'm leaving in a few minutes."

"Um…that's okay. I'm in no rush to see her. Maybe we can get together later."

"And besides…we're gonna do something extra special fun later!" Raina added. "Marvie promised!"

"Really now? Well, good luck with that." Raffina said as she started walking away from the doorway.

"You know…I'm surprised you didn't go with her, Marle." I said to her. "A chance to see a family member after what you said happened to her…I would've at least considered it."

"Yes, but…other than the fact that I'm not wearing any underwear right now and going outside without them is NOT an option…"

So, she has the same embarrassment as I do right now…

"…now that I know she's here, I can go see them whenever I feel like it. Right now, I just want to have more fun with my friends."

"R-Really?"

"Yep. To spend this first weekend with my two first friends and have…"

*TWITCH*

"…Extra super SPECIAL fun! Fun that never ends and keeps us all together for all of ETERNITY! Just the thought of it…the amount of fun we can all have in this PITIFULLY short day…it's burning up my soul in undeniable excitement! THE FUN WILL NEVER STOP FOR US! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

*TWITCH*

"*whine* And I was doing well in holding it in, too!" Marle teared up in embarrassment after reverting back from her other personality.

"You don't have to force yourself, Marle." I said. "We like you for who you are. Right, Raina?"

"Yep! I love you just as much as I love Marvie, Marly!"

"L-L-Love?!" Marle grew a heavy blush on her face.

"R-Raina…I keep telling you not to say that so casually." I said with a blush of my own.

"But why, though? It is bad to love your friends?"

"W-Well…n-no…"

"I-It's great that you see us as friends, Raina…" Marle said. "…b-but maybe try using a different word?"

"I don't get it. Why can't I love you guys?"

"Tch!" We grew more nervous.

Damnit, Raina! Don't make this more complicated than it already is!

"W-Well…" And right when we were going to answer with SOMETHING

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Miss Raina. You and your friend's clothes are finished drying."

"Oh, thank God…" Marle and I both mumbled once Raina's maid Lily opened the door.

"Yay! They're done! Don't worry, guys! I'll go get your bra and panties!"

"R-Raina!" We both yelled in embarrassment as Raina flew out of her room to get our underwear.

"M-Miss Raina…*sigh* Sorry about that, ladies." Lily said. "Miss Raina is a…very special girl."

"It's fine…we're already used to it." I said.

Better for it to be now so that we can prepare for the rest of the school year…

Author's Note: Just an average Sunday study session with this trio of new friends. It's an original chapter…but that basically all I have to say about it.

Also, Raina can fly now. I said before that her powers from previous stories won't be here…but screw it.

Thanks for reading. Later.
