Hey, guys!
It's Sentai Red and here's the second chapter!
Now, I know you may thinking, "Didn't you just post the first chapter not so long ago?" And you're right, I have. However, I feel as though, I wanted to upload this the way most shows like Kamen Rider are shown; every Sunday. Now, unfortunately, I didn't post this chapter in the morning like Super Hero Time airs their new episodes, but I figured, if it's a Sunday it'll work still!
So, every Sunday, you should expect a new chapter!
Chapter 3 is already in the works, about halfway done. Chapter 4 and 5 are in the planning phases right now. I will say that as I write, the tonal whiplash is real! I do apologize, but there's going to be a reason for that. But, enough about the future, enjoy the present with this new chapter!
About 10km north outside the vicinity of Slateport City, a couple are making out in their tent. They look to be in their late teens, their Pokémon sleeping out in front of the tent, giving their trainers some alone time. The girl pants, pulling away from her boyfriend, "I need it…"
She gets on top of her boyfriend, straddling him, giving him every opportunity to take her. The two try to take off their clothes, wanting to give in to their carnal pleasures. Outside, the boy's Grumpig wakes up to a rustle in the bushes. It looks at the rustling bushes confused, it wakes up the girl's Kirlia, making the Kirlia grumble for being woken up… especially when she can feel her trainers heat. It's embarrassing!
"Grump," Grumpig snorts at it, pointing at the rustling bushes, catching the Kirlia's attention.
"Lia…" Kirlia narrows its eyes, getting close to the bushes.
The rustling continues to get crazier, making them rush over to it. They don't like dealing with their trainers getting it on, but at least they'd keep them safe while they did the deed. Grumpig wags it tail, ready to pounce. Kirlia rolls her eyes, "Kirlia…" it just goes through the bushes.
Grumpig pouts, just walking through the bushes too.
They find nothing.
Kirlia frowns, looking around, trying to sense if something was there. They know something is around here! Grumpig crosses its arms, disappointed they couldn't find anything, but it just walks forward. Kirlia eyes it but pays it no mind as she tries to use her Calm Mind to increase her innate Psychic abilities to detect anything around them.
… She senses something!
"Kir Kirlia!" She calls out to Grumpig, who just stares at her. She gestures for it to follow her, which makes the pig nod. The two run with Kirlia taking the lead. They would ultimately be led to a clearing in the forest, one bigger than even what their trainers found! However, it seems it's not as calming or as beautiful as one might think.
In front of them is a huge spider web! The webbing is so thick as if made of rope! Grumpig looks at it, creeped out. Kirlia frowns, sensing danger. "Kir kir!" She tells Grumpig to head back and make sure their trainers are okay. Grumpig was about to head back when they hear bloodcurdling screams!
It was their trainers!
They immediately dash back to their campsite!
Dashing as quickly as they can, they are shocked to see the campsite completely ransacked! The Pokéballs containing their friends are completely smashed! Kirlia tries to hold in her tears as she cries out for her trainer, Grumpig already crying and sniffing.
Their trainers' tents is ripped to shreds! The tent has some sharp hairs protruding from the material, as if whatever happened here, they knew it was an attack! But from what? Grumpig snarls, immediately wanting to avenge its trainer! They must be here somewhere!
Kirlia stares at the smashed Pokéballs, the amorphous energy her friends are normally transformed into while they're in the Pokéball is just gelatinous goop now.
But her thoughs are interrupted as the same rustling is heard in the bushes again! The two Pokémon stare as a woman's bare leg sticks out in the bushes! As they rush to go to the leg, the leg itself is pulled away and they chase after whatever got their trainers!
They run back to the clearing, hoping to ambush it, but the figure jumps from tree to tree, before jumping straight to the web. In its extra appendages, are held their trainers… wrapped in its webbing! Kirlia gasps and Grumpig has had enough! It uses Psybeam to attack the demon in front of it!
It hits it directly in the back, making it drop the cocoon on the left of it. Kirlia uses Psychic to grab the figure. She tries to open the cocoon and when it begins to crack, she is completely disgusted and terrified at what she sees!
It's her trainer and she's completely sunken in! Her skin just shriveled up! Her hair is gone, her eyeballs gouged, everything is just gone! All that's left is her face stuck in a horrified stare, as if she was screaming for her life! Kirlia… Kirlia just screams a mortified scream.
The Arachnid monster sneers, narrowing its eyes at the Pokémon that stand before him. He's still feeding… he's hungry. He's mad. He's really, really mad.
With that, he lunges at the two Pokémon.
KUREEEEE
Pokémon: Project 'Kamen Rider'
Epic 2: The Emissary of Hell! Arach Man!
Ash stares at Serena as she's shopping around in Slateport City, his face in despair. His arms hurt.
It's been over a couple of hours since they first arrived in Slateport City, one of the bigger cities in mainland Hoenn, and the first thing Serena opted to do was shop! He had no choice in the matter either way, since she stole the keys to his motorbike, making him even more mortified at the fact he's stuck here! 'I'm strong enough to fight some bad guys, but I'm not strong enough to hold all these bags?!' The hotel they booked was far away and he can't just outright abandon her here. She'd just follow him and make sure she gets her point across – Do not leave her again.
She looks like a kid at a candy shop, her eyes glimmering at all the clothes around her. He sighs, clearly, he's not that strong to say no to his… what even is she to him? He can't say girlfriend, they attempted to have a relationship, but the attack on the League interrupted it. She admitted she loved him, but he's afraid… Afraid of her getting hurt because of him. Afraid to lose her. Afraid he's not enough for her. Whichever it is, he's afraid.
'Why am I so complicated…' Of course, he loves her, that much is obvious. He cares deeply for her, but he just doesn't want to say it yet. He was willing to leave and let her be, but she forced her way back into his life… Not like he put up much of a fight. Her declaration of love and wanting to learn how to fight made him realize how much of a jackass he was to her.
"Ash?"
He stops thinking as he stares at her with a dumb expression, "Eh?"
She makes his heart stop beating as she twirls in a mustard yellow, white floral printed surplice front dress. Completing the wardrobe is a small straw hat, with a blue ribbon sewn into it. She sticks her tongue out shyly, "What do you think?" A small blush forming on her cheeks, not wanting to look at his reaction.
He stammers, "I, you, wow…"
Hiding a grin, she does a curtsy, "Glad you like it! I just bought it and I thought it was cute enough to wear right now!" Ash notices some guys staring at her and he growls in jealousy. She notices his jealous glare and smiles, "Oh, don't be like that, Ash! No guy can compare to you," she winks.
It doesn't stop him from glaring at the boys around, but he stops as he stares at her, "I… I guess. It's just," he looks at her with a look of regret, "How did you not move on from me?" She frowns at his question. She knows he's not trying to hurt her or offend her with the question, but she still feels like a stabbing sensation in her heart. She cups his face and gives him a chaste kiss on the lips, making the guys around her leave, disappointed.
"Oh, you silly man," she sighs, "even if you were really dead, I still wouldn't have moved on. You… you were my everything, and sure, I would have liked to have been with someone and one day start a family, but I held on to the fact you were alive. I wanted to be with you and while I did try to date, no one can even compare to you, Ash Ketchum. They're not the boy that saved me all those years ago in some summer camp, they weren't the boy I traveled an entire region with, the one I helped save that region!"
She winks at him, a loving smile adorned on her face, "Ash Ketchum, I would have waited forever for you."
He chuckles, "I hate holding these bags, because I can't stop these tears, dammit," he tries to wipe his tears, the same tears threatening to fall from his face, "God, look at me, crying. I thought it was the man that was supposed to say the romantic stuff! When did I become such a sap?"
She laughs, helping him wipe those tears, "Well, you were never the romantic one, after all. It's my job to be the romantic one." She winks, "Besides, a woman can be just as romantic and initiate it. Don't be so sexist." She jokes.
He gives her a small, toothy grin, "Yeah… I guess so, huh? … Uh… Listen, I… I lo-" she stops him, a finger on his lips, making him blink.
She gives him a sweet smile, "No, don't say it if you're not ready. I know you, you're still afraid of losing me, but don't worry. When I get good at this fighting and I can fight by your side, I will make sure you lose that fear. Until then, wait for me." He nods. He can do that at least.
When did she become the mature one?
She notices his arms shaking and snickers, "I guess we can go back to the hotel and drop off the bags. But, tomorrow, we're shopping for you. I'm sorry," she crosses her arms at him, a disapproving glance at his clothes makes him worry, "You look like trash, Ash… Heh, that rhymes." She sticks her tongue out at him playfully.
He just laughs.
The two would eventually drop off the bags of her clothes in the hotel that they had booked. Serena, as a Top Coordinator, and Kalos Queen, has earned a steady paycheck and high income to afford a decent hotel in Slateport City. Ash keeps promising he'll pay her back for it, but she brushes it off.
The two go to the beach, but not for fun and relaxation, well for the two of them that is. They would drop their stuff on the sand, finding a space away from people, but can still be seen. To their back is a small cliffside, where the Slateport City Lighthouse is built on top of. A relic of the past that still shines brightly in the night to help wayward sailors. Serena sends out her Pokémon and tells them to relax for the day, as she and Ash begin her training. For Ash, he wants her to begin a light jog around the beach. About 1.5km to start things off.
She has since switched over to blank, pink t-shirt and gray sweatpants. Ash could have sworn he had immediate heat flashes.
"C'mon, Ash," Serena playfully scolds him, "Do take this serious! While I do like seeing you look like a mess, I would like it more if you began training me!"
Ash had to smack himself to regain clarity. Man, this was going to be a lot tougher than he thought! But there was this fulfilling sensation in him as she was eager to learn. Who was he to deny her that chance? If she wanted to be trained, then train her he shall! He claps his hands "Alright, Serena! Let's begin with a 1.5km jog! While your performances can be very good for your cardio, this will truly give you better endurance and provide a better cardio workout than dancing… Er, no offense."
She doesn't take offense as she nods at his explanation, putting her finger on her chin, in a thinking way, "That would also help me out not tire out while performing, I can do that!"
He chuckles, happy to see her also think about her future performances, "Great! Now, I'll be joining you on this since I want to give you any pointers. Remember, breathe steadily as you run. If you feel the need to slow down, then do that. We're not going to do the heavy stuff until we see what you can do."
With warm up stretches out of the way, the two then do the run along the beach, running at a brisk pace. Serena has a determined smile on her face, wanting to prove herself to not just Ash, but herself. That day on the beach when she was attacked made her feel useless! Her Pokémon provided so much help, but here she was crying and screaming at the horrible thing that was going to kill her. Ash fighting the way he did showed her that, while she may not get his 'superpowers', she can at least try to help him out in any way!
Her heart was beating rapidly during the run, but she didn't quit. She kept doing the 1.5km run and before she knew it, she immediately forgot how far she was running. She just kept running… and running! Ash had to run in front of her, a proud smile on his face, "Well, we just ran 2.5km now… Want to get to 3km and call it quits for that?"
She gave him a confident nod, and before they knew it, they passed 3km without a hitch. Serena then felt her own weight as she collapsed on her knees, panting harshly. Ash rubbed her back soothingly, grabbing a water bottle from the backpack he was holding, "Here, drink it slowly."
She did just that, but she ended up drinking the entire water bottle, "Wow…" she gasps, "I think I'm not all that in shape, huh?"
Ash laughs, "Nah, you did amazing! Remember, we used to do a lot of walking, but running is a different beast all things considered. For a first-time test run, you did fantastic. Just give yourself a minute or two to wind down and we'll just jog back." Serena nods, giving herself time to have her heart return to its normal pace.
The jog back wasn't that bad and Serena smiles, stretching, "Man, that was great! Anything else, Professor Ash?" She hides her laugh as Ash looks embarrassed at being called a professor like that.
"W-well, I think we can begin with basic punches and kicks, just to give you a form," he has her spread her legs and have them bend, "Just give yourself a firm foundation. You need to provide a firm grip to the floor, because when you're punching, or then kicking, you're going to need to put your weight behind them. With poor form, you're going to hurt yourself more than your opponent."
She nods and as he teaches her basic forms of punches and kicks, she asks him, "How did you learn how to fight, Ash? You were never much of a fighter." She would ask them after every punch, small grunts escaping her lips.
"Well, like I said, they tried to mold me into some warrior," he states, "In some cases, I was held against my will to fight. I guess, that was their mistake, because I was able to improve my form a lot faster than without it." The two would notice Pancham staring at them, wanting to join in, as he imitates his trainer and her crush.
Ash smiles, "Do you want to join, Pancham?"
"Cham?"
"Join us, Pancham! Think of this as another way to better our performances!" Pancham's eyes glisten and nods, excitedly. He begins punching back and forth, in the same stance Serena was in, making Ash start to think about his Pokémon. Especially his starter.
'Pikachu… Guys…' He thinks lamentably, 'I miss you all, but hang in there… I will see you guys soon. I will finish my fight and come home,' He looks at Serena, 'Possibly even sooner.'
He stiffens, feeling the hairs on his neck rise, 'Crap.'
Something is here. He discretely glances around, hoping to be able to see who's stupid enough to attack them out in the open. There are people still at the beach, playing around and relaxing, so whatever is happening, they don't seem to notice. His fight or flight system kicking in, he turns to Serena, "We have to go. Be quick about it, but don't be obvious too." He leaves no room for discussion, his voice becoming guttural.
Before she can respond, she shrieks as Ash gets pulled away from her, a thick white rope wrapping around him! He struggles as he gets slammed against the cliff, groaning. They look to see the Arach Man staring at them, his claws already out, ready to slash Ash's throat. He tries to loosen the thick web around his neck, as the Arach Man just pulls him towards him, having Ash dangle in the air.
Before it can strike, Serena immediately calls out, "Braixen! Flamethrower, now!"
A spiral of fire flying straight at the beast, it sneers and makes a recognizable screech that Serena dares not forget.
KUREEEEE
People overhear the screech, realizing that the monster has gotten another victim, and they all begin running away, their Pokémon in hot pursuit. Serena frowns. Cowards. She immediately calls for Nincada to use X-Scissor, which the bug does and slashes the web, causing Ash to fall to the sand. She rushes to him, but he stops her, "Keep him away from anybody else, keep the pressure up. I'll deal with him."
"Be careful," she states, ready to fight.
He smirks, getting up, adrenaline pumping and his Driver belt appearing out of thin air, "No promises."
He then screams out the ancient phrase, one the cultists ingrained into his brain, "Henshin!" Transform. He rushes to the beast, surrounded by a flash of green light, and he's in his armored form. Ready to fight. "Now, keep the pressure up! Keep throwing moves at him!" He commands, his guttural voice returning.
"Right! You heard the man, keep it up, everyone!" She encourages her Pokémon.
Shaymin uses Energy Ball to block the Arach Man's escape as it tries to crawl backwards among the cliffside. Shaymin giving it a confident smirk as if challenging it to a fight. The Arach Man tries to jump at it, but covers its face as Sylveon blasts it with Swift, the stars stinging its body sharply.
It screeches again, forcing itself to jump up in the air and uses its webs to fling itself up the cliff, but Nincada and Shaymin both charge at it, hitting it with a Headbutt. It gasps in pain, a bruise forming on its side. It creates a lasso from its web and swings it Shaymin who unfortunately gets caught.
With what looks like a smirk, the Arach Man begins swinging its web lasso and makes it connect with Nincada, who holds on and uses its sharp appendages to cut the webbing. Pancham rushes up, jumping on top of Ash's shoulder to use Stone Edge along the cliffside. Ash jumps on the stones and punches the beast along with Pancham.
The trio fall to the floor, but Ash grabbed Pancham and held it tightly, protecting it from the impact.
He puts the panda down and stares at the perfectly fine monster, walking towards with confidence. It swings its arms, its appendages resting on its arms, as if making a giant lance from the wrist. It swings its arms low to the ground, picking sand in the air. It cackles at Ash, who just blocks Pancham, wanting to fight it. "Go," he ushers Pancham, it immediately runs back to Serena, who holds him in her arms.
He puts his fists up, trying to sidestep the beast, as the two just wait for a chance to strike.
With another swing of its enhanced arms, that's when Ash charged at it. He grabs the arms, the two fighting for control. Ash loses the battle as the beast headbutts him, making him let go. The monster swings at him, swiping Ash at the chest, sparks flying from his chest, as Ash falls to the ground. He recovers fast enough to roll to the side as the Arach Man tries to stab him with his sharp arms.
Using his legs, he kicks the Arachnid away from him, giving himself time to stand up.
"Okay, he's strong and with those sharp arms of his, I won't be able to reach him, unless…" he smirks. Oh, he has an idea. When he ate that marble looking thing from the monster that attacked Serena, he was being truthful that it augments his powers. He just never mentioned how.
Quickly, he runs towards the spider, his Driver glowing bright yellow. The spider closes all its eyes, but it's sent flying, grabbing its chest in pain as blood seeps out. Serena stares in shock at the sight. What just happened?
He has wings, like that of an Aerodactyl, on his arms! He has talons as well in place of hands and feed. Feeling confident, he smirks at the shocked Arach Man, "Let's fly." He immediately begins to fly at it, grabbing it quickly. He sends it flying with him, high in the air, grabbing its appendages and ripping them out, as they begin to fall.
The monster screeches in pain, trying to bite Ash as a last resort, but Ash slashes its face with his talons. He then let's go of the monster as it falls to the sand, writhing in agony. It tries to get up, but Ash begins to dive at him, dropping down immensely fast, his talons ready to stab him!
He stabs the beast at great force, the monster just bends at the impact, mouth agape. Flying from it, Ash lands safely on the ground to a shocked Serena, the powerup dematerializing as he gives her a thumbs up. The monster explodes, another marble landing directly between them.
"And done."
One of the cult leaders just sighs, waiting to be reprimanded, "We lost Arachnos, my Lord." He felt the death of one of his creations and it frustrates him. Now, he looks less reliable to his own Lord! Out of the three, he was always the most careful; the one to plan for things, to make sure everything worked as planned! Now, he just failed, and his Lord is going to punish him for his failures! The other two leaders weren't here to suffer the same consequences!
Thinking he was going to die, he immediately prostrates, begging for forgiveness, but to his surprise, the masked figure chuckles. He stares in confusion to the man in front of him, who plays with the wine in his hand. "My Lord?"
"You know? Maybe that wasn't such a loss after all." The masked figure chuckles, "To think, these little pellets, an accidental creation by you filthy peons, is what it takes to make someone stronger. Who'd have thought?" He cracks the wine glass in his hand, then it shatters. "I have an idea…"
Getting up from his makeshift throne, he walks over to the cultist leader that delivered him the bad news, "Why don't we pay Ash Ketchum a visit?"
And we're done!
Hope you all enjoyed Chapter 2! It's going to get serious now, just trust me. Please leave a review if you want! I always look forward to reading them!
