The first time it happened…. I don't know why I didn't stop him. I don't know why my body reacted the way it did, or why I craved more.

"Where's Happy?" He growls out. "After four fucking months, that all you have to say to me!" He roars.
I flinch. I didn't expect him to notice. Immediately, guilt floods my system like a river.
He grabs my shoulders and forces me to look him in the eyes. The guilt I feel amplifies when I see pain and rejection in his eyes.
"Do… Do you not want to be my partner anymore?" He stammers out.
"I figured you were going to want to be partners with Lisanna, since she is alive." I mumble out sheepishly. Hastily I add, "I wouldn't blame you. Everyone thought she was gone for good. It's only natural that you want to spend time with her."
He gets this weird look in his eye, which I don't get to ponder on, because he softly responds, "you are my partner Luce."
His statement makes the guilt in my system roar to life. I step out of his hold and say, "If you think I can't take care of myself…" I'm cut short as he wraps his arms around my waist and his face is buried in my neck. The feeling of his breath is down right sinful.
"That's not it at all." He mumbles still with his face in my neck. "You are super awesome Luce. I chose you to be my human partner. You are the brain to our whole operation. Without you, me and Happy will starve." He whimpers out. His attempt at making a joke allowed me to stop focusing on how good his breath feels across my neck and his body against mine to step back a little and glowered at him.
His face is in mine and he smiles sheepishly but his smile allows me to smile too.
"Lis will be here when we are done with our jobs. Please stop avoiding me." He says. The intensity of his eyes makes my insides melt.
"Ok. I will. I'm sorry." I respond, sincere in my feelings. He smiles at me, then tugs me against him again and Buries his face in my neck again. I put my hands on his chest with the intention to step back and push I'm away but he growls and tightens his grip around me. I had to bite my tongue to keep from moaning at how good his tight grip feels.
"No more pushing me away!" He growls out looking me in the eye.
I nod my head and say ,"yes, I promise."
He presses his forehead to mine and closes his eyes. He unwraps his arms from my waist and drags his hands to my hips.
"Natsu?" I whisper, absolutely hating the hitch in my voice.
He opens his eyes to look at me but the expression I see is unreadable.
"I promised Happy we'd go fishing so I gotta go but please meet me at the guild tomorrow." He says as he gets go of me and I drop my hands to my side, but the look on his face suggests he didn't want to let go anymore than I wanted him to.
"I will see you tomorrow." I say.
The look of complete happiness that crossed his face before he smiled that wide smile that never fails to make my heart skip a beat. He closes the door behind him and I slump on the couch. Damn. I'm tired.
I took a breath as I walked into the doors of Fairy Tail.
"Hey Lucy!" The collective shouts of my guild members meet my ears. I smile widely as I say hi to everyone on the way to the bar where Mira is taking Gajeel's order.
"Good morning Lucy." She greets. "Would you like a strawberry smoothie?"
"Mira, How do you always read my mind?" I question her. Mira always knew what I needed before I needed it. She turned to make everything in the kitchen as I sat down. I began to scan the guild when Gajeel pipes up. "Salamander isn't here yet Bunny girl."
My face instantly gets hot and I turn to look at him.
"I figured whatever issue you two were having, it's resolved now that you are here later in the day." He explains. The guilt that I felt yesterday flares at his statement but I don't respond.
At the same time I feel warm muscular arms wrap around my waist. I hear Natsu's voice growl out, "Get your own partner metal mouth!"
Gajeel gazes at him for a moment, and I figure these too are about to start brawling so I attempt to step out of Natsu's grip. Natsu tightens his grip and Gajeel shouts to Mira, "oye demon I'ma be at my table." Then stalks off.
"yoooouuu loooovee heerrr!" The sing-song voice of Happy chimes in from above my head. My face is flaming by now as I try to get Natsu to release me. He does as Erza and Grey walk up to us.
Natsu sits next to me but he sits closer than I remember him sitting before. His thigh flush against mine.
"Hey Lucy, long time no see." Grey says as he sits on the other side of me. Erza sits beside him and Happy sits Infront of me at the bar.
"Hey guys, sorry I've been a little absent. I've been training." I say as the guilt roars back to life as I realize it hasn't been just Natsu but the whole guild I've been avoiding. I felt Natsu stiffen beside me. Lisanna walks up and sits on the other side of Natsu and I feel the strange need to put some space between us but before I can, he places his hand on my thigh.
"Training is always good. Have you learned any new techniques?" Erza questions. I'm trying not to enjoy the warmth of Natsu's hand on my thigh but I no longer want to be away from him. Not wanting to dwell on that, I respond to Erza. "I did. I learned a celestial technique called star dress. It allows me to use the power of the spirit in question inside myself and use it as if it were my own. It kinda works like your requip."
"That's so cool, Lushi!" Happy exclaims. "You should show us!"
I smile at him and say "sure, I'd love to."
Natsu jumps up and shouts "fight me Luce!"
I sweatdrop because I should have expected this. Erza punches him in the head, points to the door and shouts, "Outside! We don't need you two breaking the guild hall!"
Pot meet kettle, I think to myself but don't dare say it out loud. I may be stronger but I'm no match for Titania.
"Isn't Lucy a celestial wizard?" Lisanna asks. "Her magic isn't exactly suited for combat."
I don't know why I took offense to that because she was right but it did blow my ego a little.
"Nonsense!" Natsu exclaims. "I've seen Luce take down big and bad people with her magic and her whip! She's a total badass!"
I blush because I didn't realize he felt that way about me and my abilities. At this moment I wanted to fight him… to beat him..to feel like I deserve his praise.
I grab his arm and lead him outside. He looks puzzled but follows. "Wendy isn't here to heal you so I'll try to be gentle." I said to him. That strange look in his eye as he held me last night crossed his eyes but then he smiled and screamed, "Bring it on Luce! Don't hold back!" Then his voice lowers and my heart stutters at the next words to come out of his mouth. "I won't hold back if you don't." I don't know why that phrase got me so hot but it did. I push past the feeling as we get outside.
He gets into position. His shoulders are squared and he is crouched low. I bite my lip as I transform into my Aquarius star dress. He freezes and slowly looks me up and down. That look in his eye is...he… could he be...Then we both hear the whistles from the other guild members, and Loke, Who no doubt felt my arousal and came to be nosy. The steam clears and I let him up. He begins to walk away but stops, turns to me and says,"you win this one but I'm gonna beat you Luce!"
It's quiet then all of a sudden the collective shout of "Lucy beat Natsu!" Rings around the yard. I sweatdrop. This time annoyed, "don't sound so surprised!" I quip back. My eyes meet Loke and the knowing grin on his face makes me remember the feeling of Natsu's tongue on my thigh. I roll my eyes at him and walk back inside.
I take my seat next to Natsu as Mira hands me my smoothie. "Natsu told me about your match. I'm glad you've been training" I take a sip and moan lightly.
